Best BBQ we have had in a VERY long time, and certainly the best anywhere near us in greater SW Houston. The meats were juicy. smoky and seasoned incredibly well. We espercially liked the turkey and the pulled pork. Even the sides were awesome! We had the potato salad and baked beans. The staff were very patient and helpful for first time guests (like us). The restaurant itself was very clean, and wait staff cleaned tables very fast to keep the flow going. The prices were just right for quality BBQ. A regular plate of food was priced $20-$25, but you can get a small plate for $10-15 that's great for lunch. We will definitely be back! read more

Haven't been here since 2020, but i thought it was just okay this time. My favorite brisket in Houston is still from Pinkerton's. Prices have def gone up since 2020, but that's expected (prices are still reasonable). Seemed pretty busy with take-out orders, but i wouldn't go out of my way, honestly. MEAT PLATE WITH 2 SIDES ($32 because I added extra meat) - sliced brisket ($20)- dry. I could already tell by looking at it. On a positive note, it was lean and not fatty. - jalapeno sausage ($5)- good. Tad spicy. - added ribs ($7 for 2)- ok. Not fall off the bone. - buttered red potatoes- good - mac n cheese- good but not as good as I remembered. Small plate + 1 side ($9) - turkey + coleslaw For my mom. Coleslaw was good. I didn't try the turkey. Seemed like kind of a small portion for $9. Chopped brisket potato ($15) -dad enjoyed it. It was huge and lasted him 2 meals. Prob the best bang for ur buck read more

As the BBQ should be. Service and atmosphere: The staff were nice and polite. The restaurant was clean and organised. There were plants of parking spaces in front and behind the restaurant. Food: Delicious. The meats were juicy and succulent. Perfect seasoning on all cuts. I really liked the turkey and the brisket. I also highly recommend the buttered potato. So so good! Same goes for the coleslaw, tangy and well balanced. Went well with meats. I do like Truth BBQ but this one was on par. Pricing: $$/$ - the price depends on the size of your order. Regular plate of food was priced $20-$25. read more

Witt Pit BBQ & Catering - Barbeque Near Me - Rosenberg, Texas

I ordered the ribs and brisket, they're excellent. The sides dishes are also very good. The service was friendly. I will be back again soon.

Food was okay, Brisket was dry, ribs were good about a 6.5, boneless chicken thigh was about a 6, pulled pork was also okay. The Mac n cheese was an 8.5 and was delicious, potatoes were also great about an 8.5. The service was good and very attentive, the ambiance was nice with bbq atmosphere, the only thing was it had a very small area with tables inside so if you order food you'll have to wait for someone to get up in order for you to sit and eat there. Overall I give them a 6.5 or 7. read more

The food here is really good. A lot of people were coming in as I made my order. It's very delicious. The Mac and cheese was a bit thick. I had to add a little milk to make it creamy like they have had it. It still came out delicious. Enjoying my food. Ten stars. read more

Witt Pit BBQ & Catering - Bbq brisket sandwich verrrrryyyy DELICIOUSNESS!!!!! - Barbeque Near Me - Rosenberg, Texas

I just learned about Witt Pit yesterday. I ordered the Witt Potatoes a side of Mac n cheese. The Mac was ok. It needed some salt and pepper but that's a personal preference as I'm a used to Mac with spunk like truffle Mac n cheese, Mac n cheese w/ bacon or lobster Mac n cheese. The Witt potatoes exceeded my expectations. I will be back. The sauce needs something but I can't figure out what it is. Spunk it up a little. Not sugar maybe some smoke flavoring. read more

Everything! Yes, everything is so good at Witt Pit. I've dined here several times in the last 5 years and I've never been disappointed. I noticed that they painted the outside of the building and made several changes. It's so cute. I ordered my meal to-go and enjoyed it during my drive to San Antonio. The ribs and brisket were very tender and moist. As always. Green beans and buttered potatoes were flavorful and tasted good when combined on the fork. One of the highlights about Witt Pitt is they offer a military discount even though they are not located near a military installation. Thank you!! read more

2.5 stars. Yeah, I was expecting more. It was OK. I got the brisket with the baked potato, Mac and cheese, and the peach cobbler. Cobbler was the best part (by far). The brisket was meh while the cobbler was really good! Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.... The atmosphere was cute! Service was great. Brisket was just tasteless. Would I go back? Maybe. It was recommended from a friend and she can't be THAT wrong. Maybe I'll try the ribs next time. But 100%, the brisket wasn't there. read more

The food was unbelievably delicious. The ribs tender and tasty. Prices were quite fair. It is my new go to for barbq.

