This place is a hidden gem. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have great wings, boneless wings/chicken tenders, and great combos as well at good prices. Most notably we like the boneless wings/chicken tenders, which appear to be actual fresh cut chicken with a light homemade batter, and made to order (not frozen junk), which is rare these days. read more

I'm going to make a bold claim. This is the best pizza place in Bergen County. "But guy", I can hear you saying, "It's a chicken place!?!" Yes, and the fried chicken is excellent, but the pizza is the best! The service is excellent, the staff is made up of friendly local teenagers. If the place looks a little old, that's because they've been churning out consistently Awesome food for 3 generations. Five Stars read more

"Don't cook tonight call "Chicken Delight" Loved the Fried Chicken thighs and the Spare rib combo.. I hadn't had Chicken Delight since the 80's ,it tasted just like my childhood. read more

This is my go to pizza spot, their prices are super reasonable and their pizza always comes out delicious. They're chicken fingers are also perfectly fried and pairs well with their honey mustard sauce. We usually do pick up and everyone is nice and helpful. I do not know how this is only 10 bucks or considered a snack. My go-to-order when I do not want to cook is the 3 Piece Chicken Snack, which consists of 3 pieces of chicken, fries and a roll. The three pieces are wing, thigh and leg. The chicken is always crispy and not greasy. The fries are in abundance and the roll is just that a roll, nothing special. I eat in a non-traditional way, where I pull the meat off the bone and dunk each bite into Mike's Hot Honey which I always have on hand. 50+ years and counting, keep up the good work team. read more

The chicken is top notch (get the fries well done) and the pizza is really good (order it crispy). Service is great and the Corn fritters are ridiculous. read more

Called in an order for pick up and it was very quick. It was ready when we arrived and it was hot. chicken fingers were delicious and the honey mustard is one of the best honey mustard I've ever had. One of the best deals on a pizza you can get in the area. We will be going back again for takeout. read more

Food wasn't as good as it used to be and would have given it 3 stars but when you have miserable cashier who doesn't seem to like her job and rolls her eyes for every answer you give to her questions QUIT YOUR JOB if you don't like it... Sunday afternoon girl in yellow hoodie with multiple ear piercing NEVER AGAIN order from this place read more

This isn't the best chicken restaurant in the area, but you could definitely do worst. I had a 3 piece meal with fries, and it did the job. The staff was polite, and the service was reasonably quick. I'd recommend coming here if you'd want something close by, and don't want to drive all the way to Popeyes on Rte 17. read more

Very good tenders and surprisingly good pizza. Affordable as well. An excellent place for what it is.

I have had Chicken Delight since they opened up in Hillsdale NJ this week is there 57th Anniversary they had pizza and chicken dinner half price the pizza was the same but very disappointed with the coating on the chicken was like dough use to be light brown and crispy you could bite it and the oil would come out probably not so healthy but boy it tasted good Bill was the manager or owner back then don't know if new people have taken over will not go there again and they probably wI'll loose the older generation and our memories of Chicken Delight Please bring our crunchy Chicken back read more

My adult children and I have decided that of all the pizza restaurants in the Pascack Valley area (from Montvale to Hillsdale, probably a dozen), Chicken Delight in Hillsdale consistently has the BEST pizza!! The crust is always perfect, their sauce stands out from so many other local pizza places, the toppings are always generous and you can't beat their prices. In addition, their chicken is always crispy, juicy and just plain delicious. We're much closer to the KFC in Pearl River, but would never choose that over Chicken Delight! Lastly, the staff is always super friendly! I've been a fan since my childhood and will continue to be. read more

PIZZA!! Who knew??? Everyone knows that the chicken is amazing but the pizza! It's the best around! Imagine that....so many pizza joints in the area and the chicken place wins! Honestly, it's a really great pizza! read more

Okay.. so i work nearby. The crew in our warehouse LOVE this place. They order at least 2x a month when pockets allow..but if it was up to them it'd be a weekly ritual. Little greasy but not so much it's offensive. I ordered for home one night.... it was inhaled. My bd and I don't even remember eating just the feeling of being full and happy. Servings are enough for 2 nights. Chicken, ribs, onion rings (those didn't last the ride home). Bottom line its one of my fav spots. Recommended highly. read more

Love this chicken. It does my heart good to see young workers with good attitudes as the staff is always friendly and helpful.

