Stopped by here to grab a ready made cake for my mother in laws birthday!! The selection was diverse and couldn't help but grab a few other sweet and savory snacks. Especially fond of anything with milk bread as it's so fluffy. The cake we got was the basic/ classic one with strawberries. It was delicious! Not overly sweet, the whipped cream was light and fresh and of course the strawberries looked perfect. A pleasant surprise is how they box it up- looks luxurious and comes with a little disposable spatula accompanied with a couple matches and thin candles!!! Unexpected but perfect since of course we were not prepared with candles that my toddler insisted to blow out. Will return to try some of those amazing looking drinks and to try more baked goods! read more

This is a beautiful café, but definitely a bit smaller than the location in southern Connecticut. Since I got there pretty late in the day I expected a lot to be gone, but I was still able to find some good gems. I got the milk cream bread, kimchi croquette, mango cloud cake slice, and a tiramisu latte. Service is pretty flat usually since it's mostly self-service. My drink did come out very quick and tasted perfect. It's nice to have a TLJ up this way so I'll definitely be back soon. read more

King) "Every Day" is the rough English translation of Tous Les Jours, and it fits pretty well because everything in this French-Asian bakery is freshly baked, every day. We found it along the Farmington/New Britain "Miracle Mile," that nonstop stretch of chain stores, restaurants, and mini malls running from the Westfarms Mall all the way down to Costco and Target. Parking was a bit funky because there is no lot entrance directly in front of the shop, you have to look a teense Northward to find the entrance. And when you do walk inside, be prepared to be dazzled by what you see---counters and cases filled with a gorgeous display of breads, rolls, cakes, Danish, pastry, and croissants. A Grab and Go refrigerated case has sandwiches including a tempting one - Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissant Sandwich! As for drinks, good luck choosing among their coffees, lattes, Cappuccino, Macchiato, teas, frappes, and smoothies. We had a nice breakfast that was reasonably priced - a sweet cheese blueberry pastry ($3.95), a sweet cheese frank roll ($4.25), and two small hot brewed coffees ($2.75 each). Everything totaled $14.70 after tax and that was a pretty good value. My sweet cheese roll was excellent - a thin mild hot dog sausage link embedded inside a slightly glazed sweet roll. It was a decent sized portion and was very fairly priced . The coffee was the clear winner on my tray-it was fantastic, full of flavor and just plain great. These European/Asian bakeries continue to pop up like mushrooms around Connecticut. Tous Les Jours is a pretty good one. read more

Can you believe I went to tous les jours on a full stomach? All I tried was their coffee which was a bit strong and not 100% my taste - next time I will try one of their flavored drinks. The pastries looked amazing. The seating area was limited, though comfortable and clean. I would go back for cake or a pastry. Service was decent. The line to order was a bit unclear as you walk up & clash with the line of people winding around and choosing their pastries. Came in on a busy Saturday to pick up a cake. We grabbed the strawberry cloud cake and the manager was awesome. He told me I didn't have to wait in line if I'm just grabbing a cake. 10/10 thank you so much! The cake is delicious and I'm glad it finally came closer to us versus in New Haven, New York, or Mass. It is convenient that it's only 20 minutes away to pick up. I haven't tried to pastry's, only the cake. read more

Decided to wait a couple of weeks after the grand opening. I knew the parking lot is small and didn't feel like fighting for parking. I went on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't too busy. Inside was clean and organized. There is a few seating for you to sit in and have quick meal. There were quite a few selections to pick from and it was mostly self serve. There were savory treats and sweet treats. Of course I have to try their franks savory treats and it did not disappointed. The bake goods are a bit pricy as items range from 3 to 5 dollars a piece. But we all deserve a sweet treat right? Well in my case a savory one! I ordered a lavender latte and it was delicious. I got about 8 items total and it ran about 40 bucks. I am sure once the hype dies down it be a bakery everyone can just pop, get a treat and go on with their day. One note is: although they packed it nicely in boxes. I wish they kept the savory warm treats away from the sweet treats. The chocolate on the croissant melted due to a warm frank treat. Overall nice bakery and glad it's close by me. read more

Not great. The place is beautiful inside and the staff is nice but the pastries were lack luster IMO. I chose a chocolate filled donut and an almond croissant. The cost was $9.07 and it was not worth it. No taste in the croissant, very little filling and no almond flavor. The donut was just ok. Knock, knock on Tous les Jours door though in fact I arrived around 7:15AM and the doors were open. As previously promised, I quickly placed a blueberry cream Danish on my tray along with its apple neighbor. I then did a quick tour of the pastry case and discovered several mango cream croissants. OMG they could not be denied. I hastily returned the Danishes, once again apologizing to them, and placed 2 of the mango croissants on my tray and hurried off to the cashier. These were very good, but ranked slightly below, at least in my humble opinion, the almond and strawberry cream croissants previously enjoyed. 4.25 stars read more

