Everything I could dream of served to me on a thin crust in a pan that lets me serve myself each delicious slice. I have been walking past this unassuming door thinking it's just swarming with students, ...until today! My friend and I are trying lots of pizza places around #LMU and today was the day for Tower! Craziest thing ever, she ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered sea bass! When we walked in, the bar was filled with locals from the neighborhood, not the nearby university. These neighbors were connecting over food and drinks sitting at the bar. A few people sat at the booths and tables. We chose a booth. The waiter was super attentive, friendly, memorized our order (correctly!), and did math in his head! The meals came fast and there were options for our sides. The entrees were a good deal for the price. The only thing I will say about her cheeseburger is that the patty was good size! I didn't ask how it was but she ate the whole thing! First of all the food was DELICIOUS! The pizzas passed the 1st test of having the cheesy pull! If a slice doesn't have the cheesy pull when you pick it up that's an automatic fail. The BBQ sauce was on point and the crust was crispy around the edges. The wings were piping hot, crispy, and seasoned just right. The atmosphere had the "cheers " vibe where it felt like everyone knows your name. Definitely had regular in attendance. The customer service was attentive and friendly. Place has been around for 40 years, that should tell you something. Have driven by this place 100 times and was in the mood for pizza so we decided to give it a try. Has a sports bar kinda feel. Plenty of tv's around, and very cozy inside. We ordered a couple pizzas, fries, wings, and salad. Everything was really good. In town and looking for a pizza place not as bougie as the ones in Marina Delray. Decided on Tower due to the good reviews here. First impression seemed to be a dive but I've been in plenty so no problem there. First impression walking in the door was the smell. In most instances would have turned me back around but it had been a long day. Says it has 80's decor, and yeah it does, not intentionally it just hasn't been changed since the 80's. The carpet was from the 80's and could be the source of the smell. We just got pizza, thin soggy crust and a grease slick. Edible but not good enough to outweigh the negatives of the surroundings. Price was great - cheapest eats we had in LA- and service good, only thing keeping it from a 1. Deep clean this restaurant -every nook and cranny - and replace the carpet with some vinyl plank. Until they do that I suggest out of towners avoid and leave this place to the locals that have been going for 50 years. read more

But didn't seem too pleasant at the "other" tables. Don't go if you are on the darker side . You've been warned. I sat down and was looked over for about 8-9 minutes and the place is really small. We recently moved into the area and wanted to find a pizza place near us. There were a few options around us, but we settled on Tower Pizza. Upon arrival, the service between the bar/kitchen felt unorganized. Upon receiving and opening the pizza, I got the strongest whiff of what smelled like "dirty water". I shrugged it off assuming it was just the smell of the toppings. Unfortunately, the pizza tasted just as bad as it smelled. I've never spat out food so fast. On top of that, the $13 salad was half empty. It was our first and last time going to this restaurant. I can't believe it's been five years since I have been here. I would stop by here quite a bit when I drive people to LAX and catch the LA Kings games instead of sitting in really bad traffic on the way back home. I always get great service here. The atmosphere is great for watching all the sports and other customers all friendly too! The guy working the bar and the lady food runner very funny and personable people! So two nights ago I watched the Kings beat the Montréal Canadiens again same score 4-0. Along with the Kings victory, I first ate the house salad, which includes tomatoes, olives, mozzarella cheese, and I had Bleu cheese dressing. I also had the all beef chili dog and fries. Everything was super yummy!!! I had Dr Pepper to wash it all down! I had great food, wonderful service, and really enjoyed my time here. Please check this place out if you are in the area near LAX!!! This place is just about a mile away from me. And almost every time when I want to order pizza delivery, it would be this place. Unfortunately I have never been inside ever. But I know that it is a sports bar and I am sure it has a good ambience for entertainment. I only just want to highlight the pizza, which is good and I recommend it if you live nearby and whether you want to enjoy in or have it takeout. I've gotten a few different types, but have mainly stuck with pizza section. I definitely recommend the super tower, because you get to choose your own toppings for it. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with the margarita. The Hawaiian is amazing as well for all the peeps that love on your pizza... haha. And lastly, the bbq is also decent. I'm not sure if they have a back parking lot. I hope they do because the curbside is nearly impossible to find since there are just so many shops along with limited spaces. Plus, that part of the street gets really crowded during rush hour. If no back of building parking, I would advice park in the neighborhood across the street or the Starbucks plaza. Their Margherita pizza is made with white sauce and tomatoes, unconventional for my taste buds. They kindly replaced it with a red suace, minus the tomatos. First-time visitor at Tower, and I'm impressed with this restaurant. The new pizza turned out delicious. It's a family owned establishment. The young lady who kindly waited on me and the gentleman behind the bar is her father(owner). Tower Pizza has three or four televisions behind the bar. It's a small place, but with the right amount of tables and seats that accommodate a lot of customers. There's also outdoor seating alongside their parking in the back of the building. A friend and I stumbled into tower pizza after a bit of a let down at a nearby restaurant and it could have been a stumble into a Time Machine. This place feels calcified in 80's/90's sports bar culture and I LOVED it. Random games in a corner, lots of campy framed sports posters, super funny employees and damn good pizza. From the second we saw a screen door at the entrance we knew we were in the right place. We ordered the 4 topping large pizza and some chili fries which both were amazing. They have a pretty decent beer selection and was the kind of place where bartenders were hugging and high fiving patrons.
