Alright let's get into this review . This is a two day review . Place is so big it took me two days to experience the entire golf course . First went on a Sunday , it was very lowkey and quiet . Didn't have to wait long for bowling and they do not take reservations after 4 pm on Sunday. I've never seen a more detailed and elaborate golf course . It's beautiful ! We had some appetizers while bowling . I recommend the loaded fried chicken fries . Roughly 22 for 9 holes and 44 for all 18 . Bowling was about the same price . They have a restaurant and Photo Booth . They cater to everyone with their mocktail menu for people who don't drink . I recommend the strawberry lemon burst . The following weekend we went to bowl and complete the other 9 holes . It was definitely way more packed on a Saturday but they had a great dj . Be prepared to wait for any activity. Management went around to make sure guest were happy . If you looking for an inexpensive adult hang out or something to do with the kids then you might want to stop in . read more

As someone who is not good at bowling and hadn't actually enjoyed the game in the past. This this place changed my mind The lights weren't piercing my eyeballs and the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs. The bowling itself was fun and the large monitors in the back made it entertaining The cocktails were really good. I recommend the Espresso Honey Martini. As for the food I feel as if the portions weren't worth the price. This was our first time here, and I honestly had no idea this place even existed. We made a 1:50 PM reservation, and from the moment we arrived, everything was smooth, plenty of parking, and our lane was ready right away. The place is much bigger than I expected, with a full bar, bowling, and even what looked like a putting area, which was a nice touch. Our server, TJ, was great, very attentive without being over the top. He made sure our drinks were always refilled and checked in just enough. I ordered the dry rub wings, and they were really good. Visited Albatross recently with my fiancé. We had always wanted to go since they had opened last year and finally decided to go for a recent date night last Friday. We had arrived and after a brief a check with security we checked in on the machines and decided to go bowling. They have bowling and mini golf options. We decided to book a bowling suite for 90 minutes and it had a shorter wait time. We had rented shoes and waited for our check in time. We walked further in and there was plenty of space and bar to wait until our reservation time. There was also a DJ playing an awesome set! We had ordered drinks I got a honey espresso martini and new fashioned. The drinks came out quickly and headed to the bowling desk for our shoes and then we were lead to our bowling suite. The suite was pretty cool. It was spacious and had comfy couches and a table. Our waiter took our order and we started to bowl. It was fun and interactive to play and they had some games you can play. There were also screens above the pins that was playing the World Cup and the Yankees game. Our food can quickly and we got an appetizer sampler that had fried pickles, mac and cheese bites, boneless chicken bites, and fries with various dipping sauces. We also got a bar pie with pepperoni, bacon, and ham. Everything was delicious and the small apps were perfect for bowling. Our waiter was super attentive and checked on us frequently. Overall it's a great concept - bowling, miniature golf, bar, DJ, dinner, small bites. The place is entirely too crowded. We waited 2 hours for the lanes. The miniature golf was another line. They don't accept reservations in the weekend. The small bites we had were mediocre, the drink prices are a bit steep. If you decide to go I would recommend super early. Family fun night! My first visit. You can't make reservations in advance. We walked in and sat at the restaurant area waiting for my daughter and her fiancée. Daughter suggested we get bowling alley reservations. Hubby and I had to ask how to that. Kiosks in the entrance hallway- have to provide credit card and everyone's shoe size!!! We arrive around 530pm First available bowling alley was 740pm. Tried mini golf and told it was closed. You get a receipt with your reservation. We were a party of 7 when everyone arrived. Menu included pizza and snack/ appetizers type foods. Beers and cocktails. My brussel sprouts were actually really good- first time eating with sliced apples. We had to call over the Server a few times. We checked in at the bowling counter. We were escorted to the 2 lanes. Bowing was fun. Music, the visuals in the screens were amazing. We didn't try it due to the long line but there was a free "Photo Booth" area. Bathrooms many stalls had no toilet paper and garbage cans over flowing with garbage. I alerted staff toilet paper was needed in bathroom. Parking on site. It was a great family night with our 3 kids and their finances - because we were together. But expensive over $500. Same thing for the bowling, a lot of fun but the prices are astronomical. Plenty of customers so maybe I am out of touch. This is a very unique and luxurious bowling experience. They have bowling, mini golf, a bar area, dining, and a free photobooth. My friend had her 30th birthday party here and we decided to bowl for 2 hours. With shoe rentals it came out to $41/pp. Definitely more on the pricey side. With that being said it is the most upscale bowling I have ever experienced. There are big LCD screens that go across the whole alley with intricate videos playing. When you bowl it shoes how many pins you've knocked down on the large screen above your lane. That means if you bowled a gutter, it low-key blasts you in front of everyone in the alley that you rolled a gutter but the same goes for if you get a strike or a spare. Additionally, on the small TV screen above your lane it often displays statistics but they kind of sound passive aggressive if you suck, haha. For example, it may say "Ashley's average first frame bowl is 0 pins." It's cool and funny. The one gripe I had was getting our shoe rentals. There is no indication that there needs to be only 1 line when there are multiple people manning the station so it just seems disorganized. We waited in line for about 10-15 minutes which meant we were missing bowling time we booked. Lastly, when we did get up to get our shoes they ran out of many of the shoe sizes due to the bowling alley almost being full. We ordered both drinks and food. Our lane specifically ordered the carnivore pizza and the calamari. I loved the tequila marinara dipping sauce that came with the calamari as it was unique. However, the calamari you could