I stopped here on a Tuesday, just before everything got crazy with coronavirus. Tuesday was half price, which is a great deal if you can make it. We came in around 5 and ended up playing an hour and a half. We were already registered (I remember this costing us $5 or something like that back when we did it, but registration is a one time thing) so we got to start playing pretty quick. No wait time on a Tuesday. We played through a couple of the different games, but always ended up back on just hitting the ball as hard as we could and hoping it went in any target at all. I have no idea how to play golf, and have only played it once in my life that I remember, but I really do enjoy Top Golf. The food was OK. We did some nachos, a burger, and some buffalo chicken sliders. They had hand sanitizer, which was great because you really don't want to go back and forth between touching clubs, balls, and food. While I won't say the food is an amazing experience, the convenience makes it work ordering some stuff. Since you have plenty of down time between swings, you might as well eat. An hour and a half was a lot of time for two people. In that past I've done an hour and a half between 4 people and that felt just a little rushed. With half price Tuesday though it was a no brainer. I would definitely keep groups between 2-4 people though, because otherwise you are just waiting too long between swings. read more

I've been here a couple of times now and have always enjoyed myself. It's got a nice atmosphere, fun games to play, and some pretty decent food. Both times I've come, I've been with a solid group of people--The night is always that much better when you're with some of your best buddies. The waitresses are always accommodating and helpful as well. Doughnut holes and the Mac Daddy Burger were on the menu tonight. The mac and cheese is pretty dang delicious and the bun is awesome. A side of fries and a pickle spear, it really doesn't get much more American than that. The fries were great too, but the sauce wasn't my very favorite. Not really your typical "Utah fry sauce" but something with a little extra zip. I definitely dipped every single fry in it though, so subconsciously I must've loved that stuff. The doughnut dessert, unfortunately, was not my favorite (which is a bummer because that's 100% the reason I said yes to staying up well past my bed time tonight). The doughnuts were very over cooked and tasted a little oily. We paid another $1 for all three syringes (Bavarian cream, strawberry, and chocolate) so it ended up being $12 for 24. The sauces definitely ran out, so either we didn't get enough or we were just total newbs at it. Although, it's a fun and unique idea, I'll probably opt for a different dessert the next time I come. Our food took a little while longer to arrive, and that was kind of a downer. And the giant heaters above us turned off too, so we froze halfway through. It's pretty awesome that you can go in the winter time, but make sure you bring your parka! I had a very interesting experience at Top Golf. We reserved a bay more than a week in advance. When we arrived and walked to our bay and noticed that the tall seating would not work for our group (a member of the goup was short and had a tough time getting into the tall chair and one was larger who did not fit in the seating. The couch bays offer seating much closer to the ground that make it much easier to get in and out of and is not as restrictive.). As we walked back to to find a manager we noticed several open bays with a couch that were not in use. When we asked the manager if we could swap out to another bay that had seating that would satisfy our needs we were told that he was at the mercy of the system and as such they were unable to make any changes whatsoever. When pressed the manager radioed down to the front desk to inquire about an override and we were quickly told that there was nothing they could do. There was no effort by management to accommodate us in any way while we had already reserved a bay and were told that we would be charged for our bay regardless of if we played or not. What we ended up doing is I went to the bar and took some chairs and replaced the chairs that were the problem and we were able to enjoy our visit, but I had to haul chairs from another location myself. I will say that the server was very empathetic and waived two of the new member fees, but referred any requests to the manager. I went to the front desk and asked how to reserve a bay with a couch in the future and was told there is no way to do this at all. I asked how they comply with ADA standards and the staff did not know what that was. After explaining what ADA standards were they stated that if we joined the waiting list (currently 4 hours) they could not guarantee a couch bay, but would do their best. I honestly do not believe that they do not have the ability to cancel our reservation and give us the next available walk-in couch bay and then give the walk-in list our reserved bay and I was disappointed with the lack of effort to accommodate our needs. One another note the food was pretty good. The donut holes that come with syringes filled with different flavored creams that you can inject yourself was a fun activity. We asked for some wet wipes to wipe down the club handles and our hands after they brought out wings covered in sauce and were told that they dont carry them, but 30 min later they did find some and brought them up which I was appreciative of. Overall I feel that going to Top Golf is a fun activity, but for an average cost of $100 per couple for 2 hours I expect more. read more

