I haven't left a review about this place in 3 years, so it's time to reiterate how great the wine is, one of the many reasons it's my favorite winery around. My husband & I were here on a Sunday to just chill. Kimberly is her at her usual, busy but attentive, finding time to great everyone & answer all your questions. Kaylie(I believe) was also working just as hard, all smiles, sweet young lady. We got some snacks from the Cafe, but the wine...so delicious. I drank the Hygge, dry white, tried their new sparkling off dry rosé, left there as a wine club member and a half case. Need I say more? The wine was yummy and the server was lovely and all was wonderful until... On our way out, we ran into the owner, who was insistent that we return for their Halloween event. She asked if the server had told us about it, and when we said no, she turned around and loudly quipped, publicly, at the server for failing to tell us about the shindig. That definitely turned me off - tell your staff after the customer goes, please. To make matters worse, she was bragging about how much the neighbors to the winery hate their Halloween party because of the loud revelry. I don't think that's something to be proud of. read more

Was excited the winery was open for Fourth of July and for a visit. As stated on their Facebook page: "And BONUS THE FORTH OF JULY we are open 10-2pm join us for cornhole, chilled wine, cold beer, fresh baked flatbreads, salads, snacks, honestly what ever your heart desires, we just want to have a good time. Cheers to you!" Sounded great!!! Arrived- no food at all, no cornhole to be seen but could have been out of site. Had a flight- but they were out of one of the wines I requested. Wine was just okay and pretty disappointed that nothing like they advertised was on site. Enjoyed a quiet outdoor spot with our group but was not what we were expecting. What a great boutique winery! The proprietor was such a delight, the staff were so well informed that any time they described a wine they hit it right on the head (and we tried a lot!) this location is also a Harvest Host, so if your a member of the harvest host community you can stay here with your RV at no cost. Another bonus is that there is a cafe next to the tasting room! We ordered a wine and cheese platter which when ready the cafe brought right to our seat in the tasting room (the cafe and winery are owned separately) Overall this place was amazing and we will be back soon! read more

What an amazing wine tasting and lunch experience my family and I had here. We were a group of 6 with an infant in a stroller and we had a private room with our own servers and bathroom, and space. We also had lunch from the cafe in here too. Let's talk about the space first- it was beautifully decorated and plenty of space for my family. The wine tasting my family did was great, and for someone like me who doesn't drink, there were options of non alcoholic drinks I can enjoy. Then, the food- AMAZING. Get the cheese platter and literally everything on the menu was fabulous. Also, Michael our server was awesome and really helped us pick food options. We enjoyed the burger, Sunday pasta and pork special too. This whole experience with great service from the winery and cafe, the private room and delicious food was such a memorable experience. Tousey has all the things I need in a winery: 1. Wine. It's a nice bonus that it's also good wine. Perhaps the best I've had in the Hudson Valley. Although it's not a historically dominant region, Tousey literally wins awards, and they are well-deserved. Don't be afraid to rock the blends (The Queen of Clermont!), and try and get there early in the season because they will sell out of the most popular wines (Chardonnay, rosé, etc.). They lean Riesling, which isn't usually my favorite grape, but I wasn't mad about it here. 2. Comfortable chairs with a big, lit up WINERY sign to sit under for a nice photo up with your friend's Frenchie. 3. Lovely service. The ladies behind the counter couldn't be sweeter, and they are unsurprisingly knowledgable and proud of their product. I think that's all I need. As a nice bonus, they also have: 4. Really affordable raw honey, as well as all kinds of adorable gifts (gigantic flasks, wine accessories, maple syrup). 5. Good food from Heirloom Cafe next door. read more

What a wonderful spot! My partner and I stayed the night in our camper through harvest hosts and we had the pleasure of stopping in for some dinner and wine. Not only was the wine selection wonderful, the service incredibly kind and accommodating (shout out to Kaylee for being so helpful even though we got in close to closing), but it was by far the best meal we have had in a long while! A very nice getaway from NYC. This winery features a Blanc De Blance called The Logic that was great. The staff here were super nice and welcoming. The winery shares the location with the Claremont Cafe. The food was absolutely amazing. Combined this makes for a must stop spot if you are in the area. read more

