I absolutely LOVE this place. I've been twice now. Once my husband and i met another couple and celebrated a milestone birthday and the second time we took our niece and nephew. It's not cheap but they do offer a military discount plus if you split the cost with others it's not bad. Keep in mind if you reserve a bay, sometimes there's a fee. Not thrilled about that part. You do have to buy a membership card the first time too. Look for offers, I know ATT has a BOGO hour on Sundays. A bay is for a maximum of six people. I prefer the couches but they also have bar top tables. You don't have to be an experienced golfer to play. I'd never hit a gold ball in my life and had a blast. The menu is great. Loved the buffalo chicken sliders. Great drinks. Get a Golf Bag drink! Shareable cocktail in a take home mug. Yummy and the mug lights up! For dessert, you have to try the injectable donut holes and get all flavors. Golfing at night is a little more expensive but it's extra fun in the dark with lights. read more

I heard about this place from a friend who lives in Houston. She told me how much fun it was and it would make a great date night with the hubby. I always look online to see what a place is all about and read reviews. I like to be familiar before I go there so that I don't hold up the line. I took advantage of signing up for a TopGolf Member Card for $5 why not. We were off on MLK Day and it was a beautiful day in Austin so why not head to TopGolf. Wow, it's in a nice area near the Domain next door to IBM (very smart). Lots of parking and there's a ramp for those who prefer to walk the ramp or for anyone in a wheelchair. Got inside and I had a wow factor. Very spacious and inviting. We were greeted as soon as we got in and let the person know it's our first time. She directed us to the correct desk to get started. We were then directed to the Concierge desk to get our bay. We got there in time, no long wait we were immediately taken to the 2nd floor. The host showed us what to do when we got to the bay and how to work the box to get started and good tips on how to score points. I already had a sneak peek of their menu so I already knew I wanted sliders and tots. They serve Pepsi products so Sierra Mist on tap for me. Our server was quick and friendly. Our food was out within 10 minutes. The food was good and tasty. We played 3 games of 20 balls each for about an hour. It was a lot of fun and it's great for dates, groups, families and work events as well. We spend the same amount of money here as we do at the movies, bowling and the shooting range. We plan to do this on a regular for our QT outing. We saw a foosball table that made my eyes light up...I'm very competitive with the hubby. read more

We had Travis as our server. Let me just say best server in Texas! We were visiting from Charleston and he made the experience so special for us. It was also our friends first time at top golf. If you come here, ask for Travis! Well worth it. read more

Clean, great environment for groups. Def confusing and incredible amount of direction for newbs rather than just make it simple. I feel there would be fewer directions in a sky jumping school. Games & scoring system were a little weird. Mediocre players def score more by remaining consistent, not going for distance. With all that, fantastic fantastic service. Morgan G was very direct with her rules and 'welcoming' speech. Great welcome vibe from her. It was also very obvi that management has set awkward metrics for reviews like this. It's frustrating to receive great, genuine help from people like Morgan then have it undercut knowing we're just a number. She was so genuine. read more

TopGolf... I'm not really sure what went wrong with your Bar staff, but I was truly offended... maybe they just don't like old white guys.... My first visit to TopGolf with a friend. The Golf part was nice, and the service was very good there but afterward we went to the bar for a couple drinks and food. That is where our experience fell apart.... There were very few people at the bar four groups of two including us, as I recall. There were 4, or maybe 5 employees behind the bar hanging out and chatting etc.... My friend and I ordered drinks and asked for a menu which we received. About halfway through our drinks we attempted to wave down one of the bar attendants to order some food. I attempted to get an attendant's attention a few times and so did my friend and they just seemed to ignore us. My friend even used the large white menu card to catch their attention but that didn't work either. We tried to catch someone's eye but they seemed to avoid eye contact with us while milling around and chatting among themselves and with others... again the bar only had three other groups of two people (not busy at all) so I have to think the rude neglect by your employees had to be purposeful. We did get their attention long enough to pay our bill and we left. read more