This place has good food. The Mac n cheese and green beans are soooo good! I also like their brisket.

We went and had their brisket plates every single day we stayed in Rosenberg. Friendly and welcoming staff and showed us a tour of the BBQ smokers. Feels like a homely environment while dining in. All meats were very delicious. Invited friends to here and they also loved it. Strongly recommend this great BBQ place to all friends and family. read more

We came over this way to take our kid to a show at the Fort Bend Epicenter and decided on a late lunch/early dinner in the area afterwards. Being the bbq connoisseur that he is, the fiance wanted to check out Witt Pitt BBQ cause of the high reviews. There were a steady stream of people the whole time we were there and because of tables pulled together for a large party, there was absolutely zero places to sit. Staff was so friendly though and asked folks to condense themselves so we could split off a 2 top for us. Thank you for looking out. We ordered in line as you would any bbq joint; the difference with this one was that they didn't fill the orders quickly in real time - there was actually quite a wait here and it took maybe 15-20 mins to get everything we ordered. Food was decent. I can't say the bbq or sides blew my mind, but the bbq was tender, just lacking flavor on that bark. The Witt Potatoes were super greasy fully loaded.. so much so that there was a pool of grease I was trying to avoid on the bottom of the container. Mac n cheese was creamy, ribs were pull off the bone.. my toddler loved the giant cookie. Parking can be sparse as well since the restaurant is located in a converted house! Overall, a decent experience if you're out this way and craving some bbq! read more

Rosenberg Tx is probably not the thriving tourist destination you'd imagine, but they have a terrific little bbq joint that packs in a lunch crowd. I was delighted to find outdoors seating on the quaint front porch. Expected Andy Griffith to arrive at any moment to sample melt-in-your-mouth brisket with the deepest smoke ring I could imagine! Sides of slaw and potato salad were standard. DYI service, but counter was helpful and friendly. Wonderful 'nanner puddin'. Get you some! read more

This is the best BBQ I have found in the Houston / Sugar Land area, bar none! Always moist, and tastes!

5/5 hands down. CTX in Pearland was my number one, until today. The sauce is top tier. The brisket is perfection. The sides are plenty and delicious. Atmosphere is that of a classic BBQ lodge. I'll be back again and again. read more

Honestly one of my favorite BBQ places. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes BBQ.

I was back in Texas visiting some family. We live in Florida now and excellent BBQ is hard to find. Witt had great reviews and my dad also recomended it. We went for lunch on a Saturday. It wasnt too busy but when we left it started to get crowded. The interior is like a an iold house and it has a great home style vibe. I ordered the brisket plate and added an extra meat which was the ribs. The brsket was awesome. Super tender and flavorful with a slight char on the edges. The ribs were fall off the bone good. Their sauce is semi sweet and has smal chunks of onion in it. It went perfectly with the meats. I had beans and potato salad for my sides. The sides were good but nothng crazy spectacular. But we arent here for sides we come here for the MEAT! A bonus was the banana pudding. My wife got it and she said it was the best she has ever had. I tried it and it was tasty. If you are in the houston area this is one of the best BBQ spots in the city and I recomend you go try it out! read more

Really great BBQ, fast and efficient. Super easy take-out orders. Laid back relaxed atmosphere. It is hard to decide, so I ordered the two meat plate. Tender juicy brisket and turkey. Mac & cheese and buttered reds were great sides. Add on the peach cobbler! read more

The day we where the the service was extended slow. Also few or little parking spots. We will try one more time.

Ribs were raw.. potatoes were cold and hard , Mac and cheese watery no flavor. Had to unfortunately eat this misery on a empty stomach.

