I'm actually not sure why there are so many negative reviews throughout the year. I have went at least 3 times and the service was always friendly, the workers are hard at work, and you definitely get what you paid for. I actually prefer this location compared to others in the Sugar Land/Richmond area. The BBQ is obviously not to the level of Truths or Pinkerton's but it's definitely good. I'm also a HUGE fan of their bread. Very mom-and-pop feel and always plenty of seating and parking. They also have a great rewards program! I hope they get more business. read more

The food is fresh and well prepared. Had the St. Louis Ribs and the Baby Back Ribs with sides of baked beans, green beans, corn, Mac and Cheese. The associates were friendly, nice and well-structured. The restaurant was clean, well organized and the temperature was highly adequate. read more

Spring Creek Barbeque offers amazing food that is topped only by its super-friendly, helpful servers. The staff was extremely pleasant and provided specific details about their selection of savory BBQ meats. All of the meats are fresh and cut right in front of you and their sides come in generous portions and served hot. The hot, soft roll and in-house BBQ sauce were perfect touches! If you have any room left over after your amazing main course, I highly recommend the peach cobbler and cream that is made fresh in front of you. It was absolutely delicious! I'd go back to this rustic marvel again and again! read more

I ordered via DoorDash because I'm traveling and I've been sick since before I left home. When I got to my hotel, the only thing I wanted to do was sleep. I ordered the three meat plate with ribs, cracked black pepper sausage, and brisket (mix of lean & marbled). It came with mac & cheese and baked beans. I also got a baked potato to eat for a different meal later and also a couple of rolls because they seem pretty proud of them. Well, first off, they didn't give me any utensils, so I had to slog my sick ass down to the front desk of the hotel to get some. The first thing I tried was the bread. It was warm, seemed fresh, but is pretty chewy and they didn't give me any butter. I guess since they figured I wouldn't have a knife to spread it with, butter would just be a waste. I'd mark the bread as okay, but nothing special. The brisket was flavorful. The lean brisket wasn't all that moist, but lean brisket never is. It still tasted good. The marbled brisket was very nice, and the fat was rendered well. The ribs were dry and disappointing. The cracked black pepper sausage was.... well... really, really good. Very lean and tender, wonderful flavor. Their BBQ sauce is strong - a little goes a long way. But, I'm not much of a sauce guy, honestly. The baked beans were a little too firm and basically just taste like BBQ sauce. The mac & cheese really needed salt, but I kept coming back to it, so it must have been good. LOL I haven't tried the baked potato, but it looks good. Then again, it's a potato. I think if I eat here (or order from here) again, I'd go with just the cracked black pepper sausage and marbled brisket. I wouldn't order either of the sides again, and I won't ever pay extra for their bread again, either. (I think I forgot to mention the bread cost extra) Most likely, I'll try a different place when I'm back in the area. read more

We stopped by to get a "to go" dinner but we chose to go thru the dine in line to select our choices. That was a mistake, Mr Lance gingerly sarcastically said that's what the "to go counter" is for. After four customers were given their order (waited approx 12 min) then we were asked what did we order and under what name. Of course they had already charged us with receipt in hand. The whole experience was unnecessary and bottom line, the restaurant was practically empty. I don't see what the big deal is about viewing and selecting your choices, I said it's like going to Luby's and he said then go there. Wow! I have to say, there were more employees than customers on site. read more

The food was really good. I had the ribs, potatoes salad and baked beans. The beans were like old fashioned baked beans with brown sugar. Delicious. read more

First time here and it definitely won't be my last! The manager and staff were awesome as heck--super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely bomb! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be telling my family and friends about this place, and we'll be back soon. Highly recommend! read more

The food could be better, what really bugs me about this place is the customer service. After a long day of working at a market, me and my neighbor decided to come here and pick up some loaded potatoes with brisket. When we were trying to order, nobody came up to us and the employees were laughing and on their phones talking to each other. I recognized these girls from my old highschool, zero care in the world. They need to be more strict on who they hire, we waited forever for someone to just come up to us so we could order. It was really annoying and they saw us standing there waiting and just didn't care. read more

Service is fast, food is fresh, hot, and incredible BBQ. Best fried okra of any restaurant. On Sundays they give out free bluebell ice cream. Hot fresh bread is brought throughout the meal. Ambiance is engaging, and sets the tone for a family-style "dinner". Our favorite for Sunday lunch ! read more