UPDATE: Before I said the pizza is ok but now it's actually really good. My go to place to get pizza and chicken for the family.

Sorry.... AWFUL HERE. Will never go back. I ordered delivery. 6 Chicken nuggets for my little guy (2 yrs old) and 6 tenders for my older son (12 yr old) Some fries as well. I asked for some honey mustard and ranch dipping sauce with my order. They gave me a tub of each and charged me $2.25 each! Delivery took 50 minutes, even though I'm down the street. The nuggets weren't even nuggets. Little baby pieces. And the WORST PART... They were pink inside them. Look at the pictures! Thank god I didn't feed them to my son. But how are you going to overcharge me for a huge cup of sauce? I called to ask about why I was given so much sauce and charged for it. Guy stated that it was a mistake. I told him about the nuggets being pink inside and asked why. Just a sorry and that they shouldn't be. Got a credit but honestly don't want to return. Yuck. read more

I love the chicken here. The fries are not the best, and the wings are ok. Not bad for NJ FOOD.

Flavor of the skin/fry is just right. Unique and different from chain restaurants. I had to wait bit longer than expected, but it was dinner time so understandable. Chicken is juicy and cooked just right. Also ordered a small size of ribs which was okay but nothing to write home about. I will be back if I'm in that area. read more

The minute I tried the chicken it was crispy, fried, juicy, and delicious. The fries were amazing because they were crinkle cut. The lunch specials are the biggest deal because they are $3.99 and come with a can of soda. Also, everything is cheap on the menu. Overall, best value and best chicken place ever. read more

Amazing! Great affordable food! The wings come right off the bone so easily, and taste so good as leftovers too! The ranch is remarkable! And the pizza is great and affordable too! Don't eat tonight call chicken delight! read more

I like the Salty Dark Meat & Cheesy Pizza ! Bad for me but good for the doctors . Give it a try you can't afford not to.

Ok Ok i did not think i would be yelping chicken delight, but you know they were worth it. This was our first time ordering, people in town had told me it was a staple for years serving pizza to the kids sports teams they sponsored.. we ordered, fried chicken, ribs and pizza... a nice trifecta for a football game... and all were great ... in fact the simple cheese pizza was one of the best we've tried in town and the coleslaw was excellent! the chicken is a old south batter based style which we prefer over kfc style. anyway, why the review..well, customer service...our pizza was partially smooshed on one side ... not any worse from the other places in town, but a smoosh... the delivery boy, apparently recongnizing the problem called in a replacement before he came to the door, he was very polite and apologetic and told us a new pizza was on the way ... so many times its left to the person ordering to deal with problem ... it was real great they wanted us to have a good experience and promptly returned with the replacement Well chicken delight who i never thought i'd be writing yelp reviews ... you now have your newest weekly customer .... give them a try ... its worth it ... cant go wrong with good pizza, chicken and ribs from one place! read more

The chicken here is the best around, bar none, period, end of story. They also sell pizza as well which is cheap and great if you eat it right away while it's hot. Wings are small but very tasty. Onion rings are amazing here. Try their homemade blue cheese and honey mustard sauces - you can dip a sneaker in them and you'll be satisfied. Literally my only complaint (and its hard to be so picky about this) is that it takes them forever to get your food out. I know, I know, this is the price of good, fresh food, but damn, 4 piece order and you can wait half hour sometimes. Overall though, well worth the wait! read more

Pizza Delight?? Chicken Delight?? Same place for us townies and the terms are interchangeable. Yes, chicken is their first love and it's something they've been doing ever since I can remember. Pizza came along well after that, but both are amazing experiences. There's a KFC right down the road but nothing pales in comaprison to this place. The pizza is pretty good but there are other places around that do better....and it does pain me to say that. Their menus is pretty extensive so there's something for the whole family...they even do fish! The prices are reasonable and the sides are indeed a bit pricey but don't let any of that steer you away. Parking is a bit of a pain since it's on street so many people opt for delivery. There is a commuter lot behind it which tends to get full because of Cornerstone. No matter what you do, make sure you get corn nuggets!!!! I don't think that they would be where they are for so long if they didn't know what they were doing! read more

Haven't been back to this place. Only wanted to update my mention of another pizza place up the street. It's been transformed into a completely new business and no longer sad nor weird. As you were. read more

Always a good quick relatively cheap meal. I've tried other fried chicken places in the area and nothing compares. Chicken is always moist. They'll even do skinless if you ask. The pizza is decent too read more

This place has the best pizza delivery around and awesome clucking fried chicken! Super fast delivery and kind staff, definitely recommend.

