Topgolf was a fun visit - especially for a work outing. They had a really nice conference room, with lots of TV screens for showing presentations, and a super easy plug & play set up. There was a nice lunch buffet, and a cool-looking drink setup (I should've taken a picture). Our group had enough for 4 bays (we had teams of 5) and it was a nice, smooth pace to play. I'll admit, I was a little confused at how the game worked when the lady was explaining the game setup and rules...so thank goodness our work group had a couple of experience Topgolfers to help us out. But looking back now, it's generally a simple concept; and you don't have to play other types of games if you don't want to. I like the Topgolf game the best: hit the ball in the hole to get points. (Too bad you don't get points for hitting the right sandtrap, because I nailed that sucker 99% of the time.) My only complaint was the location of the bathrooms. We ended up being on the very far bays on the 2nd floor (the "main" floor?), and it was a lengthy walk to get to the bathroom. It's a little inconvenient when you've been drinking. Considering how pricey things could get (drinks, food, gameplay time), it's probably not one of my top choices for an outing with me and the hubs (especially since he's not a golfer). But for a larger group, like a double date, I think it'd be fun - and much more price effective! read more

I went here last night for my sister's birthday, and we had a blast. I had never been, but the employees made it so easy for me to set up an account and find a great playing area. I think one of the best part Topgolf is the fact that you don't have to be a serious or experienced golfer to play and have a great time. The food looked amazing, and we ordered the chips and queso-- which were great. Each booth has comfortable couches, tables, tvs, heaters... everything you need to relax and have a great time. My sister (who has never really even swung a golf club before) had a great time, and by the end of the night had really started smacking them! Me and a group of friends went out last night for my soon to be birthday coming up and I had the most mediocre service Ive ever received in my life! The waitress was not courteous at all. We waited 2 hours for food on a non busy Sunday. Then after we asked for the manager it seemed like he avoided our table at all cost! Not to mention how they rushed us off the Tee. (This was around 10:45pm and they close at 12a). It would also be good for team-building in the workplace! Food was good. Not amazing, but really decent. We shared chips, salsa & guac, as well as a smoked brisket grilled cheese, and enjoyed it all. How can you not like Top Golf? I'm a golfer and I love it. It brings a level playing field to all of your party with the different games you can play. The only downside is the potential wait that you might face (memberships helps to avoid this, though I'm not a member). If you're waiting, check out the other floors of this place. You can check out games, billiards, and other things. There's also a few bars to get food and refreshments during the wait. Once you get the bay, the wait staff is so good with attentiveness and service. As a beer fan, I really enjoy their tap list and selection. Just keep track of your time! It is easy to add a little time here, a little time here, and all of the sudden you're shutting the place down! Ha. The app-based scoring and rating system is great too. The tech of this place is innovative, and I can't get enough of this place. Topgolf may not be actual golf, but it does reach out to a very broad population and brings exposure to the game more. So I have often wondered about this mystical place across from the Domain with netting around it. I had heard great things, but they were mainly from golfers, so I wasn't quite sure. Then, in three weeks I was here for two different work events. The first time, our group was large and not with many golfers in it, so we did more socializing, eating and drinking than golfing (read: was there for hours and I never picked up a golf club). The food was OK that time and the servers were relatively attentive given the size of our group. The second tome I went, I understood the hype, for both golfers and non golfers alike. We had four bays and two servers who were super attentive and informative about the golf games and rallied us for team scrambles to encourage everyone to get involved. Great concept a hybrid of driving range, bowling, and darts is what I think it is. Great atmosphere and it's always so much fun with a big group to hang out and just have a good time. You don't need any clubs they have clubs for you to use but you can use your own as well. No need to be a pro you can just go out and hit a few balls no problem. Great place to have a party as well. It has a full bar so you can order whatever you want to drink. The food is good too but the menu is a little weird. They didn't have a lot of the things we wanted to order but supposedly they are getting a new menu at the end of the month. It's a little pricey though 40 bucks an hour for the bay plus food so you definitely will spend quite a bit of money going there. Though if you go before certain time it's only 20 an hour. The parking is atrocious so be prepared to loop around until you can find a spot. Overall a great place to go and have a good time would definitely go again but can't give it the 5 stars with the parking and menu issues. read more

