    Seafood, pasta, & fine dining

This place not only has a gorgeous view, but the food is incredible and will make your taste buds purr. Do yourself a favor and go! I suggest going off season and you will have a more personal experience.

Torre Normanna is located in an old historic building that is basically detached from the coast and out in the water! It definitely delivers on the appearance and coolness factors. Unfortunately, that's where the excellence ended for us. We ordered one of the sampler plates and our server entered our order for each of their two sampler plates (at 26 Euros each). Their sampler plates include very different items and I would recommend the non-raw plate... but either were great. For our dinner we ordered the Scialatelli with mussels, shrimp, and clams. When the plate arrived, about half of our clams were still closed... and it took A LOT of work to open all of them. That's not really acceptable and is disappointing. So while other Yelpers have suggested the Scialatielli, I just cannot agree with them. Overall, the food was all very pretty to look at, but bland in the taste department... which, arguably, is the most important characteristic of the dishes I want to stuff into my piehole. ***THREE STARS***

    Ulysses table and lobster pasta

My fiancé and I had our first dinner as an engaged couple at Torre Normanna! We sat at the Ulysses table and everything was perfect. The chefs menu was 10/10 perfect!! Our waiter was so kind, knowledgeable, and made our experience so special. The castle is over 1000 years old, and was just an incredible experience. Any time we are back in amalfi coast we will come here!

This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Located in an old castle and well appointed with views of the surrounding area. Would definitely return!

This was one of so many fine-dining establishments we dined at on our trip up and down the Amalfi coast, but it certainly left its mark. Built into an old Norman tower (quite literal translation) the view from here is unparalleled - you won't find better anywhere nearby. My experience with restaurants that have spectacular locations is that they tend to let the food quality slide, as people will still come for the view. This is not the case with Torre Normana! The food easily lives up to the expectations set by its surroundings, if not exceeding them. We were considering opting for the 6-course tasting menu, but were afraid we couldn't fit it all, so we made our own 3 course dinner comprised of one antipasto, 2 primi piatti, and 2 secondi piatti. I'm glad we did, as the portion sizes were so generous we were stuffed! I even overheard a neighboring table who had elected to do the tasting menu pleading with the waiter to stop the parade of food, haha. You'd best come hungry! The service was excellent as well, anticipating our every need and providing it. At the end they offered us complimentary limoncello (as many restaurants in the area do), but my wife was worried about the time we had to leave. They suggested we go up to the roof to take a picture while they processed our credit card, and when we returned to the table, there were two servings of limoncello waiting for us. So nice! Everything here is worthy of 5 stars, and the price (while a bit high for Italy) is a bargain for the food, service, and experience you receive. Definitely do not miss it.

Entrance to the restaurant. Previously an old watch tower searching for pirates!

Just a spectacular restaurant. Worth every penny! The views amazing the setting gorgeous. Great food and complimentary appetizer from chef and dark chocolate treats. Perfect for a romantic evening or a family out to enjoy a scenic meal. Staff were fabulous! Best restaurant by far on our trip! Cupid corner well worth it! My son proposed to his gf they made it so special for them. A night to remember for sure!

Beautiful, historical, classy, romantic, as good as it gets really. I was so quiet during dinner because I couldn't help but take the view in and notice how pretty everything around me was. We came here as a group of 6 and even though the place was full (on a Monday...you WILL NEED reservations)..we were treated as if we were the only ones there. Service was exceptionally attentive. The Restaurant focuses mostly on local seafood but we were able to get many non-seafood dishes. Their white house wine was the best house wine I had during my entire Italy trip. The plates look perfect (once you see this place inside and how everyone is dressed....no jeans...you wouldn't expect any less) and tasted just how they looked. I had a great spin on eggplant parmigiana. Even the dessert (lemon cake & pudding) blew us away...the waiter noticed that we were fighting over it that he gave my sugar friend and I an extra slice. Even though the title Says Pizzeria....there is a pizzeria on the other side of the castle but the main castle does not serve pizza for dinner.