Great place. I've been here both as a work outing, and also with my wife. Pricey, but good for special occasions- would be great for a low key birthday, or to take out of towners. I'm not a golf person at all, but even I found it enjoyable, because you can still get points even if the ball barely leaves the ground and rolls into the nearest hole. Gameplay ranges from simple to quite complex and challenging. The clubs are provided, along with the 'missing guidebook' of which club to use for which kind of hit. Service is good, which is fitting considering what you are paying. I'd love to come here more often but if I do, it will definitely be off-peak! read more

The BF and I's first experience is one we will never forget! We came in right after lunch. We went through guest services to get our membership cards. We were waiting for almost 15 minutes since their system was down. Shalya was very apologetic about the wait. We also ran into one of my BF's friends who actually works there. He's training to become a server so ask for JP when you get the chance! Apparently the system was down the entire time we were there. (about 2.5 hours) So we weren't able to keep score or even keep up with our time of hitting balls. That's what we did the whole time... literally hit balls. We had a few drinks and even tried the chicken wings. The wings are huge and ask for them naked with the sauces on the side. The waiters really know the menu so don't be afraid to ask for suggestions. Since the system was down... we didn't have to pay for our time hitting balls. We paid for our food and were on our way. read more

Whoever the brainchild is for this place is a GENIUS. It i had millions of dollars to invest in something, I would love to buy one of these. This place is a MONEY MAKER! This is one of the funnest places I've been to in a while. I could spend hours here and the soreness for the next few days is fully worth it. Whether you want to go on a fun date or hang out with a group of friends, this place is awesome! You don't have to be a great golfer to have fun here. You can be a total beginner and still have a GREAT time! I cannot believe how busy this place is even with over 100 bays. I've never gone on a weekday but be prepared to wait if you go on the weekend. I've gone on a Saturday on Sunday afternoon when it was HOT and it was still pretty packed where we had to wait at least 30 minutes for a bay. There's a big bar downstairs just past the concierge so you can have some drinks and hang out while you wait for your bay. The bays have either high tables with barstool-like chairs or comfy outdoor chairs with a large table in front. The servers are easily accessible and check up on your often which is great. The food was surprisingly pretty good. The way the whole hitting system works is really cool from how you wave your club head in front of the sensor for the ball to come out to how it's able to track your ball to give you your points. Even if the weather's hot, they have fans and misters so it doesn't seem as bad. You have some much fun, you forget about the heat. My only complaint is that they allow dogs. Now, before you start hating on me, don't get me wrong. I love dogs BUT it's a bit irritating when all you hear is a small dog constantly barking the whole 2 hours you are there. I know this is not a golf course and there is noise at Top Golf because people are there just to hang out and have fun but I can still see how some people may be a bit annoyed with a dog barking non-stop while you're trying to swing. Even if you're not swinging, a constantly barking dog can by a bit irritating, especially if it's not your own. 2 times I went to Top Golf, there was a small dog either right next to us or 2 bays down and they were both barking the ENTIRE time. Regardless, I still love this place like crazy and I'm sure many people love it BECAUSE they are so dog-friendly. I only wish it wasn't so expensive ($40/hr during peak time which is most of the time). I could happily spend my weekends here all the time. read more

This place is a great addition for fun things to do in Austin. My very first experience was when they first opened some friends threw their sons bar mitzvah. It was AMAZING. Servers were friendly, food and drinks were great and everyone had a blast. We have since been back maybe 4 times and each time has been a blast! The concept is really neat. It's not a typical driving range where you just whack the balls. This will track how far it goes and if it makes it in a hole (there are many) We love the golf bag drinks and the mushi. Tip: Bottom floor is a bit harder to play on if you aren't an avid golfer. Try a higher up floor. read more

What a cool place this is!! They should expand to Denver for sure! I can hang out here all day. The drinks were reasonably priced. The burger was good and big. The server was even great. The big issue I had was with the food runner. She definitely looked sick and should not be serving food. I won't get into gory details of what I think she was sick with but I was glad she didn't serve me my good or I would not have eaten it. Anyways, we ordered the bacon burger. It was perfectly cooked and very juicy. Highly recommend. Just watch out for who delivers your food. read more

