DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS! I Wish I could give negative stars. This storage facility put my belongings up for auction for ONE late payment and in less than 24 hours from the date the monthly payment was due (9/29). I when confirmed the payment amount on 9/29 and didn't believe it was correct. I was told one amount by the on-site employee and that the rent was due on the 29th and She never stated it would go into auction status in ONE DAY! She also said someone a person would contact me, I got a robo-call. And Today the wife of Satan contacted me to tell me that my payment was 3 days late and TODAY IS 9/30 ONE DAY AFTER! And they tacked on an additional $130 auction claimed they contacted me when they did not, as I contacted the physical storage location less than 24 hours ago, the on-site person stated She would have the Coporate office contact me and instead I got a robot call... then called today after business hours [5:27PM] I finally get a call, Lied to, price gouged upcharged and from the arrogant Wife of Satan who basically told me they sent me a certified letter, how? When I just called yesterday! They have No record of my call or payment... Again How? When I needed to speak with a REAL HUMAN BEING WHO COULD MAKE REAL ADJUSTMENTS AND DECISION. She was shocked I spoke to an actual person then told my online payment was deactivated so I have to physically go to storage unit and pay without even understanding I do not drive and I'm handicapped. Wow! We never got to this part because She was too busy telling me that the employee on-site DID NOT have to tell me THAT in less than 24 hours, that today my unit would be charged and go into auction status, because This Corporate Demon also wouldn't take my payment over the phone. How convenient even though, they screwed up my billing payment and disabled my accounts online payment feature. I will be reporting them to the BBB and a few other places. 1-Star Review: DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a unit here (L511), and despite clearing it out on time on April 27th, this company continues to charge me for a space that is EMPTY. I even told them to check their own surveillance cameras between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM that day -- you'll clearly see me pulling up, loading my things, and leaving. But instead of doing their due diligence, they've chosen to ignore facts and try to squeeze extra money from me. The worst part? An employee named Maurice blatantly lied about the status of my unit. He falsely claimed items were still there and tried to use a photo of items I had already tossed in the dumpster as "evidence." Completely dishonest and unacceptable. I've contacted them multiple times and explained everything, and still -- nothing. Just more charges for a unit I clearly vacated. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning everyone I know to avoid this location. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that respects their customers and tells the truth. read more

Classic example of bait and switch.. Went in looking for a short term storage solution and came out with a very bad taste in my mouth. My wife and I went in on a so called special. Upon reserving one unit when we came to put stuff into it we found out that the unit had changed from an inside temperature controlled bay, to an outside one..in other words not the one which we were shown. As the outdoor units are cheaper, we were surprised to see that this is where they TRIED to put us. Upon returning to the office we were told that the inside units costed more. We reminded them that we were promised an inside unit. The guy in fact did move us inside...At the time we were thankful..until... The bill came. Not only did the bill NOT reflect the special, but it included the bill for the more expensive unit.. Stay away as the General Manager there lacks the skills necessary to make one feel welcomed to the facility...His phone etiquette is worse... So if you value being lied to and dealt with in a wonton fashion, Westlake Storage is the place for you.. read more

Just recently moved out of this storage after using it for 3 years. Never had any issues other than 1 or 2 increases of abt $10 or $20 mth added onto the initial fee for insurance or something of that nature. Otherwise a nice clean readily accessible storage unit place. I'd definitely use them again. read more

Short and sweet; These guys have great customer service, and great rates comparable to their competitors. The real kicker tho is their free moving truck! $90 deposit gets you a free moving truck for a whole day, all you have to cover is gas. If all rules are followed, you get your 90 back at the end of the day. ALSO, military dicount! Walls, not gates, and have managers living on site! Today is Saturday 18th may 2018. i needed a larger storage place. i survey a few places in Waldorf before i called this place. I don't remember the name of the African American guy who attended me. However, he said he is the manager. He was very fine person, very friendly, . he replied to all my questions on the phone politely and professionally. Followed by phone conversation, i decided to go and look at the place. as soon as i reached the place and told that guy that i spoke to you about the larger storage 20 x 20 ft, he recognized and swiftly took me to the place he rented me on the electric cart. There was only one spot available. i decided to put the place on hold for two days and left the office. On discussing with my partner the rates ,location, openness and friendly attitude of the guy, I turned around and booked the place for my requirement. i will surely recommend this place to everybody. The customer service is absolutely fantastic. I don't have any hesitation in recommending the place to anyone . Inept management. Shady and inconsistent policies that seem to change based on the mood and memory of the OA's. No real deals at all. Fair prices, but the lack of customer service really makes this place a shell of a real storage facility. Also outdoor facility equates to a dirty one. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! There are two ladies that work there that were pleasant to work with. The other two guys (one named Tyler) that I had the misfortune of dealing with are two of the rudest, little smart ass people I have ever had to deal with. They are both very condescending but try to play it off as if they are just doing their jobs. My wife had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with the other guy (who said he was the manager/owner), who was so rude to her on the phone, that it took all I had in me not to confront him on a personal level and deal with him in my own way. I tried calling the office to speak to him about the way he spoke to my wife and I even emailed the company, but they have yet to respond. Military discounts (as we are), and a free moving truck in no way makes up for the way the employees at this business treated us. You are free to spend your money wherever you like, but if you work hard for your money, like we all do. It deserves to be spent at a business that appreciates it and you. read more