We went tonight after reading about all of the precautions they are taking for cleaning and social distance. I feel lied to! They are only using 1/3 of the bays but they used them all on the same floor. Every bay on the second floor was occupied. They had a rule of no more than 6 players in one bay that wasn't enforced during our visit. 5 minutes after we extended the neighboring bay went from 4 to 9 players. The number of players fluctuated during the next 45 minutes from 7-9 but consisted of 12 different people rotating through. The plastic partition became useless as they spread out behind us and even after bringing it to the front desks attention nothing was done about it. I went back 20 minutes later to let them know it was still happening and that we would be leaving. We have tried to support businesses during Covid but I can not recommend going here until their social distancing policy is enforced or changed. We made a reservation and it seems no matter what I do no one reads the notes in my reservation and we always end up waiting longer for our bay. Every player has to have a membership (nominal first time fee then good for lifetime at any location). The games are fun and they have a good variety for everyone from beginners to advanced players. The food is decent (even with the new menu). Our server Karlee gets 5 stars for excellent service but even she couldn't make up for the disaster that was the rest of the evening. read more

The whole team was very helpful: Melissa was great with the preparation details, the facilities guys teamed up really quickly to trouble shoot our A/V set up, and Haylie & Bryce did a great job hosting and serving! Topgolf offers an excellent diversion outside for those of us that want to golf, maybe suck at golf, and want the comforts of things like food, beer, heat, and cooling. Take a sport that is ridiculously hard and mix it with an arcade like atmosphere and you have Topgolf. The best golfers in the world can enjoy a great range and the rest of us can hook and slice our way to greatness. They make it that easy. A few things to note: - The place is kid friendly. They have kids clubs available and between the automatic machines and games to play, they stay really entertained. -The place is adult friendly. They realize that an adult drinking a beer in the vicinity of a child will not cause spontaneous combustion or the second coming. Decent beer selection but not so much on draft. -The food is pretty good. Not great, but good. The boneless wings weren't anything to write home about but my burger was pretty legit. Pricing isn't horrible but you are going to part with some cash to eat. - Timing is everything. They scale the prices and you are better off going when it is cheaper. Tuesday's are half priced but being in Utah (famously tight) I am sure it is busy. Be prepared. The only thing I didn't really care for was the $5 membership scam. I have a membership because we have used Topgolf out of state for work meetings and team builds. Our host tried to sign my 9 yo up for a membership so we could see our names separately on the scoring screen and I opted out. For the price you are paying, there really shouldn't be a "head tax" to keep the score. All in all we like the place. I didn't know how it would do in Utah with the weather but it is climate controlled extremely well. read more