Absolutely great experience. I picked this place for our lunch stop on our way to the Getaway cabin. My bf and I ordered a bottle of the Blane De Blanes and it was great. The food from the Clemont Cafe was just amazing. The ribeye and the burger tasted phenomenal. It took a bit long for the food but it was definitely worth it. We later learned that the chef worked for fine dining restaurants for several years. I highly recommend everyone trying this place. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars because they are a small business and because we loved our server, Kevin. They gave us a private room with a private bathroom for our tasting and they were generally very nice. Kevin was awesome. He knew a lot about wine and didn't make us feel bad when we asked a thousand and ten questions about wine. The wine was good, they atmosphere was amazing and all in all it was a good way to spend new years Eve and felt safe, covid-wise. However, BUYER BEWARE: they charged $7 for water. They claimed their tap water isn't good enough to serve, so they have to give you bottled. I usually have no problem with bottled because most places will charge at most $3ish dollars and they normally let you know. This place did not make us aware that we were apparently drinking holy water for $7 a pop. When we got our bill and questioned it, a different server (manager maybe?) tried to make us feel bad and offered to take the money out of her tips that she had made that night. We sucked it up and paid it but all in all it felt very predatory. read more

Planned a birthday party at the winery in the middle of winter and what a wonderful time. We parked across the street in overflow parking which is a promising sign. If the winery is busy they must be pouring delicious grapes! We did not have a reservation and were sat by a server immediately at the bar. The main tasting room presented an average size bar with comfortable stools. The secondary room was beautifully designed with a large wood slab table, trendy lighting and a smaller sitting area including a couch. We ordered a bottle of Killer Red and relaxed at the bar. The winery was to capacity but it was not loud at all, good acoustics. The male server presented the menu in very rapid pace and did not make any recommendations or ask what preference we shared in wine. In his defense it was a very busy day and we ordered decisively. But I admire a winery that takes time to explain the grapes, yield, tasting notes and exude the passion held for wine! This review is based upon my 3rd visit. We opted to tey their wine tasting. Unfortunately the service was very very slow. Not like busy. Just slow. There weren't any clean glasses, the woman didn't offer all of us a board to write our options on. And almost all of their ref wines were sold out. I will say their Queen Of Clermeont is fantastic. Its fruity but not overly sweet and not dry which I love. They also now offer food from the next door cafe. the charcuterie was excellent and the chef even came out to tell us about the cheeses and where we could find them. Overall the experience wasn't bad once the wines started flowing. I would consider going back. read more

Kimberly was so attentive and helpful in answering my questions -- even when I could tell she is a busy woman! We rented their room for $25/pp for an hour which includes a dedicated server and wine tasting. I enjoyed all their wines but especially the sparkling rosé and stainless steel Chardonnay. The private room even has its own bathroom and couch seating area. It was a big relief to know our two toddlers could wander about safely especially with COVID still being a consideration as well as chilly temps. They even had two high chairs! Kevin was so attentive during our stay and was knowledgeable about the wines as well. This was our second visit to the winery--the first was purely by accident as we discovered it on our way home from visiting a friend upstate. One of the very few places I felt comfortable with our baby during the earlier pandemic days (July 2020). I cannot recommend this place enough; I feel they truly care about their patrons and also have QUITE delicious wine to offer. The immediate area is truly gorgeous too. Came to the area for the weekend and had to check out a local winery. This is a small little winery right off the main road. The weird part is they dont grow the wine around where they serve it. The tasting happens 5-6 miles from where they grow it. The tasting is in a small ranch with a small bar and a back room for biggee groups. They have some food as well and so we started with the meat and cheese boards. They were solid. Keep in mind this isnt the most extravagant place but we really enjoyed it. The wines werent anything special but i also didnt expect much from this area. It was a fun time and that is all that matters. It is not a destination winery but if you are in the area stop in and check it out. read more

