Unfortunately…read morewhen I asked an employee in a denim jumpsuit if this store will receive the Levi's pride Collection she coldly told me no and said, "Maybe fashion place." Maybe they don't receive the collection because it is an outlet store but her tone should never be like that with a customer asking a simple question.

The Levi brand has got it figured out. My in laws and the entire family on my wife's side refers to…read moreall blue jeans as "Levis" regardless of the brand. I've tried for years to help my wife see that not all denim jeans are worthy of the name "Levi," but it's a battle I continue to lose. Anyway, we found ourselves in the Traverse Mountain Outlets yesterday and my wife wanted a new pair of denim jeans. We saw the Levi store, and went in. We were immediately greeted by a cheerful employee and when we said we were looking for shorts, she didn't skip a beat and asked "men's or women's sizes?" I loved that she didn't assume anytime. My wife wears men's pants and shorts almost exclusively and hates when people assume otherwise. It wasn't long before we had a few pair that my wife wanted to try on. We were hesitant, not knowing if dressing rooms were open yet-you know, Covid and all. Another employee noticed our hesitation and invited us to pick any room and go ahead and try them on. We ended up leaving with a couple pair of perfectly fitting Levi's. (I can call them that because they actually are Levi brand.) The price was a little steep-a little over 100 dollars for two pair. But from what I know about the brand, they should last awhile.

I purchased my first Cotopaxi product just before leaving on a 24 day trek of the Annapurna and…read moreEverest Himalayas. It was a synthetic coat rated for intense cold that weighed nothing and scrunched into an extremely small space... exactly what I needed in terms of bulk and weight. It worked perfectly for the first few days until I came too close to dung-burning stove and the material burned while the bottom quarter of the zipper melted. Despite this, I was able to continuing using the coat for my remaining days because I could pull it on like a sweatshirt over my head. During most days on the trail, I had to take it off because I became too hot. This had not been my experience with other brands' coats in similarly cold weather. Nights in the Himalaya were another matter, but the coat was surprisingly comfortable (well, I wasn't literally freezing) when combined with a thick fleece layer. That wasn't what made Cotopaxi so good. What impressed me most was upon my return to the States when I contacted the company about the burn and melted zipper. They replaced the coat even though I'd worn it for a month post-melt; and, more importantly, they had me return the used coat for follow-up testing. I was so pleased that they cared enough about customers that they were committed to stand behind their products--they wanted to ensure we have quality, working products every time we enter the wilderness. I was even more pleased that they cared enough about customers that their research team re-tested the used coat to ensure nothing like this ever happened with any of their products again. Kudos, Cotopaxi and your sales team, for awesome customer service. You have a customer and fan for life!

This is a big store (much larger than the Park City one) and it's very bright, open and modern feeling which really makes for a good experience the moment you walk in. It's a well laid out store with a great selection of pretty much anything you can dream of clothing wise. I buy a lot of my more casual work clothes from here because they are just great quality, look and feel good and they are very durable and well worth the price. But there's lots more than that, they have a great selection of more dress-up style clothing as well as accessories, underwear, you name it! I rarely fail to find something that fits the bill when I come in here, and they do have some great deals at times. While like all stores in the outlets, it can get a little hectic sometimes (especially over holidays) they seem to generally handle it well, and I've never received anything but friendly service here, so overall what's not to like?

The store is clean, well laid out and well stocked, both with past season and current season items. If you catch it at the wrong time, good luck finding a place to park because the lot is tiny. Inside, the store isn't large, but it packs a punch for what it has. A lot of items are discounted 30% or 40% (or more, depending on the event). Some of the items are samples and/or irregular items, so the discount(s) can be pretty steep. One of the best parts of this is that for someone who is out of town, they will ship your purchase for free. So I always take advantage of that because why pack it in your luggage when they'll do that for you? It's a great outlet with pretty stellar deals and a great selection. 100% worth the stop.