definitely tell was previously frozen and not fresh. It came out warm on the outside but cold on the inside. I'm not sure if they didn't fry it long enough, or they let it sit in the window because they wanted this and the pizza to be delivered at the same time. The pizza was sicilian style square slices and was definitely protein packed. The only downside was that it was super greasy/oily. I could pat it down with multiple soaked napkins. For the drinks I got the lychee martini which was strong and fruity. My husband and a friend ordered the whole number 5 which came with a shark inside. My husbands had absolutely no alcohol and tasted like juice while our friends was not strong at all. Overall, I would come here again to experience minigolf and maybe bowling one more time. Visited Albatross for a friends birthday dinner and it was a TIME! We started with small bites and a cocktail before our bowling reservation time. The space is absolutely stunning! High ceilings, music blasting throughout the venue, so many photo worthy moments, I can definitely see how you can spend hours here. You can also play mini golf but we came for bowling. The bowling lanes are modern and we had our own waiter which made trying their drinks so much easier. I saw so many birthday celebrations happening this day along with just friends meeting up to have a good time. Came here for my cousins birthday over the weekend. From looking on their website, I knew this place was going to be very esthetically pleasing! There was so much to look at starting from the mirror along the hallways entrance. As you enter, there is security, which I always appreciate. There is also guest services near the entrance where you can buy your tickets for bowling or mini golf. Mini golf was $22 and you had two choice, Hollywood which were the "Front 9" holes and Destinations or the "Back 9". For bowling, pricing was $44 for 90 minutes or $60 for 2 hours. I have only been here once so I'm not sure if pricing is different on weekdays vs the weekend. Albatross also has great drinks and food! I had been doing Dry January and enjoyed a Heineken 0, but it not, I would have loved to try their Blood Orange margarita or spicy mango marg. The place was lively and the DJ was soooo good! Our party was up, dancing and singing the entire time! He played an amazing mix of R&B, throw backs and Latin music. There was a bit of complication, due to the fact that they can only split the bill in two and we had a large party, around 20 people. But understandable and a lot of places are like this. One suggestion would be to place an atm inside which would help alleviate the stress of a 2 card split bill for large parties. Aside from this, I definitely think I will return!! This was a very modern and unique spot that offered premier bowling and miniature golf. They also had a restaurant and bar area. I will only comment on the food at the restaurant. They had pizzas and bar bites. For appetizers, two orders of traditional wings were ordered ($17 each) and fries ($4). There were seven to an order. The Buffalo as well as the sweet and spicy peach were the sauces chosen. The wings were of decent size, and the chicken was tender. The sweet and spicy peach had a touch of sweet with little spice, but not too much. The Buffalo was decent but would have liked to seen more of a Buffalo flavor. The nachos stack ($16.50) was another appetizer order. We opted for the seasoned ground beef. It came with white queso, Colby jack, lime crema, jalapeno, and Pico de Gallo. This came out cold, so I was not a fan. The seasoned beef was not bad, but overall, just alright at best. Three pizzas were tried. They consisted of Primo Pepperoni ($23 for half), The Works ($21 for half), and the Jersey shore pie ($19 for half). All of the crusts were too doughy for me. The pepperoni came with red sauce, house-blend cheese, char-curl pepperoni, hot honey, garlic, and parmesan. This was solid. It was sweeter than I thought due to the hot honey and possibly red sauce. The Works had red sauce, house-blend cheese, char-curl pepperoni, char spicy sausage, mushrooms, green pepper, black olives, and red onions. There was too much going on here, especially on a small pizza. The Jersey shore had red sauce, house-blend cheese, pork roll, pineapple, and fresh jalapeno. This was essentially a Hawaiian pizza. Came here on a Monday around 5pm so it was basically empty. The facility is gorgeous. My group of 4 came to play putt putt. We opted for the 18 hole course. They have 2 courses split into 2. You can either choose a 9 hole or 18 hole course. Every course had its own theme and challenge. Each course took about 20 min. Defiantly not worth 44$ per person but it was an experience. This was a fun group outing. It's definitely a vibe. We hung out by the bar, followed by nine holes of golf and dinner. We definitely could've done all 18, as it didn't take a huge amount of time. The bar was huge with plenty of seating. I liked that each golf spot was its own unique challenge as well as the non-traditional golf structure. It made for a fun game. The tables at each hole for you to place your drink, bags, etc. was a huge plus in my book. We look forward to returning to finish the other golf course. The bar menu offered an elevated selection. The "new fashioned" was a big hit for our group. I personally prefer simpler drinks like a mojito which was unavailable due to no mint, so I opted for a margarita instead. Went to Albatross to celebrate my sister's birthday and we were pleasantly surprised! The space is stunning, modern, luxurious, and huge. There's a beautiful central bar, plus mini golf, bowling, and dining all under one roof. The mini golf area is especially impressive, it's the largest indoor themed putting experience I've seen. No online reservations yet (first come, first serve), but it looks like that's coming soon- I hope so because that can make it more organized . We went on a Thursday night and luckily it wasn't crowded. Mini golf is $22 per person for 9 holes or $44 for 18 holes. It's a point-based system with fun themed challenges super entertaining and we did all 18 holes. It took about 30 minutes to get through each 9 holes but you have to keep in mind the size of your party and the people ahead of you so maybe the online reservations with time stamps can help because I can see how this can get backed up and super crowded otherwise. We also tried the lychee martini (delicious, though no lychee fruit, they need to fix that), wings, pizza, and brownie dessert, all solid. I've already been back with a larger group and had another great time. Definitely recommend for a fun night out (can get expensive) and will be back soon! read more

