If you don't know about Torchy's, it's an Austin concept for quick gourmet tacos. They are soft tacos on corn or flour tortillas, and they have a monthly promotion for a speciality taco. If you don't know, get the Trailer Park taco and get it Trashy...it's the taco they built the chain on! They have even added a Beyond Beef taco for people seeking vegan or vegetarian options. If you are familiar with Torchy's, this is the brand new addition to the Alliance corridor. The margaritas were 3 sips. When I was finished, the glass was completely still full of ice! Need a little more balance for a $10 house margarita, you don't really need to squeeze the profit that bad. The taco's are on point, and the kitchen was very quick, which we appreciated. The queso was yummy, too! The outstanding stars of the restaurant were the cleaning crew. I saw every window cleaned while we were there, and both sets of doors cleaned twice! I'm used to taking my empty plates to the trash, but as soon as I finished, someone was there to clear my table. I know it's new, and they are looking for something to do, but I hope the manager keeps this up! read more

I've always had great experiences at Torchys Tacos. If you've never been, it's a restaurant where you order super unique delicious tacos that you don't normally see at a traditional restaurant. You order up at the counter (I highly suggest looking up the menu before hand as the names of the tacos don't mean anything compared to their ingredients) and then they'll bring you your food to your table. The portion sizes are very large so I would only consider ordering at most 2 unless you're REALLY hungry. They also have an awesome bar and their margaritas are actually really good. I also think they've got some of the best queso around, so check that out too! I believe their chips and salsa have unlimited refills as well, but I may be mistaken there Anyway, if you're in the mood for a unique taco experience, definitely check out Torchys! read more

Jennifer was the best. She was on point with all of our orders very attentive, sweet soul. She also offered suggestions for other cocktails on the menu. We ended up realizing that she makes the best bloody Mary in the area and we can't wait to come back next weekend again. They also do a taco of the month, which I definitely think you should try! I would say definitely ask the staff for their opinion on the flavor of the month because they do have a lot of unique flavors that are built into the meals so it may not be for everyone. This location is fairly new near my neighborhood. It's been some years since I've been to a torchy's and remembered the queso standing out and the tacos, being unique, packed and flavorful. I have to say that the experience this time was a little disappointing, maybe because, my pallet has developed since my last visit. I ordered a Baja Shrimp, Green Chile Pork, Mr Orange and a Crossroads. The shrimp in the Baja was fried, and I did not like it. There's an option to get grilled shrimp, which probably would've been more to my taste. The highlight was the crossroads, with the green chili pork a close second. I have a soft spot for fish tacos, but unfortunately Mr. orange disappointed. We also ordered some queso which was substandard in my opinion. As a counter service place, the service was as expected. They made a mistake with our receipt and added some items we didn't order and were quick to remove them for us. Overall a pretty positive positive experience from the crew, but I won't be hurrying back here for the food. read more

We were In search of a quick Tex-Mex meal and found this restaurant close to our location based on a Yelp search. After reading the reviews and looking at pictures, we felt it was worth a visit. Being that we were unfamiliar with this establishment, we asked the counter person for some recommendations. She was very gracious and accommodating. She suggested the trailer park as being a popular choice. We decided to have one for each of us. I also had the Baja shrimp while my wife added the fried avocado to her order. We also ordered their chips and salsa and a shot of tequila. Food delivery was quick and looked appetizing. Unfortunately, that was the best of it, neither of us was particularly pleased with the food. The trailer park tacos were overpowered by the cheese which we thought was the reason for the high salt content. After reducing the cheese by one half or more, we found that the cheese was not the only culprit. This carried on through to the other tacos that were also very salty. The heavy-handed saltiness extended to the chips and was almost inedible when combined with the salsa. I ended up having to tap each chip on the tray to reduce the salt so as to partake of the salsa. The salsa was tasty and spicy and would be incredible with some unsalted chips. Overall, the restaurant was clean and well maintained. Lookin' forward to this one opening; we have never been in a Torchy's location we didn't like, but now we have one pretty close to home! Our first visit here, something awkward-but-good happened. Wifey 'n I were in the mood for the same thing, I ordered 3 breakfast tacos, she 2, plus some chips 'n drinks. When our order came out, it was just 3 tacos total. We mentioned we had 2 more, the server went back to make the others. As we began eating and I second-guessed myself, thinking about the total etc., I realized we hadn't actually paid for 5, but just 3. So we did get what we actually paid for. So I went up to the counter and spoke with a couple of the staff, one I think mighta been a manager, and made good on what I think happened (that I might have mumbled or was not heard correctly) but I wanted to make good on paying for the others lost in the process, to do what's right 'n all. They were very understanding and said it was all good, which was very nice. I felt like a heel "goofing up their flow" and ending up with free food (when times are what they are). I'm sure y'all get me. Anyway, they were all just great and very understanding. Great staff. BTW, y'all be nice to the service people all the time, it's a good habit when sometimes "we customers" are the ones who made the boo-boo, so it pays off in never looking like "a karen." HAA! Anyway, who doesn't love a brand-new restaurant? Of course everything is flawless-looking. And I do like this particular location, nice and open, large windows, really bright and feeling spacious. As much as I like the other locations, some of them feel a bit cramped and dark in the back sort of thing. This one is the most "sunny feeling" location I've been in. I'm interested to see how the whole parking lot situation will end up when the HEB opens alongside. I get the feeling it's going to be a bit chaotic and "under-nurished for parking spaces" in busy hours. But maybe it'll end up the opposite, super convenient to park in the middle and take care of both in the same stop. I'm curious how that'll pan out in a few months. This location is brand new and is one of the few businesses open right now! They were very busy the day that we came but we didn't have any issues with finding a table. The service was quick and we got our food in a reasonable time. The outdoor patio is dog friendly!! They have umbrellas out there as well. I would return here! read more

