Amazing Latin bar! The music was on point and the vibe was electric, perfect spot if you want to dance and have a wild night. Had a crazy fun time and would definitely come back for the energy and good drinks. Service was good.

Wow, what a fun experience. While I've heard about the dancing at night, I decided to try it for their food. With great happy hour menus (there's a main one and one each day and different times 6-8, and 7-9), it offers a diverse selection of food. I shared a Planchitas Sampler with one other person and it was a perfect amount of food. While usually not a fan of chicharrón, I really enjoyed theirs, but was not a big fan of the chicken. I did enjoy the yuca and plantains! For the drinks, the Bichota is on the sweeter side but otherwise a fun drink and the one I'd recommend The setting is a dark space. I would recommend coming for the dancing over the food, but it's not a bad restaurant to try

I CALL IT OLD FAITHFUL !! After trying to dance and have some fun at 3 other spots in Dupont (trying to find a new vibe), we ended up where we always know we'll have fun. The DJ (and his wife!) were fantastic, and the free friday shots were flowing ! The bartenders were generous, and the crowd well behaved for the most part... always solid !

I came here back to back. Once was for the club and ones was for the restaurant. My impressions of the club were that it was a nice vibe, however I would like to see more concrete variety of music playing on the different floors for example, have Reggaeton on one floor, but Chatta on one floor, EDM on another floor etc. I do not like EDM music at all and it was weird hearing it in the middle of Reggaeton... also one of the bars tried to charge me $5 for water. Um... no! As for the dinner, my friends and I had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed my meal. While my meal was enjoyable, I had very limited options on the menu. This restaurant definitely needs some improvements on accommodating for people with dietary restrictions. Literally the only thing on the entire menu that I could eat was the rice and beans and plantains. Like I said, the meal was great, but it's very frustrating to go to a restaurant and have almost no options.

This place had such a fun atmosphere. There it's tons of cute decor and Latin music! The food is also very authentic to Latin culture which I appreciate! I would recommend the regular margarita because the strawberry margarita was a little too sweet. And the arepa con queso is delicious!

Pranced upon this bar randomly as we passed by and so glad we did! There was a random Vday bar crawl so we took part for only a little while but it was fun while it lasted. Dj played great Latin songs for dancing and salsa dancing. Good music, lively crowd, good drinks, and cute decor! There is a basement and upstairs level too but we didn't get to them. The crowd was a bit young though, not gonna lie.. maybe 21-25 (maybe even some younger). The only annoyances were these same few guys that kept interrupting our dancing when we were clearly not interested.

This place was amazing! The food was amazing! The service was fantastic! We had a huge variety of things in our group and it was all delicious. Especially enjoyed were the arepas with any filling, the empanadas, and the plátano madura. We are visiting, but we'd go back anytime!

Special set up for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary from Ernesto, the manager!

First I'll rate the place in whole: Food is excellent. Great portions and prices. Place is super clean and fun. Awesome music. Next the special review: Ernesto, the manager of Cafe Citron went above and beyond for us!! We are so thankful for him! I called him a day before our anniversary celebration asking if they had anything special they could do for an anniversary package. It had been almost 3 years since my husband had been able to get away for our anniversary due to the pandemic and him being terribly sick before and in the hospital. We were finally ready to go out this year and have a good time. Ernesto explained that although they didn't have anything there to offer, he would help me devise a plan. He went above and beyond, picking up & decorating with the decorations I had ordered, and offering us a spot to park right out front of the place! He and the rest of the staff were so attentive with any need or want we had the whole night. It made for a special experience we will remember the rest of our lives. We will definitely be back! And Ernesto definitely deserves a raise!

The actual hookah was mid at best for D.C I was expecting a lot better. Then when it came to the bill we were charged $4 for each bottle (of which we were not even told there was a charge at all for water, and no we did not specifically ask for a sealed bottle all we asked for was water the sever never said tap or bottled, she just automatically brought us sealed) when on the menu they were priced at $3.50 sure it's .50 but when there was five that .50 extra could have almost bought another bottle. Also when she brought the bill she did not even show the itemized bill at first all she showed was the tip screen which upon doing the math from what we ordered vs paid we realized the amount was way higher than what we got and so we asked for the copy of the receipt only to find out there was ALREADY a service charge on there of which was NOT a credit card charge because we paid in cash and when asked what the cash total was she told us $60.31 yet the copy showed the cash price was $57.91 also they charge for charcoal, what am i suppose to do bring my own charcoal? i've never had to pay extra for charcoal they just include it with hookah price, absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the vibes in this place is like an absolute funeral, all the pictures made this place look so fun and great, but no it was worse than funeral. I felt even more so like i was at a funeral after I realized how badly my wallet was robbed. I will never come back here.

A meal with a VIEW!…read more I travel a lot for work, which means I get the pleasure of sharing meals with colleagues, friends, and sometimes people I've only just met. This past week brought me to Washington, DC for a banking conference, and somehow a work trip turned into one of those nights you know you're going to remember. We were invited to VUE Rooftop for sunset, cocktails, dinner, and a table full of new and old friends. First, THAT VIEW. You are so ridiculously close to the White House that I felt like if a staff member walked past a window naked, I'd be able to count their pores. Probably a little more government transparency than anyone asked for, but you get the idea. The view is incredible. There were nine of us around the table, watching the sun set over Washington while working our way through cocktails and some seriously good food. We shared burrata, crab cakes, steak tartare, and plenty more around the table. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delivered. Is it a little pricey? Yep. But you're also paying for one heck of a front-row seat to Washington, DC. Thankfully, the food holds its own against the view, so it doesn't feel like you're paying premium prices just for the scenery. The night ended with lots of laughter, pictures on the indoor swing, and then there may or may not have been an adventure involving electric scooters through Washington, DC. We don't talk about that part. It's like Bruno. I have the bruises. That's all you need to know. So we'll stick to the important stuff: fantastic company, delicious food, great cocktails, an incredible sunset, and one unforgettable view. VUE Rooftop did not disappoint.
