I can understand the other feedback about management's lack of bedside manner. Our day started with an estimated 30-60 minute wait time. We sat at the restaurant and 5 minutes later our bay was ready. Great news! Then as our 2 hours of golfing came to a close we ordered some food to go (which, by the way, they are incapable of doing). The food took a while so our server extended our time twice for 15 minutes each time. Again, great news! Once the time ran out the manager was on us immediately. She came in like a wrecking ball and gave us an aggressive lecture on how we'll have to vacate the space immediately. She didn't thank us for coming, ask us how we were doing, take a breath, or give us a chance to say anything. She told us they were on a 3 hour wait (spoiler alert: we called from the parking lot after leaving and were told they were on a 1.5 hour wait -- which, if anything like our experience would be more like 20 min. The lobby wasn't packed on our departure.) The bay next to us was vacant and hadn't been cleared, but the manager was more interested in escorting us and our little kids out. She took a few plates away and then came back and got in our personal bubble, making us extremely uncomfortable. We and our daughters felt attacked. Way to go TopGolf. Management destroying the experience that your team built. If you would have connected with us and asked us nicely we would have left with an amazing memory instead of this Yelp review and a desire to avoid you at all costs. We were greeted at the door and told we had to purchase membership cards $5, the young female cashier was pleasant and told us we can use our membership cards in any city where there is a Top Golf We order 4 Margaritas which were ok, two orders of nachos which were small portion for $10, a veggie burger and 8 shots of tequila. Overall we had a good time but this place is PRICEY. $45 an hour we wait almost 2 hours for a Bay but you can pay $50 to reserve a bay but it doesn't go towards the cost of golfing free parking, good music, lots of tvs to watch the games and a mixed crowd. New discovery! Similar concept to Bowling, except for Golf. I was excited to try and we met up with others here with a group of 9. Very popular spot. Large parking lot, but it was pretty full on a Wednesday night. You can make online reservations, but we took our chances, because it had just been raining. We stepped up and they had bays available. Unfortunately, each bay can only have 6 people play and a total of 8 people sit in the bay, so 4 of us stayed at the bar for food & drinks. The bays vary in price from $25/hour to $45/hour depending on time of day. They provide clubs if you don't have any. Plus, there's a variety of different games you can opt to play. There was plenty of seating at the bar and servers were friendly, but it was very loud. Drinks? I tried the Orange Dream (pinnacle whipped vodka, orange juice and Mist TWST) and it tasted "dreamy", but also full of calories. I switched to white wine after 1. Food? The set up is good with room to sit on a couch or at a high top table to eat, drink and just hang out. The food is good-queso, guac and salsa with chips in particular. Service is fine. The reason for the 2 star rating-it's very expensive. I get it, I live in an area where going out isn't cheap and there is some demand for a place like this, but $90 for two hours of hitting golf balls and sitting on a couch while parties next to us end up on top of us... Also, the $50 fee to reserve a bay and for the first hour and change, there were no other parties in the two bays on either side of us? I realize the website lists the possibility based on the day of week and demand, but that's ridiculous. If going without reserving a bay, with a group or for a work event, have fun. The Boyz and I needed to escape the city and decided to head out to Topgolf on a Saturday. I have been Topgolfing many times and I must say, I LOVE TOPGOLF!!! It's essentially a combination of bowling and darts, but you swing golf clubs aiming at a target. I am a pretty big golfer so I always enjoy it. Most weekends, it's about a 2-3 hour wait for a bay, especially during summer. But in December around 2pm, we got a bay immediately. I was absolutely shocked! I have always had to wait 2-3 hours, which is okay because you can go grab food, watch sports, and have some drinks to kill the time and then continue on the gravy train. I ended up ordering the burger and pretzel bites for an appetizer. The food is very good and pretty cheap. Our waitress came back around quite a bit to fill our pitcher of Samuel Adams so service was great. She did try to upsell me on the more expensive pretzel platter, but I can't blame her for that... $$$ What's great about Topgolf, is that you don't have to be good at golf. The games are for all skill levels, you can rent clubs, and at nights they have a DJ. So they're more than just a driving range and they're great for the family, parties, and special events. I think the prices are fair, about $35/hour, and are along the lines of bowling. We got 3 games in about 2 hours. I have also played in two tournaments as well, which are fun. So if you're looking for something different and fun, then Topgolf is a great idea! read more

