Came here on a Saturday morning with friends. It was my first time going to TopGolf and after hearing the raving reviews, I was very excited for my experience. I was so surprised that the place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 930am. The demographic was quite diverse from families with kids to people with friends and to couples. Lots of people brought their own clubs too. (Don't worry, they provide clubs and label them with large beginner ones too). The bays were comfortable. They had heating when it was about 50 and drizzling outside and I felt comfortable and warm. The games were easy to set up. I feel like I didn't fully grasp how to play and was just swinging the ball out there for the fun of it (still somehow ranked 2nd place among my friends :P) Our attendant was super helpful and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The menu wasn't as expensive as I had imagined which is a plus too. The food did take a little bit of time to come out. Wish they provided water for the bays and napkins. I appreciated my time and can see the appeal. I'm glad there's one opening closer to me so hopefully I can go again and get a better grasp on the game! read more

We went here, just my partner and me on a rainy Sunday, around 12PM. We had reserved a bay because it tends to get busy on Sundays. However, this was not the case the day we went. It was relatively slow, along with the service. Though we had a good time, our server was a little slow and at times hard to track down. We had to flag the server in the bay next to us. The food didn't come out right. We got boneless wings but received bone-in wings. Rather than letting us have them, manager took them back. Food was OK, as it always is here, but the mix up didn't help our overall service. We also never got one of our other orders - the flatbread. Went with coworkers after work. The service was good and everyone was polite. I have a shot of Evan Williams bourbon and a Guinness. For food I had the hot honey pepperoni pizza. Two hours well-spent! Came here for a team building activity for our company. It was GREAT! Arrived just at the opening at 9am, a sweet looking older gentleman was waiting for us at the entrance. Graciously took us to our bases and explained how it is. He also took our orders for food and drinks. The drinks are DELICIOUS and AWESOME. The food ranges from burgers to pizzas and they have selections to choose from which is nice. I love how it makes golf such a team-building experience and fun and casual. It's like bowling in a way. The vibe is fun and for the family! Place gets really busy as there are only 2 topgolf in NJ. Also, just watchout for your orders makesure they arrive before paying. Restrooms were clean. I see some highchairs and koala chairs. They have a pool table and table soccer to wait. There is a bar. 3 level golfing. I came here with a group of 10 people on a Sunday morning for 2 hours. We booked two bays in advance (max 6 people per bay) and before noon so it was cheaper but it was still a hefty price. I admit I've never hit a golf ball before in my life but I'm always game to try something new. The games (Angry Birds, Sonic, etc) were fun since it can get boring after a while. It was mostly outside since it was pretty cold even with the heaters. I don't know if I would come back, it's definitely more for golf enthusiasts (I fall asleep when it's on tv haha) and it's pretty expensive for even one hour. read more

I absolutely love Topgolf! Topgolf is the perfect activity to do with your friends, family, or even by yourself. Right before your time starts, you are greeted by a staff member and have safety briefing. You can then order food and drinks from that staff member, who are always so welcoming and accommodating! There are plenty of different options for games, which makes it inclusive for everyone. There are games such as Block Party, Angry Birds, or Sonic, which are great for families and friends to play. Topgolf is a fun place to go no matter what your skill level is. We went with a group of 4 and made reservations for 2 hours. We all checked in on our phones previous to our arrival which allowed us to start golfing quickly. The variety of games offered allows each person to enjoy their time there. The food is very tasty and the service was very good. Our server always stayed close by but was not intrusive. The weather was cold and rainy but with the heaters you stay toasty warm and do not need a coat. I highly recommend this as a fun place to go with a group of any age. So fun! read more

Went on a Tuesday for half off and definitely recommend booking at least a week in advance bc waitlist is unpredictable and hours long Played for 90 min with a group of 5 and honestly we could've done the full 2 hours, time goes by pretty fast and there's an initial learning curve to it. Definitely wish there was a training video or some instruction for newbies but it was still a fun time Got the nachos and I can't speak for the rest of the food but I'd probably steer clear of it next time, they were extremely small portion sizes and pretty disappointing but it's standard American bar food read more

Overpriced and overrated. You can't pick your bay, so if you get stuck downstairs the whole experience is underwhelming. They also can't move you into a bay that's open on an upper level because they say the system assigns the bay and they have no way of doing it. Just go golfing. First time coming here it's pretty cool there's plenty of games to mini games to play so it's more than just a driving range. The balls all have gps in them that will tell you the speed and distance of your shots. It's pretty much like a bowling alley but it's a golf. The food was good I started off with the CHICKEN KATSU SLIDERS. It was very crispy and tasty. Then I had the NACHO AVERAGE NACHOS it wasn't bad but I wish they gave us more. For food keep it simple to fries or wings, Tommys is within the same complex and is superior for food. The golf is fun, I most recently was here on a friday night and this place gets PACKED with teens so keep that in mind. This most recent trip wind knocked over a menu which knocked my drink and chips to a dip. Our server who was good cleaned up, but I had to ask if another chip could be brought out, because like are we supposed to eat the dip with our fingers? The manager? Had to be brought out and explained to why we were requesting another chip. It came out right away but cold styrofoamy ass chips, plus I didnt even get another drink? We spent about $350 here, a replacement chip and cider isnt going to break the profits here. read more

