For a place that publicizes it's history so proudly, what a horrible experience! My wife and I visited for the 1st time as we live just two minutes away, but I'd rather travel much further and get treated as a customer. Our waiter was as inattentive as anyone we've ever had, didn't greet us, didn't tell us he was busy (there were about 7 other tables being used, and one additional waitress). The young man that brought us our chips and salsa, and our waters, you could tell he was uncomfortable with how long it was taking, because before our waiter ever showed up, he was refilling our waters. Service was absolutely pitiful. Food was well below average as the chicken fajita meat was crumbles of chicken, instead of sliced strips of chicken. We had researched this place before coming, and were hoping the manager's comments were sincere, but it seems like the manager always types the same response, "we hope you will give us another chance to serve you better"....sir, you've been saying that for over a year, according to Yelp and Google, maybe it's time to turn over the reins to someone that cares about serving customers. This is one of the best Mexican food places in CdA/Post Falls. They begin with tasty salsa with chips. The hot has good flavor and plenty of punch. The staff is usually very helpful and friendly and takes good care of you throughout your visit. The food is pretty good. Portions are filling and generally cooked right. In my humble opinion they lack a little flavor which can be helped with a little salt. I just feel like a top notch restaurant shouldn't need to rely on adding salt. I have not one complaint about this restaurant. We sat at the bar. Devon was a very attentive waiter/bartender. The salsa served with complimentary chips, had a great depth of flavor. The margaritas were delicious, and huge! We ordered veggie fajitas, which featured broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, & onions. The flavor here was also excellent. If I could rate this zero stars I would. This place was was terrible. The food was bland and way over priced. We ordered margaritas and they were pretty much straight sweet and sour mix, you couldn't even taste the alcohol. My boyfriend has been living in postfalls for 7 years and had never been because of the negative things he has heard about it from the locals. However I convinced him to go so that we could make our own opinion. Well needless to say we will never go back and the negative comments were correct. If you Mexican food don't go here. Yummmmm. Tacos pastor was the best tacos my husband and I have ever had. I had the Mar Y Tierra, was so good. Nice good looking waiters as well. We had an awesome date. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the salsa did kinda taste like Pace and the chips are a little stale and bland. I've been to this restaurant numerous times since I live in the area, and all my experiences have been good. Service was fast and friendly, and I like the food I've had served. Usually I order #5 - a chili relleno and cheese enchilada (no meat for me) and it comes with beans and rice. Salsa and chips are served at the beginning of the meal. Always delicious. Also the coffee is okay. I'd rather have a mocha, but if there's only coffee, I'll drink that. It is a great place for after-church chats with friends. read more

By far, the worst Mexican food we have ever had. The child's taco was full of grease and unedible. The mild salsa had no flavor, the hot salsa had very little heat. The chips weren't made fresh, they came from a bag. The ground beef had a funny flavor and wasn't appetizing at all. The service was non existent, once the food was delivered, we were not checked back on, no refills, no pre bussing or anything. We had to ask for water and soda refills. If the server would have done their job, I probably wouldn't be so upset. I spent 31.28 to turn around and drive thru Taco Bell so my son can eat a taco that isn't drinched in grease. The staff was hanging at the bar telling jokes while the single white boy (busser) was trying to bus and reset tables. Even had to ask for our bill. You would be better off going to Azteca in Spokane it is about the same cost and the food is 100% better. I have had better enchiladas at Taco Bell, all the meats (chicken, ground beef and shredded beef) were all very wet not moist but wet and not in a good way sadly. Standard Mexican, pretty good. Some Yelpers say service is slow, we got To Go and service was prompt. I got the shrimp with garlic & mushrooms - Moriscos con ajo.
