I really wish they had sausage as a topping. I could have used a tiny bit more cheese, but the sauce and crust were tasty. They have a great drink selection. They offer a ton of wines. I'm not sure if it is standard policy, but we were offered a taste of most of the wines we asked about. I didn't love the sparkling wines except the rosé. They have several batch cocktails but the bartender can make drinks as well. It was a beautiful day and we planned to sit outside on the huge patio. However, the vibe outside was VERY different from the inside bar. There was a ton of kids and families outside, so we stayed in. Accessibility - The entire space inside and out is accesible. We did have to ask the DJ to move out of the way to get out of the doorway. If he had started to plan, I'm not sure how that would have gone. They don't have a wheelchair accessilbe bar, but the tables all allow for a wheelchair to fit underneath and they have table service.

I would love to return and actually eat here too - they have gluten free pizza that looked pretty good judging by the pics on Yelp. It's cool to see a place like this in an area of DC that doesn't get quite as much attention. There's so many amazing cocktail bars in DC but not as many incredible natural wine bars, so they really are doing themselves a favor by standing out with such a unique selection. The service was good! The happy hour deal is unreal for DC! They have happy hour everyday, including weekends, and it goes until 8pm. The cocktails during happy hour are $6! We each tried 2 cocktails. I had the Perfect Storm (3/5) and the Strawberry Lemonade (4/5). My partner had the Zeba Iced Tea (5/5) and the margarita (5/5). My fiancé accidentally spilled his drink, and the staff was super nice about it and helped clean up. We felt bad that we made a mess. We would definitely recommend checking out Zeba. They have an upstairs that we didn't get to check out, but they are open late and apparently have Latin dancing (Friday) and EDM (Saturday).

What's not to love? Yes, it's difficult to get on a table, but they're well worth the wait. It's BYO food (a plus in my book) and now vaccination-mandatory (they actually check records along with your ID when you walk in). It's also a wonderful respite from the craziness of 18th Street on a Friday or Saturday night. Also props to the literal Dungeons and Dragons crew shamelessly playing a session in the corner. Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. Perfectly seasoned, super crispy, and honestly surprising because I'm not usually a whiting fan--but this completely changed my mind. I also had the Players Club cocktail, which I really enjoyed. The ginger beer flavor and effervescence made it refreshing and easy to sip throughout the night. The bartender and food runner were incredibly sweet, the service was on point, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and easy. While the food leans toward standard American fare, the venue often features food vendors, adding a refreshing variety based on the event. Parking in the area can be a bit challenging, but I've usually been lucky enough to find street parking, even on snowy days. One area I'd like to see improvement in is the cocktail selection; I'm a fan of well-mixed drinks and would appreciate more options beyond the basics.
