So I've been here before. And the tortas are very good. They are huge and good price for the size. My only complaint is that we were there yesterday & the girl taking my order was so rude. We would ask a question & she would nod her head & rolled her eyes. She had a terrible attitude. There was a number you can call & complaint but I didn't get the number. I understand when you have to get a job even if you don't like it but it is not the customers fault. We didn't come in there with an attitude. We came there friendly and we did our best to not have to ask questions. At the end I didn't give them 5 stars for that. I believe they need to work on customer service. The lady who cooked the food was actually nice but the one who customers have to deal with was not and that's a turn off. I hope she gets it together and starts to have a decent attitude. read more

Went around 3ish in the afternoon & the girl filling up the salsa bar was on point, very fast and efficient on making sure things were stocked and clean. Here's the taco breakdown: Carnitas tacos: Mmmmm mmm, these were some damn delicious tacos, but absent salsa, your tacos might be dry. The key is in combining the green avocado salsa with the carnitas. If you add the salsa, you will experience a perfect balance of fresh green tomatillo salsa with the taste of tender pork...aaah, its like being en el cielo (heaven)! If you're looking for some overly stuffed tortas with flavorful ingredients then you've found the right spot! It saddens me that I've searched and found good tortas places but never found the place that was literally right around the corner from me. You walk in and the smell of meats & bread hits your nose instantly. There was lots of tortas on the menu to choose from but I had to go with the biggest at the top of the list, the La Chingona. Go Big Or Go Home. Plus if you're using something as bold as "chingona" for it's name, it has to be one good torta. When taking my first bite, there was one ingredient I purposely looked out for to see if it tasted good and they got it right. I've had plenty of tortas that used franks in the sandwich and none held a good flavor. Some tasted microwaved or just wasn't a good brand of hot dog (possibly). Not sure which brand is used or if it's made in house but it's delicious and stands out with the bacon, ham, chorizo, shredded pork, and breaded pork. All of which added different but great flavors to the torta without overshadowing the other. To add, the bread was warm, soft and the chipotle mayo added a smoky flavor to the torta. The torta "la chingona" is so big it easily feeds 2-3 people. it cost $17 ($8.50 if split with a friend) you would think it would be greasy since it has so many meats but its not. I totally recomend it! The other one we got was "milanesa torta" also good. Their fries are delicious too. The place inside is nice and spacious. The parking however is very limited. Reason I'm considering two stars is because a friend of mine recommended this place for the style of tortas I want. They have the WORST customer service!!! I called order in to save time in hopes it would be ready by the time I came for pick up and was expecting that... However, it wasn't ! They didn't even bother to apologize or tell me to wait...I was just sitting there like a duck on a pond. Until I got up to ask if it was going to take any longer?? Man.. So I really wanted to like this place! The office just moved to the area in January and I've been suggesting this spot for lunch since then and everyone finally agreed yesterday! I was so freaking excited, went in knowing exactly what I wanted! The food: - Cuban: OMG the pork was SO DRY! I ended up picking most of it out and eating a ham sandwich with A TON of lettuce. And then somewhere near the middle of the sandwich was this really horrible tomato mayo sauce that made me stop eating altogether. I had been wanting to try this sandwich for ages and was so heartbroken that most of it ended up in the trash. Cry cry. - Asada Burrito: We got this with only meat, cilantro, and onions. Once again, the meat was SO DRY! We each took a bite of this TEN DOLLAR burrito and threw the rest away. It was just inedible. Sighhh. -Gordita: The only thing that didn't have dry meat. But then again, this thing was soaked in SO MUCH meat juice that the entire gordita pocket mushed every time I tried to pick it up for a bite. I eventually gave up and used a fork to eat the insides because the outsides were so yuck at that point. The only good thing about this place? Their salsa is SPICY! But then again.. King Taco has some really bomb sauce too.. and their food is actually edible. Also, on a side note. The cashier that took my order didn't tell me there was a huge price difference between a regular burrito and an all meat burrito(almost a $3 difference!). She also didn't mention there'd be a "debit charge" on my card purchase. So delicious! First of the agua De Fresa is thick and refreshing. Hands down so so so so tasty. The best I have ever ever ever had! La torta DF is so tasty and delish. Full of meat and flavors. Any torta is super delicious and filling. My aunt and I had to share one torta, no way I could finish one. Unless u come with an empty stomach. The customer service is superb and attentive. The cashier even allowed me to taste the waters and decide if I wanted Horchata or Fresa. Little tasty cups for undecided customers like myself. I will be back for sure. On my next trip, I will be headed back here I live about 6 hrs away but constantly make trips to southern cal. So this spot will be on my list next time! I am very happy I found this place. I wish I could put ZERO stars on this. They only take cash, even at the swap meets they take atm cards now. There's no parking, the tables are sticky, there's no room to walk around. I placed my order and there's no way for you as a customer to see what you're ordering on a screen, you are not able to see what you're ordering and paying for, I ordered 2 tacos al pastor and somehow they said I ordered 2 tortas de al pastor with cheese, which I didn't know until I saw the receipt, am like wtf I didn't order this, it had been no more than 5 minutes and they said oh sorry the tortas are already done and I said I didn't order them, I ordered 2 tacos al pastor , they didn't care, they brought the tortas, I didn't get my $ back, they gave me one asada taco to apologize for the "confusion", the tacos al pastor are the worst I've ever had in my life and I am from Mexico City so I know what's good pastor, the Hawaiian torta had carnitas inside which they never describe on their menu, and has nothing to do with that kind of torta. Yes the Tortas are pricey, but you are getting Huge tortas! They honestly feed two people comfortable. Also, I don't know why there are a few reviews saying there is no flavor, I thought the flavor was great! I ordered La Chilanga. That torta comes with beef, catnitas, ham, milanesa, and thick grilled cheese (queso fundido). The veggies include jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and they have a good salsa bar. My complaints: The drink prices are ridiculous. 4 to 5 bucks for a half liter Mexican coke. A half liter coke shouldn't cost more than $2.50 tops. Also, parking situation is horrible. The milanesa was not Fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting in a heating device for a while. Had to throw half away.

When they initially opened this place I recall wanting to return soon. 2 years later, I don't ever want to return. The staff is lovely but the food was not at all fresh. I can tell the meat was not cooked fresh, it felt reheated. We ordered a mamalona torta ($23) to share because we recall how huge these tortas are. No joke! Well the salchicha was so dark it gave me the yucks so I removed it. The milanesa was hard to chew and the ham felt dry. The salsas suck so you cannot add any extra or mask the taste. We only ate half and sadly threw the other away. Unfortunately we won't be returning and I would recommend reconsidering ever going here. read more

I haven't been her twice. A while back I came and tried their chingona torta. It was truly "chingona"badass torta. My boyfriend and I couldn't finish it and he can eat. This Sunday we returned and took 2 orders of menudos to go. It was enough for 3-4people. Depending on how much you eat. The menudo was clean and not oily.
