a burrito in a styrofoam container

Its not a food truck - but the building its in is about the same size as one. Mexican street food is what they sell and they do a pretty good job. You wont find any ambiance or decor here. And to be honest the whole place is in desperate need of a bottle of windex and 409. It is a bonafide dump. But I'm not grading the look. I'm grading the food. Pastor burrito had the right flavors and came with some good hot/mild sauces. Price was right. Makes for a good hit-n-run meal at a good price. Works for me !

This unassuming place really packs a punch when it comes to flavorful food! We've been going here for the last few weeks off and on and have had great experiences each time. The food is prepared very well and the portion sizes are plentiful. We've had their nachos, quesadilla, alambre, and tortas. Everything was delicious and filling. They even have some menu items that are more of the authentic variety (such as tripa and menudo). The only thing that is not my favorite about it is there doesn't always seem to be a lot of drink options, at least ones that work for us. My husband is type 1 diabetic, so if he wants a soda it needs to be diet. They didn't have any diet options when we were there last. They do have other beverage options, so if diet drinks are not in the equation for you, then you shouldn't have an issue with their choices. Despite the small beverage item, Tortas is quickly becoming my go-to for Mexican take out. There is seating inside, but we prefer to just pick it up and take it home. Also there is some parking right in front of the building. They seem to work with a skeleton crew so sometimes patience is needed, but everyone we've encountered have been super friendly and the food is worth the wait! Looking forward to working our way through the rest of the menu!

The food here is delicious. Their specialty is a dish called Tortas, but they have other options as well. A Torta kind of resembles an off the grill hoagie. The bread is crispy but light weight. The cheese is melted and delicious. I also want to add they are not stingy when it comes to stuffing their Tortas. They also have different agua frescas, but they vary when you visit. The service was great and because i consider it a hidden gem it's spacious and quiet.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Fast fresh and hot! Nice people! Complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in.

One of the best tortas I have had in Indianapolis! The pachuquena is amazing!!! Fresh made ingredients, salsas and sides!!! Clean and friendly too.

Very good Torta. Didn't try the tacos this time but last time I had it was delicious. The are is really bad and building from the outside looks crappy, but the inside is better. Horchata was on point. Mexicans don't eat burritos so I will not try it since that isn't authentic so I can't say anything about that. I'm giving this a 4 star because the chips weren't the ones we usually eat. Salsa felt from the can (except the ones for the actual food) and the outside look. The actual food was great.

Only been here once and can't wait to return! Ordering is easy enough-- look at the large menu canvas hanging above the counter and order there. Be sure to check out the daily drink specials posted by the front door. We ordered the Heineken special for $3.99 and the mugs were so cold, part of the beer had frozen and was floating in it! I ordered the Tacos Supreme with steak. It came overflowing with toppings that I ended up using my fork at first. My husband ordered a burrito (it was National Burrito Day) and it was so big that he had enough leftover for lunch the next day.

    Muy Bien!!

Decided to try this little Mexican restaurant for lunch today. You walk up to the counter to order and pay and they will bring the food to your table. The negatives first: * They had some nice beer selections on tap, but the taps weren't working-disappointed * Several TV's around the room, but they were very loud and playing children's shows, that, combined with some Spanish music in the background was a little annoying for me *. Not a big deal, but I ordered one taco as Supreme and the other with just the cilantro and onion, but both came out as Supreme. The girl offered to take it back, but I was ok with it the way it was. *. Our waitress had a little difficulty understanding English and when we asked if there was a spicier sauce than what was on the table, I don't think she understood. I am pretty sure they have a red sauce that is hot, based on what other reviewers have said. I didn't care for the brown sauce that we were served, however, I did like the verde sauce. *. Tortilla chips were not made fresh, they were ok, but nothing special The positives: *. Several choices of bottled beer available, they also have several other soft drinks to choose from *. My tacos were good...had one steak and one pastor, both served in a corn tortilla shell, both very tasty *. Guacamole was fresh, but needed salt and the cheese sauce was pretty good, did have to ask them to heat it though, it was not warm when it was served to us * Reasonable prices All in all, it's pretty good. I would recommend it for a lunch or quick dinner, but probably not for a night out type of evening. We may visit again sometime, but want to try some other places for comparison. The food is fantastic!! Everything was very flavorful. It is a small place, but everyone was friendly and very concerned with our experience. Definitely worth stopping in and taking a look. We will be coming back. You order at counter and they give you a number and then bring you, your food. We started off with chips and queso. The chips tasted homemade. The queso was tasty. My wife likes it more than me. I'm not a cheese lover like she is. My wife and I both got chicken burritos. They were stuffed and we didn't even get them as "grande" which includes rice and beans inside. We also got 2 steak tacos to try the steak. They were awesome. I only got them with onion and cilantro and the flavor was great. I add some Verde sauce they have. It has a small amount of heat, but great flavor. The Red sauce is straight fire. It has nice flavor, but the heat from it is crazy. I love really spicy food, but this was too much for me. It is popular, everyone there was using it. The prices are good. 2 large burritos, 2 tacos, chips & queso and 2 sodas for about $20. Can't beat that. The soda is cans or bottles so no refills. Cans were $1.

The restaurant is sleek and has a cool vibe, but we immediately realized it was not going to be what we thought of when we saw "street tacos" mentioned during Google search. It's more of a metropolitan American Soul fusion place, with a heavy emphasis on loaded, uniquely flavored tacos instead of traditional Mexicana. The server was wonderful in explaining their menu and gave multiple recommendations, which I went with all of her great suggestions once I told her what I was craving. My husband didn't enjoy his appetizer, saying it tasted too sweet instead of savory for him, but the server was great at being aware of our plates and took the appetizer off our bill when she noticed he wasn't eating it without us even mentioning it. I got three different tacos, and the only one I didn't enjoy was due to the Mac n cheese that was stuffed in it. It just didn't taste or feel right having a taco with macaroni that was pushed in so densely that it became a sponge. The other two were great! My husband gave his burrito a 3/5, as he felt it was too much one note. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for upscale Mexicana, but instead want to enjoy interesting fusion flavors and fun cocktails. Great place for a group outing or celebration!

Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order.
