5 of my friends and I had the unfortunate luck of visiting here today. Despite the fact that all 6 of us are actually 21 years old, they told us that our real driver licenses were "obviously fake". We told them to get their security and have them check our IDs as we obviously were fine with them being inspected or scanned. Shortly after the manager comes out and starts giving us attitude and that they weren't serving us. I wish we called the cops so they could verify our IDs, and to put this asshole in her place, but for some reason we didn't want to make a scene. She kept arrogantly insisting that this is her job and that she's a professional at checking IDs but all I saw was someone who was unacceptably aggressive towards customers who were trying to legally drink. Review- despite expecting the experience to be mediocre it still disappointed. The manager's lack of professionalism and competency lost their business 300+ dollars of alcohol sales today and multiple customers for life. read more

This is the first top golf I've been to in the Illinois area but let me just say this will be the last. Food was subpar to say the least. I went on game 1 of the nba finals because of a graduation party taking place on the same day. We booked prior reservations and spent a fair amount of money we had a simple request to put the game on the television i maybe talked to five or six workers all who said they would fix the problem and never returned with even a simple explanation that it may not be possible request just fell on deaf ears. When I initially walked in the young lady at the front counter had a very snappy attitude with me I was also in Naperville where I'm sure they don't get a lot of black groups she immediately assumed I didn't have a reservation after I already stated 2-3 times that we already had a party awaiting us. Went out for my fiancé's birthday and with a baby at home we have not been out in months, did not stay as long as we wanted to because they definitely are very lax with their "intense Covid percussions" . Beware going there during Covid, guests walking around with no masks and staff not saying anything. Putting guests at each bay without spacing them out when they have room. This was my third time here and as my husband, our friends and myself were leaving bay 323 my husband left his Nike club and a worker took my husband club and tried to keep it like it was his. Worst experience ever! First we waited 3 hours to even get in, then finally when we got in the service was terrible. We ordered food and it took an hour for them to bring it to us. Stopped by for dinner and to play a round of golf tonight. While awaiting our bay, we sat at the rooftop terrace to have a drink and a few appetizers. After about 45 minutes, we tried to order a second round of drinks and were refused service for being "too intoxicated". My husband and I had been happily enjoying our time at the rooftop and had not had anything to drink prior to our arrival. We decided to leave and attempted to speak with a manager upon departure. The general manager was highly aggressive and accusatory. (To note, the manager got within inches of my husbands face while wearing a neck gaiter as a mask...which most studies show may be worse than not wearing a mask at all...so much for their "heath and safety measures".) We were only trying to inform him of the poor service and then he threatened to throw us out. Once in a while we come here to play. But it has been awhile since last time we were here. So one Friday night, we decided to have a round of drinks at the bar. Hubs ordered beer and I ordered my delicious Dirty Ketel Martini. This is my go to drink so maybe I am too judgmental on this. However, for $16, THAT'S RIGHT, $16 my expectation is high. They serve the martini in a huge glass but fail to serve a proper 3oz martini. This martini was drenched with olive juice with no taste of vodka, not even a hint. The nice bartender remade a new one. 2 oz vodka olive juice & dry vermouth! Apparently I have to specify no dry vermouth in a dirty martini. The Ritz Carlton in downtown Chicago doesn't even charge $16 for a fancy cocktail. How can Top Golf be charging $16 for a 2.5oz martini?!? Officially off my list. read more

Third time at this location and made a reservation and me and three other friends were excited to swing the clubs. Also to get a bite to eat and have a few drinks. Well the golf and drinks were fine but when asking to order some food we were told the kitchen is being remodeled and there are no food options. I was like maybe we should have been informed of this before hand or maybe put it on your website. Managers response was sorry nothing we can do. Well maybe if you knew this project was going to happen how about plan some catering or food trucks for your customers to have some food options since you obviously do not inform them of the kitchen being closed. Meh. I've had much better golfing experiences. Topgolf is popular because it's a place where everyday Joe's and Jane's can go and golf and feel comfortable. There were these girls next to us, literally swinging the club like it was a shovel or other yard tool. Le sigh. It's also non-golfer friendly in that they supply you with a set of clubs at every bay. Topgolf would get more points in my book if it wasn't so DAMN EXPENSIVE. Drinks- $10 (and $7 beer I think), the bays are $45/hr, and the food is just okay priced at like $15 for an okay-sized share plate. It'as pretty cool how everything is digitized for the game. I believe all you yelpers know how it works- you get more points the closer to the flags you get. And, it is a brand new facility, I get that they are trying to recoup the costs. But for someone like me who enjoys hitting balls, and appreciates a real game of golf, stick to the links. read more

This top golf was freaking awesome. Maybe nicer than the other location but both are fun! We had to wait 1.5hours to get in because we didnt have a reservation but thats fine! We had drinks and had fun before hand in the bar, shot some pool, than golfed for 2 hours! If you havent been here check it out. Its jot your regular game of golf and youll have a blast! First of all, booking online was very misleading, and a big joke!! We had a party of 9, but only 7 were golfers. Because a bay only allows 6 golfers, we had to book 2 bays. When we did, it labeled us as "an event." We purposely went on a Tuesday for half off golf. Little did we know that an event is not considered for half off. Our bill was outrageous - well over $500 for a two hour long event!! No manager was on hand that night, so we called the following day to dispute the charges. Josh (the manager) got back to us and was extremely rude and unprofessional!! We received no adjustment on our bill or any satisfaction whatsoever!! Word of mouth gets around, and we will be telling everyone of our horrible, expensive experience. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!! read more

