i was able to get in within 24 hours of making my appt, but needed to change to same day...the staff was able to get me in with little to no wait. My tech was friendly and by inquiring about the reason for my visit was able to capture X-Rays that will help with my treatment. read more

The care I received during my visit was exceptional! The office staff was friendly and professional and seemed to care about my comfort. The lady at the front desk who checked me in was very nice when I couldn't find my insurance card and used the information from the doctor's office or my previous visit. I unfortunately chose Touchstone to get some tests done over several years. The first few tests went by uneventfully but they lied to me before I made a recent appointment and on the date of the testing. As they had in the past, they stated they would waive the copay on two tests. After the tests were completed, I started receiving bills from them. I have been calling, going to their office, sending emails, etc to explain my situation. They actually blamed my insurance for the fact that they lied to me! Please DO NOT use Touchstone if you want professional and accurate experience. Also, stay even further away from a "manager" named Summer at their Denton location on Mayhill. She made a bad situation worse. She was condescending, rude and everything you wouldn't want in an employee. read more

Excellent visit. Easy to schedule. Short wait. Well designed storage area for personal items. Staff were all efficient and friendly. I had an mri and it seemed to pass quickly. I was provided all the necessary comforts and was very relaxed during the scan. While I did have headphones on they did very little to cover or even minimize the horrid MRI noises. I wish the MRI companies would find a way to make these rhythmic, patterned and quiet! I received my CD upon leaving and even received my report quickly-4 days later. Was notified by text with a link to the report. The report was easy to read and understand and also included plenty of definitions linked to each term and shown as on screen pop ups. I would 100% recommend touchstone for imaging needs. read more

I was lied to repeatedly before I had imaging done at Touchstone. I had tests there in the past and never had a problem. Over the past year, I had two more tests and was told there would be no copay numerous times. I went ahead and had the tests performed and then started getting bills in the mail. Since then it's been a nightmare. A manager at the Denton, TX office named Summer was the worst offender. She actually tried blaming my insurance company for why they lied to me. Unbelievable. Run, don't walk, away from Touchstone especially for as long as Summer is working there. read more

Process was quick and courteous. Biggest issue is trying to pay with care credit. After going through the efforts of securing a replacement card because it wouldn't recognize the old one I tried again only to be told they don't take the card over the phone. Only in perso so have to drive another 50+ miles to pay. Absolutely will not answer the local number. read more

Horrible. Predatory billing because they can't bill your insurance correctly. Offshore billing agents are clueless. They demand to set up payments on a bill NEVER FILED WITH MY INSURANCE. I paid a deposit, covering my out of pocket per my plan. These twits want 5k MORE because they filed with tge wrong number, told them not only did I have Medicare, not true, but an additinal secondary, also not true. Then, laughably, they tell me to contact my insurance company. And discuss what? They don't have any EOBs. Not a single one. But I am to tell my insurance to pay them. I call Touchstone directly? Asking to talk to an office manager. They send me right back to the same offshore dips. Do not use this radiology boondoggle for any service unless you plan on trying to correct your bill once, twice, thrice with representatives who barely speak English and are impossible to understand. read more

I don't understand all of the negative reviews. Due to all other Touchstone facilities having a two-week wait, I jumped at the opportunity to have a late evening appointment in Denton. It took me approximately 1 hour to get there from Little Elm, and I was hurting, but the receptionist was so personable and so kind. I was just handing her the paperwork when I was taken back for my x-ray and MRI. The x-ray technician explained everything calmly and efficiently. I was immediately taken back for the MRI, where once again the technician was so calming. I knew that the noise of the MRI would overrun the headphones at times, but I told her it really was a Zen 15 minutes. I also mentioned in another review that it is sometimes a little things that make a difference. Both the X-ray table and the MRI table were covered with a sheet. I know that it is extra laundry for them, but it made a difference in my comfort level when I was already in pain. Thank you for your attention to details, thank you for your caring attitude from the front desk to the procedure rooms. I appreciate you. I don't understand the previous reviews, and I will update if there is a change, but billing was transparent, procedures were seamless, and I don't know how the staff at this facility could have been more compassionate and caring than they were. read more

We went for a CT scan and were charged a 1000 USD up front for the service even when Insurance told me this was 100% covered. They charged my card several times while claiming it didn't go through. I ended up paying approx. 550 USD in multiple charges and the rest was supposed to be on a payment plan. My insurance covered 100% as promised. I ended up visiting the office 4 times just to get my payments receipts. Once I got them, I requested a refund at their off shore billing department. It has been over 3 months, 4 visits to get my receipts printed, 5 calls to their billing department and am still waiting for a resolution of my refund request. They just tell me to wait 10 business days each time I call. They don't reply to my emails or return my calls and my "ticket" has no notes, no resolution. At first, their managers are always on a "meeting" which in offshore call centers is code for "You are not getting a manager". Once you insist, a manager picks up the call. You will not get their email addresses or phone numbers to call back, just an apology and a promise for a callback within 48 hrs. that never happens. Did you remember I mentioned "off shore billing department"? Well, that means there is no physical office where you can go to actually complain. The only positive thing I have to say is that the people at the Denton office were kind and gentle to my wife while doing the procedure. Everything related to their billing and their billing dept has been frustrating and disappointing. read more

Don't bother. Didn't call us until an hour before the appointment to say we needed to bring in imaging from prior appointment. Planned this appointment for months. Lot's of faxing of doctor's orders and insurance coverage etc..., Just ended up going to a regular hospital. Too much work to make this happen. read more

If you make an appointment, your wait time isn't long. Once I was called, the person who did my testing was professional and very nice.

