BEWARE! SCAMMERS! My car, a 2020 Subaru with less than 36miles, was making some scraping sound. I took my car in not thinking too much. I thought it was a minor issue and any mechanic would do. I was stopped at the red light and I saw this autoshop right in front of me, so I took my car. They seemed pleasant, very pleasant, making comments like "this is the best place to work!" I saw the owner, silver haired old man, walking around, keeping an eye. After two hours of waiting, the receptionist came back with her iPad and started showing me pictures of my brake and quoted me $1200, labor alone was priced at $463.00! Along, with the brakes, they had 9 other recommended services, which they said was urgent. All together, the additional service was another $3000. I was desperate and needed my car the next day for a trip, which I had shared with the receptionist. She told me they'll take great care of the car and even gave me some discount and automatically enrolled me in their loyalty program. While I was waiting, I saw three other customers enter the door. Two older men and one young woman. I picked up my car next morning and took it to another reputable place, Sweeneys Garage, and was told my brakes are good for few more months and all of the other work they highly recommended, I didn't need!! Do not go here. The silver hair old man is a scammer! This place preys on the vulnerable and is a prime example of rip off mechanics!! read more

Took my car for a inspection. I had it inspected there last year too. I was charged 50+ dollars for the cheapest windshield wipers I've ever seen. This time they told me I had a whole host of problems. They claimed my parking brake didn't work, but as soon as I got the car back after them not passing inspection the parking brake miraculously worked. Also I was told I can't have tint on my back windows which we all know is a flat out lie. My front windows have NO tint. You are allowed to tint your back windows as dark as you want. All and all they tried to take me for a expensive ride for unnecessary repairs. They told me 25 dollars per window to remove legal tint. Like wtf is wrong with people these days. read more

I have been going to Total Automotive for many years. I have always experienced great service and great customer service.

I came to Total Automotive today for an oil change and inspection. I had previously been going to Delta Sonic but Total Automotive was more convenient and accommodating. I only had to wait about an hour for both services and paid a far more reasonable price than I would have paid at Delta. It's also nice that you can book your appointment online. Definitely switching to Total Automotive for all of my regular maintenance. read more

Honest and trustworthy place to go in town! I went to the Honda dealership for a recall few weeks ago, and they told me the break caliper in my left tire is totally broken and needed a repair. Honda give me a quote to fix the break about $560. I was hesitant about the repair since nothing seem so wrong about my break so decided to take my car here for a quick look. The owner (named Tom if you wanted to see him) personally took a look at my break and there was NOTHING wrong with my break like the dealers have said. It saved me the money I could have spent on the dealer that made up the repair cost, and I found a trustworthy place to go from now on that will not make up unnecessary repairs like other shops do. read more

Two years ago, I wrote this shop a rather awful review on Google reviews. I went to edit/remove it, however Google would not allow for me to do so. So, I am writing a new review. Chris, the service manager/customer service contact, is beyond professional and extremely friendly, even when faced with a agitated/frustrated customer. I called just now, after having left my subpar review 2 years ago, because I am in need of a local mechanic who is reliable in diagnostics. When I called, Chris recognized my name, asked me how I was doing, and what car I was now driving. Completely friendly and professional, considering he was fully aware I had previously left a less than stellar review. I was young, freshly out of college at the time, and not a penny to my wallet. I not fully understanding the car repair scene, I took out some financial frustrations through my previous review on Total Automotive. Now, I cannot speak for the mechanics themselves, but Chris is beyond helpful, and professional on the phone and in person when inquiring about repairs/diagnostics. Tried again after years away. They will not respect you as a customer. I went to this place years ago when it was Buffalo Discount Muffler Brake, and stopped because the staff had bad attitudes. I heard it changed, so I thought I'd give it a try with an oil change, then an inspection. Without getting into too much detail, it was Tom's attitude that turned me off. I asked for clarification and he thought I was trying to tell him how to do his job. Which I was not. If I was an expert I wouldn't need them. So I will not go back after feeling completely disrespected. I'm sure they have some great technicians and staff. Chris, the service adviser is the most professional employee they've ever had. I have been going to them for over 25 years. This trip was my 52,000 mile check up and an oil change. They only charged me for the oil change since they do a thorough check of your car when they do that. My dad once had to have his rear bumper fixed after someone hit it and the dealer (who he always went to) wanted to charge him $1000.00. Tom and his guys at Total Automotive did a beatiful job for $500.00. I used to get price quotes before I had something fixed there, but not any more. They are the fairest game in town. read more

Not only was the sales man (Chris Johnson) extremely friendly, he was also very well educated on the products and answered all my questions.
