I thought I was in Heaven! I literally had a big ass smile on my face for 30 minutes straight. Golf, good. Sports, good. Full bar, good. Good food, good! what's not to love!!! Flew in from LA on a last minute business trip. UGH 90 degrees at 10PM... you kidding meee?? Anyways, Last night after a long work day, co-workers and I decide to hit up TopGolf after a few recommendations from local co-workers. When we get there, we are all amazed at the size of this place. It's HUGE! and everything looks modern and brand new! We stroll in and i guess we had signs on our heads that said "NEWBIE" but a concierge person greets us and starts explaining how things work. We decide to hit the bar first while we wait for 1 last person to arrive. The bartender who mentions she was originally from LA is very friendly and we chop it up for a bit. Then we head over, pay for the membership cards and the bay. We get a nice explanation of how everything works and we're off! Service was great throughout the night, the golf was fun, even for 2 co-workers who have never hit a golf ball before, and for 2-3 hours of entertainment, it was VERY affordable!!! I hear they plan on opening a location in El Segundo so as soon as they open, You know where I'll be!!! I can't wait to do it again... this time maybe not in 90* weather... read more

If your bartenders think you've been served already they will not serve you. Maggie needs to learn a few things. . Beverly gave us our drinks after we were denied after wrong reasoning. Beverly you need a promotion. Thank you for turning out valentines night into an amazing event. read more

Topgolf - Double eddy Cosmo. Pretty delish. Not for you sweet drink drinkers. - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

We've spend way too much money here for rude service. I would highly recommend not going to this location. We were at the bar for 30 minutes and got no service. The bartenders were talking and laughing with each other. They never once looked at us. It wasn't busy at all. Don't waste your money, unfortunately we had already golfed and we were wanting to get a few drinks. Not worth the $115 we paid. read more

I love to watch golf: Rickie wearing orange on Sundays, Bubba kissing his kid after a game, Rory locking in up in a final round. Unfortunately, I don't play golf. My husband and I just moved to Austin and his insane handicap and annoying (wife comment) coaching skills took any excitement I could muster away. With that said, we went to Top Golf last night and I swung a club for the first time. AND I HIT THE BALL. Sure he scored 50s or 75s on each hit, but my 12 point shot was incredible. The staff wa friendly, witty and helpful. I'm sure we'll be regulars. read more

Great place. There are days like Tuesdays where the golfing is half off which is great. My company had events there and those were great too. Our service associate with Cass and she and her team were great in making sure everyone was happy and having fun. Always enjoy going here and the games make it fun to have fun with people who take golf seriously or just want to have fun. My wife threw my birthday party here and all who attended had a great time. Be sure to reserve a bay more than a few days out to save $$. Five Stars. read more

Great place to hang out with friends and family. We spent about 3 hours in the bay and ordered a bunch of food and drinks. Was great fun and good service too. The chicken wings werent that great. Other food was also okay, but its edible and we were okay with it as we were having a great time playing golf. read more

My brothers and I came here for Sunday Funday and fun it was! Since we came early, it was only $20/hr for each of us to play. This has to be one of the most fun activities I have done. It's almost like bowling for golf, but it's much more posh. You can get drinks and food while you take turns golfing. Each person has to start a membership, and it will track your scores each time you play. It has different locations across the country and your membership will work at all of them. I will definitely be back and visit these during my travels. read more

I was pleasantly surprised, I thought the appeal might be a little limited, but we had a good time. The beverages were good, the service was pretty good, the space was big enough that you didn't feel cramped, and the food was OK (not great). read more

Golfer or not, this place is a blast. While very easy to learn to play, it's also quite expensive. Waiter service is great, never have to leave your bay. Try to go weekdays before 6:00 when it's a lot cheaper. read more

