I went to Topgolf for the first time last weekend and it did not disappoint! I was pretty nervous at first, because I've never picked up a golf club at all but I actually caught on pretty quickly and playing in a group is super fun. Their food selection was great. Their alcoholic beverages were pretty watered down and expensive which can be a good or a bad thing depending on preference but I am a very once in a blue moon drinker and even I wondered if I got the right drink lol. I absolutely would do this again with a group of friends or family. It's definitely family friendly as well. TIP: it is VERY loud the entire time. Very young kids may not be able to handle the environment as well as older kiddos. read more

Wow top golf. I'm sad to have to leave this review but after this experience I must. We arrived for our prepaid time slot and started playing. No one stopped by to say hi, ask for any drink or food orders or even check regarding clubs (one of our players is left handed). After 45 minutes of us trying to get someone's attention, we were able to flag down an employee to let them know we'd like to order some drinks and food. Even after we flagged the employee down he said he'd be right back and sent someone else to grab our orders. This was after MANY instances of seeing several employees standing around wasting time. Wow. We ordered drinks and food finally and the server ended up bringing us incorrect drinks. (Red wine instead of wine, forgotten other drinks). We were never further engaged with. Such a bummer. As someone who works in customer service, I would be horrified to be managing a location with this sort of interaction. read more

I came here about a decade ago, and remember having a good time. Last time I was here with a bunch of rowdy guys. This time I came with my wife and 7-year-old and it exceeded expectations. The service was incredibly good, with our main waiter/helper/server guy being incredibly helpful and attentive. The games were fun enough for three golf novices, and while the food and drinks were exactly what you'd expect, they kept our energy up and spirits high. We doubled our initial hour of play to two and my son was clamoring to come back the next day. That's a win in my book. read more

Had a night out with the girls. we enjoyed the night so much - forgot to take a lot of pics. we were seated in level 3 (or 2 idk only one flight of stairs to the top) we were the last booth down to the right- bad placement forsure since we were all the way to the side of all the holes and the "greens" were missing from down below our table. The camera for the balls wasn't reading correctly either and we each had to hit the ball until we made it every round or it would just be stuck on the same player.half way through our game the manager came over and comped our play time and offered to move us. we opted to just finish up where we were at. our waitress was amazing! her name was Camie and that girl knows how to get things done! she had fabulous recommendations & was pretty honest about her opinions. she even brought over a sweet treat for the birthday girl which was a surprise to us all! cool place, decent food and drinks. This location is open until 1 o'clock in the morning and their kitchen stays open late as well so it's a great place if you're staying on the north side of Austin to grab a bite to eat if you've been out and about all day or in our case, you've been out at the F1 Grand Prix, which is on the very far south side of Austin. The first night we stopped in here we sat at the bar on the main level. My husband got the turkey club, which is a huge sandwich, but it is done with Texas toast so it's a lot of bread. I got the lemon pepper dry rub wings, which were excellent nice and crispy and I love that the celery and the carrots that they pair with it were 100% fresh crisp and delicious. The second night we were there we both got the lemon pepper wings. It was a Sunday night, so it was definitely busier than it was when we went the first night but again the lemon pepper wings were delicious nice and crispy and the veggies were spot on. Their beer tap selection is very limited and they do not have any cider on tap. They definitely push their mixed cocktails more than anything else. We did overhear a few people trying to order certain things and it did sound like they were very limited on how they could do their substitutions. Met friends at Topgolf for some "play" golf (not a 18-hole golf course. ) You got the opportunity to swing some golf clubs to accumulate points by hitting your golf balls in one of the big green circles or hopefully near the green circles. Top golf was perfect for amateur golfers like myself. There were some folks that swung their clubs at the golf ball and completely missed. So I felt in good company. We had bites of hummus, vegetables and deli meats. Tea and water were also served. Our server was attentive keeping a continuous flow of appetizers. Super fun environment... For a holiday, the