I really love this place. It's like a giant video game. The food is decent enough, and they have a good selection of beer. Prices aren't too bad as long as you have some friends to split it up with. This place is even fun for the non-golfer. If you suck at golf, don't worry about it. The majority of the people i've seen playing are by no means pros. Folks are just there to have a good time. Nice full bar, some pool tables and shuffleboard. Loads more to do then just play golf. My only complaint is the parking is lacking. But at least they have valet. read more

Cool concept, but I feel like I'm in Dallas. Update: My initial comment was from the bar waiting for my friends to show up. The place was a mad house. Also, I'm a big soccer fan. USA was playing Costa Rica at that moment. This place is basically is giant sports bar. So why the F don't they have Fox soccer channel. I think a lot of people would have been interested in seeing that game. So I was pretty mad about that. It took about and hour and 15 minutes to get a lane. I put my name down at 7 pm. I'm OK with that. The place is popular, good for them. Just keep that in mind. Once you get your lane it's all good. The food was good. The service was good. The golf games are fun. Great business concept. read more

Top Golf is a terrible place to take small children. Don't even think about bringing a kid here unless your child is about 8 years old or older. "Why would you take your toddler to a bar/golfing entertainment complex?" you ask. This is admittedly a good question-- let me say that this was not my idea. Sometimes toddler parents just want to leave their suburban hovels for an evening and do something different. I thought it would be ok because the plans were for early in the evening. Around "baby dinner hour" if you will, the time of day where you usually see the mac-n-cheese contingent out in full force at restaurants around Austin. Toddler C and I would just eat dinner and take off after dinner. We called ahead and the staff said that they were not busy and there was no wait. Something must have happened in the following 15 minutes, because when we arrived, it was pretty packed and the husband had to wait in line for quite a long time for a membership card. We got taken to a table on the lower level. A highchair was brought out - a highchair that is normal-table-height, while all of the tables in the driving range area are bar stool-height. There is no way to feed a child in a highchair out in the driving range area unless you BYO one of those fancy highchairs that connect to the table. So Toddler C and I got banished to the lounge area indoors where there were about 3 normal height tables where you can stick a high chair. The lounge area on the first floor is pretty cool, by the way, for older kids (like elementary aged & up). There were Kinect video games they could play. I fed Toddler C his hot dog and tried to ignore the INCREDIBLY LOUD MUSIC that unfortunately got turned up even louder after we had been sitting there for about 5 minutes. Husband and friends were out in the driving range having a great time and I was stuck in the sad, loud pop music zone- which by the way, was some kind of Dead Zone for waiter service because nobody really looked at me or refilled my tea after I explained that we had already been helped by the waitress outside. Two stars because: C liked his hot dog a lot, the waitress put his order in as a rush and it did come out very quickly, and well, Top Golf is a cool place for people who don't attempt to bring small children. read more

Environment/ entertainment: 5 stars It was really fun, great facilities. Fun games playing golf. No fault of TopGolf, it was hotter than heck at 102 degrees. Service: 3 stars Was as expected, good. At tentative staff. Drinks:4 stars Really good, the beer selection was pretty good, I had the IPA on tap, nice ale, not to over hoppy. Food: 2 stars The snacks we ordered were just ok, we started off with chips, salsa and guacamole that was ok, then ordered the queso which I'm not sure how you could call it cheese dip, they used a recipe heavy in either fake cheese or cheddar condensed soup....not cheese. We then ordered what looked to be a real treat, it looked like a big orange sushi roll, but when we tasted it it had very little flavor, it was sticky sushi style rice, wrapped with a tortilla and in the center, a very bland chicken and some kind of sauce, everyone at our table tried it with anticipation, not one person liked it, too bland. Price: It's a bit pricy, the entertainment is well worth it and I'll be back. read more

