My friends and I ordered a ton of food: the paneer 65 appetizer (my favorite thing we ordered!), the samosa chaat, veggie korma, malai kofta, paneer tikka masala, and a bread basket. Everything was great, though the korma was a bit sweet for me. The server didn't ask for our preferred spice level , so I assume everything was mild. But it was very delish and the right level of spice for me (except for the korma). Only not a 5 star review because our server seemed pretty grumpy and unhappy haha but a gentleman whom I believe was the owner came over multiple times to ask how our food was and recommended some dishes for us as it was our first time in. He was super friendly! Highly recommend checking this place out. I know I'll be back again soon!

I have been to Honest Restaurant a couple of times and I find it an interesting place to get Indian…read moreFood. Located in a stand alone building that was probably a Friendly's before the outside and the inside is pretty generic, nice and clean, but certainly no indication of what is being served. Honest is a vegetarian Indian restaurant with a menu that is different than any other Indian restaurant in the area. The menu runs a variety from versions of curries, sandwiches, Indo/Chinese and even pizzas. There are a number of items of Indian street food and the overall vibe is more of the kind of modern Indian casual restaurant you might actually find in India, which makes sense since this is a local franchise of a chain that started in India. Not surprisingly the times I have visited the clientele was primarily Asian. During my visits I have tried a number of items and while I found the sandwiches were good, what were my favorites were the curries and the Chinese style noodles. A number of the items were flavored with very authentic spicing so you need to be careful if you are hot spice sensitive; I really enjoyed the spiciness, but not everyone will. Overall Honest Restaurant is a great alternative to most of the other Indian restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is casual, the food is very good with some options not usually available, prices are moderate and service is good. Well worth a try especially if you are looking for something a bit different.

This restaurant ( NEW LOCATION)was very good . Keep in mind…read more I am NOT vegan but my wife is . So this spot give us a place to meet her food needs and for us to have a friendly compromise . I can truly say that the food doesn't taste Vegan. It is actually delicious. The service was very pleasant and inviting. Although the restaurant is on the smaller side it's quite cozy. If I would give one complaint I would say that they didn't have a large enough coffee cup. It was very tiny I would say a 4oz cup instead of a 6 or 12oz. Overall will I go back ABSOLUTELY..

I'm torn with this one…read more Taste-wise, most of our food was good, but the presentation was, well, bad. Let's talk about the rib dinner: it's made from jackfruit and really does taste like meat. It's pretty good, but it looked like it was just slapped down on the plate...bbq sauce smeared along the sides of the plate...pretty slapdash. It came with two sides, which, if plated with the ribs, might have looked better. But the side of Mac & cheese came separately in a cup, and the side of truffle fries came in a styrofoam clamshell. The Mac was decent... not cheesy but had a good flavor. The fries were lukewarm and soggy and left a greasy pool of oil at the bottom. It was definitely small portions.... Not enough to fill my husband's stomach. He ate half of my meal...which brings me to the next dish: burrito bowl. This was quite filling, flavorful, and large-portioned. It was nicely presented, even if in a plastic bowl. They were out of a lot of things on the menu, and there was no dessert to be seen, which was disappointing because vegan desserts are hard to come by. I was hoping for more creative dishes and ingredients, but it was mainly typical restaurant fare ( hamburgers, fish, tacos , fries) but just with vegan meat swapped in for real meat. Not saying it wasn't good...just not really creative. I can see this being more of a take-out place. I don't recommend it as a destination.

I would also like to say that I am very impressed by how vegan forward Cleveland is. Idk why I wasn't expecting it. I doni't even feel like I experience this shit in NY but maybe I am not going to the right places. Anyways, we sat at the bar and went to work ordering our beverages. It was early enough that I could benefit from more caffeine so I was pleased to see a coffee-esque cocktail with vodka. GF ordered the sangria. I embarrassed myself a lil by assuming the three pierogi could be mix and match which they cannot. We wanted the classic potato and cheese but also wanted to try one of the vegan ones so went with the sweet potato and black bean. I was further thrown for a loop when I was asked what sauces I want. Oh my god there are sauces to choose from?!? Did I even read the menu? The bartender threw out some options I couldn't argue with: sriracha something creamy maybe sour cream or mayo? and French onion which was intriguing. Both were SO good. The pierogi were also spectacular. They were HUGE and the filling was to die. Diamond in the rough.
