    Yay there close by

Excellent, consistent so decadent. Love this place savory and sweet. Decent line up of deliciousness pastries

While this is the smallest of the Tous Les Jours locations in the area, this still serves up all of your favorite bread, pastries, cakes, and drinks at a reasonable price. The pastries are fresh here, with the same quality ingredients and great textures that you'll get at any other TLJ location in the suburbs. Service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is still fairly good, even if there's not as much space to casually hangout as some other locations. It's also great to have a TLJ location in this area of the suburbs since there's not much competition unless you drive at least 15-20 minutes away.

The space is beautiful and cozy, the desserts are delicious, great service and the prices are very reasonable. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Everything was fresh and beautifully made. I'll definitely be back!

Our guests always rave about everything I serve, and I receive compliments every time. Beyond the delicious baked goods, the customer service is impeccable. At the Buffalo Grove store, one employee truly stands out...Keigo. Every time I walk through the door, he greets me with a smile, comes right over to help, and couldn't be more professional, friendly, and attentive. Keigo is an absolute pleasure to work with and makes every visit even more enjoyable. Outstanding employees like him are a big part of what keeps me coming back. I just wanted you to know how much he is appreciated!

I have been going to Deerfields Bakery for decades; I just realized that it is not "Deerfield" or…read more"Deerfield's", but "Deerfields". Before we fell in love with the mousse cakes of another bakery that's just minutes from home, we used to order most of our birthday cakes from Deerfields, and picked up at the location in Deerfield. In addition to cakes, they specialize in a full line of baked goods, including pastries, cookies, cupcakes, pies, danishes, donuts, muffins, bagels, and more. Recently, I needed to order a small 4" cake for the first time ever, since all of us didn't want a large cake, even a 6" cake would be too much, because I am usually the one to finish all the cake leftovers. Also, there were only about 3 days for the bakery to make the cake, our other bakery needs 7 days, and probably would not make a 4" cake. I knew that Deerfields could do it in 48 hours. I was pleased that I could order on their website, although their choices for 4" cakes were very limited. I picked a velvet cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting ($30.95). However, it has 4 layers and serves 6-8, we would still have leftovers. This time, I chose to pick up at the Deerfields in Buffalo Grove, where I had visited a couple of times, and I like this location much better than the one in Deerfield. It is like a storybook bakery to me! The bakery is picture perfect inside and out, visually appealing with lots of vibrant colors and beautiful displays. When I visited, the spacious bakery was festively decorated, which was quite charming. There's also a café inside, with some tables on the first floor, and the entire cozy second floor dedicated to café dining. The café serves breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Sunday. Like many other bakeries, Deerfields is closed on Mondays. On this weekday when I came around noon, the bakery was bustling. I would give this experience 5 stars for both the cake we ordered and the excellent service we received, especially from Greg, who greeted me as soon as I walked in. The customer service team had emailed me suggestions for decorating the small cake, and I replied with my specific requirements. However, it seemed that my reply had not been read. I needed the center of the top filled with more roses so the design would not look like a wreath. In the future, I will follow up with a phone call to confirm the details. One staff member from the bake room (Brianca?) came out and explained that it could be done, but I would need to wait an hour because all the bakers had just gone on break. I agreed and said I would return to pick it up. Just as I was about to leave, Greg came out from the bake room with the good news that a baker was available to do it right away. In the end, I only spent about 10 to 15 minutes waiting, which I used to take photos around the shop. The cake turned out beautiful and delicious, moist and velvety. I myself didn't care that much for the thick buttercream frosting, but the cream cheese filling was quite good. Since we had the cake after a big dinner, we all opted for small pieces. However, all of us didn't mind eating leftover cakes the next day. When we crave for a more traditional cake in the future, we will definitely return to Deerfields again!

It's a family-owned, grab and go kind of bakery with all the classics. Churros, elote, conchas, and plenty of other panadería favorites. But if there's ONE thing I keep coming back for... It's their tres leches. You can call ahead and order a full sheet cake, or grab an individual slice like the one pictured here. And let me tell you--the cake is SOAKED in milk, exactly how I like my tres leches! Some places are way too stingy with the milk, but Lupita's Bakery does not hold back. The cake is incredibly moist without becoming soggy. The icing is also super light and airy, almost like whipped cream, which I LOVE. And somehow, with all that sweetness, it's not overly sweet at all. Everything just works perfectly together.

There's a nice refrigerated area with tres leches cake slices, flan, and pop. It's a true panaderia with la concha of different choices (a few times they were really dry and crumbly), cookies (tasted stale the past 3 times), and the churros (ALWAYS the win here)!!! The churros are delicious when they're freshly made - regular cinnamon sugar, filled with chocolate or vanilla. THIS is why I come here! Some of the pastries are hit or miss, maybe depends on when I'm stopping in? The churros however are always good and keeps me coming back. Plus I can't walk into a Mexican bakery and not leave with a la concha or other goodies.

The pastry cabinets are filled with all types of yummy goodness. But wait, what if I want breakfast and I am gluten free. According to the menu, they have a gluten free toast. That being said, I highly suspect contamination is a challenge in here. I sat down and was promptly met with what I believe was the owner. She helped clarify some questions I had like is the Swiss cheese on the Paris Special, American Swiss or Emmental since Swiss cheese is only an American thing. It is American Swiss for those asking. When in Rome I guess. The Paris Special is diced ham, eggs, and Swiss cheese on a croissant. I also ordered the diced potatoes with onion. The sandwich was good. Eggs were cooked perfectly, ham was diced out of a bag by the texture of it... it was fine. The croissant was very buttery, but I felt it was so buttery, it lost some exterior texture a fresh croissant may have. The potatoes were very tasty, but were dripping in oil on the plate. One thing that seemed to surprise me was me was the unsweetened iced tea. I felt it had black currant in it. That was lovely! Overall, this place is good. The price was not so great. But it is definitely cheaper than a trip to Paris.