I've been here about five times and each time the service and food slip a bit more. This last visit was bad. The drinks came out wrong and took almost the entire time to fix. Great spot for a party or get together! My friend hosted a birthday here on Saturday evening and we had a nice time! Pricing is fine - you're paying for the ambience, a fun activity and some bar food / drinks. They were pretty strict on timing, and in order to get your name on board you do need a "membership" it's $5 I think? Anyways we tried the chicken katsu sliders with side salad and tater tots. Very good! Service was just ok, but they were pretty packed so that's prob why. You'd be better off walking to the bar inside to get water / drinks. I have been here a couple of times and each time I feel like it has gone down hill. The servers are not friendly and seem to have little attitudes. The food is total garbage and the place is not as clean kept as once before. I love the concept of Top Golf however they can wipe down some of the surfaces a bit more frequently. Food: The food is very average here. We ordered the buffalo wings, nachos, and a flatbread. The buffalo wings were good, but the nachos and flatbread were very disappointing. I would only recommend the food if you are very hungry and need something to eat. For the quality of the food, it is overpriced. Service: Service was excellent, and our bay host was readily available if we needed something and also came by to check on us from time to time. Ambiance: This was my first time at Topgolf and the experience was very fun. I didn't have high expectations for this place, but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back in the future. Your party will have your own private bay for golfing. Each bay has a table and chairs for eating and drinking, a full set of golf clubs, and two big screens to keep score. The bays are also heated so it's not bad golfing outdoors in the winter. There are several types of games you can choose from on the screen. Inside they also have two pool tables and a foosball table, which are both free to play. They also have a Pac-Man arcade game for free, but the joystick didn't seem to be working. Pricing is based on how long you and your party play and is calculated at the end when you leave. The earlier in the day you go, the cheaper the rates are. If you are a first time guest, you will be charged a five dollar membership fee per person. Overall, I would highly recommend coming to Topgolf but maybe skipping the food or eating beforehand. read more

I want to update my previous review from Topgolf as my latest experience there was definitely better! I brought my kids to Topgolf AGAIN for another round of hitting balls and eating lunch during our Winter Break. This time it was during a COLD day in February where the wind was blowing and you definitely needed some layers to hang. I was a little nervous going, as I've never gone to Topgolf on such a cold day. This time we were on the lower level, where it is a little warmer, so that was appreciated. They have heaters, but it was still a bit chilly. We stayed bundled up. The kids still had a blast hitting balls and eating their favorite lunch there - chicken bites with fries. I also enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of tater tots. It still took a little while for the food to come out, but it was enjoyable. The service was great this time around! Our waiter Roberto was very attentive and gave a good recommendation to the kids (get a hot chocolate to warm up). The hot chocolate was a hit for sure. We were given napkins and utensils with our food this time, so everything was great. We also spoke to a manager, Steve, who stopped by a couple of times to chit chat. After our two hours were up, we stopped by the foosball table to play a few rounds and the kids had a blast. Thanks Topgolf for an enjoyable Tuesday afternoon! read more

I went here on a Saturday afternoon with 3 other people. I was texted what bay to report to. No contact with any employee. Our waitress came by after about 5 minutes of being there. Even though the computers let you pick games the waitress is only there to order drinks or food. We had an issue that the tv at the golfer on deck could see didn't work. We asked her to get her to see if it would work and she said she would have maintenance look at it. It never worked. The area was very clean. The beer I ordered was at the perfect temperature. It was very good. My friend ordered a mixed drink and he said it was good but very sweet. At the end we went to pay the bill and it asked for a tip. I clicked on the 18% and didn't realize that it was on the total bill. They gave her a $25 tip on 3 drinks. I know that these waitresses work hard but for 3 drinks that's a lot of money. Don't let them trick you on a large tip for just 3 drinks. I don't think we should tip on the games and bay. Don't get me wrong. This place is fun but just watch what the bill is at the end. read more