place was packed. The few other times we have visited Top Golf, we have always been on the first floor. Today we were on the third floor. Unfortunately, my team did not win. Had a big team event here. We reserved 10 bays and had food catered. Service was very good at getting us drinks. The food was fresh and decent. We had a choice of salad, chicken, beef, shrimp fajitas with the usual fajita condiments. Some of us like me didn't know how to properly swing a golf club so there was a person helping us play the games and teaching at least the starting form for a golf swing. I knew I was coming here with a group of my fellow coworkers more than a week in advance which gave me plenty of time to read through dozens of reviews. Most yelpers are pretty happy with the place, but many said there are some quality issues with the food and many complain of their experience being overpriced. It also looks like Hugh D (business manager) comments on every single review post. There's not a lot of good informative photos and even less videos, so I thought I'd fill in that gap. Let's start with parking. If you're coming here with a group for an early day gathering, parking should be no problem whatsoever, but that may not be the case in the evening during peak times. After surveying the parking lot there is about 300 spaces give or take. On the southwest corner outside of the building there is a small putting course which you can use. At the entrance, you'll find the main desk along with some merchandise to purchase, the elevator to the 3 floors and an ATM. There are some stairs leading downstairs that go to a private room with a couple of pool tables. You can use the clubs they provide or bring your own, but there is a maximum of eight guests per bay. Our group of 20 rented out three golfing bays and had a buffet off to the side. The food looked appealing, but the ingredients were on the 3 star level. Good and acceptable , just not great. They do provide nice silverware and cloth napkins, but our plates were a lttle "dingy" and still wet from the dishwasher. At least the service was attentive. With that said, it is a lot of fun to knock the ball as far down the course as you can while listening to soft rock overhead. Definitely worth revisiting. FOOD: Food is your basic American fare, but the one thing that is a MUST (for dessert fans), is the Donut Hole-in-Ones INJECTED with chocolate. For private events, food is served buffet-style behind your bay. HOW TO PLAY: Top Golf relies on technology, and that includes the sensors in the golf balls. Once you arrive at your bay, you can choose to play however you would like. The classic game would be having players aim to hit the balls in targeted areas for higher points. FEEDBACK: For first timers, I wish they made the experience more special. Why not have a "golf pro" instruct on how to select a proper club or how to hit a ball? It had been a while since I played at Topgolf, but did remember to open the Topgolf app and made a reservation for the day before. I recommend to this where I went on a Saturday around lunchtime and the place was busy and the parking lot almost full. Prices are determined by the time of day where cheaper in the morning and get more expensive in the afternoon, and recommend checking the their website or social media for daily specials. But first checked out the Topgolf Shop where they carry quality merchandise from Travis Matthew, and even made a purchase. The first floor had a pool table and second had a large indoor bar. Since I made a reservation upon check-in was told to make my way straight to my assigned bay. Our favorites games to play were Angry Birds and Sonic the Hedgehog. Like before can control the TV and change the channel you want to watch. There was also an outdoor bar right behind my bay but our server was well attentive in bring food and drinks, As for the food there was a big menu and selected the Crispy Chicken Strip with French fries. Love top golf and the years of entertainment it's brought me with coworkers and friends alike. I feel like it's one of those places where corporate events function well in a group gathering as the bays are a little pricy when it's just hubs and I on date night at $60/hr after 4/5pm. Brought our little one last night with their sonic, angry birds and captain America promo campaign and really love the new challenges and missing the old retired ones from 2017 lol. I also love that they're trying VR golf which is an interesting concept, paired with a strong drink menu and decent food selection, it's a safe space to play and entertain. I will say the one big gripe is the parking lot is just insane and crowded but that's to be expected from a place with a huge crowd. Reservation because of whatever a text message or something and they were not accommodating and I do not recommend they put us in the walk in waitlist instead of the reservation waitlist on a technicality We sat down for our hour and a half wait time and no waitress approached us to