I am not a golfer at all. Aside from putt putt I have never swung a golf club. Always thought it was silly to hit a ball run after it and hit it again then repeat. Anyway my son had his birthday party there and invited us. I could not come up with a proper excuse quick enough so we went. To my surprise I had a great time, so much so that I have returned several times since. It's a lot of fun and great atmosphere. Only complaint would be the long wait. If you're just coming to hit a few balls and drink a couple beers, tho don't mind paying an arm & a leg to do so - this is the place for you. $130 to reserve a bay for two hours. The bays are nice - high top with 6 chairs, heated & covered. To play you need to login, $5 per person for a membership - which doesn't sound like much, but why nickel & dime me after I already spent $130 for the bay. Don't like that at all. Available clubs are beat to hell, as expected. But overall, gameplay is pretty fun and your two hours goes by quick. Beer selection was subpar and service is slow. Tho what prompted me to write this review is the food - I'm there with six dudes drinking and hitting golf balls, we're not there for a meal but would like some substantial shareables to munch on. Order the steak nachos, out comes a board with like 8 chips covered in cheese - as we shared, my one chip was good but why so tiny portions??! Asked the waitress, do have any suggestions that we could actually share as we drink? She said get the queso, we figured she'd take the $20 nachos off our bill as we all expressed our laughable dissatisfaction of the nachos portion size - but no. Not too exciting compared to other top golf locations. Others that we have visited have games that you can play (such as angry birds) that help make the game more competitive and fun. Otherwise, this is just like a driving range that keeps score. Our waitress brought our bill when we still had 1 hour left, never felt so rushed to leave a facility before. We were very upset that the fun games we were used to were not at this location. Made the game less fun, as my husband has a lot of power and if the ball goes more than 215 yards, you get tons of points. So husband felt he needed to use lower clubs to keep it competitive and when he did end up hitting those far, I was sad that their scoring meant I literally couldn't keep up with his. Having the other games makes it fun for everyone. Not sure how 3/4 locations we have been to in CA, NV , and TX have these but Columbus doesn't. read more

This is my go-to Topgolf location. I've been several times with family, friends, and my boyfriend- and Topgolf is always a crowd pleaser! Upon arrival, the employees are super patient, and accommodating of large groups. It's a good idea to go at an off-peak time (i.e., weekdays, mornings, and early-mid-afternoons) if you don't want to wait an extensive amount of time. However, if you are placed on a wait, there are bars on every floor so patrons can relax and have a drink and/or some food while waiting. Drinks are averagely priced, food is a little pricy but it's tasty and most things are large enough to share. Once you are placed in a bay, an employee helps set up any TG first-timers. Then, you select how long you'd like to play (time can be added later) and begin! As someone who is terrible at golf, I always thought I would hate Topgolf, but I just love it! The different games are really fun and it's always cool to see where your ball ends up based on the little GPS tracker inside the balls which connects to the computer system. Topgolf is really fun as a date. It gives you a lot of time to chat and have some healthy (or intense) competition with your SO. However, we rarely go on dates to Topgolf because it is just so pricy. It's easy to rack up a $100 bill without food. Going on a group is my recommendation, as the Topgolf system makes it easy to split the price with others (and there's more time to sip between turns). The only reason I've deducted a star is for price. They try to get you everywhere, including a pretty ridiculous fee for reserving a bay, which doesn't go toward game play. A few pro-tips: (1) If your group is not full of great golfers, the second or third floors are the way to go. It provides a little height to balls so you can just focus on hitting them far. (2) If you're in college, play is super cheap on college night, and there are drink specials. Get there early! (3) Don't shy away from Topgolf in the winter. So I know I'm late to the party with this because I might have been the last person in Columbus come. What. A. Blast! We went for my fiancé's birthday and I did a VIP bay reservation. This accommodates six people and gets you immediate access to your bay at your designated time for two hours. It included a bucket of bottled water, their Bavarian pretzel platter and fresh cookies to end the night. None of us had been so we didn't know what to expect. There is a large dining/bar area where presumably you hang out, drink and be merry while you wait for a bay (if you haven't reserved one) and a full menu you can order from at your bay. Three stories of bays and this place was hoppin on a Saturday night! There are several ways to play and by no means do you need to be a golfer so if you don't golf, don't let that deter you. We had technical issues with our tablet but the server was fantastic and she made sure all levels of management knew. They gave us an additional hour of play plus a dessert for the issues which was great. Those issues didn't stop us from having a ball and we will be back!! read more