had a great time with the fam for this summer's activity! we reserved online so we could get the best possible area and although we were in the first floor, we had the sofa seating for two bays. It was spacious and comfortable enough for a group of 12 (both kids and adults altogether). There was a fan overhead which was great since it was hot during this July weather. Food was good too and I enjoyed the drink I ordered. I forgot the name but it was nonalcoholic which had some orange and soda. Service was good but not the fastest. One order was also forgotten so we just cancelled that. There was also a something sharp in one of the chairs inside by the air-conditioned room that cut my husbands leg and we told a staff so that she could at least get rid of the chair or store it somewhere to avoid injuring others but she just said okay and never bothered to do anything *shrugs*. I came here on a Sunday night which I had 2 hr reservations for. The entire process went very smoothly! I received a text a few mins prior to my reservation time telling me my bay number. Upon arrival my group & I just walked over to our bay. We were quickly greeted by a waiter asking us if we want food or drink. I really like the fans that they have because golfing can get pretty hot. I didn't have any food here so I can't comment on that. But the service was great and it was a great time!!! Been here multiple times and 90% of the time it's been a great experience. the staff is often nice, very friendly waiters and waitresses. the atmosphere is nice, a great place to come with family, friend, or even on your own. you get a booth that is good for up to 6 people. during the winter, they have heating to help you out. its nice and warm behind the table at the booth. during the summer, there's a fan that doesn't help too much but it's there. the food is good, especially when you're playing and hungry. the food also comes out warm which is nice. I'd recommend the fried mac and cheese bites and the buffalo dip! both are very good. as for the drinks, they are okay, nothing special. they are overpriced and often doesn't include much alcohol. the overall experience itself is often very nice and fun. it's nice to have friendly competition and play the mini games. great for gatherings, birthdays and dates read more

I've been to Topgolf more than 20 times over the years, both personally and for corporate events, but after my most recent experience, I won't be returning--and I'll be advising others to take their business elsewhere. We called 2.5 hours in advance to request a bay on the second or third floor. I've had a near-miss on the first floor before (a golf ball almost hit me in the head), and ever since, I've made it a point to reserve upstairs. On multiple prior occasions, I was told this would be accommodated as long as I called ahead. When we arrived, not only was our reservation placed on the first floor anyway, but when we approached staff to clarify, we were met with attitude instead of service. It was as if we were inconveniencing them for asking about something we had confirmed hours earlier. When we escalated to the on-duty manager, Aiden, the experience went from disappointing to downright unacceptable. Instead of professionalism, we were met with condescension and dismissiveness. We were spoken to like children--astonishing behavior given that I was firm but respectful. Aiden showed no interest in finding a solution, even as we stood for 15 minutes watching 6+ upstairs bays sit empty. We were told there was a four-hour wait and that they "would not accommodate" us, despite the fact we had a reservation and empty tables were in plain sight. As paying customers, we were left feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and disrespected. Ultimately, we requested a refund and walked out--something we've never had to do before. The irony is, I've helped bring significant business to Topgolf in the past through corporate rentals. But this experience confirmed what their earnings reports already suggest: growth without maturity leads to untrained, unprofessional staff and a degraded customer experience. If this is how management handles paying customers, Topgolf should expect to lose more than just my business--they'll lose lucrative group bookings as well. Topgolf may sell the idea of a premium social experience, but at this location, what you'll actually get is poor communication, empty promises, and a management team that treats guests like a burden. read more

Bobby and Katelyn made my birthday at Topgolf Edison the most amazing day ever, and that's saying a lot considering the weather was absolutely horrible! From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure our group was taken care of and having fun. Their energy, kindness, and attention to detail completely transformed what could have been a freezing, windy, miserable evening into a celebration I'll never forget. They checked in on us constantly, made sure everything ran smoothly, and treated us like VIPs the entire time. You could tell they genuinely cared about creating a great experience, not just doing their jobs. We went here for a drink around 5:30pm on a Friday. The bar only had a few guests, yet as we sat for about 15 minutes, we were ignored. The guests next us received service and no one paid any attention to us. After what seemed like forever the server finally acknowledged my presence but I was soo annoyed that we left without getting anything. Save your time and money and just go to Tommy's. I had a lot of fun and I didn't even play. Great drinks, good food and cheering others on made for a good time. The food did take a long time to come out. We were on the lowest floor; I'm certain the experience would have been different and could have been better on the highest level. Our floor was pretty loud because there were a lot of kids. The price was reasonable. I saw a sign that said prices were half off on Tuesdays, which would make it that much more affordable. You have a minimum 2 hour period, which I thought was extendable. It turns out it wasn't because they had reservations starting when our time ended. It was accessible with ramps available at the entrance and elevators inside. My partner and I love coming in the mornings for the $15 unlimited since we work evenings. Waiters are always extremely kind and check in often. We are suckers for the nachos. Plenty of bays and games for all parties, and there are often fun seasonal games. He also comes frequently for work outings which are perfect for large groups. Topgolf is a great venue but here in NJ, under it's current structure, its a 3 - season venue. The bays are all outside. The heat lamps provide little relief from the cold. To make Topgolf a great all year round experience, the sitting areas should be enclosed. I was fine with the golf tee area being outside; however, trying to warm up between rounds and games was difficult. The heat lamps provided little or no warmth. We voluntarily cut our bay rental short due to excessive cold weather. The food was very good. I had the sliders, Turkey Club and buffalo wings.