take our order for ten minutes so I went to ask and they said you have to go to the bar to order and then the bartender has just ignored us despite us standing here for five minutes The bathrooms for the women and men's had urine on the toilet seats and are gross the staff was rude and racist I think The guy said ketchup would be at our table but it wasn't we had mustard and salt and pepper but got it for ourselves from another table. I love this top golf! I am not the best golfer but went here recently with my family and the games were user friendly and food was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting the mac n cheese bites to be so good but they were creamy inside and crispy outside so it is the perfect bite. I love that there were so many games that you could choose from while you are hanging out, there are some more realistic golfing games as well as some golf "angry birds" games which were so fun. I also tried the crispy chicken burger which came with tater tots, also delicious. Top golf austin is the worst top golf of all time I have reserved the bay online and they assigned bay 133 and 134 on Friday evening at 7:30pm it is the worst possible bay in whole top golf, it is hot as hell not a good place to be We have requested another bay multiple time Even try to request with manager, one of the manage (Val) were smirking and then said no we don't have no option take it or leave it. Very arrogant attitude, no trying nothing. Even another manager Tanner is also not helpful at all. Same horrible attitude Also we had 2 under 2 year kids and 2 under 7 year old and pregnant lady to stay in that hot horrible spot, no sympathy no curtsy, we included in request that its hot and not a good spot still no help. Definitely not a place to spend upwards of $600 (total bill). We are pay $30 for online reservation and get this bay and not able change or wait an hour to get another bay, also they charge $65/ hour for golfing, it is completely ripoff. Worst place to go for austin for golfing. Beware if you get Val or Tanner as guest service. Definitely not recommended for kids as staff is not kids friendly, At last one minute left and Ashley of the bay handler we like i have to clean, with kids they don't give one minute extra but my bay automatically started counting bay assign not when i check in at the bay. She shouted at the babies at the end of the going out as we were almost 2 minute over for still having the clubs. I love top golf for when you don't want to go out and drink and dance but still want to be outsideeee. I recommend going on a date or group of friends (they limit to six people in a bay). It's pricy but when you split it up it's not too bad. I like going on a Tuesday when it's half off the bays! For drinks I don't really recommend it since it's sugary and watered down (I like sugary drinks and sweets so this is saying a lot). Save money on drinks and get a whole spread of food! I enjoy all their flat breads, their garlic parm is saucy while the buffalo wings are kind of dry, but for me I love their take on nachos! I enjoy their chicken nachos a lot and I don't even order nachos but their take on it is really hearty and healthier than a whole plate of chips. It's a little annoying that the clock starts ticking immediately, even if you have issues starting. First time golfer here!! For a sunny Saturday, it wasn't as packed as I worried. We managed to find parking surprisingly as there were a ton of cars already parked. We didn't book a bay in advance but was still given a choice for which of the three levels we wanted to play on. We chose the middle bay which is the same level the bar and the entrance is at. I was a first time member so there was a 5$ fee tacked onto the total. There are screens at each bay where you can reserve the amount of time starting at 30 minute intervals. When there is 15 minutes left of game time, a pop up will show up asking if you'd like an extension. Servers will come check in on you only once you sign in on the tablet and start your game session. If you don't sign in 15 minutes after being assigned to the bay, the bay can be reallocated to other patrons. The restroom is nesr the entrance when you come in and turn to the right. Total costs: 47$ per hour (arrived around 1 on Saturday) 14.75$ Hot Honey Flatbread 11.75$ Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich Hot Honey Flatbread was great! The cheese had a nice pull (albeit subtle) and the hot honey was sweeter than hot. We got it with a side of ranch which they forgot to give us when they gave us the order. We requested the server for it and were provided with it shortly. The chicken sandwich had surprisingly warm ranch-- I was expecting it to be cold. Since the buns weren't really toasted, the sandwich got really soggy midway eating. Not sure what sauce was paired with the tater tots but it tasted kinda sweet and wasn't too flavorful in general but the tater tots were a good crunchy size. I'm glad they have towlettes at each table