Got home and checked and the site said 15-30 mins. They don't accept same-day reservations but then have no consideration for walk-ups who make a decision to come in based on information they provide online. I went here for a birthday and before I went I called to ask what they had for a birthday. I was told they had a birthday cookie. I then proceeded to book the reservation online later to see the 50% promotion never got applied. Upon arrival, I mentioned this, and a manager did come fix that. We ordered the birthday cookie and was then told they were out and didn't have one. If this was the only issue, then it would not be a 2, but since this company is a technology sports company, the bigger issue is that 18 or more of my balls and others balls went in the target and did not calculate any points. The whole purpose of this place is to compete with your friends and yourself for the technology to not work is a big issue. I told my server, and he said yes, they know about it, and so does management, but they refuse to do anything about it. This is pretty unacceptable as you pay money to score points, and this experience is not cheap. It really makes the experience not so great. Before I wrote this, I also told customer service via email about this, and no one cared to respond, so I am writing this review to help you, and hopefully, the impact will push leadership to get this fixed. This is basically the purpose of the attraction, and if it doesn't work, then you are not getting what you should for your money. Until this is fixed, I would not recommend this location as you can't expect people to pay for something they don't get. FOOD REVIEW In terms of service, I give them 5/5 stars.... but in terms of food, eh. Nothing we have ever ordered has ever been GREAT. We have been here several times. The food is just ok. The selection is just ok. We tried the spicy Korean fried cauliflower (which wasn't on the menu the last time we were there) and not one person liked it. It wasn't crispy enough at all. The farmhouse flatbread was good but nothing to write home about. Would eat it again but would prob never say I'm craving it or anything. The salsa was a little runny and the guacamole was fine. Nothing special. You do get a good amount of chips though! We surprisingly had a lot leftover. Cheese curds were good, not amazing though. And if not eaten fairly quickly they got gross. The jalapeños were kind of weird and there also weren't that many. Pretzel bites were ok, the mustard dipping sauce was really good though! I'm a business owner of two businesses in Columbus, and in the last two years, I have hosted about $15,000 worth of company/customer events at this Top Golf. After today, we will never be coming back. With the purchase of our bays, we received several drink tickets for our employees to be used during play. One employee wanted a sangria, which she learned was not covered by the drink ticket. We asked if we could use multiple drink tickets instead of just one so she could get this drink. Because each ticket is pre-purchased and exchangeable for a drink, we felt that after spending $1,400 it was reasonable for Top Golf to accept a drink ticket for that drink. After offering multiple drink tickets we were told that no amount of drink tickets could be used for that sangria. This was a policy, and although unreasonable in my opinion, that was still fine. The issue was that the manager had an authority complex and said that the more we tried to reason with him, the less he wanted to allow us to use a pre-purchased ticket for the drink. Instead of treating us like a customer and trying to solve an $8 problem, he used his authority to say "because I said so" rather than provide an explanation or solution. This Manager - Jay from Huntsville, Alabama - exchanged $8 and his ego for tens of thousands of dollars of revenue each year. As our organizations grow and we're looking for local places to treat our staff and customers, this Top Golf will never again be on the list. Update (6/18/22): downgraded from two stars to one star. Called the Columbus Top Golf to ask for Hugh, who responded to this review. They didn't know who that was, so spoke to a Customer Service Rep instead. Instead of acknowledging any kind of problem occurred or attempting to resolve the issue, we received the exact same authority complex response from Customer Service. This place clearly has zero concern about customer satisfaction. By doubling down on their initial treatment, it shows me I failed by allowing myself to think they'd be willing to make this right. Steer away from this place if you're thinking about going for a corporate event. Your money would be better spent convincing companies not to do events here. @hugh - when you responded to my review (and to the many other similar negative reviews on here), were you aware that it's not possible to send PMs through Yelp? First time here and was a great time. The venue is over the top and feels like you're on vacation. The equipment is is good condition and the software and ball feed worked without any glitches. This is important since you are paying for time. That said....... they need some sort of buzzer or ringer to get service when you need it. However this is part of the marketing scam. Slow service means people waiting to eat, waiting to drink and waiting for players turn who are waiting on drinks and food too. The other mismatch in customer service and marketing is that you pay by hour and not by game like a bowling alley. But this is understandable however to be fair to the customers they should lower the rate to a more reasonable price. Overall an enjoyable time but the value is questionable. Especially if you go in the evenings where price per hour is doubled. Recommended for a good time. read more