I am used to going to the driving range and getting a set of balls and just hitting the crap out of the ball. This is more computerized. They have a bunch of waitresses and waiters to serve you food while you golf. From 9am to 12pm golfing is 21.64 dollars an hour which is very good and enjoyed this. The place is fun, sometimes the sensor can get the ball out pretty slow and you aim for the target. But good that you can share. For kids clubs and lefties you have to get a bag. Everything is computerized which is great. The only problem is the credit card reader did not work and we had to enter it the old fashion way of entering the numbers. read more

I've heard of Top Golf for quite sometime and finally went to the one in Austin, TX. I was really impressed. It was real busy for a Saturday night 8pm. We had a reservation and that transaction went smoothly. We were up in our bay on time. The hourly rental rate is priced better than I had originally thought and the food and drink prices are great. Speaking of the food and drinks (see attached photos) They were amazing. Great portions and better yet great quality without breaking the bank. The service and facilities are great. I love that the set up is similar to a bowling alley with a private table and chairs and you have a server. The clubs are easy to access and use. The tracking system they use for the balls is awesome. They have a monitor that displays how high, hard, distance and the path with were it landed. They have different methods of playing for points to keep it interesting from game to game. The only issue we had was as well as the ball tracked distance, etc. it would recognize our points earned and we would have to manually enter them from time to time but even that was easy to do. My biggest RECOMMENDATION would be this. Have hand sanitizer at each bay and throughout facility. There's nothing grosser than handling clubs that everyone used before you and then going to eat your food and walking to the restroom every time after your turn gets to be a little much. Overall I really had a great time and will definitely be going back soon. This is great fun. read more

Fun for all ages! My grand kids range in age from 8-13. I enjoyed playing Top Golf as much as they did. My young granddaughter beat my high score, therefore kids do very well in this setting. Our waitress, Sierra S., made our time there even more fun! We had pizza, nachos, and ice cream. It was a great outing and we will definitely be back! read more

Went with a visiting friend, her first time, and my husband for my birthday this past weekend. The bestie and I are complete novices when it comes to golf so we enjoyed that there was no pressure or anyone staring at us as we undoubtedly had the worst form of anyone there! However, my husband does know the game and it was enjoyable to watch him have a good and challenging time. We've been to TopGolf Dallas and were mildly inconvenienced having to replace our cards from the Dallas location since they only worked there. An extra 10 minutes to our registration time but no biggie, we didn't want cards that said 'Dallas' anyways, ha ha. The concierge was friendly and escorted us to our bay since TG Austin operated differently than Dallas. Better payment options at the bay to extend our play time, no wait and the staff also caught that our guest was a 'lefty' and gave her an appropriate set of clubs. Cheers to TG Austin for noticing the details! We enjoyed our fancy bar drinks and even the October signature pumpkin snap cocktail. For three people, the price is a little high, $100.00 for 2 1/2 hours of play plus our drink bill on a Saturday, so it does add up for recreational fun. We'll definitely be back though, just before noon this time, so it's $20 an hour not $40. Overall, an amazing time was had by all! read more

Came for a company holiday party so I can't comment on price or value, but it was definitely a good time even for somebody like me who never golfed before and only tinkered on a driving range once before about 15 years ago. The place is huge, and looks very nice, clean and new. Plenty of clubs to choose from, and the computer system that kept score seemed to work very well. Food was good for appetizers, and service was reasonably fast as well. I'd recommend it, and it'd definitely be a fun way to spend an evening with a group of friends. read more

Went on Wednesday morning and practically had the second level to ourselves which was nice. Enjoyed the queso and salsa, both were very tasty and a good snack while playing. Had a draft beer which was $4, a little pricy, but at least it was a full pint. The server was very nice and personable. This was our second time there but our first on the second level. Highly recommend both the place and the second level. It was a real blast! read more

I went here with a large group, the golfing and food was okay. A bunch of us had bloody mary's, which turned out to be a terrible decision. Everyone who had one was puking about 7-8 hours later. I was puking so much I couldn't get more than an hour or two of sleep that night. It basically ruined our entire trip. When contacted, management couldn't of cared less. I would definitely be weary of eating or drinking at this place. read more

