Hey y'all!! While I love doing full reviews, y'all know, I keep it very honest. Unfortunately this place deserves a two out of five. I ordered a torta last night and unfortunately for the cost of $15 and they said that they will charge us five dollars extra if we got more meat well the thing is we barely got any meat at all completely ripped off. I don't mind paying for food because I love doing reviews and I also like trying all kinds of food. However, this was crazy. I attach the photos below so that you can kind of see what I mean .. I'm from Chicago so I love tortas . They are so good. We barely got any type of MEAT, so it was extremely dry and hard to chew the sandwich. They gave us two sauce packets that's it. The beans were cool seems like basic can beans I think the stars may be coming from the tacos and not the torta lol The size of the tortoise is actually really great. It's just one side of your sandwich will have meat and the other side won't.. Service was good. The problem was just the quality of the food. read more

Found this place while I was passing through with my husband for work and man did this place hit the spot!! We got in pretty late and thankfully this place was walking distance from our hotel. I got the street tacos with pastor and they were exactly what I was craving!! I also got a melon agua fresca which was not only refreshing but just the right amount of sweetness. My husband tried the. grilled chicken torta and was in love. It was very filling and it fed him TWICE which is always a bonus. The workers were friendly and did a great job of answering any questions we had when ordering, even helping us make adjustments where needed. The wait wasn't that long the night we went in but I was informed by one of the workers that it can get kind of crazy some night so its always a safe bet to order online/call ahead since everything is made fresh. I also loved that there was a decent amount of seating inside. I do wished we lived closer but definitely can't wait to come back again the next time we are passing through!! read more

Honestly one of the best agua frescas I've ever had, I also had to get another drink to go. I tried the Torta Fresca and my husband tried the Cubana and it was so good. The bread was perfectly toasted and you can tell they just cooked the meat fresh. This is a go-to spot for sure. Will be back soon. read more

Biggest torta I've ever had!! At first I was a little bit confused as to why it was a little bit more than the usual torta price but when the kind lady brought it out it all made sense!! Torta was really big and safe to say I had a lot left. They also have these great authentic Mexican waters that definitely would recommend to get with your food of choice. I want to give this place 10 stars but that is not possible! It has been a very long time since I had such an authentically delicious meal in Texas. My husband ordered the Torta Capitalina, it was big enough for two. Very delicious. Just like the ones we have only had in Mexico city. I ordered an order of tacos de tripa, yummy, yummy, delicious just like the ones that I love to eat when I go to Mexico City also. And because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach I also ordered a Huarache de suadero... I cant even explain what that felt like in my mouth it was just so exquisite. Aguas Frescas are amazing!!!! I got the Mango agua fresca. The food was good but it was pricey. The lady at the counter got our order wrong twice. First my hubby wanted a pineapple burger. He got a burger with no pineapple. Then he ordered a Dr Pepper but got a coke instead. There is a young gentleman that speaks English who is nice and helpful but the ladies not so much, if you don't speak Spanish they can be rude even rolling their eyes as if the language barrier if your fault! I ordered a torta called Chilanga and it was super good. This restaurant is medium sized but it feels very cozy and you can see the cooks make the food in front of you. I saw that this restaurant scored a 100 on the food/ restaurant inspection. I am coming back to try the sopes and other different tortas. They also sell aguas frescas. The tortas were good but my issue is that they had a wait. I waited 40 mins for a torta combo and it was my first visit. They didn't give me my chips with my combo which they were supposed to. Other ppl where complaining about the wait and the person working said it's because they make their food fresh that if u go to a restaurant u would wait about the same time but I mean you're making sandwhiches. I mean common are u freaking making the bread too, no. No way it takes that long. I thought the torta tasted good but I mean it's a sand which you can't really mess up a sandwich. So would I go back and wait another 40 mins and not get my full order. Hell to the naaaaaaah (please insert long naaaaaaah for effect) lol. Why?
