Updated review: I removed a star from my review based on lack of customer follow up. Staff from TopGolf reached out to me via Yelp and asked me to contact them. I did. I was told they were passing my information along to their senior manager for follow up. I never heard from them so I reached back out. It's been a week and I still have not heard from anyone from TopGolf. Their lack of follow up and communication only made matters worse. I had been waiting years to come to Topgolf. I mean I had so many opportunities in the books and I choose my own PTO day off to use to try it finally. The place was packed during the lunch time hour we came. We were able to secure a spot towards the end to play a few rounds of golf. I'm not an avid golf player and neither is my husband. Although we like to occasionally test ourselves and have fun with golf. I enjoyed the menu of cocktails available. We did the non alcoholic cocktails. My favorite was the mango mocktail. For two people who don't play golf, this place is just fun. Whether coming to swing a few rounds to being with a group of people, it has it all for all crowds. We had 830p reservation for 5 and asked for any level except the ground floor. When arriving the only bay is ground level far right corner, probably the worst spot. I asked if there was any other bay available and they said no, it's a third party system that places you... long story short, rude as hell and could care less. I was so nice, said we would wait a little if that helped and she said we would lose our deposit and could wait to be then put on the first floor. First off I love this spot for what it is - a great activity for family, friends, and dates! Second, I grew up in the boom of Dave and Busters, Laser Tag, and the demise of Skating Rinks so I saw the commercialization of outdoor fun. Can you go to your local golf community and actually learn how to play? Of course! But the FOMO of it all will lead you here and hopefully Monday or Sunday when it is cheaper like $39.00 or $40 play for an hour. But what will get you is if you drink or eat here- that is where the money resides. 2 Coronas (6.50/each), a Blue Moon (6.75), and sharing a Flatbread (13.50) will give your date a total of $74.74 without a tip. The service is good for they are just hustling like you to pay for this date lol. No wonder kids don't date now! I would have to be a gamer or an influencer just to date if I was young again. Geez. The faux beer and carb option is not much better with portions of fries and salsa/chips being snack sized than what they were a few years before. Came here and had a good time, but our waitress was slow but that's understandable as it's a busy saturday night. we were almost out of time and our waitress told us that she wasn't allowed to serve any more drinks after 30 minutes left, even though she had served me and my partner 2 more drinks each after this 30 minutes. we bought an extra 30 minutes so we could sit and enjoy at least two more drinks each before she only brought us one each. we never saw our waitress again after these drinks. the manager eventually came to our table and was asking if we were doing alright when we stated we would like another drink. the manager had told us the bar had closed and we didn't seem drunk and went to our waitress and asked if the bar could sneak us another drink right beside our table. that's when the waitress showed the manager our unknown drink limit, when the manager came back and laughed in my face and told me that i seemed pretty drunk, when less than 45 seconds before she told me and my partner that we seemed sober and would try to help us out. our waitress never told us that we had a limit, nor told us that we were close to it in order for us to buy an extra half hour to only serve us one drink. i would have never bought an extra 30 minutes if i would have known we had a limit. we had people sitting in our spaces and golf clubs in our nets from the people below us. the drinks we were served were incredibly small, and if i would've known we had a drink limit, i would've ordered the largest ones i could have found. I've heard two stars are harder to get rid of than one star reviews, so that's the only reason i had given it two. once again, the manager told us that we seemed sober and would try to break the rules to get the bar to allow us another drink, but came back in less than a minute to laugh in my face and call me a drunk. completely unprofessional and insulting to be completely honest. people complain about younger generations being rude to their waiters and waitresses but then we are laughed at and disrespected like this, so why do you think i'm going to act upset? read more

My general experience at Topgolf was great. First of all the food was all good, the pretzel bites had a good amount of salt and the cheese sauce was rich in flavor, the Mac and cheese bites were amazing too with their tomato sauce, the all American burger was great, and so were the fries. Our two servers were both amazing, Liz was very nice, had a good sense of humor, and delivered drink refills without being asked and at a perfect time, the other wasn't really serving us but did help us get a good photo. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also pretty great. The games were also really fun and my party had a great time playing them. Overall this place gets 5 stars without question. read more

Very crowded and noisy. Not a good place for older adults but kids were having a great time.

