WOW! WOW! WOW! Does that adequately convey my enthusiasm for Chicken Delight?…read more First of all, lets be honest about expectations. This review is for a cheap storefront operation, where you can satisfy your need for a fried chicken fix. The help was gregarious, they got my order correct, my dinner was fresh and hot, and the place was cleanish, if a little time worn. It is not a Michelin starred restaurant... If you go here expecting ambience, witty repartee', and an extensive wine cellar, you're F'n delusional!!! That said, this particular location (HIdden in the strip mall at the circle where Knickerbocker Road, and Madison Ave. intersect.) has been serving up fresh, hot, fried chicken for 50 years give or take. THAT'S 50 YEARS PEOPLE!!! I know, because as a kid, my Dad would occasionally pick up a bucket with fries on a Friday night. I'd be salivating as soon as that ethereal aroma started to tug at my olfactories. How many other places do you know around here still serving it up after a half century? Now I haven't stopped in here since maybe the 90's, possibly even the 80's, but decided I'm getting me some fried chicken for dinner, and you know what? In this world of food disappointments, and "NEW IMPROVED RECIPES" (always changed for the worse), Chicken Delight tastes exactly the same as I remember!!! Crispy, Juicy, Hot, and not oversalted like the big boy competitors KFC or Popeye's. The Snozberries taste like Snozberries, and the Chicken tastes like Chicken!!! Also, they've got old school Crinkle Cut French Fries, not the ones with the stay - crisp coating, which to me are inedible. What I ordered: A four piece meal, basically half a cut up chicken (not sure if it was a mistake, but I discovered a 5th piece, an extra wing hiding under my fries) a dinner roll (Yea just a soft little old dinner roll, not a biscuit) and the above mentioned, crinkle cut fries. $6.95 An order of ribs - just nice babybacks, (oddly enough served with two packets of Chinese Duck Sauce, as opposed to BBQ) that were pull apart tender, moist, and with just enough char. (These are not long - smoked BBQ ribs, OK? So don't order expecting those.) In the old days, their ribs were the big St. Louis Cut Spare Ribs, served separated, not as a rack. These were actually tastier. $10.95 for something a little smaller than a full rack. The bottom line - Want to experience fried chicken as I did 45 or more years ago? Want your Chicken Fried to order? (If a walk in like me, expect to wait 10 to 15 minutes.) Are you constantly going back to KFC or Popeye's because it's easy, even if you think it doesn't taste as good as it used to, and you keep hoping that will somehow change? Well then, get yourself over to the Cresskill/Dumont Circle, and experience some deep - fried euphoria of your own!!! BTW - if you drive around the circle to Madison Ave. heading West, the first driveway on your right, will take you right to parking for the place. Don't Cook Tonight! Call Chicken Delight!

But today i was in the area of dumont like I used to do i order for To Go, and i was excited to eat for early dinner but i was disappointed when i got home and open the box. It doesn't look fresh fried chicken it looks refried. Wasting of money

After talking to Matt for 2 minutes you know that he's passionate about what he does and it certainly shows. He was willing to travel to Kingston NY for the event. They set up in the driveway, set up their tent and got down to the business of feeding 60 hungry people. Burgers, Hot Dogs, killer Chicken Nuggets, Onion Rings, Fries and Hot Pretzels- all served with the proper condiments and sauces. Everything was fresh, delicious and well received. At the end they cooked off enough food to feed 60 people all over again! We noshed all night and still had plenty of leftovers. I've eaten at the restaurant and it was very good but their handling of this party was over the top! I wouldn't hesitate to call in this squad again for any event that needs great food and hospitality.

Eighty Twenty 32 Westwood Ave…read more Westwood, NJ 07675 The Smasher Onion Rings What once started as a pop up has now revolutionized into a full scale burger restaurant. The smasher: This signature menu item has all beef patty with a 80% to 20% beef-to-fat ratio, hence the restaurant name. It was topped with caramelized Vidalia onions, American cheese, and topped with their homemade Mandy sauce. The quality and taste was more than superior. I especially enjoyed the Mandy sauce which is a savory combination of ketchup, mayo, honey mustard and barbecue sauce. (The combination of all these sauces may seem overzealous, but it was actually a perfect concoction.) The minor drawback is that the size of the burger is on the smaller side, which accounts for its cost effective price. Onion Rings: These gigantic beer-bartered rings were piping hot and crispy on the outside while soft and oniony on the inside. A cup of Mandy sauce is also included. Ironically, the cost of the side actually is slightly more than the burger itself. All menu items are sold à la carte. There is an up charge if you request any additional specialty sauces with your meal. However, complimentary ketchup, horse radish sauce, hot sauce and many other condiments are complimentary. If you do not wish to buy any beverages, a free water cooler is available. Everything is freshly made to order so expect a wait, but it is definitely worth it. For the most part, this was a positive dining experience and I am happy to see a local pop-up transform into a permanent restaurant. #eightytwenty #smasher #eightytwentywestwood #mandysauce

Came to Four Leaves for a GNO and I found it through Yelp! The pics of the place really drew me in…read more-- I wasn't expecting such a fancy place in Park Ridge. The food itself was fine - I wasn't amazed by it but I still left satisfied. We ordered a bunch of things including the Fig and Pig and Burrata Margherita Floatbreads. The Fig and Pig were my fave due to the prosciutto and fig jam. Also tried the Crispy Calamari and the Prosciutto Onion rings. We split cheesecake for dessert -- I was SO disappointed because I wanted to try the Banana Pudding they have listed on their website but they said it's no longer a menu item. Oh well. Service was attentive and pretty quick! I'd come back here for drinks and the vibe.

We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartar Crostini appetizer to split and it was very good, decent size to split between 3 people. Two of us got the Black Clover Smash Burger and my other girlfriend had the Peppercorn Filet, ordered medium rare. We ordered another round of drinks, mine was served in a highball glass, filled to the brim, but my other girlfriend ordered another drink in a fancy glass and again it was only filled like 3/4 of the way. She was too nice to say something, but we were disappointed for sure. Our smash burgers were good and fries were yummy. The filet was cooked definitely medium so my girlfriend sent it back, requesting it more rare. The steak took awhile to come out, as I nearly finished my meal before the new steak came out. Second time was better, and our server Robert was very nice and actually bought our dessert. Overall, kind of disappointed with the drink situation, and the turnaround for the food, but the vibes were good and they have a nice bar setup. Maybe I'd come back for Happy Hour, but I'm in no rush