A really cool place! Today is the grand opening and I wanted to see what this place was all about. Very friendly staff who helped with all of my questions. There is a very nice casual dining area, heated tees that run the length of the building and a nice little retail shop. Eating- I love that the dining area is for people waiting on a tee or people who just want to eat in a fun environment. There are many TVs on the walls, nice chairs to sit in. The Range - Very nice and super cool! There are heaters going for days like this when it's a bit chilly. Nice tables in each area for your food or for watching your buddies play golf. There are lefty, men's and women's Calloway golf clubs to use at each of the lanes with no added charge. So if you don't own clubs you can still come out and have fun. That's awesome!! read more

This review is coming from someone who is not a serious golfer. Actually, not much of a golfer at all. Just someone who enjoys trying new things and enjoys social settings. This is a great place to take friends or family or meet up with a friend of a group of friends! Although a bit pricey, it's a really nice place which somewhat justifies your cost. You will pay for a membership card ($5), then split the cost of renting a bay (varies between $25-35/hour, depending on time and day). You will also pay a separate reservation fee if you want to guarantee that a bay is available when you arrive, or shortly after you arrive. That was $10 for me on a Friday morning, but I believe it varies depending on time/day. Again, this does not get rolled into your bay rental fee, it's a separate fee. Food and drink, including table service is available at a cost, but it's a fun time out doing something unique. It's set up more like a bowling alley, where you have your own space, someone serving you food or drink, (or I guess you could go to the bar and get it yourself, but why would you?), and pay an hourly rate to do something fun. No need to bring your own clubs. Just program a game for you and your group, and hit some balls. Don't take this too seriously, just enjoy it. read more

You really have to make a reservation at least a week in advance if you want to get a bay at a decent time. We had a reservation and therefore no wait time. I was sceptic it would be too cold since you we were outdoors, but heaters in our bay kept us warm and we even could take our coats off without freezing. Overall we had lots of fun. I liked that we where social distanced between bays and I liked that staff cleaned and disinfected the whole bay including clubs in between customers. . If you wonder why I only five 3 stars.. The service... (eye roll).. Our waiter was totally unorganized. It took her 45 min to bring our drinks (after reminding her several times) and even longer to get our food order. When it arrived it was totally wrong and a manager who was standing behind her had to fix it. She didn't bring napkins. Yowza! I'm not sure what I was expecting, not being a golfer in any sense of the word--but WOW. This place knocked my socks off! The atmosphere, the view, the cleanliness, the first impression was all stellar! A group of us went Friday night and the place was jammin! We had a great time in our own little bay cracking balls!! Think bowling with a group, but way cooler with an upscale fun vibe! The seats are heated and they have heaters above you can control to meet your needs. From what I could see, there are people here for a good time all the way to serious golfers that bring their own gear, wear the white golf gloves--the whole shebang! I've never been golfing in my life as a side note! My review of the space, play experience, golfing part--5 stars all the way! Now on to the food and drink service...2.5 stars at best. It was pretty much a nightmare. I guess with 3 couples, I would presume the server would ask if we need separate checks. He did not. I'm still not sure if we were charged correctly because a detailed receipt was not available, even after requesting it. He was dressed up for Halloween and dancing to the music seemed more important than great service! As a side note, they did have good music going! Ha! But I'm a foodie and service is important to me...especially when you're spending a night out for a couple hours for well over $100 bucks for 2. Food was just ok. Think chain...Applebee's or Friday's as a comparison. My drink literally tasted like it had zero alcohol it and it was $18! What a super fun experience! I am planning to Go back soon because it was a great way to practice my swing without the pressure of having to go to the course. Super laid back atmosphere where you can just have fun and play golf games, enjoy beverages and chill with friends. The automated system makes it fun to see how far and accurate you can hit the ball. Wow. Talk about a place that needs new management. This was a terrible experience. They have people standing around doing nothing and yet it took forever to get our food and drinks. We finally had to go to the bar to ask for water while waiting for our server to finally bring us our pops and water. The server failed to bring us utensils until after our food arrived. It took over 1/2 hour to get nachos which came out cold and were disgusting. Burgers were just a mess. Seriously bad food and worse service. Do not eat here. We had a total group of 5 which definitely helps bring the