First time here. I don't really know if I'm running to come back. Service was great! Hands down. Super friendly and attentive. Wouldn't change them the omelette chef was really funny. But the food ....ok so it wasn't so much how it tasted but the presentation was hard on the eyes. The area that held the food was pretty dark. The scrambled eggs were cooked hard (almost brown) and the eggs Benedict was cold. We couldn't really tell what was wrong with the mozzarella sticks but they weren't really tasty. The French toast was over cooked (burnt) which really disappointed us. I really like the eggplant parmigiana, my made to order omelette, the drinks and the home fries. Honestly the setup was just cheap looking. I was really looking forward to the visit but when I got to the top I was like wth. We were in a tent (not a problem) but the tent wasn't hooked all the way around and it was blowing into our table. Just was expecting something well kept and put together. read more

Came here in for their brunch everlasting (all you can eat all you can drink), which is delicious usually hosted at the Cafe next door which I found out is closed for renovations. Made a reservation for 2 and our table was waiting (they have 2 time slots 11:30-1:30 and 2-4, we chose the latter). The Marquee is STUNNING inside and the staff is super duper courteous. Married on sept 27th 2015, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Tosca Marquee. I worked closely with Dawn and Emir and everything came out beautiful ! We had 130 guests attend and dawn made sure everything was set up prior to the ceremony and everyone was on point. Emir took over for the reception. Pros- one stop shop, I didn't have to go back and forth with different venues or churches to get what I wanted. They communicated very well about timing and making a schedule on what was to happen at what time and they helped me stick to it all. Loved having the ceremony downstairs, cocktail hour upstairs and reception back downstairs Decor is very modern and beautiful. The lighting was great and the ceremony was perfect. Everything is pretty spacious Food!! Everyone still tells me how great the food was and the amount of food given ! A lot of people thought the cocktail hour was it and were so full by the time the reception started...that's how much food was given ! Staff members were very attentive to my guest but especially to my husband and I.. which I appreciated because we paid for it all lol Loved that they have a bathroom for wheelchair bound/elderly people at the reception hall. My husbands 2 grandmothers attended and would not be able to walk down the stairs to the regular bathroom. I was able to bring all my items in storage bins 2 days before the wedding and kept it in a closet. I just had to label everything. I had 1 bin for my items. One for decor and one for favors. I loved that because it took away from my worries the day of. All I had to bring was my dress and veil on the day of. I was able to show up at 11, get my makeup done, get ready take my pics and relax before my 3pm ceremony. Also, everything was exactly how I wanted it! Valet parking was a big pro for my family and guest! Personalization- they cater to any personalized detail you would like! Just make sure you bring the items and they make it happen Cons- Stairs are very slippery ! Our best man and my mother in law both slipped down the stairs. No service or wifi in the bridal suite. Had to make calls to family who were running late and could not do that without going upstairs. I did not want my husband to see me so I could not make the calls. I had to send my maid of honor or my mom upstairs to make calls for me. The biggest con for me was the communication with vendors. I used Alex for floral/centerpieces, Contis for cake and the minister all recommended by them. They all did a great job...The minister was on point with everything & was fantastic! You can tell she has been working with them for many years. With Alex, I feel he did a great job but communication between Tosca and alex made me feel like a middle man. I wish they would set up a meeting a month prior to finalize details with vendors and myself just to make sure everyone is on the same page verses me relaying messages. Contis was very good as well but again, communication...The cake was great and the delivery was on time. My issue came from tosca. I told them we would have a 3 tier cake and also a sheet cake delivered. But Apparently no one knew about the sheet cake the day of... it looked like another box they use for mini cheese cakes. Many of my guest complained that they did not have cake So at the end of the night I asked Emir if he knew why that was when we had a extra sheet cake that should have served more then enough people. He told me they didn't serve it and were not aware. So I had to come back the next day to pick up the huge sheet cake and serve it to my family. That would have been avoided if they would have a finalized meeting about timeline and details with both myself and the vendors. Even vendors not recommended by them... our dj, photographers and videographers were family friends who did not speak much English. I tried to set up meetings with all of them but toscas time never worked so I had to come and show them around and translate everything that was going to happen...but of course, there were things I could not answer like the sound system details and dj set up. Luckily one of the videographers spoke English and they were all able to communicate and translate the day of. Everything worked out for the day but just a few things to keep in mind to communicate with them about if you are planning to have your wedding here. Our day still was pretty great! read more