This small winery is not vineyard adjacent. It's north of Red Hook and just south of Germantown. The vineyards are somewhere to the west. There are about 10-12 high stools at the tasting bar, and some small tables. The tasting ran $6 for 6 small pours, glass not included. Between the two of us, we were able to sample most of the offerings. It will come as no surprise that the whites predominated and were better. We particularly enjoyed the Riesling, the Queen of Clermont, and the Hygge (coziness is Danish). I liked the cabernet franc better than the pinot, which was a bit thin to me. We took six bottles, five white, one rouge - 5% discount. One nice feature was a tasting room that didn't look like a gift shop -- if you're looking for wine related tchotchkes, look elsewhere. read more

We've been enjoying their wines forever and finally made the trip up for a visit. There was some discrepancy in their tasting room hours. Luckily, we arrived right before a special event they were having - fish taco night! Kimberly, one of the owners, was sweet enough to let us in a little bit early as long as we didn't mind her setting up for the event. Worked perfectly for us because then we could order some wine. We each had a glass of rose which we figured would go well with the fish tacos, which of course we were going to stay for. Duh. After she set up we did a tasting which was a very reasonable $5 for five wines and we got to pick which ones we wanted to try. All of the wine and the fish tacos were delicious. They also make a wonderful Cassis, which is just a bit pricey at $34. It's a family run biz and they are all so nice and friendly. It's totally worth it to stop here for a tasting and if you're lucky enough to be in the area in the summer on Thursdays definitely stop by for fish taco night! read more

By sheer coincidence, I came upon a Tousey Winery stand at the Tarrytown farmers' market a few weeks ago and bought a bottle of their Riesling, a really well balanced wine with just a hint of sweetness. I had already planned a weekend in Hudson and asked about the winery, which, it turns out, is nearby. A visit today for a tasting was a wonderful experience ! I had the Hygge (a Sauvignon blanc) and the Riesling. The café offers a limited but delicious selection of dishes. Both the burger with onion jam and the Caprese Salad with buffalo mozzarella and local tomatoes were excellent! And the service was perfect :-) read more

I expected a bit more. We did a 5 wines flight and I only liked 2 of the wines-the Queen and the sparkling one. Usually, I am good with pretty much any white wine. The charcuterie board which cost $24 had measly 3 pieces of cheese, a small slab of pate, a few pieces of dry sausage and 3 small rectangles of bread. In terms of the experience, there is also not much-just a few tables inside and outside, no room to really spread out which is what we like to do when we go to a winery-bring a blanker, spend a day drinking, eating, kids playing nearby. This is good for a quick stop, though. The service was nice. read more

We visited Tousey Winery as part of a tour of some of the wineries along the Hudson-Berkshire Beverage trail. The winery itself was very beautifully decorated and had a lot of charm, especially the beautiful large tasting bar. The two wines we purchased were fairly good, no complaints there! The major cons for us here were (1) customer service was not very friendly, especially in comparison to the other wineries we had visited earlier in the day and (2) a normal tasting is $5 person, however if you are a group of 6+ (we were 7), the same tasting costs $15/person. That was a bit of a bummer so we opted to skip the tasting. It seemed especially strange to have the difference in prices when our group was the only patrons in the winery. Regardless, it's definitely one of the cuter wineries and would probably be fun in good weather to sit on their front porch and take in the barrels and view. read more

Good wines, terrible service. Giving them two stars instead of one as wines are decent. The same review was posted on Google: We visited winery with a group of friends, without reservation. There were 8 of us who wanted to do the tasting, so we were situated outside. The owner came out and said that we can taste 5 wines for the $5. so far so good. We started tasting wines, which were mostly good (especially the Chardonnay). When we were done, we went to pay for the tasting inside, and all of a sudden instead of $5, we were requested to pay $15 per person, because we were a group. When asked the owner why is that, she said that she was super-nice to us and even poured more than 5 wines - yes, there was one person who asked to taste 3 more wines - this is why instead of $5 pp we all now had to pay $15 pp. The lady was rude and adamant about it, and even run after one of the people in the group as she thought he didn't pay (everything was paid in full). The winery management have to take hospitality 101 courses or hire a decent tasting room manager. They definitely lost our business and while we like their wines, they don't worth putting up with such a hostile attitude. Avoid.
