Ell was very helpful and have a thorough explanation of the rental process and she did it with a genuine smile that you could feel that she was happy to assist without any hesitation. I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Thank you Josh, Ell and the other extremely kind and helpful maintenance helper that all I can remember is he has been with them for 4 years . I didn't want to get his name wrong. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE…read more The only nice thing I can say about this place is that the lady on the phone taking reservations and collecting the money was personable, and the staff are doing their best with a bad situation. Everything else was subpar. I reserved three units in advance to store all of my belongings, and since it was highly rated on Google, I didn't think to go to visit. When I arrived with full moving trucks and crew of movers being paid by the hour, I was disappointed to find that SecureSpace was entirely unsuitable to store anything of value. First, it was blazing hot inside. There was no climate control, which made me very concerned about potential damage to electronics. More alarmingly, the single elevator took nearly 10 minutes to ascend three floors to my units (more than one group was trying to use it). Even if I had arrived when they first opened at 9AM, it would have been impossible for me to unload everything before their 6PM closing time, (which are pretty limited hours for a storage facility). I had to come up with an alternative quickly (see my review for Mini U Storage on Swann Ave) and cancel my leases with SecureStorage. Since I never occupied the units and the office staff explained I would see a refund in a few business days, I thought my business with them was over. However, three weeks later, I still hadn't received my money back. I had to go back down there in person, where the staff explained that they had other priorities with their facility, and they hadn't gotten around to their admin tasks yet. This is a wild, but understandable explanation given the condition of their facilities and how convoluted their systems are (it took me more than 10 minutes to sign one lease after going through their biometric signature process!!!). To their credit, they did process the refund after that visit. All said, I am grateful that I didn't end up storing anything there. Also, I think I've solved the mystery of the high Google ratings -- they seem to be under new management, but got to keep the ratings from the old owners and previous condition of the building. Hope this gives a more current idea of what you can expect if you ignore my warning and rent there anyway.

1-Star Review: DO…read moreNOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a unit here (L511), and despite clearing it out on time on April 27th, this company continues to charge me for a space that is EMPTY. I even told them to check their own surveillance cameras between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM that day -- you'll clearly see me pulling up, loading my things, and leaving. But instead of doing their due diligence, they've chosen to ignore facts and try to squeeze extra money from me. The worst part? An employee named Maurice blatantly lied about the status of my unit. He falsely claimed items were still there and tried to use a photo of items I had already tossed in the dumpster as "evidence." Completely dishonest and unacceptable. I've contacted them multiple times and explained everything, and still -- nothing. Just more charges for a unit I clearly vacated. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning everyone I know to avoid this location. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that respects their customers and tells the truth.
