The search started when my wife contacted several companies for our wedding shower (The Decor Stop was #5 on list). Mala was the first (the other 4 didn't bother responding) to return our call and right away, we knew we were dealing with a professional. Mala took the time to know exactly what we wanted so she can create an unforgettable event. She was engaging and pleasant to speak with. She even called throughout the planning process to check how we were doing overall and offering any other help we might need. Discussions over phone, emails, texts, pics, videos were all part of the planning. Even with all that info, Mala needed to physically see the space so she would have a better feeling for what she could offer and boy did she deliver! The place was absolutely stunning! My wife has a talent for decoration and planning but even she was so blown away. Mala and her team worked with Tracey seamlessly, implementing her creative touches. I paid for unlimited prints and their printer machine did not work. For the majority of the event, my guests did not receive photos. Towards the end, the gentleman decided that it would be a nice gesture to send me a print of all of my photos. A month later, I never received anything. I did reach out a few times, and there was usually one or another excuse. A month later I gave up and confronted the issue, and she was extremely defensive. Overall, it seemed like both of the partners in the business who happens to be husband and wife did not have good communication with each other. One of my guests recently wrote a review because we also noticed she was using minor children's photos as advertisement and requested that they be removed. I noticed that review has been removed. I actually had to go through yelp Legal to get the private events photos removed. Needless to say, I ended up not getting my photos at all, and I noticed that she removed the link to my photos as well. Thankfully I had saved them all individually. She actually tried to tell me that unlimited prints meant that I can go on the link and print them on my own. I had to remind her that she was not my only photo booth experience. A very distasteful experience. At one point, they may have been good, however, I would avoid in the future. Hopefully yelp allows for us to post communication screenshots. So here it is the shots...I scratched out portions are personal information so I wouldn't want to publicize that. Basically, the day after my event, she said she would mail them out. I followed up with her a couple of times throughout the month. Eventually, she said she didn't get a chance, but she will do so. I gave it another week to follow up eventually confronting that it's been a month. And as you can see the response was extremely defensive, justifying the actions with personal issues that are going on... Eventually trying to explain that unlimited prints mean that we can have the link. Like I said, please avoid. Or at least make very clear the terms of the contract and what they mean. I would also put in a clause to not use personal photos for advertisement without permission unless you want to end up dealing with the legal request I had to make. Please avoid. Hopefully Yelp allows the review to stay because it would be irresponsible to not let potential customers see the "other side"...
