All the employees were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Constant refills on solid black coffee and great conversation. One of the best parts of this place is the decor and vibe. Beautiful old architecture, big windows with natural light, and old fashioned furniture and kitchen equipment. It's such a cute little place and feels very home-y. Plus it's on a very nice street in Steilacoom nice and close to the water. Outstanding place to visit on a warm sunny morning for some delicious American classics.

The restaurant pleasantly asks if you're a single patron, to sit along the window during busy hours. Cafe has monthly specials that we took advantage of, a large selection of refreshing and caffeinated drinks, art for sale and ice cream that was suggested to order today, but will reserve for next time, and there will be a next time. Staff was super helpful and friendly making this a pleasant experience. We will be making this a regular stop in future family visits.

I have now been to Topside Coffee Cabin three times. The first time I went, I had ordered a hot chai tea latte and a chocolate chip scone which was wonderful. However the past two times I have been there, I have ordered a Frappuccino, which I can tell you was not enjoyable. The drink was barely blended and was not icy like a normal Frappuccino should be. Today, I ordered a Chocolate Chip Frappe which clearly did not taste like there was any chocolate chip flavor. The ice melted very soon after the barista handed me my drink. Additionally, my friend had ordered a Strawberry smoothie which is just syrup with ice. The drink melted rapidly and you could see the divide between the frothy ice and the syrup. I was under the impression that their smoothies would be made with frozen/fresh fruit, some milk, and well blended ice, but that was not the case. Their version of a smoothie was not a smoothie. It was simply liquid strawberry syrup with some lightly blended ice. Not impressed, almost like a whipped snow cone. Lastly, I have taken my dog into this shop before and the cashier has asked if I have wanted a puppucino for my dog. I appreciated the offer though declined and just bought a drink for myself. However, as I stood there waiting for my drink to be made, the barista said to me "just so you know, we don't allow dogs in here." My friend and I both were surprised as there are no obvious signs which tell us this information. In addition, their drinks are pricey for a drink that isn't even made right. I paid $4.50 for an icy cold drink which didn't stay icy for long. I would love to support this cute coffee shop but I genuinely think that the drinks should be true to what you are paying for. read more

We both have specific dietary preferences and usually prefer drinks with very low sugar. She took the time to listen carefully and recommended something that would suit our taste. I honestly couldn't believe how perfectly she balanced the drink--it had just the right flavor with minimal sugar, exactly the way we like it. What really stood out was her hospitality. The shop itself was neat, organized, and very clean, which immediately made the experience feel comfortable. When she handed us our coffees, she made sure to check that everything was according to our taste and preference. That personal touch meant a lot. Their **menu also looked very unique**, with some really interesting drink options that you don't usually see at typical coffee places. If we ever drive through that route again, we will absolutely make it a point to stop at **Coffee Kitchen**.