Husband got addicted to this place after my company's Christmas party was hosted here. It's a great atmosphere, beautiful at night, with music and lights. Their happy hour pricing is fantastic! Hubby came to top golf so many times after Christmas that for our wedding anniversary in March, I bought him a set of driver and clubs. The food here is definitely above average, the drinks are just as delicious, though I can't judge 100% myself on the drinks since I have zero tolerance. They are pet friendly so we always bring our furry babies with us. Went back to TopGolf a second and third time. The ball machines all worked and the service was prompt. I tried quite a bit off their menu: chili cheese fries, mac daddy burger, pickle fried chicken, and the s'mores cookie sandwich dessert. The food's a great value and delicious. The burger was so good on it's own that it barely needed the green chili mac and cheese. But I'm not complaining because I always look for an excuse to eat mac and cheese. The pickle chicken was a surprise. The salty pickle taste was present, but did not overwhelm the sandwich. The s'more dessert was as billed. I have a thing for melted marshmallow: in ice cream, on s'mores, on top of ice cream, you name it. Very rich dessert and very delicious. Definitely can be split among 2, if not, 3 people. One thing I didn't see, but I wish they had is more data on my topgolf performance. I'd love to be able to track statistics online and be able to see my longest shots. The staff was friendly and the service fairly fast - even if a bit on the pricey side. The cocktail selection is fun and themed, but they have different people taking orders and delivering the drinks. And I was directed to the wrong person twice. A bit annoying especially since our server changes half-way through the night. I think that the system could be improved a little. I had the chicken sandwich and it was ok. The buns were a bit dry and the chicken was rather plain. Tried a few bites of other random things friends ordered and I was not impressed. Honestly so much fun, I think the whole concept is great being that it has a new spin on the average driving range. It was rather chilly the night I went but the staff turned on over head heaters that really helped. Had my first experience with Top Golf last Friday. Family was visiting from out of town - they are golfers and I am not. Figured this could be a fun activity for all of us. And it was! I am not a golfer in the least and I had a blast (after my sister taught me how to swing a golf club). There are different kinds of games to play with the targets, and you can have a great time at all different skill levels. All of my family are pretty hard core golfers, and I am a novice - we all had a blast. The food and drinks are little pricey - but they are all fantastic. (And they accommodate gluten free people pretty well**) The wait staff, and everyone working that day was very courteous. You are greeted from the moment you drive into the parking lot - the place is a well oiled machine. Oh and the best part - they even have heaters above the lounge/sitting areas for cooler days! And you have control over your own heater if you need to adjust it - awesome! The overall cost can be little pricey - but it's truly worth it. They have a sophisticated computer system to track the scores of the games, and the service is top notch. I highly recommend it! read more

Came here in 14 January. Good fun place to go hit some golf balls. There's lots of games to play to compete with whoever you came with. Theres plenty of seating for large groups too. This is definitely a spot for the younger generation. The golf bays are outdoors and the crowd and servers are quite casual. The "traditions" of golf are not observed (collared shirts). My husband and I refer to it as a "bar with a golfing range." The facility is well-designed and attractive. While it doesn't appeal to us, we can see the appeal to others. We found the service a bit sloppy, which is a critical factor to longevity. We hoped to have a party here, but professionalism was low and pricing was high. Management should take note. read more

If you haven't paid a visit to TopGolf at the Domain, you need to go as soon as you possibly can. TopGolf is a great place to get together with your friends, drink, eat, and hit golf balls. They have several games to suit any sort of golfer, whether you are competitive or you're absolutely horrible and just want to swing the club and have a good time. The food is delicious (I am a huge fan of the Cheese Flatbread)! The best part of the whole entire experience is the service. I've been to the one in San Antonio, and they are quite similar, but this time we came at night, so here's some tips. -It's more family friendly during the day/morning. Drunks around at night. Also it's cheaper in the morning. -Never go to the bottom section, it's just not as good and noone wants it so they'll basically beg you to go to the bottom section -If you need lefty or kids clubs ask before you get your spot or it takes too long -The food is pretty good and family friendly but heavy food, better to eat after playing -The burgers are undercooked so order well done maybe unless you like bloody burgers (ordered medium well) -The misting fans are very powerful and blow away salads -The fans will ruin your hairdo and make hair fly all over your face -Don't wear a low cut shirt unless you want to flash everyone around you every time you play -Compression type clothing would probably be useful if you are a curvy female and really care about playing golf over looking cute -Don't bring immature teens who think they're Hercules because you will be afraid to get hurt -The waiters work hard for their money so tip them well -2 hours is plenty in my opinion read more

