They said it's past the 30 days so I'm not allowed to return them. I asked if they can make an exception because I've been too busy to come in. They said absolutely not, they have a strict rule about returns now. I said can I please just exchange them for a different size or do a gift card instead? They said no. So now I'm stuck with jeans that don't fit and I only missed the 30 day return window by a week or so. I've bought so many things from Madewell over the years but I won't anymore since they can't even try to be accommodating.

So I called CS again who at first told me there was nothing they could do, but then later in the call told me they could waive only $15 of the $31 fee. I said fine, I would like to pay that off now. Oh wait, they said, it is a $9 fee to pay it over the phone. Hold my beer while I pay it online I said. So I pay the new fee online, but the credit won't show for three days, and I tell them to cancel my card. She says she cancelled it but I see no confirmation of that in the account and she refuses to send me a confirmation email. Protocol, she says, is I have to just believe her and the confirmation will be coming by snail mail in 7-10 days. Will this headache ever end??? Seriously. Save yourselves!!! This has been a PSA.

There are clothes and shoes strewn everywhere. The dressing room area looks dirty (I didn't dare wander into the bathroom). There is always a line here, and to make it as frustrating as possible, they cattle-car you into this line/maze made of low shelving with even more crap in them - it's impossible to find where this line starts, and a pain in the ass the climb over, squeeze past, and wade through all the people and crap blocking your access to it. The staff here doesn't have the best customer service, but I will say I bet it's because they are pretty unhappy at work and might be a little more willing to look more cheerful and do a better job if the management of this store was better. I had Kamelia there to help me the entire time - from helping me find a suit, to finding the fitting rooms and helping me with the checkout. Heather was ROCKSTAR. She was the tailor. She then annoyingly says how can I help you. Walk up and I explain what we need to do and she's says ok. Goes through and says ok the difference is $25 I said wait I'm just doing an exchange you can't do an even exchange, her response was you bought this one on sale . So which I said your putting this other one I'm returning out at full price anyway so no money will be lost. She stood there and says I guess I can do this one time but that's it. We exchanged for the same hoodie just a different color and size. Was the stupidest thing ever and I don't think I will shop there again. There was no reason for any of her attitude
