    Tuesday: Laptop went black. Work IT spent an hour trying everything but no luck. Two huge filing…read moredeadlines next week. I was screwed. Deviceland was the only authorized Apple servicer that could see me that day. Dropped off the laptop. Went home angry at the world. Wednesday: Got a call from Sohail, the lead tech. He said that the part (a display card) had been ordered but he was unsure when it would arrive because the delivery service was showing only that the label had been created. He confirmed that he was able to back up my files. The following two things he did is why I am so happy: (1) Sohail carefully explained to me - a Luddite - what was damaged and what a replacement part could do to my laptop and (2) if I wanted to keep working on the two documents, he could loan me an external hard drive until my laptop was repaired. Thursday: Picked up the loaner external hard drive. Sohail did not charge me for it. Friday: Got my laptop back before lunch. It's working well! From now on, if I have any issues with any Apple product, I'm taking it to Sohail at Deviceland. No more waiting in line to see which blue T-shirt Apple genius at the Apple Store will help me.     Unfortunately, my experience with this repair center was far below expectations. My laptop only…read moreneeded a simple keycap replacement. While a few keys were replaced, one key that should have been addressed was completely missed, and two of the installed keycaps were improperly fitted, they weren't seated correctly. When I contacted the technician who performed the service, they dismissed the poorly installed keys as "fine to use" and insisted I trust their years of experience. They also told me to wait for a full keyboard replacement part that hadn't even been confirmed by the manufacturer/Apple. I explained that, regardless of any future replacement, the keys needed to be properly installed now so I could comfortably use my device. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the technician talked over me and continued to rely on their experience as an excuse, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. We eventually agreed, after I rearranged my own schedule, to have the technician return the next business day (this was a home-visit service) to correct their mistakes. Conveniently, they then reported a medical issue and canceled, saying they wouldn't be available until the following week, which also happened to be when they expected to hear back about the unconfirmed keyboard part. Ultimately, I had to contact Apple directly, which turned out to be the better option. Still, this repair center wasted my time and energy with misinformation, incomplete and poorly executed repairs, and an unwillingness to take responsibility. They expected me to wait on their timeline, blamed manufacturer policies and communications, and tried to steer the situation to their own convenience, all while I was left without a properly functioning computer. I do not recommend this repair center for any type of repair. You're better off dealing directly with the manufacturer or finding another service provider.

    I've been to this Apple Store many times, often accompanying my mom to make her Apple product…read morepurchases (3x) and occasionally to get support. They have always been extremely helpful. Last year she bought an iPhone 16 and they were very helpful answering her questions. Last week it was an iPad with the A16 chip. She thought she was only going to check out the new models, but realized that they have the color she wanted and it would be relatively easy to operate. Generally we're able to get help very quickly. Sometimes there are long lines during the holidays with sales. One time, I ordered an iPhone in advance and picked it up here. I didn't even have to set an appointment to pick it up. I just went once I received the notice saying it had arrived. Yes, I had to wait a few minutes because there were lots of people picking things up. But once I got my phone, they were very helpful answering questions while I got acquainted with my new device. They've always been very helpful with their support, being able to gear it to my mom, who is, admittedly, not very technologically savvy. Every person has been very patient with her and we always leave satisfied. It's a bonus that Manhattan Village is a relatively nice mall. The other stores here are decent and there are some nice restaurants. There's even a little artificial grass park with a fountain where you'll see lots of families letting their kids play.

Other repair…read morestores I called said there would be a several day wait, since they were busy Without an appointment, I walked in and spoke with Lian at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!