I've never been to Topgolf until yesterday but I've always heard many good things about it. And this place lives up to the high expectations. If you're a first timer, you have to sign up for membership ($5). But tip, if you're there with a bunch of friends and don't care whose name is on the scoreboard, just register 1 person so you guys all don't have to pay the $5 fee. It's $45/hr for evening-closing (I think 4 PM - midnight) and they limit to six people per bay but I'm not sure if they're that strict on the limitation. Topgolf can be a ton of fun when you go with a group of people. When you go with a group it can be pretty affordable as well. However, going as a couple can get pretty pricy especially when you add food and drinks to the mix. When we went for my friend's birthday we had a pretty decent time. Our reservation was honored and the staff was nice. We were able to split the cost of the bay 6 ways which wasn't bad for 2 hours of playing. We ordered food and drinks after. The food and drinks were pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but I wasn't mad about getting it. The drinks were a little watered down which isn't surprising for an establishment like Topgolf where quantity is better than quality. Especially since so many different tastes are coming here. Overall, it was a great time for my friends birthday and we all had fun even if they weren't very good at golf. My boyfriend and I decided to go on a date here and it was not worth it! It is $47 per hour per bay after 5pm on Friday and Saturday. From noon to 5pm it is $35 per hour. We were there two hours which is $94. That doesn't include food and drinks which are way over priced. You can probably come here and not play golf, but what is the point when you can get the same experience at Dave and Busters cheaper. We were able to get right in even though we didn't have a reservation. However, it was on the first floor which makes it hard to get some of the farther shots, unless you are really good. Overall, I would not come here with a group less than 4. Its really too much and not worth the price. Unless you are rich. Calling the location is hard to navigate with the phone tree and then the live staff if of lil to no help...they tried to up sell to a "party" for a same day reservation. Front desk staff was polite and accepted our walk-in group with about a 1.5 hr wait...all good. Overall, we had fun but not impressed with this locations staff/service. Top Golf from a distance looks like a 3 story driving range as I've driven by time after time with the glowing lights on the range it looks inviting but I had never been. It was time to let the show begin. Pulling into the parking lot on a Saturday night I was not surprised when finding a parking spot seemed as easy as a hole in one. A few trips around the parking lot and just like George Costanza, I found a spot right in front of the building, you gotta see this! I did see people, several people walking in and out with everything from a couple of clubs to a few more than just a couple of clubs to entire bags. I left my clubs in the suv and headed inside and was immediately greeted, by a greeter who welcomed us and advised us on the process and directed us where to go, check in here then go over there, then come back here We proceeded to check in and purchase our cards that then enabled us to be on, the list, the wait list, and what do people do when you have to wait before you hit golf balls, you know the game that requires precision and patience and a level of skill that many golfers practice their entire lifetime to acheive? Drink. There was a bar nearby or in this case a few bars, and just like Rodney Dangerfield would say, "I want to go over there!" There I was the rooftop bar had the third floor of golf, and a stage too, multiple tv's and plenty of seating considering how busy it was. A decent beer selection and food that was good, it was a burger and beer night and I was not disappointed. The portion was large enough to satisfy any hungry golfer. Upon checking in we were provided a pager and it was now time to drive for show. Headed back near the entrance we were then led to our bay, that has a high table and chairs, a server who was rather quick to bring back my order and a heater for hitting balls in not warm weather. The hitting area was the standard size 4'x4' turf mat with a machine at the side of the mat that fed one ball at a time onto the mat just moments after waving your club head over the sensor. There was a spot where you can put your clubs or use the clubs that Top Golf provides which are Callaway but has no Callaway logo or other markings, but it's a Callaway. You only have a few clubs to choose from so for those who want to be able to have every club in your bag to chose from, bring your bag in. The premise of Top Golf is to aim at the targets on the range, a few greens varying in size with several zones, that gain you points dependant on how close where the ball lands or rolls to, the ball has a chip inside that then shows your accumulated points on the nearby tv. There are several games to choose from, each of the games has one goal, get the ball as close to the target as your skill or lack of skill permits. The furthest target seems to be a 160 yards away, so there really is not a need for a long iron, let alone a driver. I did however want to dust off Big Bertha, my long time driver and I go way back and thats exactly what I wanted to do, I took some shots way way back to the end of the range, you do get points for hitting that far, there are three vertical lights to aim for and with some skill successfully hitting the ball between them, only result however in minimal points. There are three floors to hit off of with a bar on each one, I hit off the 2nd floor, I would have preferred the 1st floor because it would have felt more realistic. The second floor was too high off the ground, I felt like I was hitting from too far above the ground which didnt help me accurately measure distance. There are leagues, lessons, and party rooms available as well. Even if your not a good golfer there were plenty of people just hacking away and having fun. For the non golfers, downstairs there are pool tables and even a life size Connect Four game. There was plenty to see and do that was not golf related. Trying to take this experience