We've spend way too much money here for rude service. I would highly recommend not going to this location. We were at the bar for 30 minutes and got no service. The bartenders were talking and laughing with each other. They never once looked at us. It wasn't busy at all. Holy crap this place is fun. Golf has never appealed to me, my husband plays in our house and hits me with foam golf balls sometimes and any time I have tried to hit a golf ball before has resulted in complete misses and total frustration, but friends said we were doing top golf on new years eve and that's what we did. I only swung and missed my very first time and then I got serious. By the 3rd round I was hitting a target on all 5 swings!!! I live in FL and want to build a top golf here. I had heard about this place for a long time and was excited to try it out. Brought my son and met another dad and son. We arrived at 7:30 and it wasn't near as crowded as we had heard. Probably because it looked like it might storm. We had dinner first which came pretty quick. I had the Italian sausage flatbread which was very good. Once we finished eating we lined up a golf spot, which only took about a fifteen minute wait. I had heard it takes two hours on a busy night. Had a lot of fun hitting balls at the targets. It is lit up pretty well, but we had a hard time seeing the balls that we hit long. I highly recommend this place for a fun evening whether you like golf or not. read more

TopGolf, I'm so happy you finally made it to Austin! As a former Dallasite, I have been to the TopGolf there 3 or 4 times. I thought I knew what to expect, but the Austin location honestly blew me up. We went after work on Tuesday and despite the parking lot being PACKED, we immediately got a bay. We had several newbies in the group and a nice young lady took us up to our bay and explained the entire process of how to play a game, how to add players, delete players, load up your card, etc. She was very friendly to a questioning bunch of engineers. They also have clubs at each bay that anyone can use. The computer game system is nice because you don't have to go get a bucket of balls like in the Dallas location. You just wave your club and TAA DAAA a little ball comes out onto your green. While our server took a little while to initially greet us, we received top notch service after that. We had 6 people in our group and he constantly refilled our beer and water glasses throughout the evening. We had quite a few managers come up and talk to us and ask how everything was going. We had a great time playing golf, and quite a few of us chose to just socialize and let some of the guys take over our spot in the game. There is only one reason for 4 instead of 5 stars: -The Food: While I don't expect a 5 star dinner while I'm boozing and attempting to hit the golf ball further than the red tee, the food here really is sub par. We had to send back some chips because they had an awful burnt taste to them and the returned chips tasted about the same. Then they told us they don't actually make their chips in house so they probably just got a bad batch. We got the $9 queso and chips taken off of our bill, but still. Had a blast here. Not only is the price reasonable but there is amazing customer service. John (I think he was a floor manager?) came by to make sure everything was to our liking. One of the fan's was out and he really made us feel taken care of. I used to work for Cornell University's renowned School of Hotel Management and he seemed like he had skills on par with those graduates which is saying a lot. I went here for the first time last Friday and plan on returning. Their guest-service is out of this world and the food (at least what I got) is really good. My friend and I walked in and were clearly confused until Beau came right up to us to offer assistance. He also checked in with me later to see how I was doing. I don't remember our waitresses name, but she was also attentive. Our bartender JT was personable and guest-driven. We were told that there would be a one hour wait for a hole, but I think it was about 20 minutes. I ordered the shrimp and grits for $10 and was expecting cheap grits and tiny shrimp--that was not the case. The grits were creamier than I'm used to, but good, and the shrimp was plump and tasty. The beer selection isn't expansive, but the selections are good and have standard prices ($5 drafts and bottles). I noticed an obvious area for improvement, though: The parking lot needs to be significantly larger. Every spot was taken when I got there on Friday around 9pm. There is a huge lot on the side of Top Golf, but for whatever reason, it was blocked off with a sign that warned people not to park there unless they wanted to get towed. read more

I have never played golf before. Not a driving range. I sucked at putt putt as well. That darn windmill . . . but my friends kept telling me to go to Top Golf. I don't own any clubs . . . doesn't matter here. I had a great time! I even had to wait over an hour to play, but I had a great time! They've got a nice bar area. Plenty of TV's showing ESPN or other sports channels. My only ding of taking off a star is that their wait staff doesn't seem to always pick up on when there's a new group or not. It took ~30 minutes to be asked if we wanted anything. We got our beer, but the lady forgot our waters. Back to the golf. So they got clubs at every bay that anyone can use. I went with one friend that knows how to golf, and several of us had no clue. It was a lot of fun. How much fun? Well, let's say that when I have a week day off, I'm considering secretly going there to hit an hour or so until I can make good contact. This place has been open awhile and it's hopping on a Tuesday night. They could open another in Austin, and it would still be crazy busy. Whoever thought of putting on in Austin was smart. I went here once and this place is not like any other driving range. It's fun and the atmosphere is very hippy. Food is pretty decent. Love it. Just a little loud but Staff members are nice, a young lady at the front desk was super helpful as she was helping me. I think her name was phe lo?? (Sorry if i butchered it, all I knew was that she told me it rhymed with cee-low haha) It was a unique name for sure!! She was super helpful for my first time.
