I recently moved into this property and I absolutely love it! I moved into one of the newly…read morerenovated studio apartments and there's so much space. I love that my bathroom, closet & kitchen are separate. The move in process was quick, efficient & inexpensive. The property manager Cait is amazing and that's really hard to find. Her professionalism and smile definitely keep positive energy in this place. The maintenance crew is always prompt and quick to fix any apartment issues. They are also very friendly so don't be afraid to say Hi! This property is pet friendly so don't be alarmed to see residents walking their furry friends in the area. The only concerns I have are that the security entry panel to buzz people in doesn't work & hasn't work for months . It may seem like something minor but for living on the main line you'd expect that one simple thing to be working. I mean who wants to have to go down to the lobby and open the door for every guest they have. Also I would recommend they change the hallway carpet, they are outdated & have a few stains that's not appealing. Other than that, I would definitely recommend a friend to check this place when looking to move to Ardmore! It's walking distance to everything including the train.

I had made an appointment over the phone a week in advance and when I got there the manager April told me that she thought I would be here by myself and not have another person. Weird welcome, but okay. She then told me "I don't have any one bedrooms to show you, I would have called but I thought you'd be by yourself so I was just going to show you a studio." I never once expressed interest in a studio, so really she should have called me either way, and I let April know that I said I would be having two tenants in my apartment when I made my appointment to begin with, to which she responded "you called our answering service in Utah and they're idiots" I don't see how this is my problem, and April never once apologized for any of this miscommunication. I asked her if there was a better number to call, she said "no, but I'm not always here and that's when the answering service picks up." so then I asked if there was a good time or day of the week to call and she said no. She offered to just show us the rest of the building. We viewed two areas of the building before April told me to move my car. When I went to move the car she asked if I would be coming back after (??) She was obviously unprepared and kept asking if we wanted to leave like she didn't even want us to be there. I don't know what kind of training these people have but they need some serious improvements. This was extremely inconvenient considering I currently live an hour away from these apartments and my boyfriend and I both took the day off just to see this place. Based on this experience I would never live here.

The strong pungent skunk like odor is not a gas leak or methane but drugs being smoked and combusted at night when the offices are closed. The apartment units below and complexes nearby reek of pot and venting out the odors with their dryers and open windows/ doors all hours of the day and night and never leave down below. They cover up the drugs and smoking DESPITE THE BAN ON SMOKING AND SIGNING IT IN THE LEASE. If you take a drive by after the office closes especially the weekends, then you will see and smell the drugs and smoke anytime between 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Don't even get me started on how people take 2 spots and block you out of parking the worst on the weekends just to shuffle the people in and out all night long. The Management does not do anything to enforce their own polices and rules equally nor do they conduct inspections of the units or check any vehicles are parked correctly and belong there. This last sentence is so funny and true that the incompetent management had to email the entire apartment property asking everyone if they knew who the unregistered vehicle parked was they had to tow out of the way so the construction workers can do their work. Great place to live if you are colored, smoke cigarettes or pot, and any ethnicity but white as they are a disfavored minority.

The only real plus of Rosemont Plaza is the location, especially if you're a student at one of the…read morelocal universities. The building is very old and it shows. You have no ability to control the temperature in your apartment outside of the 3 settings on the combined AC/Heater that every unit has which is ultimately controlled by the building. The air is usually very humid and the building can often smell musty. There were also numerous occasions of foul odors coming from sink drains in my unit. Maintenance came in and said that it's possible that a small mouse may have crawled up a pipe and gotten stuck. This persisted until I ultimately moved out. Speaking of moving out, it was a hassle. You have to "schedule" your move so you are given access to a set of elevator keys, which makes sense. What doesn't make sense is how most of the slots on weekends were always taken so management would "strongly suggest" that you pick a different day. I still had a number of days on my lease with some small things left over in my unit they were taken by maintenance. Management ultimately reimbursed me for the value of what was taken but again, these are things that just shouldnt happen.

I have lived in a one-bedroom in the Rosemont Plaza for just over a year. The neighborhood is…read moreextremely safe and is convenient given its proximity to 476, 76, KOP, and Northwest Philadelphia. There is a quiet small park across the street, and a McDonalds, Subway and CVS within easy walking distance. Rosemont Plaza hosts some very big rooms. If you are in the front of the building (facing Lancaster) you have wonderful light throughout the day. Lancaster Ave however can be quite loud in the early morning and in the early evening during rush hour. The free (non-HD) cable included with rent was a nice perk when I was searching for apartments, and the fact that they have Comcast SportsNet was a huge plus! The granite countertop in kitchen with modern flooring/appliances was also a draw, although the bathrooms and lobby are outmoded- the bathrooms in the lobby are however gorgeous! While rooms are big, there is only a moderate amount of closet space. The bathroom itself is around the size of a walk-in closet. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved in to see that they installed a new white carpet in my apartment. The padding under the carpet is dull, however, and sometimes if your neighbor slams their door/ kitchen cabinet loudly you can feel it. The noise from their kitchen into our bedroom could be trying at times, although it did improve after we had a discussion about it. Overall we have found that the apartment is rather quiet. Management was willing to fix/repair any and all issues noted on move-in. There are many benefits to living in the Rosemont Plaza. In addition to basic cable, electric, water and trash are included in the rent. Parking is also free, ample and safe. The management just repaved the parking lot so it is very even and smooth. The project to repave was fairly painless and was finished in under a week, although the lengthy construction project to repair/update the roof/awning in front of building appears to be stymied after several months with no progress, leaving the entrance with a bit of any eyesore. In the basement are reasonably priced large-load washers and dryers with electronic card payment system. There is a US Mailbox in front of the building and packages are safely kept in the conveniently located front office, which hosts evening and weekend hours. The manager also works late to accommodate resident's works schedules, and this allows issues to be discussed face-to-face. The traffic light in front of the building at Lancaster and Airdale also offers a long light for residents to enter/exit building at any time of the day or evening. Residence includes a limited access to Villanova University's fitness centers for only $25 a year. There is a pool in the back that is open Memorial Day to Labor Day for $125 per resident (with additional family members being $75 per year, and guests around $10 per day). The pool is large and beautiful with a diving pool and deep end. Not all residents buy memberships to the pool or decide to go swimming, so often you have a large pool to enjoy with yourself and the lifeguard. My experience is that lifeguards are not always reliable to show up/stay until the posted times (it is scheduled to be open until 7PM during the week and 6PM on the weekends), although management did refund cost of my pool pass because of this issue last year. Residents are polite and willing to engage in conversation. Undergraduate Villanova students cannot live in the building per an agreement with the University, and there doesn't seem to be an abundance of young professionals who live in the building either. Management is however very community-minded and community-friendly, and the complex is accessible and very welcoming of persons of all abilities. The complex hosts quarterly blood drives and semi-annual arts and crafts shows. The lobby also offers free books/magazines in lobby to take/leave for others. Management is most often willing to accommodate tenant's needs and offers free automatic bill pay. They also do a great job with upkeep of the building/hallways/ grounds, which adds to the experience of living there. On the downside there is a mandatory three-month notification for move-out (which management was unwilling to waive after two uninvited animal guests entered our apartment late last month). Overall my wife and I have had a pleasant time residing here. For the location, generous utilities, and overall hassle-free experience it's hard to go wrong by choosing to live at the Rosemont Plaza!