Great food and atmosphere. Went here to play golf and grab a couple of drinks with a friend and it was awesome! Although it is a bit pricey on the weekends to play per hour. It was overall worth it!! Guaranteed to visit again!! read more

Cool concept, way too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Fun stuff on the menu like waffle and chicken sliders and injectable donuts. The donuts were definitely a fun crowd pleaser. Good place to socialize with friends and have a few beers. Food was sort of average, but better than most sports-related venues. I'd definitely come back though. read more

Topgolf - Chicken and waffle sliders with syrup and gravy. - New American Near Me - Austin, Texas

I would've enjoyed this place a lot more if I like playing golf. But even for a golf newbie like myself, this is a fun place to kick it with friends. Topgolf looks sophisticated and fun, with a main bar on the floor if you want to grab a drink first. I've been told the wait time used to be ridiculous, but it has now slowed down a bit. It was still tough to find a spot in the parking lot. Given that topgolf is about 4 stories high, it makes sense that it can generate that much traffic. I would recommend getting a table/spot on the second floor or up. Overall, a very pretty and fun place to be. Very spacious! I love the concept of making a more upscale driving range focused on relaxation and company. Which it is, there is no hurry and you don't have to stand around. Just hit and go sip on a drink. read more

First time ever swinging a golf club. But this place is pretty awesome. I did pretty good actually, and its fun because theres different games you can play. The people here were awesome and plenty of alcohol.. just make sure you don't fall over. read more

We just went this morning (New Year's Eve). It was a good crowd, not too crowded. I actually enjoyed it more then I thought! Like others had mentioned I've never swung a golf club before so it took me a few rounds before I got a swing of things. But finally hey look at me I was hitting targets!! Might have been the closest one but hitting targets none the less. The technology behind this place is amazing. How they keep track of your golf ball each time when there's hundreds of golf balls out there is beyond me. Must be the future, like my brother in law said. We didn't get any food, but would love to try some next time as the menu looked pretty good for bar food!! Like that you get your own private bay so you can still have convos with your friends but still people watch the competition around you. Over all, we were looking for something new and different to do for NYE afternoon since we all had it off of work. This fit the bill. We were surprised by how much fun we had and can't wait to go back! read more

I've been to Topgolf on a number of occasions. My friend celebrated birthday here as well which was lot of fun. Good finger foods, strong drinks, and of course golf - can't go wrong with that! Watch out y'all....things are getting pretty serious up at Top Golf....I don't wanna brag but I totally got a hole-in-one! It even notified all the bays around our bay so everyone could congratulate my masterful triumph! Who cares that the game celebrated my victory with a -1 (yes, NEGATIVE)...I'm still way more awesome than a lot of people! So anyway...this place is a TON of fun! I'm not much of a golfer and I definitely get super nervous having people watch me do something I know I'm terrible at...but hey, I don't come here because I like golf. I come because my husband LOVES it and is awesome at it. I come because my best friends boyfriend loves golf (and who doesn't like to watch their man beat someone elses man at something? =P). The food is super delicious here. Try the mushi!!!! It's a super creative, fabulously delicious "sushi" roll did up "Mexican" style. So damn good. And their drinks are awesome, too. This past visit we ordered a few rounds of a signature cocktail that tasted exactly like a dreamsicle....the hubby got a bloody mary (bloody mary bar open on Saturday!). The service was pretty fast this time around, too. She was more than happy to bring us another round or anything we needed. But boy was it HOT! I know, we're outside...it's gonna be hot in August. They had these ginormous fans just a blowin' on all the bays. I personally wish they hadn't blown as much but who knows! Maybe that's what kept us from melting. I'd recommend not getting all dressed up to play/people watch in the Texas summer here.... Come early! The bays fill up quickly and the waits can be pretty bad sometimes. We always come around 10a to get the half price bays and get in fast. I don't care to play, but I love the look on my hubby's face as he swings those silly clubs...worth it. Oh! PS! To play in the bay, you have to load money onto your card. The money on the card cannot be used for drinks or food or anything else so maybe don't throw a bunch of cash onto the card and then be surprised when you have to pay again for food and what not...guess we're going back to Top Golf soon to spend all the pre-loaded money..... :P read more

