The outdoor concept is unique and inviting, and with the World Cup on the screens, the atmosphere was lively and fun from start to finish. For lunch, we ordered the Jeferoni Pizza and the Street Corn Pizza. Both were delicious, and I would gladly order them again. The Jeferoni Pizza was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of toppings. The Street Corn Pizza was good, but the drizzle on top was a bit heavy for my taste. As someone who loves street corn, I felt the pizza would have been even better with less sauce so the other flavors could shine. Great weather, great vibes, and great food made this an easy recommendation. The metrobar is in an outfitted Metro car, with a bar and a seating area. We came here for a get-together for work during the holidays, and I loved the holiday lights and the festive mood! I tried some of their seasonal drinks, which were pretty strong; the toddies are warm, but could have been more apple-forward. Came here for Funset and this is good location with a lot of space but they need more staffing. Only had 1 bartender at the outside bar so the wait was ridiculous. Inside bar and seating was packed as well. Dj and music is always on point for Funset with a great mix of old school jams. They have oven made pizza on-site with a failry quick turnaround time. Experienced a Day Party at this venue and it was super spacious with different vendors available. I ordered a custom made pizza from El Jefe's pop up and it was hearty. It was priced efficiently for a whole pizza. They had a variety of toppings to add to their curated list to give it a custom feel. Surprised to see a full list of non-alcoholic options and I loved it. Was able to order from a QR code that is unique to each table and the waiter appeared promptly. I've visited Metrobar a couple of times for events and had great times. You can visit the bar outside or inside of the train car. They have a pizza set up inside so there's a food option. I love the open tab/QR code situation they have. Lost a star because on my last visit, a bartender overcharged me by $10 for a drink. I didn't notice until afterwards but that was my fault for moving too fast. Needless, to say I didn't order another that day. Inside Metrobar there is El Jefe Woodside Pizza. I tried it when watching a World Cup game and I was impressed. Unfortunately, the size was not as big as I expected but it was good. Definitely goes well with a beer. I look forward to trying it again when I go back. read more

What a cute concept! I've heard about Metrobar but finally went recently. During the cooler evenings, there are heaters for the outside seatings, and inside the car is just as toasty. Ordering is a little weird. You can order drinks from the bar or scan the QR code. However, when using the QR code, the drinks come from outside, not made by the bartender in the metro car. There's also food on side where you can go outside and order or you can scan the food QR code. However, ordering from the QR code, you have to pick up the food a little ways down from the bar. Now that the concept is more understood, it'll be easier for me to order more appropriately. read more

We had never been to this place even though we live half a mile from here. One of our friends recommended this place. Unfortunately, it was so packed that we hardly got to enjoy the location. We didn't realize it was the finals of the women's soccer league and the spirits were playing in it. It was packed with the fans. They have a couple of food truck options - Jamaican and pizzas. I ordered the Jamaican food and my friend ordered the pizza. Unfortunately, the Jamaican truck ran out of most of their meat options. I ordered their chickpeas and rice and patty. It was alright. This place is really cool and unique. It's mostly an outdoor bar, but it has a stage and it has an actual metro car where you can hang out. This is in a really cool area of town and there's lots going on. You can see bands here or just get a drink with friends in the sunshine. It's a lot of fun! read more

I caught a bug and my Big Spoon made me get out of the house. He wanted to try Metrobar DC. I've been several times since it's close to the Alamo, he was late to the party and it's not often that he is. I came to Metrobar for a Black Wine and Spirits Festival. The concept is truly unique, a bar inside of a train car. The only downside, no air conditioning whatsoever. They rely on fans and with a heatwave like today, that does not cut it. There are seating options inside the train and outside, which is ideal for an event with vendors like today. read more