Yum!! So good...food was early which I loved. I ordered the baked ziti they make it different than most because the put the ricotta cheese right on top of the pasta. I also ordered the special steak it was made perfectly. It came with roasted potatoes, carrots, string beans and creamed spinach on the side. Planned on trying the Tosca Cafe but since it seems to be permanently closed tried the Marquee. Place was nearly empty today, of course it was close to 2pm for a late lunch. Enjoyed the ambiance on the rooftop. Service was good, they were on top of everything. No issues there. Had the lunch special of Caesar salad, half chicken parmigiana sandwich followed by a cannoli and coffee. Salad came out quickly, not overly drenched in dressing. It was good, but not great, but it is only a salad. The chicken parmigiana was tasty, not over cooked. Not chewy at all, overall tasted very good. Finished off the meal with a mini cannoli and coffee. They hit the spot. Both had a rich flavor and tasted great. I am now curious to check it out at night from a roof top perspective. I've ordered food from here maybe 3-4 times for delivery. The food usually comes around an hour after placing the order and I've tried many items on be menu but they're all sub par. The last time I ordered food, I got the gluten free pizza and gluten free eggplant parm. The pizza was dry as hell and the eggplant parm was a whopping $16.95 for a tiny portion of sad looking half cooked eggplant in cold tomato sauce and cheese partially melted on top and a side of bread. Just had my wedding at Tosca Marquee in July 2017. I had the ceremony in the rooftop garden and the reception in the gallery. When working with Dawn, I thought that I'd have all my future parties here - not sure that's the case anymore. The room was set up beautifully - I just needed to bring flowers and a back drop. I added a few touches such as menus and gold sequence covers for the sweetheart table but it would have been just as perfect without it. The line staff, maitre-d, servers and bartenders were incredible. I want to leave the place five stars but two items left me thinking that management was not prepared for a small wedding with 70 guests. 1. The wedding planner I worked with for months was not there and nobody acknowledged the fact.. It was stressful to know that the team did not have a full understanding of the "plan". Horrible decision by management not to connect with me to advise that they needed to go over the schedule - instead they played it by ear. 2. The isle runner was not ready and they did not have scissors to cut it, therefore guests sat waiting as the song replayed awkwardly. The tent made the rooftop extremely hot and they did not turn on the fans which were just sitting there (lack of time as they were running late with set up?). Food was delicious, 1 bartender for 70 people and the drinks were all heavenly. I cannot say enough about the staff that made sure I was happy even when the management team dropped the ball. They could use a few more palm trees though on the rooftop to block the satellite dishes and utility poles in plain site, but the rooftop space is awesome too. We had our wedding on March 31, 2017 and we had a great time. Our contact person, Dawn worked with us and made sure everything was in place from beginning to end. The room was decorated as we requested but the only thing we were not satisfied was that the loft upstairs was freezing and wasn't heated upstairs. We were told it would be heated in inclement weather and we were not notified that day. That should be adjusted on an as needed basis. Overall the food and dessert bar was very good and the attendants were very efficient. I would recommend Tosca for an event venue. read more

Elegant and affordable for a wedding.

Married at Tosca Marquee 6/18/16, Ceremony upstairs and reception downstairs in their Gallery room for 70 of my guests. The venue was highly recommended by my Fiancé family and a girlfriend that held her wedding reception there. Tosca was one of the few venues that would accommodate a min50+ guest count wedding. First impressions of the venue, small yet modern with GOOD food and knowledgeable management. I originally started working with Dawn but Emir and Samantha did help me throughout the process, always friendly and available to answer any questions. Samantha became my go-to manager towards the end. From the day we signed the contract until the morning of my wedding, Tosca managers came across as efficient. I didn't hire a wedding planner. The 'planner in me' wanted to take on the decorating task. After months of research I knew what I wanted. I did hire help for some of the décor (ceremony backdrop and specialty linens). I was told, my vendors would be able to come earlier in the day for set-up since there were no events prior to my wedding, which started at 6pm. I dropped off two boxes the night prior to the wedding, containing decorations. From the entrance picture, to lanterns, to menu cards ects. Samantha reassured me everything will be taken care off as long as everything was labeled, which it was. I even included a spreadsheet with details of all the wedding décor/vendors. I had two issues the day of my wedding, which left a bad experience. First disappointment, I walk in 40mins prior to my wedding and NONE of the ceremony and entrance décor handed to Samantha was in place. Samantha seemed overwhelmed, handling her staff and the decor task. I couldn't understand why things were being put in place Half hour prior to the event, especially since there was no event prior to mine. To my surprise a lot of my guests were on time, so many got to see the unfinished/chaos in the entrance and the ceremony. What made it worse was that my other vendors were also setting up. I expected everything to be set an hr prior to the event but wishful thinking? My fault for not emphasizing this? My second and biggest disappointment was the cocktail hour, it was a fail. My guests had no sense of direction; there was no management on site to prevent my guests from coming downstairs. The hors d'oeuvre were to be served butler style, I was later told there wasn't enough food. There were only two waiters passing around 5 pieces of hors d'oeuvre at a time and one bartender for 70 guests! This wasn't what I was pictured. Throughout the night it was clear, they were understaff. I didn't get the feeling they were on top of things or of me. The few times I needed a staff member I had to go on a search. What's the point of administrative and bridal assistant fees? I believe they underestimate the needs of a small wedding. Dinner was excellent, good portions. Over all I wouldn't recommend Tosca due to their lack of management and staff on my wedding day. It certainly made them look unprofessional. They failed me, I trusted in them and did not hire a planner thinking they would be able to handle my event, sadly they didn't. read more

