I'm actually not sure why there are so many negative reviews throughout the year. I have went at least 3 times and the service was always friendly, the workers are hard at work, and you definitely get what you paid for. I actually prefer this location compared to others in the Sugar Land/Richmond area. The BBQ is obviously not to the level of Truths or Pinkerton's but it's definitely good. I'm also a HUGE fan of their bread. Very mom-and-pop feel and always plenty of seating and parking. They also have a great rewards program! I hope they get more business. read more

I ordered via DoorDash because I'm traveling and I've been sick since before I left home. When I got to my hotel, the only thing I wanted to do was sleep. I ordered the three meat plate with ribs, cracked black pepper sausage, and brisket (mix of lean & marbled). It came with mac & cheese and baked beans. I also got a baked potato to eat for a different meal later and also a couple of rolls because they seem pretty proud of them. Well, first off, they didn't give me any utensils, so I had to slog my sick ass down to the front desk of the hotel to get some. The first thing I tried was the bread. It was warm, seemed fresh, but is pretty chewy and they didn't give me any butter. I guess since they figured I wouldn't have a knife to spread it with, butter would just be a waste. I'd mark the bread as okay, but nothing special. The brisket was flavorful. The lean brisket wasn't all that moist, but lean brisket never is. It still tasted good. The marbled brisket was very nice, and the fat was rendered well. The ribs were dry and disappointing. The cracked black pepper sausage was.... well... really, really good. Very lean and tender, wonderful flavor. Their BBQ sauce is strong - a little goes a long way. But, I'm not much of a sauce guy, honestly. The baked beans were a little too firm and basically just taste like BBQ sauce. The mac & cheese really needed salt, but I kept coming back to it, so it must have been good. LOL I haven't tried the baked potato, but it looks good. Then again, it's a potato. I think if I eat here (or order from here) again, I'd go with just the cracked black pepper sausage and marbled brisket. I wouldn't order either of the sides again, and I won't ever pay extra for their bread again, either. (I think I forgot to mention the bread cost extra) Most likely, I'll try a different place when I'm back in the area. read more

The food could be better, what really bugs me about this place is the customer service. After a long day of working at a market, me and my neighbor decided to come here and pick up some loaded potatoes with brisket. When we were trying to order, nobody came up to us and the employees were laughing and on their phones talking to each other. I recognized these girls from my old highschool, zero care in the world. They need to be more strict on who they hire, we waited forever for someone to just come up to us so we could order. It was really annoying and they saw us standing there waiting and just didn't care. read more

I ordered a salad to go only to come home and they didn't put the dressing in the bag. The chicken was cold , hard and it looked like they gave me the burnt ends. I got 3 items and got only 2 cold rolls. Usually spring creek is warm fresh and flavorful. Also, it would be helpful to know when you place an order through the phone that they tell you have to come inside to pay even though it's curbside. What stuck out to me the most, was the girl, named Jana, who walked around with the Bread basket. What a refreshing young lady with a positive attitude! So polite and with a smile on her face! Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by the Richmond location (off of 99 and Belfort) of Spring Creek BBQ to pick up a pound of lean brisket for dinner that night. I have done this a few times in the past with decent success. Spring Creek had a captive audience in this area, as it is about the only BBQ place for miles. The brisket was as tender as a relatively tough pot roast. The fat had not been rendered at all. What a disappointment. The place was not busy at all, and at ~$30.00/lb...well, it's a slap in the face to get served this type of BBQ. Spring Creek offers "Carolina" style BBQ, but brisket is king in Texas, and a place can't survive long serving this type of fare. read more

Horrible service. No one even greets you or tells you I'll be with you in a minute. I stood at the to go counter wondering if that's where I really needed to be. After no one came or spoke to me, I walked over and got in the regular line only to be told I needed to order back where I was standing. 2 young kids move as if they do not want to be there. Manager comes out from the back and I insisted to grab my own condiments as I saw the previous lady was given to go containers to grab her own, he said I got it ma'am. My onions were rotting, he put Jalapeños in a foil and I didn't ask for that so the juices got all over the rotting onions and pickles. My sandwich was wrapped in white paper and all the oils from the meat leaked through it. He was working on my order and completed it and could not even hand it to me. The customer service is fine. The bbq is below mid. I was craving bbq chicken and decided to make the 11 mile drive to try this place out. I should've just went to Rudy's close to me. I ordered the bbq chicken plate which cost almost $20! For that excessive price I just KNEW it had to be good. Pros- customer service was ok (yes ok) and the bread was actually really good. As someone who doesn't like bread at all for me to like it is huge. Cons- the bbq chicken tastes like baked chicken more than bbq chicken. It didn't have that bbq flavor I was craving. The seasoning was... I don't know... not for me. The chicken was extremely dry which is rarely the case with bbq chicken. The potato salad was super sweet as if they added chicken and the Mac and cheese looked and tasted like boxed Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce was also very grainy vs smooth. I ate all of the bread, some of my chicken (the baby drumstick and a piece from the breast), 2 bites of my potato salad and one bite of my mac and cheese before I finally threw it all away. For bbq this was disappointing. If this was marketed like a Luby's or something it would be fine. This was my first time trying it and I probably won't be back. As much as I was craving bbq I spent a whole lot of $ and it just didn't hit the spot. Proceed with caution. read more

Friendly staff and good service but some of the meats were too dry. The chicken and the ribs were super dry that even with sauce it still tasted dry and tough. We came on a Sunday night so there weren't that many other customers around which makes me believe the meat was probably sitting out for a long time. I ordered Togo food and my bread was left out when the food was delivered. My kids are insane when there's no bread! I called the store to let them know and was going to go grab the rolls. Before I could get that said the store offered to bring the rolls to me. Less than 5 minutes later we had hot bread and some dessert thrown in for the inconvenience. Mistakes are made, we're all human but the customer service and correction is what matters most. I was blown away by the fix and my teenagers were happily eating bread with dinner! Thank you!!!!