I give this location 3 stars...I would give it 2 but the facility itself is beautiful & state of the art. I have two gripes I mwith this place after being there 3 times in their first two weeks that if not fixed lol just take my money back to wooddale. 1) is that $45 an hour after 5pm is a slap in the face to the top golf regulars. I get that it's Naperville and it's a new star of the art location but $45/he makes you rush therefore making it less fun. Discounts should be provided with purchase of drinks or food. I Went there with 2 friends and we played a total of 4 games over 3 hours and all had ordered food and multiple drinks...ended up spending $100 each....I can play 4 18 hole rounds at good courses with golfnow rates for that much... 2) Most, not all, of the employees there are incompetent, rude, and just in the way. They'll try whatever they can to either waste your precious $45/hr time...and they know it. Then when they feel like you are done ordering from the bar or kitchen they'll be very pushy to get you out of there... If they change the way the leagues are played and paid from how they do it in wooddale and ruin my winter plans... I might start a pocket line cuz I love the winter leagues. Kari, our event coordinator, was perfect about communicating and explaining all of the different options and details of our event from start to finish. We also had a menu change that Nick, the food & beverage manager, was able to accommodate for us at the last minute. The Holiday Feast package was delicious and was a hit with everyone. Lastly, our server Melissa S., was AMAZING! She REALLY went above and beyond to take care of our entire group. She was also very patient explaining how the game works to us new to the concept. I think this place is great! I'm not the best golfer, but I am very competitive. We've been here a couple times and I prefer to come in the mornings- the pricing is much more reasonable ($25/hour) and they have good mimosas. And, a decent beer selection. We played a couple hours here the other night for a pal's birthday. The service was lagging- horribly- but our waitress let us know that they only had one bartender. I appreciate when servers communicate issues. I ordered the crab cakes and they were decent. Obviously, this is not a seafood restaurant. My husband got a huge burger with an egg and polished it off quickly. The doughnut holes are a diet ruiner for sure. Overall, a fun experience with decent food/drinks. Our family visited this venue recently. A little pricey but overall from an "experience" stand point it was worth it. My wife and daughters don't golf so it was amusing watching them struggle but have fun at the same time. We tried two appetizers (steak nachos and Buffalo chicken flatbread)... both were excellent!! This was my first time at top golf and had a great time with friends. I like that it doesn't talk much skill in golf to enjoy yourself but I do wish further holes scored more points though. The place clean and a cool hangout. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried. The food was a bit overpriced but was good. The bloody mary was fantastic! The three stories make it seem more interesting than a driving range. We only ordered fries to eat, but they have a fairly large menu that seemed moderately priced. Golf was fun but the food and service was horrible. Chicken sandwich was burnt and the chicken wings where cold. We paid $200 for a party of 4 and still ended up going elsewhere to eat. Walked to area and before we could even put the purses down or a child down the young man explained the games and computer and fans and tv and clubs phew! We kindly inform her we just got there and needed to get situated and she then says we only have one hour and if we surpass the hour they will ask us to move/leave!!!!! Talk about penny pinching. Overall ordered 2 apps, no drinks, and rushed to play our interrupted and rushed hour.... all at the small cost of $100. Won't be coming back!!! Ps. Top Golf is to golf what Wii Sports is to bowling. Slightly more fun than the real thing, but 100% less serious. You can also get kinda trashed and it's still socially acceptable! That is to say, even if you're not a golfer (like me), you'll have a fun time with your broskis, downing brewskis and apps. It's not what I would call a cheap afternoon, but with five or six people you can share the costs to get them down to a reasonable level. I was a bit disappointed by the cocktail menu, though. If you're into sweet things, great! They have margaritas, sangrias, ten different kinds of fruity sugary punches, and some unidentifiable mixes of liqueurs. But if you're like me and the mere sight of alcoholic sugar water like that on the menu gives you a hangover, you'll be disappointed. The beer list is okay, and I can't speak for the wine, but non-sweet cocktails are in short supply. The food is okay. I dunno. You'll probably get some regardless, and it kinda reminds me of Chili's or TGIFriday's. In fact, the entire menu is like those chain neighborhood restaurants. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but don't go in expecting gourmet cuisine. All in all, just go. You'll have fun, even if the scoring system for most of the games is cryptic and poorly explained. read more

Wait time after ordering food was over an hour, and when it was dropped off by kitchen staff/runner we mentioned that we had no silverware and part of order was missing. So, by the time we could get the attention of anyone working there to get utensils to eat with, food was room temp. Missing fries didn't show up until we were basically done eating. To top it off, when you know as a waitress your service has sucked, at least try to have a personality or apologize. Neither happened. I don't normally write reviews for places unless something goes wrong but I just wanted to take a minute to say how much I enjoyed our first visit. It was definitely a busy time and we waited almost 2 hrs for a bay but I must say the people that are working here are some of the friendliest and kindest people I've seen working anywhere. From the young lady that helped us set up our bay, to the young man that cleaned up a spill my son made to the other young lady who was sweeping and cleaning and struck up a conversation with me to ask how we enjoyed our time. I wish I had gotten their names because I think they need to be personally commended.
