Dusty was a very great server, Josh was a very good helper, and the food was absolutely amazing!

We really enjoy the steak salad and pizza. Errol at the bar always gives us great service. We continue to go there almost every week.

Visited with my parents from out of town. The lot looked full, and being about 7 pm on a Friday, we anticipated a long wait, but the space inside is big, and we were seated immediately. Our server Micaela was helpful answering questions and sold me on the Cornbread Crusted Trout special. My parents had soups and appetizers as they weren't terribly hungry. The soups were good (Tomato Basil and a Chicken and Veggies soup), but one of the soups was served below serving temperature - warm enough to eat, but not to serving standards. The Bruschetta received mixed reviews - I thought it was great, and while my mother thought it was good, she wasn't impressed. My Trout Special was also good, but not great - I'd say it was slightly overcooked and was little dry, it could have used either more seasoning or more of the herb vinaigrette sauce that was dotted around the edge of the plate. I had the Smoked Old Fashioned, which was pretty good, the margarita was a disappointment. All told - Good - better than ok, but not great. Worth going to if nearby, but not worth going out of your way for. read more

The reason for the 5 stars was because of the hostess. She helped squeeze me into a spot since we didn't have a reservation, and that was a pretty awesome move of her and worked out well for me. I don't have good pictures to share but this food was really good! I got chicken parmigiana and it was awesome! Our waitress was incredible and took very good care of us and was thoughtful. The bread board was amazing as well. Also, Salt City Hefeweizen! Who knew?! It scratched the itch. read more

Our waiter was great but the hostess with black hair was extremely passive aggressive. One person couldn't come to our reservation making it 5 instead of 6 and we told her this when we came in. When the rest of our party got there, she went out of her way to come to our table, ask about it again, then rudely says "well thanks for letting me know" and walked off.... On top of that, she had another group with her and made them wait while she scolded us. So unprofessional. I was really hoping the food would save the experience but it was not good, especially for the price!! My serving was smaller than my hand, the chicken was dry as a bone, and it was missing one of the sides it was supposed to come with. I actually had to send it back! This place has really stepped it up since my last visit 4+ years ago. Service has gotten a lot better. The food has been prepared with more skill and presentation. Went with my brother in law after watching the new Star Wars and were famished so this was a great option. Nothing negative to say about this place, except for our waiter saying someone would come and box up the leftovers when all they did was just bring us boxes. For sure will return. read more

Great ambiance and amazing food! Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was good for us. Their meals are the perfect size and have amazing flavor. I tried the chicken Marsala because it's a popular dish and it did not disappoint!! I loved the mashed potatoes and creamy sauce in that dish! They serve bread with herb butter before the meal and we had to force ourselves to stop eating it because it's so good! They also have great cheesecake. I would definitely recommend for special occasions or a date night. read more

Perfect work lunch! I've had my eye on Toscano for a while and finally made it in for the lunch hour. I didn't know how busy things would be on a weekday 11:30-13:00, so I made a reservation. This was absolutely unnecessary, though there may be certain days of the week or times of the year that you would want a reservation. The ambience is perfect for a nice business lunch, and the background music was unobtrusive. Food was exceptional. For our appetizer, we had the Mediterranean dips, which come with a fantastic flatbread. My colleagues got the chicken cacciatore and the house-made fettuccine. They both enjoyed their meals. I had the gnocchi with pesto and grilled salmon. I liked the contrast between the sauce and the crispiness on the gnocchi and salmon. We didn't get a chance to enjoy dessert, but everything looked delicious. The menu is extensive, so ask for a recommendation if you are feeling overwhelmed by the choices. This used to be one of my very favorite restaurants. I wish I would have thought to take pictures. I'm not sure what has happened, haven't been there in about 3 years, everything we had was obviously left over from yesterday. Calamari was way over cooked. Terrible taste, our Parmesan chicken again was so crunchy it wasn't possible to eat. The waiter was kind and a gentleman. I won't be returning, such a disappointment. read more

We had reservation and arrived 15 min early. We were seated promptly but the 2 of us were given table for 4 near the kitchen even though it was generally empty. We were not offered menus, left with the scan card on table. I asked for traditional menu and it was provided, but drinks were not on there. Still had to scan for wine list. We passed on appetizers and went straight to order a traditional lasagna and Bolognese. NOTE: we have only eaten here once before and thought it was great. Same orders. Unfortunately this time my husband's lasagna arrived luke-warm at best and my Bolognese "fresh" pasta had and odd green hue. I tasted it and found no issue but couldn't get past the mold color. I flagged our waiter and inquired about it -- maybe basil or pesto involved. He simply agreed and I was more nervous. He said he'd check and came back said not herbs, just fresh pasta made all the time. He pushed back, and I disagreed (50 years of pasta eating never had green-gray hue) and asked to talk to whoever -- a nice woman approached same thing. It was obvious to the eye. She denied any problem, said they make it twice a week, and said it could be "oxidation." When I remained displeased she finally offered to remake it. My husband finished his entire dinner and I got a very different looking bowl of pasta. It was very good. I can honestly say in 15 years of marriage and lots of restaurant visits, this is only the 2nd time we've ever sent a plate back. The manager breezed by toward the end, but did not engage in any conversation. It felt like she rushed past knowing we'd had problem. There was no consideration given to the bill just shy of $70 for a poor experience. I'm so bummed this was going to be my go to sorta fancy but casual fun dining spot. Not now. read more