I got the Strawberry & Lychee cake for a birthday celebration. Personally, I don't think it's the best cake I've had. I was disappointed the cake didn't have more strawberry or lychee flavor. It was pretty much whipped cream, vanilla cake and the middle icing layer was chopped up strawberries and lychee. That was the flavor I was hoping to find throughout the entire cake. For $45, it's decorated beautifully but lacked in flavor. This is a good cake for people that do not like sweet desserts. It lacked flavor for me and I probably wouldn't buy another cake here. I'm open to trying other things next time. read more

We always love going to Tous Les Jours! This year, my husband requested his birthday cake from the New Britain location, and they did an excellent job. I was really impressed at the convenient packaging they provided (with handles!) that made it super easy for transport, and they also provided candles and a server. I had requested if they could squeeze in writing his name on the base, and I was glad to see they were able to accommodate. We picked out some additional treats for the party while we were there, all of which were great. We would definitely use them again for a birthday party! read more

After what seems like a year, Tous les Jours has finally opened in New Britain. I personally feel like this location is far from ideal. Located across the street from the busiest mall in New England, this intersection is always super congested. Once you've made it to Tous les Jours, good luck finding parking. This very limited parking lot is shared with other trendy businesses. This afternoon my two coworkers and I used our lunch break to drive to the French Korean bakery. Since it was the middle of the work week it wasn't terribly busy. On the left you'll find a huge assortment of pastries, on the right they have some stylish seating. The pastries are all self serve. Most of them are sweet and a few are savory. We got a ton of tasty treats to share with everyone at the office. I got a garlic and cheese croissant. I also got a Pistachio Cloud Latte. By the register they have additional cakes, cake slices and macaroons. The girl at the register was pleasant enough but she didn't offer to heat my croissant. Once I arrived at the office I had no time to heat it. It was still very flavorful, and the croissant was soft. This was just like garlic bread in a croissant. My Pistachio Cloud Latte was the winner. It was super flavorful, perfectly layered, sweetened just enough and ultimately delicious. Everyone at the office truly enjoyed their treats. This bakery offers more variety of baked goods at a more reasonable price than the similar themed bakery that's located farther down the road in a much larger and fancier shopping center. The sliced bread here--if you can get your hands on them--is definitely better. They're soft and fluffy and great for making Japanese-style egg sandwiches. I especially like their many types of donuts and macarons. I'll definitely be back to try out all the flavors. Their coffee is so-so. The barista can be a bit slow making the espresso drinks, but otherwise, the service is generally competent and efficient. read more

Definitely make time to stop here! Staff were friendly and helpful. Items are self serve with trays and tongs, inside of a case. The ambiance is decorated well, and adds to the experience. The store is at the corner of a plaza. It is quite a challenge to find a parking space for this store. I suggest to park not infront or close to the store. I knew this place as i've bought baked goods here before back when i was living in new york. I liked the pastry with the hotdog on it. I also liked the curry puffs. Since it just opened in this location a couple of weeks ago, people are just discovering this place. Expect a line and wait time. Although, there are two check out counters. The guy who checked us out was nice, friendly, and acoommodating. The place has cute chairs to sit on and chill. Be early if you want to be seated. I enjoyed the baked good and the pastries. Decided to try Tous les Jours new location. My rating is 3 stars but it will not deter me from giving them a second try. The aesthetic was pleasing, the pastries and cakes looked delicious. Pricing was a bit on the high side for certain items but not enough to break the bank. Service was good, our tiramisu latte order was slow but they are new. The latte was delicious but I'm almost certain they forgot the foam on top as it just tasted like a plain latte. Macaroons were yummy and my husband loved the chocolate tart. The cheese mochi were good at first but hard to finish . Unfortunately, my husband and myself got stomach cramps within 10 minutes of eating our treats. We suspect it may have been the cheese mochi but not sure since we shared and tasted everything together. read more

Very excited to have a nice bakery in the area! Opening day looked very successful! I believe they sold out of pastries at some point, but I was there too try a couple of them and I was very pleasantly surprised! This was our second time here it was a Sunday afternoon when we visited. The cases were fully stocked with fresh baked goods. Everything that we got was super fresh and delicious. This is a chain that's always a sure thing. Love the croissant with the whipped cream and strawberries in it, the mango cake, and their mochas. I started going to the one in Philly a few years ago, and this one is consistent with the quality there too! The people who worked there are very friendly, and when it's not extremely busy it can be a nice place to catch up with a friend and grab some goodies. read more

Every time I've gone in the pastries are delicious. The staff are super friendly and do a good job of getting stuff out as quickly as they can with all the people ordering! The environment is welcoming and eating area is clean. I have seen difficult customers who don't understand/or are impatient and the staff still remain polite. My favorite go to spot. read more
