Additionally they charged a somewhat costly fee simply to diagnose the issue. Faced with a time crunch, I looked on Yelp and luckily came across the many good reviews for Ryan at CC&R in the Outer Sunset. In addition to building custom computers, Ryan also does hardware repairs and fixes programming issues. Ryan was able to quickly accept my laptop at 8pm, and spent the night and the next day diagnosing and fixing the problem. His hours are flexible and he doesn't drag out his work over several days. I was very impressed at the speed with which he was able to work on things, and the completeness of his work. In addition to fixing a software bug issue, he did a diagnosis of the health of my drives, my virus software, and recommended a switch to a free program, which he did for me. The cost of his help, considering the level of attention and speed, was quite fair. It should be noted that Ryan is a local college student. I'm quite happy to be helping someone who is working his way through school. I appreciated his help so much that I created a Yelp account just to leave a good review. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Daniel came to our home and explained how he might be able to transfer all of our material to a new external hard drive. So as not to give us false hope, he told us that sometimes older files are unable to transfer to newer devices because of incompatible formats but that he thought there was a good chance he would be successful. We felt Daniel's fees were reasonable and decided to give it a try. Three days later, we got the surprise of our lives. Daniel found a way to recapture the words, photos and music that are so precious to us. He also taught us how to access the material to print out/view/and listen to on our new computer. We are so delighted to see old photographs again, listen to favorite music from the 1950s through the 1970s, and hear the voices of our parents who we recorded many years ago. Daniel's service includes picking up and returning the computers. He also showed us how to label things correctly, create new files, and adjust the audio properly. I had completely disassembled my $400 HP printer, put it back together and something went wrong and the screen wouldn't light up. They're not only found the tiny wire inside a very, very small cable that I have broken, they showed me a picture of it and gave me a complete tutorial. then they went on to explain why my printer wasn't working anymore. It had smeared printing because over five years, I've been using aftermarket toner on an HP printer. I then asked for a recommendation on a high volume printer for home use. That's in between category between home desktop and large office printers. They said they didn't know but they researched it and called me back a couple of days later with really excellent advice I took and purchased the printer they recommended! Then one day I was nearby installed a large projection system and didn't have a long enough power cable. I went in and explained and they gave me a 10 foot power cable for free. But most important these people are are very friendly as well as mean technical experts... But very humble about it and they really listen care about the customers. Wow!