After hearing about Topgolf and how fun it is, i wanted to come here in a heart beat as soon as it opened, but never had the opportunity. Well That changed after a couple of years! About time! When you first enter, there is a water fountain wall for instagram pictures, #freepublicity. Don't forget to check in at the counter because the wait can be a while. When we got there, we waited like an hour. If taking an hour worth of photos, you can go upstairs to the bar area to drink and chill. There is a DJ there as well. I think they do have games around the bar area, but not sure, I've seen people playing jenga. Make sure you are aware of when they text you, if you miss your text and was busy drinking, or having fun - you can lose your spot. When golfing, it is pretty fun. I would recommend going with someone who knows how to golf, or a bit of golfing experience. It's kind of hard just learning by yourself. Once you get the hang of it, playing the golfing games is super easy and fun. I do notice that the closer your time is to expiring you will get more and more "practice" balls. Kind of annoying cause you want to rush through a quick game. Some reasons why I gave this place a 3 star was the experience. When the person who assisted us notice that majority of our group isn't drinking much or eating anything, the service started to be bad. and eventually she just stop showing up for those who wants food and drinks. Our waitress was Jenny K. Definitely the worst top golf experience of my life. We brought family from out of state telling them how fun it is, safe to say they will never be back. After 38 minutes, we finally got waters (mind you we only did a 90 minute game). When we had 32 minutes left, we got half our food, and the second half when we had 20 minutes left. It was a $248 bill for an absolute terrible time with minimal apology, being only "there was a spill." One of my favorite places to go on date night. I'm not great at golf but this place is so much fun. They have multiple game options to play and it's a fun new spin on just your average sport. Fun place, price wastnt bad for a large group. The couches and space heaters were so comfortable. Our waiter was really friendly and nice and helpful. Giving us a free half hour of golf because the kitchen took too long with our food. My only complaint is that we had to wait over an hour for a bay and then we got one with a high table on the ground flor... we requested to wait for another bay. I went to Top Golf for the first time today. My sisters had checked in already before I got there. They were visibly frustrated at how rude the check-in girl with serious attitude was at the front desk....when simply being asked questions about the availability and how many people can golf at each bay. She was snappy and annoyed at every thing they said. I decided to go in and ask the girl her name so she would know something was up (that we weren't happy). She obviously said something to the manager that made Him annoyed at ME because he suddenly knew exactly who I was and came up right behind (me) and was suddenly right behind me asking me if I had a problem in a "helpful" (SARCASTIC) way...I was so taken back. Every time I've had a negative experience with a business I let it go... but my sister walked out and didn't come back in the building and it RUINED our expensive night out ...and so is the first time I've ever taken the time to write a negative review our experience was that upsetting... and we spent $400. That place was run that night like a bad joke. Thank goodness for Lily who was our waitress and had the most kind, gracious way about her. She was amazing! read more

My visit started out rough after I had booked well in advance after reading the FAQ page to make sure it would be a success. I booked with the informed assumption that by doing so as far in advance as possible I would be placed on a higher floor near the center only to be placed on the bottom near the right side. When I requested a higher floor from the front desk they told me it would be a 2 hour wait, completely defeating the purpose of a reservation. When I pointed them to the FAQ on this subject they then explained that it was irrelevant and told me I should have put it in the notes. The same notes section that bears the description telling me to use that field for special needs requests, like wheelchair accessibility, not for requesting things that are already implied in the description of the booking (ie best available bay, meaning higher floor and center line). When I spoke with the manager about this later he agreed that this was a gross misinterpretation of the "notes" field by his staff. Then the heater wasn't working very well in our bays, making it a pretty cold experience for some of our group. Finally, I get that good service means being available when needed, but we were constantly being interrupted by multiple servers throughout the night. There probably wasn't a two minute break between servers which made it feel more like being chaperoned than being served. Any time we tried bringing something up to any of them the responses were terse and unfriendly. I've enjoyed my visits to the vineyard location, but this was a very disappointing experience and I won't be returning to the salt lake location again. I tried talking over the phone with the manager who seemed very receptive to our conversation, but I found out later that he was only trying to save face and make me go away by giving me empty promises about how things will be so different if I try to book again with them. I will never be returning here, nor will anyone else in my 2 bay group. read more