Their site says they don't close until 9pm, yet they didn't answer their phones when I started calling from around 8pm (Wed), making at least a dozen calls regarding an appointment, and their voice mail is always full. read more

Read the reviews for the various Touchstone offices and trust the preponderance of the evidence. Now that I did, I deduct a pattern in their billing procedures. This was my 3rd CT scan I've had done in the last 3 years, it was the first time I've gone to Touchstone Imaging. I was one referred to them by a specialist I was seeing. I should have checked the reviews first...my bad. When they called to set my appointment, I asked what my financial responsibility would be. I was told with the insurance I have I wouldn't owe anything. I said that was odd, the first two I had had done elsewhere were each a co-payment of $100. I checked with my wife that night to see if our insurance coverage had changed, she said no. The day before my CT scan, I was called about pre-procedure preparation. I once again asked what my financial responsibility was (as is my wife and my habit before any procedure). After the employee reviewed my insurance on file I was told I would only have a $100 co-payment due upfront, to which I replied that was what I expected, but said I was originally told I'd owe nothing. The next day I checked in and paid my $100, all went fine with the office staff and technician. Then a month later I receive a bill showing I owe them $451.60. They had received $1,806.40 from my insurance plus my $100 and now say I owe the remaining balance. If they had informed me upfront I'd have a balance due after insurance, I would not have scheduled it with them. I would have checked with my previous provider and/or shopped around. This is yet to be resolved. I've had various conversations with them to no avail and spent a few hours on the phone with their various departments. They need to properly train their staff and be held accountable for the actions of their employees. I hope this review is helpful to the eyes it falls upon and bring about positive change within the Policies & Procedures at Touchstone Imaging. read more

The absolute worst billing experience. Charged me the wrong coinsurance. Argued with us about what the type of facility they are (free-standing is the answer), stated they refused to refund us until the EOB came. We paid THOUSANDS of dollars...we get the EOB from our insurance and they tell us touchstone owes us a refund. We call, they have the EOB, but they show a balance of another few thousand, then say it was done incorrectly and they need to forward it to a manager to get it fixed and they will call me back, and that I will get a refund...however those calls never come. So now, while I'm trying to get diagnosed, I also have to fight with touchstone billing to get my refund. The absolute worst and would not recommend to anyone. read more

First of all, the lady who scheduled my appointment Crystal was so nice and efficient. When I arrived Summer greeted me immediately. She was very kind and so nice to deal with. I sat down a few minutes and then I was called in by Cassidy. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease through the testing process. She was very nice and so kind. I truly mean it when I say all facilities should have employees like these. It is stressful enough dealing with all of the tests and procedures when you have breast cancer. This is by far one of the best places I have been to in the last eight months. I highly recommend them. read more

Arrived early for MRI appointment for my son. They took him back to get images only to return and say he would not fit. The mri machine they try to push him through was for people 90lbs. He is 156lbs. Why would they even try to do that for a scan of an elbow. They should have had the appropriate machines for each scheduled treatment before apt. Not trying to cram a 12 year through MRI he wasn't ever going to fit in. My favorite is how they were not even apologetic or cared at all. Like "sorry Charlie you're out of luck" we can reschedule for another day. Thanks, I pulled him out of school for this appointment and paid $700 out of pocket. Go somewhere else. Worst place ever!! I feel like Something wrong is going on there. The Billing is still incorrect and they double billed my MRI/MRA to my insurance from what I see on my bill. Staff is rude and the tech has a dry personality. They refuse to talk to my dr office about the incorrect coding they messed up on and literally have done absolutely nothing to fix it. I'm suspicious of this business. They will apologize on yelp reviews but have no follow thru. They really seem like they don't care. read more

Mahalo Plenty to the staff at Touchstone Imaging. My Mom had x-rays a few weeks back and spoke so highly of the technician that when her doctor asked where should we take her for the MRI's I replied Touchstone. My Mom is 84 years young and they were very accommodating with her needs. We scheduled two different times so she didn't have to stay still for a solid hour. She came out today bragging about how nice the lady was in the mri. It's always easy to write a bad review but it should be easier to write the good ones too. I stopped what I was doing so I could do just that. They were very busy with walk-ins for x-rays and in spite of being packed they were very professional and efficient. Thanks again! I have never written a review especially to down talk a business but I'm making time today. I'm really disappointed and hurt on how you guys work. I had an appt three weeks ago and received a text stating your system was down and needed to reschedule. Ok, great we reschedule my appt and I'm told i can't bring my 2 kids due to Covid...it was really hard for me to work that out since I am new to Denton but again ok. I was told twice my appt was for 5:30 and need to arrive 15 min prior. I spent 25 minutes driving up and down the main road trying to find your building through the address provided via text... my GPS kept showing my destination to be directly under the highway. Obviously there's no building in the middle of an intersection. I called the office three times to try to get an idea on where the building was located nobody answered so I left a VM. I finally arrived at 5:30 thinking I'm good only to be told that I missed my appt by 15 minutes and the phones are cut off at 5:00 -____- I'm trying to understand how it makes sense to have an appt booked but your phones are turned off before the appt start time. I never received a call or a VM from the office lord knows it would have been HELPFUL so I could find your building. Even if my appt was for 5:15 I STILL wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone on where your building was with the phones being off!! To top it off your receptionist was SOO RUDE and COMPLETELY unapologetic. Do better! read more

