There were plants of parking spaces in front and behind the restaurant. Food: Delicious. The meats were juicy and succulent. Perfect seasoning on all cuts. I really liked the turkey and the brisket. I also highly recommend the buttered potato. So so good! Same goes for the coleslaw, tangy and well balanced. Went well with meats. I do like Truth BBQ but this one was on par. Pricing: $$/$ - the price depends on the size of your order. Regular plate of food was priced $20-$25.

Prices have def gone up since 2020, but that's expected (prices are still reasonable). Seemed pretty busy with take-out orders, but i wouldn't go out of my way, honestly. MEAT PLATE WITH 2 SIDES ($32 because I added extra meat) - sliced brisket ($20)- dry. I could already tell by looking at it. On a positive note, it was lean and not fatty. - jalapeno sausage ($5)- good. Tad spicy. - added ribs ($7 for 2)- ok. Not fall off the bone. - buttered red potatoes- good - mac n cheese- good but not as good as I remembered. Small plate + 1 side ($9) - turkey + coleslaw For my mom. Coleslaw was good. I didn't try the turkey. Seemed like kind of a small portion for $9. Chopped brisket potato ($15) -dad enjoyed it. It was huge and lasted him 2 meals. Prob the best bang for ur buck

The brisket was a bit lean. But the baked potato and sausage was goood. But the gold medal winner was the pork ribs. Not only did it taste great, but it literally melted. I could have been toothless and ate this bad boy no problem. I'm serious. Come get the ribs. Bad ass.

I've literally passed by this spot for what feels like my entire life--whether I was on my way to…read morework or just out and about. It sits right off Harlem Road--not exactly hidden, but definitely gives off that "shack" vibe. Seeing how long it's been around, I figured it had to be serving up some good ole homestyle BBQ. I finally went with a few friends and decided to sample a little bit of everything: 1/2 lb of pork ribs, 1/2 lb of brisket, a sausage link, and a side of potato salad. I was pleasantly surprised by the price--BBQ can get pricey fast, but my whole plate was between $20-$30, which felt super reasonable for the amount of food. The pork ribs were juicy with just the right amount of fat--exactly how I like them. The brisket was flavorful, but I did find it a bit on the dry side. The sausage link, though, was the real winner for me: peppery, juicy, and full of that smoky flavor I love. Everything had solid flavor on its own--even without the BBQ sauce, which I appreciated since I usually prefer a dry rub, and they nailed that. Now, the potato salad was...interesting. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. It was basically mashed potatoes that tasted like potato salad. I was hoping for a more traditional, chunky, homestyle version, but it was still decent in its own way. The vibe was laid-back, and the service matched that energy. There were only two employees working, but both were friendly and moved at a good pace. It was never packed, but there was a steady flow of families dining in quickly and folks picking up to-go orders. My friends and I hung out on the patio for a few hours, and we got to see a consistent stream of traffic the whole time. All in all, I'd definitely go back-- solid spot if you're craving BBQ without the fuss.

No matter where we go and try the brisket, Rudy's still has the best brisket moist in our opinion. This was our favorite go to for the chili stew and brisket moist. However, lately we felt this place has been off. The brisket moist does not taste the way it used to anymore. The rub doesn't even look the same. We thought it was an ordering mistake when we ordered it through door dash the last two times. The brisket those two times had no bark like it was supposed to be smoked for a long time. It was not moist, soft, or tender like it used to be. It was horrible. The fat on it was chewy and not tender or melt in your mouth soft at all. There was no flavor on it and they had cut off all the bark where the flavor was. They left none of it on! It tasted horrible. It made us not want to order online anymore. Today our family was craving Rudy's. To avoid online ordering error, I had my sons pick it up in person to make sure there was no confusion about us wanting brisket moist with some thin bark seasoning from the dry rub with the even amount of fat and meat to make the brisket be soft and tender. Sadly we did not get that. It does not and did not taste moist or had the bark seasoning we loved about it. It tastes like brisket lean! It does not taste right! Even the rub on the brisket looks off. I think this will be our last time coming here. The last two times we ordered online, I didn't know how to report to DoorDash that the brisket moist the last two times was off. Since we went in person we know it was not an error. The brisket definitely had changed its recipe and how they cook it. Sadly this will be our last time to go here. Even the pork ribs don't taste as soft and tender as it used to. It's chewy also. We spent allot of money every time. We will be looking for a new place for our brisket moist. Sad to see a place that has such a great run go down on quality.

The bar is actually really cool because the countertop is full of coins from one end all the way to the other! Haven't seen anything like it before so that was pretty neat. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich- as you can see from the picture, he enjoyed every bite! I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon. The chicken was thick and juicy, just how we like it, and the powdered sugar with strawberries on top really held that nice, sweet and savory fix I needed! Next time we come, I'll have to try the dessert and Bloody Mary!

Our friend had a burger and said it was very good. I drank beer, which was cold and our server kept them coming which was great! Would go back for the fish and chips! We then went especially on a Wednesday to have the Chicken Pot Pie special. It was served in a bowl type (very large mug) with a big croissant type bread sitting on top. Have never seen it this way so we were kinda surprised. It was not terrible but won't order it again. It came wth a very large side salad. Also ordered a cup of the potato soup. It was very runny and unfortunately not a potato to be found. Also would not order again. Their daily specials seem to be a good deal. Their menu has quite a selection as well. Definitely want to try their breakfast!
