I used Touchpoint Pediatrics when my daughter was born in 2001 and stayed with them until she became an adult. I now have the privilege of once again using the practice since I adopted my 6 year old in 2024. I love that not only are there amazing pediatricians that remain on top of medical concerns, but Dr. Shaw is a developmental pediatrician and is beyond thorough when she gives your child a physical. She touches on all the developmental domains and gives excellent strategies for behavioral supports. Both my children have special needs and medical issues. Dr. Shaw was beyond helpful with where I could go for specific services. EVERYONE there will greet you with a smile and go out of their way to help you. They have off hours emergency services, which I appreciate, because I am not in a City MD or PM Pediatrics where the pediatrician does not know my child. Thank you TouchPoint Pediatrics for making us feel comfortable during our visits, giving us reassurance and support when needed and always being able to address our concerns. In addition, there is never any waiting time and we are taken exactly as scheduled. My son had his physical today and I felt relieved and had answers to addressing my concerns. read more

I am truly appalled by the negative reviews I see here. My children were patients of Touchpoint for 16 years until basically, the kids grew up, went to college, and my insurance changed. Touchpoint is one of the few brick and mortar physician practices that have not been bought out by Summit Health or Atlantic Health yet, and as a result, I was actually able to have my kids be seen on the same day for a sick visit (you just have to call early in the morning for one) and on two occasions, my kids were seen on a Sunday because the on call doctor was following up with my kid from an ER visit, and on the other occasion my son was very sick so the doc let us come in for a strep test. As for the comments that complain about form charges...completing forms takes extra time at the end of a physician's day. Pediatricians are already reimbursed very poorly by insurance companies. You are paying for their time at the end of the day to complete all those irritating school forms. In all my 16 years with Dr Shaw and her team, I have never had any problems with rudeness with the staff. The staff always followed up with me appropriately. The doctors were always thorough, kind, hardworking, and smart. To just complain about the cost of forms and the front desk is not a fair or balanced assessment of this practice. read more

I brought my children there for two years and I was consistently disappointed. The doctors were average at best and misdiagnosed my daughter a couple of times, the facility made things unnecessarily difficult and the receptionists were incredibly rude and flippant. Subpar care. Rude owner and front desk. And they make it impossible to leave if you decide you don't like them. All my friends have been pulling their kids out (some after a week) and having the same issue. I understand the 30 day policy to send records, that's fine. But it's their gate holding of random transfer fees and rudeness that did it for me. Also they just messed up so many times on my Kids diagnosis. Once that left him in the hospital for 3 nights-- and the other time was something serious another doc diagnosed within 1 minute. Avoid. Seriously and literally go anywhere else. read more

Very bad experience!!! They wanted to charge me twice the fee to send the health forms to my son's school because the deadline was in 24 hours! When I tried to negotiate the fee with them given that my son's previous pediatrician never asked for such a fee, they insisted and they seemed not to care. I made a decision to leave the practice on the spot! Will never go back! read more

We stayed with this practice for far too long not knowing how much better it could have been someplace else! A few of the front office workers were extremely rude and unprofessional during our last few visits. The doctors themselves are ok, but the turnover is too high for our liking. Both doctors we selected have since left over the course of the 3 years that my children have been with Touchpoints. This place does not have that warm, welcoming vibe you would want from your pediatric office ---we felt like 1 in a billion. Scheduling visits were ridiculous (usually a 2 month wait unless extremely sick). We switched to another practice and let me tell you-- it was like night and day! The doctors at our new practice showed genuine concern and asked questions during our first visit that these doctors never asked us about the children. They recognized areas of concern immediately--while it took Touchpoints 3 years and persistent mom nagging to have them even mention and make recommendations. I don't ever leave less than stellar reviews but I thought I should warn others as I wish someone warned me. I would have definitely looked into another practice from the start! **Also, just as another reviewer mentioned, if you do decide to bring your kids here (against my recommendation) and then decide to leave later on ,they will give you the hardest time (charge you for medical records, have you sign ridiculous statements) and completely close/shut you out off from everything (e.g., referrals to specialists that you are seeing etc..). We moved to the area in 2019 and they were close by, so we started bringing our children. I have had a consistently negative experience with Touchpoint from the start, literally across the board. The receptionists were really unhelpful during COVID - I assume they were instructed by the practice to not provide helpful information about testing - this was back when it was very hard to find PCR tests for young children. They consistently feigned ignorance when it came to things like completing forms for schools in the area - they seemed to have zero familiarity with Chatham school forms and their website was nearly impossible to upload forms to - they wouldn't accept them via email, so it created a number of times where we had to physically go to the office unnecessarily. Every time I called the office, I found the receptionists extremely rude and patronizing - very fake friendly but actually unhelpful. I have never had an experience like this before with a pediatrician or any doctor or similar service provider. I needed to book a physical for my kids before the camp season started and the only appointment was months in the future, during the school day. I picked up my kids, went to Touchpoint and they inform me the doctor had to leave and so the appointment was cancelled and there was nothing they could do until September. This was in May. I told them I would have to move pediatricians if they couldn't figure out a way to get us in. They just smirked. Then, in June, they left me a threatening voice mail that they would report me to the credit bureau for an unpaid balance - which I don't think they can legally do in NJ anyway. I called to pay the balance and asked what it was for - they told me it was a cancellation fee for a no show visit. They had the gall to charge me $50 for cancelling my appointments with them when they left me high and dry, after waiting for months, with no easy way to get the physicals I needed for the kids camp. Offices never felt clean or welcoming. There was one doctor who seemed lovely - the doctors themselves might be ok- but the practice overall - the receptionists!!!- not good at all. read more