This is the cutest and most innovative spot. When I first heard of MetroBar I wasn't interested but then said ehh what the hell?!? And Im glad I did. Dropped in last summer for Bey Day and it was too cute. Vibes on vibes on vibes and the drinks are excellent. Went back for a special trivia event last week and it was SO lit. Wish wasnt late cause I woulda won fo sho (brushing shoulders off). What I love is there is close parking and you can go to the eatery across the way that has a great selection of multi-national cuisines that you can bring back to metrobar to enjoy there (they dont serve food... yet). Metrobar is a quick stop to grab drink. The don't have food to order but they did have a Jamaican food truck. When I can to DC Greek Picnic. Located near Bryant Street Market (a food hall), it's a large space with outdoor seating, an outdoor patio, and an old Metro car that's now a bar. My buddy and I walked in on a Wednesday evening, got our IDs checked at the door, and grabbed a table in the actual Metro car. There's a QR code on each table where you can order and pay. The drink list is pretty big with specialty cocktails, house cocktails, beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Their $14 basic margarita was refreshing. With daily programming, jazz was playing when we walked in. It wasn't too loud. You could carry on a conversation while also enjoy the music. There's a paid parking lot nearby. read more

Metrobar DC is exactly like how I'd mention what if you were able to drink inside the train itself. Destination where though? This place is trendy as it features ample seating inside or outside the train with an additional outdoor seating area for shows/performances/ect. It's very good if you were to go with a group of friends. We went here for Comedy Night and while it was great entertainment, I honestly wanted to try out the drinks here. You can order through the QR code they have at tables where someone will deliver the drinks to you or you could just go up to the bar counter yourself and just order it that way. From my experience, it took longer than half an hour for my Moscow Mule to come to me and I was honestly shocked. I was sitting at a round table right in front of the bar counter so I was just unsure why it took so long. Granted that it wasn't busy when I went as people walked up, ordered, and got their drink in minutes I couldn't really determine what was the hold up. When my drink actually did come, it was actually good so I will give the barista props for that. There's a food truck that comes every weekend in rotation with other food trucks so look at their schedule if you want to see what is the current truck that'll be there that week. My friend ordered food from there that was present at the time ( I think it was Indonesian food ) and said that the food is really good so give it a shot! After Comedy Night ended I ended up wanting to try a beer but unfortunately I picked something that was a bit too sour for me. The City State IPA is something I don't recommend unless you like Sour Beers. Overall the place is cool to visit and it's also right next to the Alamo Drafthouse and the Rhode Island Center if you like art attractions too. Two friends and I went to Metrobar after attending a concert nearby. I actually like this place. It was a Friday night and there was plenty of seating outside. What I think is great is that there were all ages there. 21 to 81 looked like. The vibe was that there was no vibe. Come, have a drink, mingle with your people or with others - just chill. Really disappointed with my first visit to this establishment. I went in with a group of friends, all first-timers as well for Trivia Wednesday on 6/11 and I have to say the space itself it's really cute, I had been looking forward to visit metrobar for a very long time but the service was very disappointing. Me and my husband ordered drinks from the bar using their QR code, when the drinks were delivered, we asked about how the food situation worked with the nearby Bryant Street Market, we didn't know if the food would be delivered or we had to pick it up, we were told that we would have to pick it up. We also asked the waiter if we could also order drinks to which she replied yes so we did. We we were coming in with the food and drinks the security guard would not let us bring in the drinks despite explaining that we had been given consent by one of the waiters, manager also got involved and managed the situation worse than the security guard. I feel the situation was handled very poorly, and left us with a really bad first impression of the place. The management could have been more accommodating considering that we had gotten prior approval from one of their staff, and just let us know for future awareness that, that is not something they allow. read more

Very cool concept and definitely worth your time! There is plenty of seating inside when it's colder or inclement weather, both within the train itself and the covered connected area. There's also a large outdoor seating area which would be lovely in the spring and summer. The cocktails might seem simple, but they're effective and use local distilleries as much as possible! I also loved that they had hot cocktails during the winter - very much welcome. They also have mocktail options listed on their menu which is perfect for those that don't want alcohol. There is a good selection of beer, wine, cider and liquors. Food is only available from food trucks on a rotating schedule, so check it out online on their website. Not a bad spot - and a vibe on a Sunday with a lot of great people watching. A ton of the seating areas were reserved and the back area of the metro car was all reserved for an event as well. A lot of chaos was going in at the security area but we got in ok but were confused on where the bar areas were at.