I have only one complaint about Top Golf. It is too fantastic. The drinks are great, the food is delicious, the games are fun and engaging, and the scene is exciting. It is fun for families, workgroups, friends gathering for happy hour, or an individual who wants to work on his or her swing. The music is upbeat and I leave Top Golf feeling great every time. This does not work for me. I am getting older and I do not like when the public discovers a fantastic new place and begins to make it crowded. I want to keep Top Golf all to myself. Please don't go here. (See you there.) read more

I would like to imagine that if I had millions of dollars to start a buisness it would work like Top Golf. Every aspect is incredibly well thought out, every detail perfected. I enjoy driving ranges but while Top Golf is built around the core concept of a driving range, the experience is evolved upon in a way that people with no interest in golf can love and enjoy. And If you do love golf it's all the more fun! read more

I went to TopGolf last night for the first time and I loved it! I was with a group of about 12 people to celebrate my roommate's birthday. The first people in our party arrived at 5:00, and it was around 6:45 by the time we were taken to our bays (1 hour 45 min wait for 2 side-by-side bays on a Saturday night). I'm glad they went early, because I'm sure it would've been impossible had we waited until 7 to get there. Our party was seated at a large table in the bar area with a comfortable couch and a TV while we waited. Unfortunately, the couch was only big enough to accommodate about half of our party, so we had to keep asking for additional chairs and squishing together as more people arrived. I arrived around 6:15 (the couch was full and food/drinks had already been ordered). I asked the waiter for a menu and he pointed to the screen in the middle of the table. Obviously, it was impossible for me to look at screen on the table top (I guess that's where the menu is/where you order from?) when the table was already covered in my friends' food and drinks. Luckily, I was able to pull out my iPhone and look up the menu online. Unfortunately, there aren't many vegetarian options on the menu, but I decided to go with the cheese quesadillas. Right after my boyfriend and I ordered our food, the party host got a text indicating that our bays were ready. My boyfriend let our waiter know that we would be moving to the bays. The waiter told him that he would bring our food and checks to our bays, cool. Followed the party host to the lobby, and we were then taken outside to our bays. I was immediately in awe of how amazing this place was! It's hard to describe the setup without actually seeing it--it's massive--3 different levels, with a ton of different lanes/bays on each level. None of them appeared to be a "bad" angle or anything. There are several large targets at various distances that you try to hit the ball in. It was odd at first to see balls flying from above and below and all different directions at the same time (we were on the 2nd level). So we get to our bay, and immediately I notice that there are only 4 places to sit in each bay and 12 of us, so 4 people ended up standing the whole time. It would be better if there were additional seating, since up to 6 can play in each bay. As we were trying to figure out how to work the screen to start the game, we found out we needed member cards to play. So my boyfriend and I went back inside and waited in line for about 15 min at the front desk to get our cards. It would be helpful if the person who took us to our bay would've explained that we needed cards in the first place, and also how to work the screen at the bay. But no big deal, we figured it out. After we got back to our bay, a new waitress arrived and asked for our credit cards to start tabs. Ok? She took a little longer than I was comfortable with to return my credit card, but it was pretty busy. I ordered another margarita. Meanwhile, the first waiter came by with our previous check from the bar (but we haven't even gotten our food yet?!). Since the second waitress had my credit card, my boyfriend gave him cash. We finally start playing golf and having a blast with our friends. I was terrible at it, but you really don't need any sort of talent or skill to have fun at Top Golf. I managed to score a few points here and there. About 30-45 minutes later, our food FINALLY arrived. My quesadillas were ok, but I came here for the fun, not the food, right? At that time, my boyfriend noticed that the first waiter never brought back his change from our original check at the bar. He paid $60 and our bill was around $42 I think, so he should've brought us back $18 in change--clearly he didn't think we were giving him an $18 tip on a $42 bill. Shady! So my boyfriend talked to our waitress, she was very sweet and promptly retrieved his change. My only other minor complaint about the service was that our waitress took our orders but she didn't deliver the food/drinks--so the food/drink runners had no idea which person they were supposed to go to. Every time a drink came out, the food/drink runner girl would usually come up to me (Why me? Lol) and ask, "Who ordered a margarita?" So I would have to stop what I'm doing and ask every single person in my group, "Hey, who ordered a margarita? Did you? Did you?" Until it finally got to the right person. It was kind of annoying. It would make more sense if it was the same person taking orders and delivering food/drinks. All in all, we had an AMAZING time and we will definitely be coming again. It was the perfect place for a party. The whole concept of Top Golf is spot on--love the laid back atmosphere, fun golf games, food/drinks, music, etc. It was SO much more fun than Main Event, Dave-N-Buster's, Punch Bowl Social, Mel's, or any other drink-while-you-play-some-kind-of-game-with-friends plac read more