New location for us so dropped in for lunch today. I ordered the American, the monthly special and the Trailer Park. Both feature fried chicken as the protein and the American adds chopped bacon. Trailer park is superb! Crispy chicken, great fillings, fresh and a great tortilla. Full, but the tortilla never wavered and held together to the end. The American was also fried chicken but added pineapple slaw, Monterey Jack cheese and cilantro with a great chipotle sauce. Very full, a little hard to eat but again the tortilla held to the end. The Wife had the Baja Shrimp and loved it. The only full spot was the Tipsy Chick grilled chicken. She said the bacon marmalade was very hard to eat. I spent 43 seconds at the register and they asked for a tip on the card machine. I never tip when it's asked for electronically. Bathrooms were very clean, serviced, and smelled clean. SO glad to see a Torchy's open in the alliance area! We tried this location for the first time and were extremely satisfied. For starters, there is ample parking available, which is a huge plus. There was plenty of indoor seating and a spacious patio: dog friendly! This location also features a full service bar, which was a unique perk. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and accommodating. The quality of the food here is on par with what I expect from Torchy's. Typically, I order the Airstream salad. It's by far one of my favorite dishes. I love to add blackened salmon! If you're a Torchy's regular, you know their queso is the best. Definitely worth paying a visit to this location! First time to dine in. I have had catered meals. We met friends at the north Fort Worth location at 3330 Tracewood Way. Extremely busy area with rude dangerous drivers hope you can make it from your car to the restaurant door. But at least you will be run over by a very expensive car. The restaurant was clean and organized with kind staff. After you order from one of many kiosk or the single cashier, you are given a geo-tracking device that allows the servers to find you and deliver the meal. There are several tasty items to choose from. All items are ala carte average $6 per taco and $3 per side plus your drink starting at $2 for bottled water. My sponsor had the Green Chili Pork Corn Tortilla with a side of rice. I had a Baja Shrimp Flour Tortilla with Refried beans (pinto beans). The flavors were rich and deep. Don't try to kiss your date after the meal or you will end the relationship. It took a few hours to cleanse the onion and garlic from our palate. Oh the risk of great flavors. read more

on 10/11/2023 we had lunch at this Torchy's on 3330 Tracewood Way, Fort Worth, Texas 76244 and our server Diane Richard was AMAZING from the time we ordered until after we finished our lunch. Diane was awesome during the ordering process and right up until the time we were leaving. Diane was a real team player and helper as well as having an awesome attitude. Our food was delicious, fresh and tasted so good, we had salads as well as tacos and chips and queso. It was encouraging to see so much energy from team members keeping customers happy and keeping the restaurant clean. My wife, son, and I have been waiting to try this place and finally got some free time this past Saturday and gave it a try. I am happy to say that we had a great experience and all left there rather full...haha. Being a Saturday afternoon, we expected it to be busy, and sure enough, the place was almost full when we arrived. We placed our orders and found a table to sit at and waited for our orders. There were only a couple of vacant tables available but the staff was busy cleaning tables and helping guests throughout the restaurant. They brought out our appetizers almost immediately and we were pleasantly surprised at both the speed and appearance of the items. We ordered the queso and chips and the elote dish. The queso had a little spice to it and was perfect for my taste buds. The elote dish had a unique flavor and was unlike any other elote dish I have had, and I say that in a positive way. It is rather rich so you have to enjoy it at a slower pace. They brought out our tacos after about 10 minutes and we were enjoying our appetizers so we didn't mind. I ordered the Ace of Spades and the Crossroads tacos. The Ace of Spades is a beast and comes on two tortillas. The hardest part was trying to pick it up to eat it. Both my tacos were very good and fulfilling to say the least. My wife had the Republican and the Trailer Park tacos and said she enjoyed both. My son had two of the Wrangler breakfast tacos and said he would get them again. The place was clean and the staff were very polite and diligent in helping the customers.