Dropped by on a random Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. Upsides include the parking, variety of activities in the general area, and surprisingly good food for where you are. You use the kiosks on entry to purchase tickets/time for the mini golf or the bowling. The mini golf set ups are pretty fun though you will likely golf through rather quickly if you have a small group. The scoring system is based on time rather than puts so just fyi. We enjoyed the back mini golf area then went to try and grab a spot for bowling. There were plenty of lanes open but when we bought the tickets, it gave us a time 30 min later. We were a bit tired at this point so it was annoying to wait for that time to come up -- you can order food at the lanes but we couldn't do that until our time came up either. All sales are also nonrefundable BUT they do not warn you that you may have a later bowling time when you buy. Honestly kind of annoying so just be aware of this. Food was better than anticipated hence the 4th star for sure. The fries came out piping hot, the pizzas were actually pretty tasty. I will say skip the hummus platter; idk what pita they had on there but it had the bite of something that had been freeze dried in 1885. It was a no for me dawg. All in all a chill spot to hang out -- not sure I'd try to frequent it during busy hours or days but was a fun way to pass time on a Thursday. read more

Albatross is a new, swanky bowling alley in Edison near Topgolf and Supercharged. As a group of 8 we arrived on a Friday around 7pm. The next available day play was around 9, and we waited by their bar. Bar was big and very modern with lots of light. Decent drinks and food and food came quick. The works pizza was great - a half size was good for two people. We did t get a chance to try the premium mini golf but that is also an option when waiting. It was fun bowling with a modern twist. Stopped in here on a Sunday evening and the place was packed! The Bar area is quite nice and gives off nightclub vibes. Theres a sit down restaurant as well as seating around the bar area to eat also. Theres about 24 lanes of bowling and a further 18 holes of mini golf. The whole place is upscale and this business model must be working as I've now seen a few of these style establishments in the area including one similar in East Brunswick. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food but there's plenty of TVs to watch sports and a good place to meet people. My group of 5 friends should've come earlier... Arrived at 9:30pm on a Saturday (when they close at 1:30am), and we were told all lanes were Sold Out!! smh. Noticed that some of the lanes weren't occupied. I guess they were reserved and the ppl either didn't show or maybe arrived later. Either way it sucked for us, but since we were already there, we decided to stick around and have drinks. womp womp 10 drinks w/alcohol and a Margherita pizza came to $180 before tip. Not bad, I suppose, for the fact that it's a new establishment in NJ's premier entertainment complex. The mini golf put put scenes are all spaced out and separately situated. Honestly I don't think I'll ever buy into that activity. Looks like a total snooze, and it would be cheaper to go to Monster Mini Golf. This place is hella expensive, plus I'm more of a Top Golf (driving range) kinda person, not so much mini golf. The free Photo Booth is a nice touch. The picture came out nice! My friends and I (ages 39-45) scanned the crowed and noticed that we were surrounded by much younger individuals. Not that it was a bad experience because we still enjoyed ourselves, but it was definitely noticeable that few people our age were out on the Saturday night. A couple of young lovers stood nearby sucking face. Meanwhile I'm thinking get a room, clutching my pearls! LOL The DJ was on point though. None of that YN music. We even got to do a line dance with some randoms. The bar area becomes the dance floor. My birthday is in September, so in July I asked their event person whether I could reserve two VIP lanes for my special day (mind you I had to email her) but was told they couldn't help me so far in advance. Also they don't accommodate groups over 12 ppl. What kind of fuckery is this? Additionally, there currently is no option to book online. It is now August. GET IT TOGETHER, MANAGEMENT! This should've been in place soon after the opening. I don't know about Albatross just yet. We'll see if/when they accommodate my group for my birthday. read more