There really isn't a better fried chicken place in the area. It's a little too greasy, but that's perhaps what makes it fantastic. The pizza is ok at best. Then again, there aren't too many places where you can order a pizza and fried chicken, so as long as you're getting the chicken the pizza isn't bad. The batter fried chicken is tasty and crispy while the meat is tender and juicy. Once you're full it's still tempting to peel skin off the leftover pieces and just finish it off. I highly recommend a side order of onion rings. The only onion in them is in the name, but it's enough for me. At the end of the day, can you really go wrong with some greasy fried chicken? I didn't think so. read more

Best fried chicken in the universe! Delicious seasoning and fried crispy and golden brown...juicy on the inside. Not healthy but so so so tasty! Their pizza is really good to and they are super inexpensive for take out. Don't cook tonight call chicken delight! read more

Came here after reading the great reviews. Ordered 8 piece buffalo wings, 8 chicken tenders, 1/2 clam strips and cole slaw. The wings were tiny and soggy. Chicken tenders were...bleh. Clam strips just tasted like breading...cole slaw was pretty decent considering everything was... bleh. Maybe i shouldve gotten fried chicken... but pretty disappointed with this place. read more

Chicken Delight - Bf thought clam strips were the best. Wings are no bueno! - Pizza Near Me - Hillsdale, New Jersey

I'm shocked and amazed that they were able to get our Christmas Eve order right: two 13-piece chicken meals plus 16 breasts and 5 wings or something like that, with a bucket of fries and a container of cole slaw. (Our family isn't really that big -- we just loves us some Chicken Delight.) The chicken here might be greasy as hell, but the batter-fried pieces are a lot better than anything KFC has to offer. Chicken Delight's pieces are actually large enough to feed an adult human, and they look like they came from an actual chicken. Even better, they're tender and juicy, even as leftovers the next day (or the day after that). The people who work here are really cheerful and courteous, and they didn't even bat an eye at my wingnut order when I picked it up. This place is a tradition in my family, and it's no exaggeration to say that a riot might have broken out if we didn't have Chicken Delight on Christmas Eve. read more

My mom has been ordering pizza & chicken (with coupons!) from here forever. Pizza is pretty good, greasy!! My family loves the chicken. Some of the same people have worked there forever. One recognizes me every time I come in, even if it's been years! Looks the same as always, which is actually kinda cute, old school and comforting. Oh, and! I would rather give my business here than KFC that opened just down the street : P read more

The MOST AMAZING fried chicken and fries. Love everything. Call in your order on your way to hills dale and make sure you are able to dig in as soon as possible because that amazing chicken delight smell will tempt you every mile and turn you take. This should actually be called "Chicken Delight" because the main food is Chicken and then Pizza happens to also be made there. If you are going to have fried chicken and you are in the area, this place cannot be beat. A#1 chicken. The fact that you can also get good pizza here is a bonus. The prices of the meals are really good. The cost of the sides however are a bit pricey when ordered as extra. Make sure you have soda at home. Delivery is the problem with this place as everyone orders from them so pickup is much quicker! Always friendly and helpful on the phone or counter. read more

Try the pizza, yum. We don't really ever order chicken, have a few times, not bad, but what we do order is their pizza. 8.99 for a large pie, and seriously my kids absolutely love it. Try their pizza...delicious. Their clam strips are a-ok too! read more

Like all the other reviews say, it should be called Chicken Delight. However, they do have ribs which are actually quite good, but once again the chicken is where it is at. The reason that I am giving this 4 stars is because this place causes me to gain a lot of weight :) (just kidding). read more

Fried chicken delivery is not all that common now a days so we order from this place once or twice a month. Chicken is pretty good and their sides are good also. When calling you just double check order sometimes they get a little confused. Prices are good and this just makes for a nice night at home with family. read more

Chicken was super salty, and my mouth and stomach are in so much pain. Avoid like the plague. Chicken and rib crib is way better

Just an okay pizza and lackluster chicken. They have been in Hillsdale for a long time and I see a lot of people going there but I did not enjoy the food. For Pizza I would rather visit Broadway Pizza, Ray's Pizza or Cousin's Pizza read more