Unbelievably amazing practice and doctors. I am a first-time mom and I have had a lot of questions, concerns, and anxiety. The practice has been wonderful during this time. I have contacted them many times during office hours and after work and the doctors (yes the doctors themselves) have always gotten back to me quickly. They have a great system and have always been able to squeeze us in if we needed to drop in for a non-routine visit. We chose not to exclusively request one doctor from the group and I must say every one of them has been amazing so far. Something I was not expecting. Dr. Shaw is very smart, kind and up to date especially with developmental and behavioral aspects of the peds world. Their website is also very helpful. They have documents on their website that come very handy, including dosage and what to dos for fevers (a nice thing to have when your child spikes his first 103 fever at 1am and you're all alone). We also found out my son has cow milk protein allergy and their office contacted my insurance so many times to inquire about them covering the formula AND they also gave us formula samples whenever they could. They don't just have great pediatricians, the doctors and staff will genuinely help any way they can. I have three other friends who have been taking their children to this practice as well. I was in medical sells for over 10 years, specifically worked with pediatricians in all the counties in NNJ, so I have seen the good, the bad and the very ugly in practices. That being said, when it came time to pick a pediatrician for our first born, the ONLY practice I thought of was Touchpoint Pediatrics in Chatham , NJ! Dr. Shaw and her staff are highly professional and up-to-date with the latest medical news/information. Besides being well-knowledged, Dr. Shaw and her staff are caring and compassionate. They understand the needs of their patients - the children - as well as of the parents. For example, if you want to spread out your child's vaccines, they understand your concerns and agree with the choice of spreading them out on different visits. They let you decide that as the parent and don't make you feel uncomfortable about your choices! The doctors are always available even on holidays. If your child is sick, they have same day appointments. The office is large and clean with a divided sick and well waiting room. Also, there is a parking lot. I have recommended family and friends and they too are very happy with their choice of Dr. Shaw as their pediatrician! read more

I am new to the Madison area and thought that I would give Touchpoint Pediatrics a try. I have 3 small children. Myself and my husband are both physicians. I had a couple of mediocre visits to this office but was extremely disappointed when upon arriving 15 minutes late to a well visit, my family was turned away and told that the doctor would not see us. There were no patients in the waiting room. The office staff was extremely rude to me and my children. They were very unsympathetic and unconcerned as to why we had arrived late. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I am simply amazed...after a long delay in waiting to be seen by this physician, I find that I am being billed $125 for them to check my daughter's temperature prior to a flu shot. A call to the office manager was simply a HUGE waste of my time...and the office did NOT articulate how they were going to bill for this FLU shot in advance. I have two kids and they have been with Touchpoint since we moved to Chatham. We are happy with all the doctors there and have recommended them to friends, neighbors, etc.. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with one of the front desk staff today. I was trying to schedule a well visit for my daughter. I understood there was no after-school time available soon, and was willing to accommodate for a time that I had to take my daughter out of school. However, what was unacceptable and really made me upset was that the staff on the phone was very impatient, rude, unfriendly, unempathic, unprofessional and unhelpful. I told her "never mind" and was ready to move my kids to somewhere else. Another staff called me back to apologize for the inconvenience, etc. I told her it wasn't about the inconvenience which I understood, it was about the way I was treated and talked to. For a business, the staff's service matters as much as the doctor's qualifications and skills. Remember the research says, the doctors who have friendly staff got sued much less. read more

Dr. Shaw and her staff make it easy. I have 2 boys ages 15 and 11 - we have been with her from the start. The Touchpoint office is always clean and well run - everyone knows what they're doing and they do it with a reassuring smile. All of our questions have always been answered quickly and thoughtfully giving us great confidence that we are in the right place. Additionally, both boys have ADD and she does a fabulous job of helping them with academic and interpersonal issues. read more
