The drinks were amazing, so perfect, "La Toxica, Prime Sangria and Papi chulo" were our favorite. We asked our bartender to make another round. She was quick to make them and she very friendly and polite. Her name was Yasmin, she is also so beautiful. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. It was my husband's birthday, and I was so excited to celebrate here because of all the great reviews. After we sat down, it took nearly 30 minutes just for someone to take our drink and food .My cousin-in-law eventually had to wave someone down just so we could place an order. There was a server but he was more interested in the woman party than ours . The woman who eventually stepped in to help us was great and truly tried her best to accommodate us, and I really appreciated her efforts. However, this wasn't even her section. What was most disappointing was that neither a manager nor the server who was supposed to be taking care of our table ever came over to acknowledge the delay or apologize. For a birthday celebration that we were really looking forward to, the lack of service and acknowledgment put a damper on the experience. I completely understand that restaurants get busy, but a simple apology or communication would have gone a long way. Visited on a weekday and there were two customers seating nearby. We were seated promptly but it took a while for waiter to return with some small tostadas (appetizers). He asked if we wanted something to drink. It took a while to get drinks but they were very good! We didn't like the fact that we had to wait to order drinks, place our order, request more tostaditas and wait for our food to arrive. After a less than stellar entry (no hostess, and 2 eye locking moments with the manager who did not come forward to seat me) Eric was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and very pleasant. Came here for my sisters birthday. I saw the most recent reviews and was a little hesitant on coming here but my sister wanted to go so we went through with it. My first impression of the place was that it looked very instagram photo worthy. Beautiful restaurant and I loved the mirrors going towards the bathroom. I also liked the way the bar was set up. Drinks were my favorite thing about this experience. Super tasty and I loved the creativity behind the drinks. The food was delicious as well. My boyfriend and I got the Mexican sashimi and the bone marrow. The bone marrow didn't have much marrow in it but I loved how crunchy the toast was that came with it. The Mexican sashimi was great and I loved the spice kick that it had with it. The service was not worth the 20% auto gratuity but I understand that's what you have to pay with a large party. He might've been training because he had someone following him so maybe that was the case but it also seemed like we were his only table. It wasn't super busy since the World Cup games were going on and people are at other places. One of my friends drink didn't come with the usual cotton candy that her first one did so we asked for some to add on and we watched him walk over to the service well and stand there chatting. I thought he was waiting on the bartender to get him the cotton candy but after a while I realized he wasn't getting the cotton candy. This place claims to be "upscale Mexican," but it really feels more like a spot for social-media photos than quality food. We had a kid with us, and there was basically nothing on the menu for children, so I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids under 10. We had salmon entree. the salmon tasted good, but the rest of the entrée lacked flavor and wasn't cooked well. We ordered a few extra sides hoping they'd help, but honestly none of them were good. The crisp tortilla appetizer was good, and the Playboy Bunny drink was actually pretty tasty. Service was slow. Apparently this place is a popular birthday spot. We went to Tostadas a day before my birthday by pure coincidence (we went to AMC and got hungry after the movie). As soon as we walked inside we were greeted by the hostess and asked if we were celebrating anything, since it was my birthday I got a manu that said happy birthday and I thought that was a nice detail. I got a ribeye taco and 2 octopus tacos to eat and the highlight was the ribeye taco, it was big and simply delicious. For the octopus tacos I thought the octopus flavor got lost with the pineapple sauce it has and that was a bummer to me. To drink I got La Bichota and it's a cocktail visually stunning cause it was cotton candy on top. The flavor of the cocktail was also on point and it was strong cause I only had 2 and i was already feeling it. Shoutout to my server Kimberly, she had a good knowledge of the menu and suggested replacements when I tried to get certain things they were out of. I would also like to note that since it was my birthday I got a free dessert, they put feliz cumpleaños on the speakers and the staff came out with a happy birthday sign to sing happy birthday!! Overall a pretty cool experience. Wasn't asked the temp preference either. We sent it back- it wasn't edible The street tacos- steak... i think we very specific- NO CILANTRO. It was brought out with all the cilantro i reminded the waiter... I was very clear. It took them another 10 minutes to remake it. The tortillas were a little dry. The meat was seasoned well. That's about all The sushi was just ok. It was missing something. We were the first table to be sat. Another woman came in after us. It still took 45 minutes to get our order and first appetizers. I've been here about 3 years ago celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and was amazed at how nice this restaurant was. From decor, music, letter signs and sparklers? Chef's kiss!!!! Literally felt like I was in a club getting bottle service. It was no surprise to come back again to celebrate his birthday here. Came with a party of 10 for a reservation at 7:30 pm. Surprised that it was somewhat empty as the last time we came, it was also on a weekday and packed. We just assumed it was because we had an earlier dinner reservation and as the night went on, other parties were coming in. As for the food, we were given complimentary tortilla chips/ dip and also ordered a calamari appetizer which I DEVOURED. Can't go wrong with these. I also ordered the mini street tacos which come in 5 pieces compared to the birria tacos that only come with 3. It was good, but not to die for yk? It tasted a little plain and soggy, but their house sauce made it better. I get it's an upscale/ pricy restaurant with nice ambiance. But If you want BOMB tacos, you're better off going to a taco truck in downtown on a weekend at 11 pm. What I did not like was that they offer to take your pictures (if you're in a big group and LOTS of pictures) only for you to pay for both the picture and frame that they offered to take for you. I feel as if a simple question would've avoided this and wouldn't have went through all that hassle. On the bright side, I love their drinks. La toxica is good, but their lychee martini never fails me!!! Other establishments are stingy with their alcohol and barely taste it, while tostadas has a good balance between their liquor and mixes. Service was amazing. Servers and the manager always checked up on our table, asked if there was anything we needed, etc. Overall you're pretty much paying for the ambiance and the performances they do for celebrations. I'd honestly come back again to try other foods they offer. Another restaurant that I'd come for special occasions only. read more

We returned from dinner at Tostadas Prime and were surprised to receive an email from OpenTable stating that the restaurant marked us as a no-show, which was clearly incorrect. This has never happened to me before, as I've never missed or been late for a reservation. I hope they resolve this issue. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the service provided by Jay, who was professional, courteous, and displayed stellar communication skills. The food was generally above average, with our favorite dish being the skirt steak. I ordered the Enchiladas by the Sea, which I found a bit bland and could have used more seasoning, though the addition of carrots on the side was a nice touch. We also had guacamole, which we thought needed more salt, and the bread pudding, which was generously sized--so much so that we took most of it home. We appreciated the service, the ambiance, and the parking, which wasn't too difficult since the restaurant is located in a large plaza. There was a big birthday party happening during our visit, but overall, the restaurant was half-empty--likely because it was just after New Year's and many people might have been resting. read more