I tried the two 9-putt mini golf courses at Albatross and while the themes and setup were very detailed and creative, the experience went by quickly. Most holes only took 2 to 3 hits and nothing lasted more than a couple of minutes, so for the price of 18 holes it feels a little debatable. The same goes for the bowling. I wish they offered a one-hour option instead of only 1.5 hours minimum. The space is large but it can get pretty packed, and the lanes and seating areas are set up very close together which makes it feel a bit crowded. read more

The putting games were fun but seemed a little overpriced especially to only be able to play 9 holes for $22 a person. If you bring kids I recommend brining them in the morning when the space first opens. We ended up here because we were naive enough to think the Top Golf waitlist wouldn't be 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon.... fortunately, when driving out of the entertainment plaza, we saw Albatross and decided to walk in to see what this place was all about. Well it's a combination of mini golf, bowling, eating, and drinking. When you enter, you enter into a large circular bar area with tables as well for people to eat. We got here around 3:30, so people were gathered around the bar for drinks mostly. Some people were eating food, but didn't really see what it was about. We opted for the mini golf 18 holes, which was $44/person. Here are my thoughts about it: 1) It's quite a lot of money for 18 holes. Because it's indoors, you're not even getting any complicated holes either. They're pretty small, though they have their own little themes to them. 2) As mentioned above, each hole has a theme and challenge to it. Reading the board before swinging is key. Little tricky to get the highest number of points, but at least it's fun and challenging. 3) Be prepared to wait in long lines. It took us at least 30 minutes to even start golfing because it's quite easy to get stuck behind a large group of people. There's a couple holes in the front 9 that eat up a lot of time too, so you're somewhat stuck in line. That's the only bummer as the wait can be unpredictable. 4) I wish the front 9 and back 9 were connected as it was a bit annoying waiting in line twice. 5) All in all, you spend less time playing golf than you do waiting in line. I probably won't be back because it was so expensive, even though we did have fun. Just a ton of people here, which tbh doesn't surprise me. read more

Had so much fun! We came early evening on a Monday and had a drink at the bar before hitting the bowling portion. The drinks were strong and tasty, we chose a spicy mango marg and a black salt cherry marg. We got a bbq chicken half pizza and it filled 2 of us up. Bowling was so fun, there are different game mode you can select and other options to customize your game. As soon as we were done the staff came and cleaned up the lanes. The bowling alley looks nice, trendy and upscale. The mini golf holes are cool, but the course seems small and more of an afterthought. Speaking of afterthoughts the restaurant seems to also be an afterthought as it is small with a limited menu. I had the loaded nachos which were good. The fries were also good, but the sliders were just meat and bread. No toppings. I've seen better at regular local bowling alleys. The bar area is big and I can see that it will double as a dance floor on weekends (This was confirmed by the staff). I just expected more the way that it was being advertised. read more

Honestly, I think the place could have been more organized or had a better system in place to avoid having people wait 30 minutes to over an hour just to play miniature golf. That part was definitely frustrating. Other than that, I had a really great time with my friends! There were a lot of great photo op spots, and it was a fun experience overall. I'm just not sure if I would go again because the waiting time kind of takes away from the fun. read more

This place is not what you want it to be. It's not mini golf, in their defense they never claimed that it was. They keep the "putt" holes hidden until after you pay and you're on the "course", so you can't back out until it's too late. The course is basically a long line with activities along the way. You don't keep score based on how many strokes you take, it's based on how quickly you can put the ball in the hole. Most of the activities are visually pleasing, it looks very neat. But it's not really a game, it's stupid. I feel bilked out of $88, I couldn't wait to be done with it. There was an even longer wait to get on the back 9 so we decided to forego it and leave.