This place is amazing! I been to the one in Dallas before. I was happy to hear that they were opening one in Austin too. It's like a Dave and Busters for golf. You can be an avid golfer or not even a golf fan at all and still have fun at TopGolf. It's $40 a hour at night, but 6 people can play at once so split that it's a little under $7 each person a hour. So not to bad at all. Plus the food is pretty good as well. You can bring your own golf clubs or use the ones they have there. TopGolf is 3 story's tall. The 3rd floor feels like a club up there with lounges and other games (Giant Jenga) for people not hitting golf balls. So for a fun time in Austin this is the new and hottest place to go. read more

It was raining, so maybe that threw everybody off, but the staff here could seriously use a bit more training, especially at concierge. While trying to put myself in queue for two lanes, my concierge guy kept wandering off. Other employees would pull him away or butt in to add other random people ahead of me, or he would have to discuss with the other concierge guy just how to do this and that. Neither really seemed to know what they were doing. And when I asked about the wait time, my guy didn't seem to understand the question. Frustrating. Once you do get started, Top Golf is really fun. Nobody in my group knew how to actually play golf, so it was simply an exercise in releasing aggression. Or for some perfectionists, a way to build aggression. Though, perhaps a little instruction on grip or form would help. Plus, our waitress was super friendly, though the drinks came at a glacial pace. Speaking of drinks, they were generally good, if overpriced. I recommend the Dark & Stormy. Note: I had originally tried to make a reservation, since it was for my birthday. Top Golf first informed me that there were no more reservations to be had, only to call me the next day to figure out the details of my reservation. The inconsistency was strange, especially since they didn't even realize that they had already called me. The reservation itself is super duper expensive though. Basically double the hourly rate and add a mandatory $20 food order per person. read more

This is by far the coolest topgolf location I've been to! The bays are well kept and the range is colorful and well maintained. The food is typical bar food in my opinion, but the cheese fries and salsa here are really good. I love ordering buckets of beer here - its cheap and easy and they stay cold. The service was great and friendly and getting a bay was super quick and easy. If I'm back in the city - i'll be sure to be back here to hit some golf balls! read more

6 people, 3 generations. Dad's 70th birthday celebration. None of us had been here before. There's a little learning curve on operating the game but not bad. Great food, great service, really great atmosphere. 2 of us had never played golf, one has been on the high school golf team for 2 years and the GP's play occasionally. Everyone had fun. Btw, my 4 stars mean really good. I save 5 stars for ultra-amazing. Top Golf almost made 5 from me, but I held back. read more

A great place to play a few games and have a few drinks with friends. The food is mediocre, but I give the drinks an A++. If you are planning on going to the Austin location during the weekend be prepared for a little wait. However, waiting isn't too bad because they have billiards, shuffle board, an xbox and a full bar to keep you entertained while you wait for a dock to open up. It can get a little pricey after noon, since the docks are $40/hr for a group--once you include drinks and food we usually always end up spending around $40 a person. If you get there before noon the docks are only $20/hr, but that's too early for me. Being there after dark is really cool because they turn the lights off and the holes light up like a strobe show--flickering to the beat of the music. Sometimes they even have live music on the third floor! If you are able, I would recommend getting a dock on the second or third floor because I think the balls go father than when you are on the ground level. read more

Topgolf is a pretty cool concept-get to hang out with friends while renting out a golfing bay for the hour is pretty neat. I would totally recommend taking advantage of their specials they offer throughout the weekday/weekend. This place can get pretty pricy, but with enough people it is doable. Pros: -Service is attentive. -Good selection of menu items while being affordable and tasty. -Spacious area where I do not feel crammed while there may be other larger groups close by. -Appreciate that there are various tv all over the place to watch other sporting events. Cons: -For a single person to play golf this may be pricey. Overall-would like to go again with a group and take advantage of their weekend specials. Think this is a prime place for someone who enjoys to golf. But if you are going for the social setting, make sure you are with others who enjoy golfing. read more

