They don't help women in their most vulnerable times. Won't give the necessary treatment to protect the life of the mother

The male nurse at the check-in desk made him feel as if he didn't belong there because he didn't "look sick." When my family member got to the back, he was given a breathing treatment and was left in the room over 20 minutes after it completed. He also told the healthcare provider that he hadn't eating in over 10 hours and they still proceeded to give him medication that needed to be taken with food. When he got back home, he was vomiting all over the place. When he got his diagnosis, the male nurse (same person who checked him in) was surprised! He shouldn't have judged a book by it's cover. Just because a person doesn't look well does not mean they don't feel well in their body! Again, he was made to feel as if he just wandered in there off the street. We have wonderful insurance (even if we did not, it shouldn't make a difference b/c healthcare providers should treat each person the same). This family member is a college student in his senior year and needed the help and what does he get? Mistreatment and prejudice! I told him to not visit this place again; at least not on the 3rd shift. The people there obviously didn't want to do their jobs! High reviews? How? I'm very concerned for my family member to get care being so far from home while in college. THIS is why I worry because of people like this! Shame on you, "Total" Care.

Michelle gives shots and IVs so painlessly and quickly I wouldn't have known I got them if she hadn't insured I knew all about my care. The doc is also awesome. His professional opinion was to hang from a bar like a monkey to stretch out my spine and take a hot shower. He gave me one pain pill and a prescription. When I asked if we could do an X-ray or MRI, he said no because "nothing is broken." Fast forward One weeks to a real doctor, and they found two masses--one on my spine and another on my kidney. I would have expected better treatment, especially since no one else was in the ER. Within 15 minutes, I was in and out, but they made sure to get payment before I could even step out of the ER. I've called the hospital several times to discuss the bill and my treatment, but no one will return my calls. I even contacted the Patient Advocate Department, and still, no response. The medical profession needs to do better. Listen to your patients. Don't just collect the co-pay and push them out the door. Filling a patient full of pain meds is not medical treatment! I also found the doctor on Facebook and sent him a message. He didn't show any compassion or even say sorry--just gave a thumbs up. So unprofessional! See Photo)

My first 2-3 nurses were very kind, helpful and went out of there way to bring me pain meds without having to ask, checked on me periodically, made sure I didn't need help to the bathroom or a refill on my water. The last nurse I had there was terrible! I don't remember her name but she was a middle aged brunette working the late night/early morning shift. I noticed immediately when she first came in the room that she had an attitude problem. She didn't make eye contact, acted cold, treated me like an idiot and was mad anytime I asked for pain meds, water etc. Then, I asked her when dinner was being served because for the first time in almost two days I was ready to attempt to actually eat. She yelled at me and gave me a vague time table. Two hours later I buzzed her just to inquire about dinner and she yelled at me again and accused me of being impatient. Another hour later, after not having my dinner yet and seeing a dinner clean up cart being rolled down the hallway I buzzed her again... She said that dinner had already been served and cleaned up and I should have received it. My dinner was finally given to me but it was freezing cold and it seemed like they just threw a bunch of stuff on a plate for me because they were out of hot food. After I ate my husband decided to leave the hospital for about an hour to get some fast drive-thru dinner for himself. When he returned and tried to return to my room the nurses told him that I had checked out and left the hospital. After him having to argue with them for over ten minutes to prove that there was no way that I had left, they went to check my room and sure enough I was still there. Apparently SOMEONE erased my name off of the nurses board which is probably why I was ignored, not served meals and my husband almost turned away. To me that is just awful, who forgets about a patient? Before it was time to leave the next morning the same mean nurse came in to change my dressings before I left. She "stripped" my drainage bulb which was incredibly painful! When I screamed in pain she said "What is wrong with you? This doesn't hurt, I have done this same thing to hundreds of people and NOBODY ever said they felt anything" basically completely disregarding my pain and practically calling me a liar. One more thing about this nurse, my doctor was unable to visit me in the hospital for a family emergency so he told her to give me aftercare instructions. She gave me ALL of the wrong instructions. She told me I didn't need to wear my compression garment, she told me not to remove gauze from my belly button or to clean my belly button wound etc. When I visited my surgeon a few days later he was extremely mad that I had not been wearing my compression garment or cleaning my BB and it was infected. Bottom line is, this hospital is okay depending on who cares for you... but having my name erased from the patients list and not cared for is dropping the ball BIG TIME.

He had shortness of breath and alot of discomfort. As a scared mother I ran up to the front desk and said my son can't breathe we need help right away. The front desk woman paused, looked right me and rolled her eyes. As if to indicate I was being dramatic. She took her time getting our information down with alot of attitude and called in shortness of breath after a good 10mins. She was joking with the other staff in the background and had no professional or urgency. My son ended up being very sick and needed breathing support for several day afterwards. The carelessness continued when we found out his medications were not called in and he had to wait another day for medication he needed. I'm pissed but my child suffered. He deserved better care.