Fabulous Texas BBQ in a shack in a small Texas community. Fast, friendly service at amazing prices! Turkey is smoky, moist and tender, and portion sizes are generous. Delicious BBQ sauce, along with serve yourself pickles, onions, jalapeñod, and bread. Brisket is savory, juicy and so tender that a knife isn't necessary to cut through the meat. Will be back soon to try their many other offerings. read more

Amazing BBQ. We visited on a whim while in the Houston area and definitely worth the trip. Great food, nice people.

I love sausage and get a sausage plate every time I go to a bbq place. This is my first time here. The staff were genuinely friendly. My sausage was honestly the best I have ever had. Most smoked sausage leans on the dry side. Not here! Juicy with just the right amount of smoke. Loved it! The dining area is simple and clean. Lived the condiment bar. The prices are amazing. This will be my bbq stop on my way to Houston from now on. Thanks read more

I usually don't have a reason to be in Rosenberg, but as we were in town to go to a wrestling show, we saw this place existed. Least favorite thing - gravel parking lot. Aside from that, the restaurant gave the impression it was a tiny hut of a place. Once you look to your left, you see the sneakily hidden eating area. I enjoyed the bar b que sandwich and macaroni and cheese. I wish they had pepper...maybe I missed it. I felt it was scrumptious and filling. Things that were nice to see was that they were great with customer service and many patrons who went there for the same reasons I did, kept remarking how much they loved the place and how much they enjoyed the service. I didn't need help from the staff, but personally I like going to restaurants and people watch happy customers. And to see 2 different groups rave is impressive. Definitely come here if you're in the Rosenberg area. read more

Food and service were great. Staff were polite and attentive. Pricing was decent. Brisket was tasty and juicy. The sausage was good too.

After the unfortunate passing of a very good friend we needed BBQ for 100 people for after the service and Witt Pit came through with flying colors! The food was outstanding only surpassed by the great service! I can't thank them enough for pulling this together with very little notice. Shaunna and her entire team did a great job even delivering and setting the food up. You won't go wrong eating at Witt Pit. read more

I come here at least once a month for the pulled pork potato and peach cobbler! It's my favorite BBQ I've had in South Texas by far!

We placed an order online for takeout - everything was ready when I arrived and oh my goodness- everything was delicious. Everyone says you can't go wrong with Texas BBQ. At first I was sad that I didn't get a side order of BBQ sauce- but the only thing I would have added it to was the chicken- and honestly we really didn't miss it. We went with brisket (not marbled) and it was melt in your mouth good! The smoked turkey was super moist. The ribs were coated with a nice peppery dry rub and they were fall off the bone tender. Normally the sides don't get the same type of love but, not here! The mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, the cole slaw was finely chopped with a nice mustard, vinegar, slightly tangy vibe and the green beans were cooked just right. We ordered 2 banana pudding and 2 peach cobbler desserts, but it was the end of the day and sadly they ran out. (They kindly threw in a few cookies- which were a huge hit with the kiddos) I've only had peach cobbler a few times but this was the most memorable! It was perfectly balanced - not too sweet, not too soggy, it was just right! Sadly, I didn't get any photos- next time! read more

While we were visiting our son in Katy, Texas we were told about Witt's BBQ in Rosenberg, Texas. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the ribs? Just perfect--smoky, juicy, and falling off the bone. The sausage had an incredible kick and paired well with their killer sauces. The sides were no afterthought either; the mac and cheese was on point! Great atmosphere and friendly service made it even better. If you want real authentic Texas BBQ, and not chain restaurant BBQ, Witt's is the place to be. We'll definitely be back! read more

best bqq within a few hours of town. this is my go to place for lunch adn dinner. make sure to come early before they sell out.

2-3 years ago Witt BBQ was recommended and we went. It was good, but not outstanding. Last Saturday we went again with friends and WOW the food was amazing!! The Staff were efficient. They were busy but the wait was short. Our food came quickly after we placed our order. I had the chopped baked potato and my husband had the brisket sandwich. Prices were great for the amount of food. The only problem we had was parking, but we were able to manage that and we are really glad we did. read more