I was so disappointed. We took my husband there for Fathers day. Not only did the ball dispenser not work but the score board did not either. The server tried to fix the scoreboard but could not. Told me he could give me extra points but could not give me the balls back. Suggested we just start the gave over with 28 minutes left!! Such a disappointment! What a great concept but such a waste of money for a broken system. I knew something was up when we checked in. One of the girls told us we would be in #301. The other girls just looked at each other. Obviously, there are problems with this area. I spoke to one of the girls in the pink shirts about the scoring system. She said she would check on it and get back with me. I never saw her again. It seems like it would be so much fun if you're in an area that is working properly. I felt like I wasted over $140! read more

Ok I've literally never played golf (unless you count putt putt) before and still have a great time here. I've gone twice now and will be back more times for sure. If you don't know how to play just go to the top level. Gravity will help you get your ball get more momentum towards the holes. I went this morning and decided I should probably figure out how to actually hit a golf ball. I looked up a YouTube tutorial and honestly I still didn't get it and was just ready to whack at some balls and have a drink and that is absolutely fine here. Don't feel pressured. There is a wide range of skill levels among the customers and really this is just to have fun. When you get to your bay you get to pick a game style from the computer and that will determine how you're scored. There are games ranging from beginner to advanced so you can pick whatever sounds fun. Also, no need to be nervous about picking a club. The are in a rack that explains what they are good for so you can use that as a guide. Really, if you don't know what you're doing just try a bunch of clubs until you find one that works for you. Their drinks are also on point. I had an extremely well mixed skinny margarita during my game. Just drink a few drinks and have fun. This place is great. read more

Justin was AWFUL rude and unprofessional I won't be returning here. Get your team fixed (:

A fun event for a group of people. Over the years it's gotten on the pricy side for me so we don't come as often, but if you have enough people to split the cost of your bay it's a good group activity. read more

Visited this place with some friends last night. I'd never been there before, but I heard it was really good. I was not disappointed! We had to wait two hours for a spot to open up, but Detour was close enough that it didn't really matter. It's so much more than just a driving range, and I was very impressed with the quality of their in-house clubs and equipment. Their prices were a tad high, but the food and beer were worth the cost. The queso was delicious, and the pitchers of beer were nice and cold. I'll definitely be a regular. read more

I celebrated my birthday party here on 8/23 with 5 other friends and we had an awesome time. The food was great, the service was great, the golf games were great. It's a perfect place for a small group of 4-6 people. I'd personally recommend the Banh Mi flatbread... delicious! It wasn't all great, however, as the touch screen on our booth didn't work. Whenever we tried to touch the screen to enter a name or make a payment or add time, the cursor went crazy flying all over the screen. We alerted the staff and a maintenance guy came over once and wiped the screen down and said it was due to the humidity, but that didn't fix it. Since it was a packed house we just lived with it, but I think we lost a lot of time messing around with the touch screen, probably 30 minutes or more. A couple of customers also decided to use the emergency exit throughout the night, and our booth was right next to the blaring alarm which took 5-10 minutes to deactivate each time! Why someone would just choose to walk out that door that was clearly marked EMERGENCY EXIT - ALARM WILL SOUND is beyond me, but it happened twice in three hours. Those two quirks aside, it was still a fun overall experience. I'll definitely bring out-of-town visitors here in the future. read more

My husband and I were in town celebrating our anniversary and his birthday. We had the BEST time at this place. The flatbread was delicious...I tried two since I couldn't choose just one and I'm so glad that I did. Each of them were amazing. My cocktails were spot on, and they were quick to correct my Moscow mule when the bartender had used way too much lime juice. We had a blast attempting to actually successfully hit the ball. Once we somewhat "mastered" that goal, we moved on to trying to be accurate enough to hit the targets. They are supposed to be opening one on SA soon and I can't wait!! It's going to be awesome! Update 7/25/14: Came back for more fun with about 12 family members. The waiting area downstairs with free use of pool tables and multiple XBOX Kinect games was awesome. I love this place even more, and really can't wait for ours to open in SA. read more