It's still my favorite bar in Austin...duh! We have the friendliest staff and you can tell everyone loves their job! It's a great place to work and to come to on my days off! 4 out of 5 only because it's really expensive. Really fun, really awesome staff and great drinks. Food is pretty much one step up from bar food, and it's nice to have munchies in between your turn. Fun! Excellent service!! Hopefully we'll get one in Waco soon. Great way to spend brunch.

The golfing is good and the food tastes pretty good, but the food service itself has to be considered as a "best efforts" basis. Tater tots were cold when delivered and I sent them immediately back and it took two more reminders and 30 mins - and I'm still sitting here waiting. read more

So much fun! We had a company event here, it was well managed with the service, food and driving range. Kellyanne was awesome!

Topgolf was a fun visit - especially for a work outing. They had a really nice conference room, with lots of TV screens for showing presentations, and a super easy plug & play set up. There was a nice lunch buffet, and a cool-looking drink setup (I should've taken a picture). Our group had enough for 4 bays (we had teams of 5) and it was a nice, smooth pace to play. I'll admit, I was a little confused at how the game worked when the lady was explaining the game setup and rules...so thank goodness our work group had a couple of experience Topgolfers to help us out. But looking back now, it's generally a simple concept; and you don't have to play other types of games if you don't want to. I like the Topgolf game the best: hit the ball in the hole to get points. (Too bad you don't get points for hitting the right sandtrap, because I nailed that sucker 99% of the time.) My only complaint was the location of the bathrooms. We ended up being on the very far bays on the 2nd floor (the "main" floor?), and it was a lengthy walk to get to the bathroom. It's a little inconvenient when you've been drinking. Considering how pricey things could get (drinks, food, gameplay time), it's probably not one of my top choices for an outing with me and the hubs (especially since he's not a golfer). But for a larger group, like a double date, I think it'd be fun - and much more price effective! read more

I went here last night for my sister's birthday, and we had a blast. I had never been, but the employees made it so easy for me to set up an account and find a great playing area. I think one of the best part Topgolf is the fact that you don't have to be a serious or experienced golfer to play and have a great time. The food looked amazing, and we ordered the chips and queso-- which were great. Each booth has comfortable couches, tables, tvs, heaters... everything you need to relax and have a great time. My sister (who has never really even swung a golf club before) had a great time, and by the end of the night had really started smacking them! I'll be back, and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time. read more

Really amazing place. Perfect first date, you can play to stay active, eat, and drink Truly a great environment.

So I have often wondered about this mystical place across from the Domain with netting around it. I had heard great things, but they were mainly from golfers, so I wasn't quite sure. Then, in three weeks I was here for two different work events. The first time, our group was large and not with many golfers in it, so we did more socializing, eating and drinking than golfing (read: was there for hours and I never picked up a golf club). The food was OK that time and the servers were relatively attentive given the size of our group. The second tome I went, I understood the hype, for both golfers and non golfers alike. We had four bays and two servers who were super attentive and informative about the golf games and rallied us for team scrambles to encourage everyone to get involved. We stayed hours longer than planned and had a great time in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly competition. read more