seriously was not easy, there was food and drink and loud music. It just isnt a place you'd expect you have your A game, too many distractions. Visited here on a busy Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, we made reservations via their online reserve system. Costed us $50 (game not included) but with baby in tow, I was willing to fork over the extra moolah to avoid potentially waiting around for hours with a cranky baby. Food was awesome, and for our group of 7, we had plenty of room to sprawl out (stroller included.). I was hesitant about bringing an infant but was pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable we felt during our 3 hour visit here. Oh, and the service was "on par!" When signing players in, three of our group members were not recognized as being a returning guest, so I had to pay an extra $15 because of this. I told staff about it and nothing was done. Wow. What a major disappointment my last trip to Topgolf was. After being here many, many times, I have noticed the service sliding, the music sucking and the employees not really caring. Case in point. Last week it was cold. Really cold. But my friend and I decided to play Topgolf anyway. Last winter, we participated in the two-man league each week and the machines worked well. This year? Not so much. In fact, not at all. Topgolf sells you time. They charge a lot of money for you to play there. $45 an hour, to be precise. When I am being charged that much, I expect the machines to register every shot I make. I don't want to stand at the touch screen and manually override every shot I take just to get a score. Thinking that an employee would care about the issues I was experiencing, I shared my frustration with one of them. He looked at me with a vacant expression and said "it's cold outside. I guess the machines don't like it." Really? Then why build it here in Chicago where it freezes half the year? So then I went to the main counter, thinking someone there would attempt to make it right by comping me half my time or buying us lunch or something. But no....instead I get a different empty look and the statement that he will let maintenance know. That's great...for the next guy. But THIS guy who is paying almost $100 to be there gets screwed. No more. Topgolf is dead to me. Slipshod customer service. If they cared about an excellent customer service experience for their customers, Topgolf management would train their front line employees to do whatever it takes to correct service issues that are bound to pop up. This is a great place. I have only come to topgolf for work events but it's a lot of fun. I am not much of a golfer but this environment has something for everyone. It's a place I can practice my short game. The staff here is really good. They are attentive to your needs especially having a big group. The food is surprisingly good. The beef brisket is spot on. Many rave reviews about the Brisket (and their from Texas). They have a pickle chicken breast that tastes just like a chik-fil-a sandwich. I love going to TopGolf. Unfortunately it's pretty far from me and I don't get around to going as often as I would like. My last visit was very disappointing. I decided I wanted to go to TG to celebrate my birthday. It was a Sunday afternoon on one of the first nice days. It was packed and we were quoted a 2 hour wait for our bay (no surprise there). That was no problem for us. We went to the bar, had some drinks and an appetizer and luckily we only waited about an hour. We get to our bay and we're playing. We order some food. Our game was over and I sat down to finish eating. I got the buffalo chicken sliders (so good). I was halfway done with the last one, our game had only been over for about 10 minutes. When a younger guy walks over, I'm assuming he's a manager, and tells me that if I want to continue eating I need to move to the bar because they're on a wait and need the bay. I have a problem with this because it's not like we were sitting there doing nothing. There were only two of us and we were discussing playing another game after I finished my sandwich. If we were just sitting at an empty table in the bay, then yes I could understand being asked to move. However, I was in the middle of CHEWING MY FOOD when I get told I need to move to the bar. I just find that so rude because we paid for the bay, we paid for the food/drinks, we tipped our server generously, and we were polite and patient with all the staff. And apparently that wasn't good enough. So I was supposed to stop chewing my food, get my sweater, my purse, my phone, my plate, my drink, and move to hopefully find a spot in the bar? If we were sitting there for half an hour and we didn't move or order or play another game, then again, I would understand. But our game was only over for 10, MAYBE 15 minutes. And I get asked to move. I understand that there was a long wait, but if I was quoted 2 hours and had no problem with it then I feel like other people being rude about the wait time is their own problem. Topgolf is an awesome place, it's fun, the food is good, the drinks are good. This is my second time here. I really like this place. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, good place for a group, good for an ice breaker maybe as office get together. They offer golf of course. You hit from the tees on two levels. Score tracker keeps it fun. Based upon where your ball lands. They have a event room that would be cool for maybe a fantasy football draft. I was there for a mini anniversary party, they offer food packages, buffet style. We had Salad good, biscuits good, (think KFC), macaroni and cheese with a little breaded topping good, brisket with bbq sauce is ok but tasty, other people liked it a lot. And finally the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken it wasn't really spicy but it was great. There was also some cookeis for dessert, didn't try them. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Every time I come to this topgolf right at opening, there is a wait. Not only that, but the wait times given to us by the staff are never honored. Last week they gave us a 1 hour wait and we had to wait 2.5 before we were given a bay. Today they told us 15-30 minutes. At 30 minutes I went in and they told us they were understaffed and that I would have to wait another 1.5 hours. There are six people in my party and a couple even had to come from 40 minutes away. I am in the military and am home on leave and my time at home is precious. I understand the waits but when the staff continue to lie to me, things get frustrating. The staff and management have no respect for others or their time. Lying to customers is not acceptable on any level. This is pretty disappointing because I did love topgolf. read more

I've been to Top Golf too many times to count since we moved here, so this review is way overdue. Now that my Hubbie has a platinum membership, we'll be here even more. Check in is quick and easy. Service is always on point and they periodically stop by to check on us. Our drinks are always refilled. The adult beverages are good, especially the Sangria. They serve a variety of American classics with a gourmet twist. The food always comes out quick and everything is tasty. Hitting golf balls is a fun stress reliever, especially with adult beverages and good food! They also have kiddie clubs, so our little one always joins in on the fun. I really have no complaints. I do love Top Golf, but I do wish it didn't break the bank. The Top Golf in Wooddale charges by the bucket. This Top Golf charges by the hour per bay. The rates increase as the day goes on, so cost wise is better to go earlier in the day. However, you can have up to six people in the bay for the same per hour price. All that boring money stuff out of the way, I love Top Golf! Concept summarized: It's a high-tech driving range. Your golf balls are GPS chipped (or some other craziness), so the computer knows where you ball lands. There are targets that you aim at; some are pretty close and get further away. You get more points the further the target, and more points the closer to the middle of the target. Important: You DO NOT need to be amazing at golf, and you do not need to hit the ball far. You still score pretty well being consistent in the close targets. Food and drinks are also excellent. Except the Moscow Mule. Don't get the Moscow Mule. Otherwise, they have a pretty good beer list, rotating different cocktails, and I've even had wine that was pretty good. My favorite food is the Mushi (AKA burrito sushi). The chips and salsa, sliders and french fries are all good too. Each bay has golf clubs that you can use, both men's and women's clubs. Some bays have couches, some have high top tables. There are also heaters for your winter-time golfing needs. And TVs you can change the channel and watch whatever you want on your bay's TV. So! Go grab some friends, go to Top Golf and have a good time. Drink some good drinks, eat some yummy food, and try to kick their butts at the driving range. read more

Met up with 2 other friends/couples here at 1pm on a Saturday and got our bay right away on the top level. Kind of getting colder out, but the heaters they have overhead definitely keep you warm and you have the option to adjust them if it is getting too hot. We just ordered drinks and I had an Angry Orchard Cider. No complaints on timing of getting the drinks. The six of us enjoyed our 2 hours of play. I also received $10 off my next time coming because I filled out a survey afterwards. Just have to use it before the end of the year. All-in-all, my group had a great time. The waiter we had was attentive and made sure we were all doing okay and were good with our drinks. Maybe the earlier you come, the better service you can get? Topgolf has "skinny mirrors." It makes you think you're much better at swinging the club than you actually are, but you know what? I don't give a shit. It's more fun and way less frustrating than anytime I've ever been out on the course. They're kinda like Lucky Strike Lanes only the activity is golf and the food is much better. It's a driving range that has a bunch of targets to shoot for. The balls all have sensors so not only does the system tell you exactly how far your hitting, but you get points for getting close to the pin depending on what game you're playing. Full service bar and pretty decent food round out the experience so even if you've never swung a club in your entire life you can still have a good time with your friends. Reserved a bay for my manfriends birthday. Our server was Dom. He was very attentive coming back eveytime we needed something. I spilled my mimosa breaking the flute on the table. Dom was great about it and brought me a bandaid due to a cut on my leg from my glass. The food was cooked perfectly. I ordered a burger med rare which I do because even burger joints that cook burgers all day overcook a med burger but here it was a perfect med rare. I forgot my sun glasses at our table and called about 10 minutes after leaving and was told they were not found. It wasn't busy so it's pretty obvious one of the staff had taken them. Very disappointed. read more

I came here for my friend Birthday celebration and the actual golfing part was fun and exciting. But the customer service was not good. The waitress was rude as well as the staff who brought out our food. She basically slam our food on the table. The pretzel I order was good but the cheese sauce was not melted enough so I was attempting to eat hard cheese. Otherwise the actual golfing part was fun. read more
