I visited this establishment recently and the employees were extremely kind and helpful. I am completely new to the world of electronics and yet the people here knew exactly how to introduce me to the art. One of the employees drew out an entire schematic to explain how a circuit worked for me. All of the employees were very helpful to the other customers at the store as well. One of the last true electronics parts store in the entire Los Angeles area. Years ago there were Fry's, Marvacs in Pasadena, Orvac's in Orange and Radio shacks. They are all gone. This place is a small operation with great service, large supply and good prices. Fuses, small switches, wiring of all sizes and so much more. Plenty of off street parking. read more

Great spot for all your electronic needs! Very old school! When you walk in, it can be a little overwhelming. There are parts EVERYWHERE! It's best to ask an employee to direct you for what you're looking for. Most of the stuff were not labeled, so they will basically give you a price when checking out. Was my first time visiting this business. Was greeted with rude and condescending attitude, as the staff were too busy assembling/testing electronics stuff of their own at the front counter and in the back room, and none of them even bothered to provide any help or advice and really didn't care whether you were there or not. The interior of this aging store looks like a mess with all sorts of components, materials, tools, old junk, dusty boxes on shelves, and things lying everywhere on the floor. This place is more suited for the technical hobbyist as opposed to the general electronics consumer looking for replacement parts, so for most folks, it would be a waste of time going there. read more

I cant say enough for a business such as this that still exists. I was very pleasantly surprised with the kind and friendly lady who took the time to confirm the parts I needed were correct for my application. Like another poster pointed out , all the "real" electronic component supply stores started closing their doors decades ago. Marvac Dow in Pasadena seemed like the first to go. With that said Torrance Electronics may well be the last vestige of a true electronics store in LA county maybe beyond. Was looking for a certain gauge of wire and was having issues find it. I went to Autozone, O'Reilly and finally Ace Industrial Hardware in Torrance they suggested to check them out and they were down the street. I checked them out and got the last roll of wire I needed. If your in need a electronic parts this is the place to go in South Bay. I knew of another shop but that was in the OC. read more

These guys really let me down and then where insanely rude basically told me they would have a product they forgot to order next day I explained how important it is and to please not tell me they can if they cannot. Old-school electronics stores where you can get electric components and raw wire, etc., are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This is one of the last remaining examples in the area. I brought in a small Vizio speaker, part of surround sound set, and I accidentally broke the input of the cord inside the speaker. One of the team members took the total speaker apart, lots of screws, cut off the input part, soldered a new part and I have a totally fixed speaker. You can't get better than this. Usually come here and have never had any issues but today when I went and tried to get help from the gentlemen there he didn't even bother looking at me he just mentioned he was busy and even told me "just look it up on YouTube". It's kind of a mess, but they have all the things you used to be able to get at Radio Shack or your local electronics store that no longer exists in Los Angeles. The staff is super helpful, and knows their stuff.