Let me begin by saying that from the moment we stepped foot at Tosca exactly a year ago today we were treated like royalty. Emir the Banquet Manager was beyond friendly and courteous. E definitely made my journey for the year that much more smoother and less stressful. From helping to choose linens to lighting to food tasting and of course the actual day I was treated like a true Princess. I actually thought I wrote this review a long time ago. Anyway, I got married at Tosca Marquee a couple of summers ago. The venue is very nice. It's elegant with an urban vibe. The rooftop garden gives it a cool NYC type of feeling. Overall, the service was good. Unfortunately, one of the people who worked there was extremely unpleasant. I tried to avoid speaking with her at all costs. Everyone else was helpful and pleasant. What was amazing was the food. They have hired the most talented chef. Honestly, you would think that you were at a five star restaurant. My husband and I booked our wedding shortly after the venue opened. We got a pretty good deal. I would definitely recommend having a wedding or other event there. read more

I went to Tosca for my baby shower party, I wanted my baby shower to be elegant and classy and I did not want to worry about family members cooking food or having a huge chair I would not like to seat on anyway -. - (I was far from a regular pregnant women and yes I wanted to throw myself a baby shower because I am that much of a perfectionist ) lol don't judge me! Anyway, I searched a few places and then was referred by a co-worker to look into Tosca Marquee. The pictures on their website were beautiful which made me call and book an appointment to come in to see for myself, I instantly fell in L-O-V-E!!! Let me mention that the price- yes is a bit expensive but if you really analyze what you are getting you wouldn't think twice... I was offer catering, any color choice of table cloth and table napkins (they did not have to be the same color) cake table, gift table, a bar with a bartender, and the centerpieces (they have a few choices), let's not forget the endless amount of service from waiters and waitresses on top of the event planner making sure everything is going as plan. The best part of this experience was that I was not at all exhausted or stress, I was more pleased that everything went as planned, my family and friends were impress and were having such a good time. My baby shower was one of the best experiences I ever had and Tosca helped me make it that much special. She kept exceeding my expectations by being in constant communication overseeing every detail on the day of and even writing our seating cards. The staff was also professional and very friendly. Absolute worst brunch ever. We arrived on time and was seated on time, however the food was buffet style which was not great. The food was cold and everything was nearly empty. We asked for them to bring out more bacon and chicken and we waited a while. We also got unlimited drinks which we waited a long time to get refills. Also the seating was outside on the rooftop and enclosed with tents that was still flooding by our tables. The dessert selection was only cookies and six muffins. I will never be attending brunch here again. Save your money and go somewhere else because you will be dissapointed. read more