We booked two hours for four people. We were in Bay 201, the very end of the first level. We noticed right away that the computer didn't recognize our shots. We would play a game and sometimes take 10 or 11 shots per player to get the game to progress. And of course, often your best shots were the ones that didn't register. We thought it was a glitch but had already started our game. After our first game was over, I went to the front desk. They sent someone from maintenance. He was a very nice guy and basically said all he could do was reboot the computer, so he did, and that whole process took about 10 minutes off our time before we were able to play again. We noticed that some of the tracking got better for a while, and then when the sun went down it was off again. A second maintenance worker told us that it happens a lot on the end bays that the cameras don't pick up and register the shots. He reiterated there was nothing they could do and it was up to "corporate" to get on the roof and reposition the cameras. I was shocked that both of these young men, and the woman at the Guest Services desk, all had essentially the same approach. Sorry, and shoulder shrug. No offer to refund a portion of our bay rental fees, no offer to comp our food. No offer to extend our time. Nothing. I am speechless. We still had fun, but all we had was a very expensive driving range experience without any of the technology that makes Top Golf what it purports to be. Sad. read more

We love Top Golf Columbus! My husband and I have been a couple of times and it has always been great. The food and drink are fantastic! The service is also really great. Initially, the front desk people aren't the friendliest, which you would think would be the case. Sometimes they seem annoyed if you don't know what to do or haven't been there before. But the service staff is always great! They are really friendly and come around often. We recently had an event there for our church and rented out 6 bays for two hours and had brunch. It was such a well run event, and we highly suggest having a group event at Top Golf. The brunch consisted of home fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, fruit, and danishes. They also had fountain drinks and coffee included. We had a great time playing and talking. I really like that while everyone is talking and having a great time, the noise wasn't over the top loud. The music is just the right volume to enjoy but not blowing out your ears or making it difficult to have a conversation. I'm always going to suggest going at least once. It's a great date night, a great time with friends, and even taking your kids. read more

We celebrated my husband's birthday here last night and it was a blast! And this is coming from someone who has absolutely no interest in golf whatsoever. The set up is super easy for the golf nubes such as myself and the small children with our party. And it's also fun for those who have skill who actually play. It's kind of like bowling the way you have a certain amount of spots and balls on your computer on each section. They are a bit strict with time and the amount of people they allow in each bay. They consider anyone over 2 a player which is sort of annoying because a lot of our friends have toddlers that would not be capable of playing 20 shots. Luckily they were able to get babysitters so it ended up being a non issue. Also sort of a bummer is the rules on not being allowed to bring in anything other than a store bought cake with the ingredients. The rationale makes sense due to food allergies, but why just cake? My husband just isn't a cake guy and you can easily purchase other treats with the ingredients on them. It's just a weird rule to me. Either way it was still a great time, they have good food, service, and we will definitely be back! read more

We attended a fun customer event. I heard so many things good and unfavorable. Well, we had a great time, and we're golfers. The bays are designed for six people to take turns golfing. The scoreboard is similar to a bowling screen, but easier. People stand around eating and drinking. The menu has a lot of food offerings and our choices were delicious. Drinks included wine, beer and mixed drinks using top drawer liquors. The wait staff was very good and kind. The venue is big. There must be 100 bays on the three golfing tiers. Heaters or ACs are there for comfort. We took three of our own clubs, which was a good idea if you have clubs. But clubs are there to use, including nice ones for left handed people. This is like golfing at a driving range, but better. You hit the ball into a pit, and get points, so you have to aim and hit like golfing toward a green, and the green is the pit. You can make a reservation or stop in. There is a gift shop. Bathrooms are nice. I'm not sure if this is handicapped accessible as there is a pyramid of steps out front. For those that don't know, it's basically a tech golf range where there's microchips in the golf balls that relay information (distance and proximity to the center of the flags) to calculate a "score". It makes the driving range competitive and fun. Would recommend 3-4 people max per bay. Tried 6 and we felt we didn't get that many swings in. A few hours goes by really quickly. Waitress was attentive and on point, especially with bringing rounds of pitchers and woodford. Sampled the shrimp tacos and chips with salsa/guacamole. If you come, do it with a big group who can split the cost, $90 for two people is a bit steep. And then the cost of food and drinks is crazy! I specifically wanted to write this review about the nachos. I am a nacho connaisseur, and these sounded great- cheese, beans, guacamole...but it came and there are about 8 chips. I mean, they are covered, but we're talking more than a dollar a chip. And I'm still hungry, but hesitant to order anything else. Let's start with the ridiculously small White Russians I ordered and paid $21.50 for ($27.73 after taxes and tip). These are the smallest White Russians I've ever seen. Let me emphasize, I had not taken a single sip of either one of these drinks before taking this photo. In fact, this is the first time I've ever taken a photo of a drink, not because it was a good looking drink but because it was so pathetic. The table we sat at had been empty for a bit yet it hadn't been wiped off from the previous customers. (There were no clean tables.) We ordered some food (tacos) and the little donut holes you can fill with your filling of choice. The meat on the tacos was cold and the food was served without utensils, plates, or napkins. Even though there was no less than FOUR employees standing around talking, none of them ever came back and asked how our food was or if we needed anything (like plates, silverware or napkins, refills, etc.) The donut holes need to be larger and have fewer served. There was like 25 tiny donut holes, like the smallest donut holes I've ever seen, and they were served with the plastic syringes of filling. The donut holes are just so damn small you can't get any amount of filling in them. Like less than a thimble full. We were told we could get all three of the filling flavors for the donut holes for just $1 more. Nope, it was $2 more. Granted, that's just a $1 difference but it was literally 100% more than the price we were quoted. (Also, don't order the chocolate filling. It's basically just hot Hershey's syrup. Way too runny for what it's supposed to be for.) Their bathrooms (our party used both men's and women's) are teensy tiny bathrooms that are so small, if two people wash their hands at the same time, the person on the left has to wait for the person on the right to finish before they can access the paper towel dispenser. What's with the HUGE dining area with employees standing around and the microscopic bathrooms that aren't much bigger than a gas station bathroom? Poor design I'd say. I've been to Top Golf in multiple states but the grossly overpriced, sub par food with lousy service at this one is second to none. Next time I'll chose none. UPDATE: I spoke with a manager who seemed equally disappointed in our experience and has made things better. With that in mind, the exceptional customer service of management convinced me to change my 1 star review to a 4 star review. A sincere apology and an attempt to make amends goes a long way with me. We will return to this Top Golf soon and play some golf and try again. read more