Food and drink service comes to you and is pretty quick. Cons: pricey and you have to purchase a "membership" which takes a few minutes to complete the process. This was my first time at Top Golf, and admittedly maybe my expectations were too high. The staff in the main lobby area seemed stressed and spread thin. Our reservation was for 7:15, we arrived just before 7pm but didn't get taken to our designated area until about 7:45. The concept is great and we had a lot of fun. There are games for all skill levels and even if you're not good at golf, you can still win at some or at least be competitive. around 9:30 we asked to extend our time an hour. The attendant came over a took a couple minutes at our kiosk and we figured we were good, only to notice about ten minutes later that we only had less than 10 minutes left. We quickly called over the closest attendant who let us know that the other attendant must have misheard us and set it as "unextendable"; which meant we lost the last 30+ minutes of progress in our game and we would all have to sign-in again. I'm not sure how "add an hour" would ever be interpreted as "make this unextendable" and i'm not even sure I understand why you would have that setting. nonetheless, 4 out of the 6 of us decided to call it a night rather than sign-in again. Don't get me wrong- i'm sure things have been worse and in the grand scheme of things this isn't the end of the world, but this experience definitely could have been improved. Top Golf is a fun and chill time for all experience levels any season. I've been a few times with family, friends, and co-workers. The couches on the upper levels are worth the wait. The driving range offers a large variety of fun games. The food and drinks are good. My kids like the donut holes with filing syringe--chocolate and raspberry only. There was an event happening on the third floor so we were told the wait would be about an hour and a half. When we were texted that our bay was open, we were helped up to it and promptly greeted by a server. She was very thorough in her explanation of how the game was set up and made sure all of our names were in the system. We had so much fun playing for our hour and had some more drinks served at the bay. They had both mens & women's clubs and even if you've never played before, you'll still have a great time. The bay was $45/hour on Saturday which was pretty reasonable considering there was 5 of us. I know they have different pricing on different days/times so make sure to look it up before you go. Such a fun place. They have a dozen different games you can play, which is fun. We payed for an hour and each got 20 balls to hit. You have to have a membership to play, which I think is dumb. But the cool part is that it's only $5 and it never expires. It's a lifetime membership. And to rent the bay was only $45 and we split it between 4 people; it says you can have up to 12 in one bay. But the 4 of us were barely able to hit all 80 balls in an hour, so for a bigger party, you'd definitely need more than an hour. And the bay was the perfect size for four. More than six would be very squishy! We ordered dinner and we all really liked our meals. The hubbs got the chicken sandwich and thought it was pretty average. I got the brisket grilled cheese and I thought it was fabulous. The brisket was tender and juicy and the bread was buttery and crisp. Perfection!!! I'd for sure get it again. I called ahead to see what type of a wait it would be to get in. I was told 30 mins at the most. So I loaded my family in the car and drove over 40 miles one way just to be told it was a 2 1/2 hour wait. This is a great Top Golf location, it's reminiscent of the Austin location. There are multiple levels and we were able to make a visit midweek without issue. The workers were all friendly and I observed them cleaning everything between customers including golf clubs. Me only issue is that so many of their foods are finger foods. It would be nice if they offered more appetizers that were easily eaten with silverware considering Covid. It was my first time in about 8 years driving a golf club. My miniature golf skills did not come to play today. Overall, the experience is super fun and great for any occasion, whether it's for a first date, a weekend activity for the family, or a chill Friday night shenanigan with friends. There are over 300 bays for golfers, but they fill up really fast! Unfortunately, reservations are not allowed. The earlier you come, the cheaper the rates. The bays are also charged per hour depending on the time you come. There are little sensors in each ball that helps keep score for convenience. The golf balls are a little lighter than the normal ones you golfers may be used to. The view is great! While you're waiting for your turn, or even waiting for a bay to open, there's a nice little outdoor seating. On Friday nights, a DJ is present and people dance on the mini dance floor they have. Food. I think food and alcohol prices are decent. I ordered the medium classic burger with a fried egg. My medium burger was a little overcooked to well done, but I still smashed the darn thing. My Fried egg was also overcooked and the yolk didn't spill as much as I wanted. Boo. Fries weren't my favorite and could've been a little crispier. The Bloody Mary was pretty good, but they lacked the dressing that normally comes with it: bacon, onion, pickled asparagus, pickled green bean. Boo. Lastly, I ended with an Irish coffee and it was pretty darn good! The warm taste of Jameson blew my mind lol. I'd come back here and check out their brunch menu. read more

Experience was fun - as it always is! Fortunately, there was a cancellation so we only had to wait 10 minutes for a double bay. Wings were overcooked. Grilled chicken burger was boring but edible. The Tres Tacos with chicken were quite delicious! Kids chicken tenders were ok. Tater tots were phenomenal and perfectly crispy. Nachos were very tasty, but they definitely don't give you much. Wish they would give you a giant pile of chips instead of 6. My husband ordered a couple beers before we closed out our bill, but we never got them.
