THE BEST vegetarian Cuban I've had in my life - the addition of pineapple really makes it stand out! The fries were a bit soft, though, the tater tots were better and more crispy. I also loved the slaw which was more vinegar based rather than mayo based - light and refreshing! All menu items can be made vegan/vegetarian too , while also having options for my meat eating friends, which is a huge bonus. The decor is a bit sparse and I wish they had a bigger sign as it was hard to find. But the owner/cook/server was amazing and very friendly, so overall it was a wonderful dining experience. I am having food, allergies and traveling is another issue all together! I was so lucky to have found this particular place that had impossible burgers available, and in a lettuce wrap style!! The gentleman that served me was also the owner and he was an interesting personalities originally from New Jersey. If you're looking for a casual meal alone, or solid to-go food, or a place to gather with friends with something for everyone--this is it! Earth Bistro Cafe was my choice for a solo meal on a Saturday afternoon. The marinated tofu wrap was so well-made, really going the distance by lightly grilling the wrap to keep it closed and give it that delicious toasty taste. The fries (a little extra cost FYI) were hot out of the fryer and awesome, and the side slaw is not to be overlooked--not weighed down by heaps of cream, but light and herby with tons of dill. When I came in around 2 p.m., there was one other table of 6, and by the time I left, almost every table was taken and several to go orders had been retrieved. Hesitant to describe the raw cashew cheesecake to me. I got a piece of raw berry cashew cheesecake and an Impossible burger. He slathered Hershey's chocolate syrup and strawberry slices al over the raw berry cashew cheesecake...why?!? I had to wipe off the nasty processed syrup chocolate from the delicious $8 frozen berry purée and nutty soft raw cheesecake. It was actually very good once the sauce was wiped off. I also ordered a piece of the chocolate peanut butter cake but he gave me an Oreo chocolate cake and slathered that in sauce too- I didn't notice until I got home so it was too late but he clearly wasn't paying attention. The Impossible burger was well done and came with onion, wonderfully fresh greens, and juicy tomato. The bun was toasted yet hard/stale. The fries were flaccid and greasy (oddly enough I prefer soft greasy fries so this is okay) with great salt and black pepper seasoning. Unexpectedly good fries. I called to place a pickup order. The man who answered the phone was incredibly rude and patronizing. You heard me right. I agree. It's really bizarre to be rude and patronizing to a customer on the phone. Apparently, my offense was that I asked if they offered any breakfast items for take out, and because I read the online menu incorrectly about when breakfast was offered, he felt he should unleash a multitude of patronizing remarks trying to clarify how "wrong" I was for making that mistake. He assumed I read the wrong online menu and offered me the example of how he would never make that mistake, claiming, "If I wanted something at Costco, I wouldn't go to GOOGLE, I would go to the WEBSITE. For a non-vegan/vegetarian person, I was a bit concerned about what this place would end up being. I have to say I was pleasantly pleased with Earth Bistro Cafe. Walking in from not the most commercial street in the world, I wasn't sure what to expect. The dining room is a reasonably comfortable, medium-sized space with some basic decor, but nothing particularly noteworthy. We were quickly greeted by a friendly server who presented us with menus and described the menu. We quickly ordered a starter of the potato and onion pierogies and I got the black bean burger that came with a side of pasta and slaw. The pierogies were actually quite delightful with essentially a mashed potato inside and dressed with sauteed onions and a side of vegan sour cream. They were much more flavorful than I expected and the pierogi skin had a good chew to them. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was just mediocre. The slaw was not extremely flavorful or exceptionally dressed. The pasta salad was fine, but nothing special... and I hate to say it because I really wanted to find a great black bean burger here, but it wasn't the best black bean burger I've had and left me wanting. I do believe everything was extremely fresh - all the veggies were still crisp and had a good chew to them, but I just felt that the combination wasn't the best. My three star ratings I generally give to restaurants that I think are good, but just not something I would recommend to a friend visiting out of town. I may come back to Eath Bistro Cafe when I am on a health kick and on my occasional meat-free days and I think their staff is fantastic. Bottom line, Eath Bistro Cafe is a great place to visit for a place you're going with someone who appreciates vegetarian or vegan food that will leave you happy as well with good service and some reasonable food options. However, it wouldn't be my first choice of restaurant. read more

Loved this place! The location is not the best, and there isn't nearby parking except for the little confidence store to its right, but the inside is very cute. It does have dim lightly though. I got the veggie panini and was blown away. The fries and coleslaw were great as well! Non-vegan lovers will love this food! Earth Bistro Cafe is awesome. I'm generally skeptical about (non-ethnic) vegetarian-oriented restaurants, but Earth Bistro Cafe is a cut above most of the restaurants in the Clifton area. My wife and I went for lunch - nice ambiance, good music, one server, but he was cool and friendly. We started off ordering the Caribbean Guacamole served with naan and plantain chips. The guacamole was definitely homemade and really good. A bit different with pineapple in it, but in a good way. The naan and plantain chips came hot and fresh. A good start. For our main dishes, my wife ordered the fried tofu sandwich, I ordered the black bean burger. Both came on fresh grilled buns. Both were served with (incredible) pasta salad and coleslaw. You can substitute the pasta salad for fries or potato salad I believe. Everything we ate was super fresh. The black bean burger was homemade and flavorful. The food is top notch. The service was knowledgeable on the menu. He steered me straight to the Cubano which was delightful with the fresh grilled pineapple and the generous portions of pork and ham. It was accompanied by an oil based dill slaw that hit the spot and a chilled penne salad. The wifey indulged in their deconstructed caprese salad that filled the plate with greens and giant portions of fresh mozzarella and tomato. The balsamic reduction was on point and done right. I had the Vegan Rancheros. First of all, *I wasn't even hungry* and was a little disappointed that everything looks so good ...and looked like they would be big plates.