Dawn was at my wedding & helped keep things on schedule. Our plates were served for dinner as well. Cons-The food was amazing. However, some guest complained that the food was cold & some didn't even eat.I mentioned it to one of the waitresses. During the cocktail hour, our bridal party was downstairs taking pictures. The bridal suite was prepared with refreshments, however, we didn't get to have any of the h'orderves that were being served upstairs. Drinks were served but only 3 small plates were brought down for almost 20 people. My husband & I didnt even taste the food we selected for cocktail hour. We also only had 1 waitress downstairs for us, which was probably the reason we only received drinks & not H'orderves. No elevators, which you should consider if you have any elderly guest (that was something i didn't think of when booking the venue). Two grandmothers had a very hard time getting to the roof top and coming down. If you're having a buffet style dinner, make sure the wait staff is letting guest know when it's time for desert & coffee as well. Hardly anyone knew coffee when it was served towards the end of the night. I also didn't know we had a great cheese spread, which I also didn't get to enjoy. There was 1 bartender the entire night for 92 guest. During cocktail hour, some guest waited a long time to get drinks and many times during the reception, long lines were formed at the bar. We just celebrated my daughter's Sweet 16 on Friday, July 1, 2016. I must say that it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Our go to person was Dawn and she was involved with the set-up the night before and present the whole time of the event. Very hands on and efficient. Never lost her patience despite the many changes we made right up until the day before the event. My daughter could not have been happier and all of my guests were happy and complimentary. We were able to set up super early the night before the event which eased my mind. It is a few days later and I haven't heard anything negative from anyone. It fit 150 people there comfortably with an inflatable photo booth, djay with lots of equipment and two buffet set ups. I thought it would look crowded but worked out perfectly. The person who made and delivered my cake immediately sent me a text to let me know how impressed she was with Tosca's because they offered her food and drinks while she set up. There are a lot of stairs leading to the roof-top but they have a chairlift for those unable to climb like my grandmother did. Will definitely work with them again. Everything was PERFECT! My family and I threw my father a surprise, 80th birthday party brunch on the rooftop on May 19th, his actual birthday. The weather was perfect. The food was delicious. I had my Baby Shower at The Gallery, and loved it. It is very modern and updated. We had the Brunch Buffet and it was delicious, they were very cheap with the steak though, once it was done they didn't bring back more, which was a bummer because it was so good. Everything else they would keep replacing. They had a huge selection of food - hot and cold dishes, an omelette station, good drinks , snacks and desserts for all my guest, about 80. They provided all the linens, centerpieces, and lighting. They had a dock to connect your iPod for music. The staff were amazing and friendly, they always made sure the tables were clean. I had my very first Skincare Launch on 11/30 and EVERYTHINGGGG turned out perfect!! I was extremely stressed, nervous and overwhelmed BUT Tammi Devito the Event Coordinator made sure everything went smooth!! Matthew the engineer, what a sweetheart he is! He checked in to make sure everything was going good. Thank you to the chefs for the DELCIOUSSSSSSS appetizers! And holyyyyyyyyyyy Sangria!!! That must have been the best Sangria that I ever had!! I had my wedding at Tosca on 9/6/14. I had both the ceremony and reception at the venue. Everything turned out beautifully. The bridal suite was prepared nicely for myself and my MOHs and they even allowed me to arrive way before the wedding was due to start. Emir and Dominic were as helpful as they could possibly be. The reception looked exactly the way I had imagined it, perfect lighting. Volume on the speakers was awesome, they have a great sound system. The food is the best thing of it all. It is absolutely delicious. The filet mignon is sooooo, sooooo good. Not enough words to describe it. Our guests still rave about the food and about how beautifully everything was set up. Cocktail hour too was so awesome...so much food and just a good vibe all around. We had the platinum menu so we even got a vianesse table with so many goodies. They made my day an unbelievable one. Reason they don't get 5 stars is because they forgot to put out my wedding favors. I had gotten Baked By Melissa wedding cupcakes for my guests and when I realized they weren't out, many guests had left already and then the staff started putting them out 10 mins before my wedding was over. This really pissed me off, but mistakes happen, so I got over it pretty quickly and the guests that did get a favor were lucky since there were so many left over, many guests got to take extras home. Where do I begin...My family and I went for Easter brunch. Almost a half hour seated with no table set up. I've been in this business half of my life. All your tables should be set before sat. If you're expecting 150 people why are you unprepared with food. You should of had full trays of each dish being served not two halves. We had to wait almost 10 minutes before the food was replenished. Also, I was told upon booking is was $31.95 then charged more, only a few dollars but still it's the principle. For 2018, we decided to go with Tosca Marquee for this year's annual holiday party (we did not have one in 2017). The food was excellent, the place is large and can easily accommodate 200 guests. The dance floor is large enough that everyone can enjoy the party. The tall ceilings and colorful lighting really gives the place a grand ballroom appearance. The staff was helpful, responsive and enjoyed working with us as much as we enjoyed working with them. This is definitely a great place for your next holiday party. I was so excited to try out Tosca after I saw the layout of the establishement. Its such a great environment for a girl's night out and yet also for a romantic date. In the summer time, you can actually sit outside and enjoy the summer breeze. The food was delicious but even better than the food was the service! My waiter was so hands on and even asked me about my wine selection and if I wanted to try a drier kind of wine. I would so recommend this place for a wedding or special event as they do cater and again, the place is just so gorgeous. Definitely 2 thumbs up! read more
