Well Madewell! You lost a customer for life. I tried to return one pair of jeans today. I bought them right before Christmas. They said it's past the 30 days so I'm not allowed to return them. I asked if they can make an exception because I've been too busy to come in. They said absolutely not, they have a strict rule about returns now. I said can I please just exchange them for a different size or do a gift card instead? They said no. So now I'm stuck with jeans that don't fit and I only missed the 30 day return window by a week or so. I've bought so many things from Madewell over the years but I won't anymore since they can't even try to be accommodating. read more

The workers here are incredibly rude and unprofessional. They stood around gossiping instead of doing their jobs. I waited forever in line to try something on, and when I finally got to the front, they told me to go to the back of a new line they made after I'd already been waiting. They clearly weren't paying any attention. The whole experience was awful, and I won't ever be shopping here again. read more

Terrible customer service at this Fashion Place store. I purchased a number of items which amounted to over $300. I had a problem with a sweater that I purchased, because I washed the item which wasn't supposed to be washed (this was not advertised, nor was I told about this when buying the item). The sweater shrunk to an unwearable size. I went back into the store to express that I had made a mistake but the woman who I presume to be managing the store was extremely unhelpful and unpleasant when I attempted to return, telling me bluntly that there was nothing she can do. She even mentioned that I could try to stretch it out back to normal, really solid advice! As I walked out of the store, the employees snickered and laughed as if we were in a high school hallway. Luckily, the online customer service was able to give me a full refund for the item and another item on top of that which had a different problem. I love the Madewell men's clothing, so it is extremely unfortunate that this store has lost a loyal customer. If you have the option, please buy the clothing online and avoid giving this store any sort of business. read more

I'm on a personal journey to be better with buying clothing. Instead of buying fast fashion and cheaper pieces, I'm in my minimalist era and want to invest in quality pieces. Madewell jeans range about $100+, but I think it's worth it. Madewell offers a trade-in program that if you donate a pair of jeans (any jeans from any brand) they will give you $20 off a brand new pair. Their recycle program uses old jeans for insulation in buildings. The quality of fabric to the zip of the zipper was really impressive. When I was browsing and asking questions, the girls that work there were very knowledgeable. I thought I knew my size, but they actually told me to size down sometimes 1-2 sizes lower! I never in my life thought I would fit a size 29 ever again. I'm a huge fan of Madewell. They also offer free hemming. If you are purchasing from the Fashion Place location and are getting your jeans hemmed, the jeans are picked up on Tuesdays. You can pick them up when they're finished or they will mail it back to you. 10/10 for company culture and helpfulness of the store employees. I told myself I would buy one pair of jeans a month until I'm done recycling through my old jeans so that I can invest in quality jeans. read more

One of my very favorite places to shop for clothes, and my number one spot for denim! They are a little pricey (generally regular price for jeans is $125.00 or so), but it is worth it and sometimes you can get a great deal when they are on sale. Their denim is thicker, such high quality, and super flattering. Their other clothing consists of a lot of basics, cute tees and tanks, scarves, the most beautiful dresses, really pretty leather bags, shoes, some jewelry, a few home goods like cards, candles, etc. You can also get some items monogrammed. Haven't done that yet, but I love monograms! The employees at this location are always really friendly and helpful. They offer a discount of 15% off for college students and teachers, which is pretty dang cool! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at madewell! Jill was the stylist who helped me check out and she was so helpful! She helped me find my perfect fit (thank you madewell curvy)! Jill made me feel like I was shopping with my bestie, not another sales associate! And then, during checkout I met Emily who was also just as wonderful! She was very helpful while I was ordering online and she made me feel completely taken care of! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Just want to return some shoes bought online, I wore them at home for few moments, they wouldn't take it says the bottom is little dusty so it's been wore, I mean they literally said you shouldn't try them at home, I have never dealt any store with such customer service even Walmart been much nicer. We went into the Madewell at fashion place today and felt like the workers and manager were profiling us and made us extremely uncomfortable. After being loyal customers we were judged and were looked at disrespectfully. They looked at us and our bags, counted everything, and talked about us once we turned our back. They left everyone else alone never asking inappropriate questions or bothering us every minute. read more

The girls that work the fashion place store are great! They all answered questions with me and helped me with sizing and styling outfits. I went shopping with my husband and he was in a different store but the girls that work that store made me feel like I was still shopping with friends! The jeans are always a great fit and if you bring in a old pair of jeans you get $20 off a new pair. Great program! One of my favorite clothing stores. read more

Great customer service! I had an issue with a transaction/returned item that didn't appear in the system.