First off, love the ambiance. Setup real western and there's a whole separate area with fresh cobbler being made ! The food was also great. Got the ribs which were tender and flavorful. BBQ sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness. The dinner rolls were fresh and fluffy. And the fried okra was perfectly crispy. read more

I ordered a salad to go only to come home and they didn't put the dressing in the bag. The chicken was cold , hard and it looked like they gave me the burnt ends. I got 3 items and got only 2 cold rolls. Usually spring creek is warm fresh and flavorful. Also, it would be helpful to know when you place an order through the phone that they tell you have to come inside to pay even though it's curbside. When you have a small child that is why you want curbside. The cashier was friendly but this visit was disappointing. read more

My husband and I eat at Spring Creek barbecue in Richmond, Texas frequently. Tonight we ate there and it was just as good as it always has been. What stuck out to me the most, was the girl, named Jana, who walked around with the Bread basket. What a refreshing young lady with a positive attitude! So polite and with a smile on her face! All the associates who work in the restaurant are GREAT! The Manager is great! We will continue to go there and see the friendly faces! Keep up the wonderful experience! read more

Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by the Richmond location (off of 99 and Belfort) of Spring Creek BBQ to pick up a pound of lean brisket for dinner that night. I have done this a few times in the past with decent success. Spring Creek had a captive audience in this area, as it is about the only BBQ place for miles. The brisket was as tender as a relatively tough pot roast. The fat had not been rendered at all. What a disappointment. The place was not busy at all, and at ~$30.00/lb...well, it's a slap in the face to get served this type of BBQ. Spring Creek offers "Carolina" style BBQ, but brisket is king in Texas, and a place can't survive long serving this type of fare. read more

Horrible service. No one even greets you or tells you I'll be with you in a minute. I stood at the to go counter wondering if that's where I really needed to be. After no one came or spoke to me, I walked over and got in the regular line only to be told I needed to order back where I was standing. 2 young kids move as if they do not want to be there. Manager comes out from the back and I insisted to grab my own condiments as I saw the previous lady was given to go containers to grab her own, he said I got it ma'am. My onions were rotting, he put Jalapeños in a foil and I didn't ask for that so the juices got all over the rotting onions and pickles. My sandwich was wrapped in white paper and all the oils from the meat leaked through it. He was working on my order and completed it and could not even hand it to me. He threw the tray down with the to go order on the counter and walked off. Just terrible service. The manager should be ashamed to be in a superior position and display piss poor customer service. Speaks volumes on why his staff work in the same manner. It was not even busy but even if it was that's no excuse. Date was 2-9-26 at 11:57am read more

The customer service is fine. The bbq is below mid. I was craving bbq chicken and decided to make the 11 mile drive to try this place out. I should've just went to Rudy's close to me. I ordered the bbq chicken plate which cost almost $20! For that excessive price I just KNEW it had to be good. Pros- customer service was ok (yes ok) and the bread was actually really good. As someone who doesn't like bread at all for me to like it is huge. Cons- the bbq chicken tastes like baked chicken more than bbq chicken. It didn't have that bbq flavor I was craving. The seasoning was... I don't know... not for me. The chicken was extremely dry which is rarely the case with bbq chicken. The potato salad was super sweet as if they added chicken and the Mac and cheese looked and tasted like boxed Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce was also very grainy vs smooth. I ate all of the bread, some of my chicken (the baby drumstick and a piece from the breast), 2 bites of my potato salad and one bite of my mac and cheese before I finally threw it all away. For bbq this was disappointing. If this was marketed like a Luby's or something it would be fine. This was my first time trying it and I probably won't be back. As much as I was craving bbq I spent a whole lot of $ and it just didn't hit the spot. Proceed with caution. read more

I order a sliced brisket sandwich with meat that was tasteless and dry as dirt. The manager was snarky by making a comment that "he didn't make the sandwich." By the way this with two sides was almost $17. Doubt I will be returning. read more

Friendly staff and good service but some of the meats were too dry. The chicken and the ribs were super dry that even with sauce it still tasted dry and tough. We came on a Sunday night so there weren't that many other customers around which makes me believe the meat was probably sitting out for a long time. First time we came here was before they had opened and had invited people for their training. The food then was super juicy and fresh since there was a big crowd. Unfortunately the food we experienced this time was not the same. read more

This is the best location by far! The employees are super friendly. The butcher cut the meat and put it on the plate so beautifully that you'd think he was on Food Network. lol.