Top Golf is doing a great job to keep families safe. Mask are required in all public areas, but once you're in your bay you can take it off. I've witnessed their crew cleaning each bay after a group leaves. They spray and clean every club, tables, chairs and the plastic walls in between the bays. While the menu has been reduced, they are still serving up several food and drink selections at reasonable prices. Our servers are always super friendly and we never need to ask for a drink refill. read more

I am not a complainer, but I had a terrible customer experience planning an event at the Columbus Topgolf and want to share it, so it doesn't happen to you. Called to plan an event (dinner, drinks, golf) for 22 people (traveling in as part of a company event with rigid timelines). I talked to a sales associate and get a contract with all the details. I signed the contract immediately. Tried to pay for the event with 2 different cards and got an error message. Sent a screen shot of the error to the sales person. He advised (via email) that their IT team was working on it. As I said, I signed the contract. As it turns out, they cancelled my 3 bay reservation because I did not pay fast enough (after 2 days) - DUE TO THEIR SYSTEM GLITCH. The sales guy said he called me and my cell phone did not take his voicemail (because that happens all the time, right??). I called and explained the situation. He was polite, but did not empathize. He said they were full and there's nothing they can do. The guy didn't ever tell me there was a payment deadline, I can't find it in the fine print or in any emails. They did not honor the contract and didn't give any warning that my event was going to be cancelled. Topgolf does not care about my business because they are full. They don't care about the customer. Be very careful making arrangements for an event. Your event could be completely ruined with no notice. read more

It's been several years since I've been to a Topgolf, and after visiting last night I remembered how fun it really is. You don't need to be an excellent golfer to enjoy yourself, you can score points by taking the worst shots in the world and having some luck to drain inside of a close by target. But let's be honest... Nothing beats the thrill of smashing the heck out of a golf ball and driving it as far as you can! Even though some of my long drive scored no points I had a blast. There is a Topgolf up in Cleveland and based on my experience in Columbus last night I would like to get up to Cleveland in the near future to smash some golf balls soon. read more

I have been here a couple of times, even though I am horrible at it. It's still a fun social gathering for families and friends. There's plenty of parking in the front and to the side of the building. On Tuesdays, they have half price games for each hour. What a steal! The prices vary on the time of day you go so at night would be the most expensive. I believe it's $24.5/hr for the evening on Tuesdays. If you bring 6 people (the max you can have per bay), it's a steal! I recently went for the big group deal - you have to spend a minimum of $175 and reserve the bay a week ahead of time. They have normal priced drinks, pretty good food, and good service. There is a full bar and their cocktails are made with decent brands of liquor. Shoutout to PJ for the AMAZING service! He had so many great advice, checked in on us constantly even though it was busy, and even remembered our big group by name. read more

The bar area is nice if you have to wait for a bay to open. Friendly staff that will help you get set up in their system if it's your first time. What a fun and expensive way to spend a few hours... You can find Top Golf locations all around the U.S. and for those that don't know, it's a high-tech version of going to the driving range and hitting a few balls. How does this work you ask? Well, your golf ball has a tiny sensor in it that allows their computer to track where it lands after you hit it. They offer a variety of different games to play, ranging from hitting different targets to hitting as far as you can. All of which, are really fun! I went during the dead of winter and it was a really chilly day. Thankfully the outside is heated and after swinging the club a few times you get warmed up. Grabbing a few drinks from the bar or your waiter can also help you defeat the cold. I went with Moscow Mules during my visit and for roughly $10, they were tasty and didn't lack on the booze. While I didn't get food, I have eaten at a Top Golf (In Arizona) and I do remember their options being tasty and they had a good number of items on the menu that were great for groups. All in all, Top Golf is a fun time, but it will definitely make a dent in your pocketbook. My friend and I spent about $160 for a few drinks and about an hour and a half of playing on a Friday afternoon. I know other Yelpers have mentioned having to wait a while and I have to assume I just got lucky. We walked in around 4pm and got a bay right away. While it was on the first floor, it was still a lot of fun. read more