We visited this on a Friday night- had reservations in the bar (only available) for 630p. They got us right in- bonus- we didn't have to sit at the bar. They accommodated us in the main restaurant. The menu selections were MANY! Wine selection was great and reasonably priced. We ordered a bottle and the presentation was beautiful. Our server was knowledgeable on both the food and wine menu. Toscano's ambiance was perfect! I loved the architecture inside of the restaurant. It was so pretty. The Sicilian was probably the best spaghetti I've ever had! It had so much flavor to it! I loved the kick of spice it had. My only suggestion is their parking lot. We had to park not in the parking lot while it was snowy and my car got stuck trying to get out of there because of the snow/mud. Luckily, my coworkers were there to help me push it out. Three of us went to Toscano. I had quattro fromaggio Pizza, my wife had salmon, a third person had 8 oz filet mignon. The pizza ($16) was huge, enough for two people. All three food items were satisfying. No complaints. I also had a side Ceasar salad ($7). In addition, we had a bottle of (750 ml) Pellegrino, a glass of wine ($11), a nice serving, and a glass of beer. The total tab was $137,00 without a tip. The filet was on the expensive side at $48 One glitch: bread and butter. Plentiful, but nothing special. Bread should be crisper and not just run-of-the-mill. Also, butter could be spruced up. read more

We had lunch at Toscano today. The place is really pretty and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was not very good and was way over priced. The chicken tasted like it had been made days before and reheated. It was served with mashed potatoes rather than pasta. I thought that was strange gif an Italian restaurant. The lasagna was nice but had almost no pasta. The spaghetti sauce on the order of spaghetti had a very strange flavor. I hope to write this with restaurants struggling but it just was not good. read more

My husband and I aren't local to the area (staying nearby for a week as we pass through) and we were looking for a spot to do a date night. We spotted this restaurant and decided to give it a shot (calling ahead to make reservations). When we arrived we were seated right away and the waiter (Jackson) came to our table promptly. Jackson was super friendly, attentive and personable (which we appreciated). We ordered drinks, an appetizer (OMG their Bruschetta was so good), house side salads (equally yummy) our entrees, and a dessert (the Tiramisu gelato, topped with a shot of espresso, whipped cream, garnished with fresh ground coffee beans and a Frangelico floater.). Can you say chef's kiss? We do have a favorite Italian restaurant (a gentleman from Italy which is pretty hard to beat, hence the four star) but this was definitely a great spot to dine. While they didn't require masks (thank goodness) they sat us with reasonable distancing from other tables (for those that might be worried - which we weren't). The atmosphere was really cool and decorated nicely. ONLY con was that it took them a bit to buss our table. We simply stacked the dishes on the adjoining table (which wasn't really a big deal at all). Overall, we had a great experience and it was a nice evening out for us weary road warriors. read more

Came here for my birthday and loved it ! For fair warning, it's gets really busy, so call ahead and get your reservation; if not, don't plan on walking in, cause you probably won't get in. The prices are average I feel like when it comes to Italian food. You get complimentary sourdough bread with butter while you wait. The ravioli with steak and seafood pasta were both great, but you'll need to order an appetizer if you want to be full. Service was nice, but it does get really busy so it's hard for them to be attentive to all their guests. The dessert was my favorite ! I came here for the first time a couple days ago. We made a reservation through OpenTable. We were seated right away. Unfortunately they are still doing QR code menu. I hate looking at menus with my phone. I heard great things about the meatballs so I ordered it as my meal. They were really good. I would order them again. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and said it lacked flavor. We also tried the tiramisu. It was a table favorite and everyone loved it! I found the prices were very pricey! We tried this place on a whim and it ended up being a nice surprise. It's an Italian restaurant and their menu is quite varied. We came just within an hour before closing so we skipped the appetizer. The scenery is very nice here and they also have outdoor seating but we ended up eating inside the restaurant. I ordered the Fettucini Di Mare, it's a pasta dish with mussels, shrimp, clams and Lobster Cream Sauce. The mussels had amazing flavor and unexpected since Salt Lake City isn't that close to the ocean. The dish was presented well and all the flavors really came together well. The shrimp seemed to be domestic and had great flavor. The service was really great during our visit. I will definitely look up this place if I go to the Salt Lake City area again. The only bummer is that they close already at 9 PM on weekdays. read more

I absolutely love the food in this place. I wish that I could give them a better review. I just watched two people (maybe the owners)? walk into the kitchen with no mask on. They talked to the staff and went into the kitchen while not having one on. Also, they walked around the restaurant without one while people are eating. It was extremely unprofessional, especially because there is a MANDATE to be wearing masks. Disappointed that the owners cannot take a pandemic seriously while their employees try so hard to upkeep the mandate. How frustrating it must be for the employees.