price down & yes- it is a little pricey. I paid $25 to reserve a bay on a Saturday night (which you definitely SHOULD do as there was a 2 hour wait for non reservations according to the bouncer I overheard). For a Saturday night the bay rental is $48 per hour which you can rent in 30 min increments. You can have up to 6 people per bay due to covid. Anywho, once we got there, we checked in, waited about 5-7 minutes for our bay and then played for 2 hours. It was so much fun! Clubs are provided and the balls are as well at your bay. You just hit the balls into different zones for points! What surprised me most was how good the food was here. I was expecting typical greasy overpriced bar food (and while some of it was on the pricier side) but the food was great, especially the wings! We had those with pretzel bites, buffalo chicken dip and hummus. Service was decent. I could tell our server was super busy but she got food and drink to us in decent time. An awesome experience added to Columbus, for sure! A few coworkers and I decided that it would be fun to rent a few bays on Halloween night as a team-building activity. Me, not being a sports fan or good at golf, was skeptical at first but I ended up having a great time with everyone. When you enter their lobby, you and your party can sign up for their $5 membership card if you intend to play. Once you are signed up, you are given the floor and bay numbers that you are assigned to. Bays are rented by the hour so you don't have to get charged for buckets of balls like a traditional course. You can also bring your own set of clubs if you don't want to use theirs. Once you and your party arrive at your assigned bay, a friendly staff member explains the safety rules and how turn rotation works. The bays are also heated, so the chilly and rainy weather didn't bother us at all! There are tables in every bay so you can spectate, eat and have a drink! The menu is pretty good and includes cocktails, beers, apps, sliders, burgers, and pizzas. If you are looking for a great place for a family gathering, corporate outing or just to hang out with friends then stop in and see what it's all about! Great fun and good! This was our first time there, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. We had lunch while we waited for our bay, and the food and drinks were delicious. If available, try the tacos . The food is average-high priced (about $9-11 / dish) and they have a good sized menu. The temperature control in the bays kept us warm even though it was cold and windy, and the excellent waiting service continued there as well. I highly recommend the infused donut holes! The atmosphere is much more fun than I expected, the place is very clean, and the pricing was good. We spent $35 for 1 1/2 hr including the $5 lifetime membership for each of us (low cost bay because it was early in the day). One last thing to mention: when we got there we were told the wait was expected to be 2 1/2 hrs. It ended up being just over an hour, so sometimes patience pays off . Top Golf is expensive. I would think for the Saturday night price I paid, making a reservation TWO WEEKS in advance for SIX people in advance, there would be ENOUGH SEATS for everyone. There was NOT. One of us always had to STAND the entire time. Musical chairs doesn't work well when you have hungry people, either. I was also told each bay can fit 8 people total. If two extra people came, they could watch. I never received an email confirmation. Not in my junk email or any part of my email. I called to confirm. SIX people, but EIGHT can be at the bay. Still no confirmation email, though they assured me I'd get one. Oh well. The reservation was for 6 PM. At 2 PM, I received a text that our Bay was ready. I was told to ignore it. At 6 PM our five-person seating bay was ready for the six of us (two others didn't come to watch). We ordered food, including an order for a chicken sandwich, which they messed up. They brought out a chicken strips appetizer instead. We asked for a box. They never brought a box. Also, some of our clubs had handles that were old and coming off. For such an expensive experience, I wouldn't expect such a comedy of errors. I especially would not have expected to see seating for 5 when I was reassured 8 people fit in a bay, 6 playing golf. Not very happy. Wouldn't recommend. I'd take the $141 and go elsewhere. read more

TopGolf is lots of fun! I have been twice now and have had a blast both times. It is a much more fun experience at night with all the lights going and everything. The most recent time we came during the afternoon though. It was still a blast. We ordered appetizers to split in between hitting towering long drives to the back wall. We had pretzel bites, skillet queso, chips and salsa, and some fried bites that were all VERY good. I'll be honest, my expectations weren't very high for the food but I was very impressed with it, very tasty! The only downside is reserving a bay on the weekend costs $50. I feel like that should go against your bay pricing if you show up and play especially when you are ordering food, beers, etc. It just feels like the $50 is a convenience fee to not have to wait and have a reserved bay. Both times I have had reservations and paid the $50 fee. The first time we 2-3 times as long as walk-ins and I will say the manager made it right for that. The most recent time, the time on the clock was 30 min wait for walk in and we waited about 20 mins or so to get a bay. $50 just seems a bit extreme to not be refunded when you still have to wait almost just as long as a walk-in.
