We stopped in Waco and ordered a spread--salmon bowl, chicken bowl, quesadilla, crossroads taco, and of course, queso. Everything tasted fine, nothing suspicious, but little did we know that lurking inside was a bacterial surprise package waiting to detonate. Within hours, our family of five (plus some brave friends with us) were suddenly becoming connoisseurs of Waco's restroom scene. We didn't plan on patronizing half the city's bathrooms, but thank you for the unintentional "toilet tour of Waco." Our kids were especially confused--one moment enjoying tacos, the next wondering why their tiny bodies betrayed them so dramatically. These are great tacos! We had never been to a Torchy's location and we stumbled upon this while looking for lunch. We were in Waco about 6 months ago. We love Torchy's so we're excited to see there was one in Waco! We had a not so great experience & posted a review with pictures. Management quickly contacted us & let us know they would try harder. That's all we ask: care about your business & your customers! And I hate writing bad reviews so we removed the review after management acknowledged the issues. Plus it was right after Covid so they were still trying to hire & train new staff. After reading the reviews, "college-great" is how I would describe Torchy's. We came after hearing so many great things from our friends. It was absolutely packed on a Sunday night with the line out the door. The chips and queso was hands down the best thing on the menu. The chips were so crispy and flavorful!