While the facility and people were fine, I was charged a $100 copay for my CT scan. Later , I got a bill for another 250 dollars and they basically said " Too bad" when I tried to argue with them . My physician told me that it should have cost around $800 for the basic CT I got, yet Touchstone charged my insurance $2000 !!!!!! And my insurance refused to pay that much ( Blue Cross) so Touchstone stuck me with the rest. DO NOT USE THEM ! read more

My doctor has scheduled my MRI here but after reading all the poor reviews I'm really not sure I want to step in their door. How can a clinic of this natural have such poor reviews year after year? I went forward with my appointment and my experience was excellent. Nothing like I had read. The tech giving the MRI lacked in personality but was great in explaining the process. Good if you need to get in quick but if we had the time would have went elsewhere. Just an overall bad atmosphere and poorly managed staff. The people working the front don't greet you and make their personal conversations a priority over helping people waiting. After waiting 49 minutes after our scheduled appointment time they finally called my husband back. While we were waiting in the sitting area the ladies behind the glass were speaking so loudly we could hear them talking trash about their other coworkers and customers that called in. Completely unacceptable. This type of conversation needs to be done in private. Not in the lobby. read more

I was a bit hesitant about visiting this location due to the poor reviews. I almost cancelled my appointment, but decided my MRI was more important than poor reviews. I tried to keep an open mind once I arrived and went in without any expectations. I wasn't greeted when I entered, but I received prompt service. There was one person ahead of me and the wait was not very long. I was asked for my license and insurance card and given paper work. There were a few questions I had about my copay, but I was given an option for a payment plan. This worked out beautifully as I had more pain than funds lol. My wait to be seen was about 15 minutes. I was taken to the back, given a locker to put my items and set up for my MRI. The technician was very patient and discussed the length of the MRI and gave me a pump I could press if I decided I wanted to stop as well as ear buds. The machine was VERY loud and I had a bit of anxiety, but I finished with no issues. Overall, I had a decent experience and wouldn't mind having future appointments here. read more

Their appointment clerk reached out to me and directed me to their clinic and told me I'd get in in 5 minutes and be able to make my 3:00 appointment That receptionist ignored me let Walk-ins go in before me. I'm kind of surprised at the low rating of this place. I guess it varies by person, but I had a great experience (or at least as good as one can expect) getting an MRI today. On the phone they were friendly when I made the appointment. When I arrived at my appointment the receptionist was very nice. They also have snacks and coffee/water for while you wait! The technician was also nice and talkative and made me feel very comfortable. It was a pleasant experience! read more

I would avoid this place, should've looked at the reviews before going. The waiting room and the front desk ladies are friendly. The lady taking my xrays was incredibly rude and Raised her voice at me. Her job is to take some xrays not be so freaking bossy. First and foremost, I would like to thank Trisha for getting all my MRI's done the other evening. I was delayed by a wreck on the way in and running behind, but she masterfully set each one up and very kindly and thoughtfully got them all done so I didn't have to reschedule. She was very professional and great at her job, but most importantly, she treated me kindly and would check in with me and see how I was doing. She gave me her full attention and treated me as another person, not just a name and a number. I didn't tell her, but I'm a disabled, retired nurse of 25 yrs experience.. so I've seen both sides , by being a patient, and taking care of a patient . So I know the one's who really care about their clients welfare and about doing an amazing job in the process ! So, thank you Trisha, you were awesome And I want the facility to know, that I live in Frisco and have all those new facilities to choose from, but I will ALWAYS drive those extra miles to come to you specifically, because of the efficiency of the staff and the kindness and care I've received there, you really have a great team working for you, that's hard to find these days !! They can never get my insurance correct and refuse to verbally call to get benefits. Funny how no one else has trouble getting my correct benefits via computer or verbally except touchstone and this happens every time I need imaging. Will not Ever go back to this facility. read more

I visited Touchstone, and something was really messed up with the way they charged me. I paid almost $500 at the time of service which was the anticipated amount that I would owe. Then I received a bill for $1700 in the mail and they billed 5 MRI's instead of 3! What's more, they said they didn't have any record of my payment at the time of service. This is really disconcerting, and has resulted in a lot of time on the phone when I did exactly what I was supposed to. If you go there, make sure you keep your receipt and check your insurance benefits carefully before paying any bills that you receive in the mail! read more