and hand sanitizers against the wall. Trying to play and eat raises hygiene concerns for some I'm sure. There weren't any napkins at the tables so you'd have to request napkins from either the server or the bar folks. I had a lot of fun for someone who had no prior golfing experience! I liked that we were left alone (no hovering employees trying to tell me how to play) but that did make it really difficult to get the hang of it the first couple swings. For a spring break activity we brought my boys to play at Topgolf. We made a reservation online. They have specials throughout the week. Tuesdays were a discounted day. You can bring your own golf clubs, which is really cool. So we did. I ordered the bottomless chips and salsa, and a queso. The salsa was awesome. Our server was so attentive. They put us on the bottom level so there wasn't any fear of the boys getting to close to the edge. The floor level also had several pool tables / games as well. We just left here after Mothers Day. Fully aware during a holiday that things can be crazy. When we checked in the front desk was unbelievably nice and super helpful. They put us next to each other in a bay. They greeted all the moms with roses and it was very very kind. I can't speak enough about how kind everybody was when we first entered topgolf. When we got our bays on the first floor #109 & #110 our server was very kind but soon became very hard to find- she was at the table directly next to us and would never stop to ask if we needed help. It was very hard to nail her down. We didn't get waters our entire time there until the very end. I don't know if these establishments are individually owned franchisees but the food here was absolutely horrific. It seemed like it was warmed up chicken in the microwave. The drinks were horrible. We ordered a long iced tea and I'm pretty sure the bartender made it with mixers only with no alcohol, which is irritating. I actually watched him make it and I asked him if it was a premixed drink and he said no it was just sweet-and-sour and cola and I go but there's alcohol in this correct and he goes. Oh yeah sure... Pretty sure there was nothing in it It's pretty sad because we have visited Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas topgolf and they are all absolutely phenomenal. Even their menu seems different. Colton was the name of the guy who decided to add in his two cents while a lady was helping us getting us situated to golf at the front desk. He asked for IDs very aggressively and I was the only one who's wasn't and in person copy due to a car break in and it getting stolen. He then proceeded to use profanity which was so unprofessional saying "that shit is so easily photoshopped" as I was accommodating to many different forms of verification of age logging into school grading system that says my birthday, etc. No nice customer service at all I do not recommend if you're going to fail to bring such a simple item that isn't advertised that loudly to be cussed out as a young adult. So I haven't hit a golf ball in 20 years. My son and future daughter in law asked us to go give it a try. I was very apprehensive but we gave it a try. It was fun and the computer graphics and different games you can play made it fun for all levels. My wife won 3 of the 4 games played and she hit the ball the shortest of all of us but was consistent. I must say that the food was amazing. We got chips and guacamole and they were served fast and were very fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the pepperoni with hot honey flatbread. One of the best things I did this summer is purchasing the TopGolf Summer Pass. It's been my go-to stress reliever this summer. I get to hit some balls while staying cool with fans (Texas heat is no joke). I grew up hitting balls at the driving range, and the first floor at TopGolf brings back those same feelings. When its just me, I typically play a virtual course on the first floor and I know it's helping my golf game. When I'm on the second or third floor, I still play the virtual course, cause it makes look Iike I am hitting better but with their RFID technology in each ball I know the trust cause it tells me the distance. However the second and third levels are great for hanging with friends or the kids. You can play Angry Birds, Block Party and many other games so all ages and skill levels have fun. You can even bring up to five people per bay for the same price. The food is good too. My favorite foods are the nachos, donut holes, grilled cheese, and tater tots. But the bay next to me ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip last time and the smell alone convinced me that's a future order. Everyone's friendly and helpful, but Cory is my favorite! He makes going to TopGolf feel like I going to see family. He's always looking out. He tells me the deals, like the Summer Pass was extended, told me about the upgraded clubs offer, my clubs are almost 30 yrs old, the platinum pass, so many other things.
